  • Emma Stone Reportedly Has “Amicable” Split From Andrew Garfield

Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield have been one of the golden couples of Hollywood for the past four years, and when speculation began to grow that they’d split earlier this year, Emma spoke up and said she didn’t like talking about such personal things. That may have been a hint that something wasn’t right, as the duo have reportedly broken things off for good.

According to E! News, Emma and Andrew decided to let each other go due to their insanely hectic schedules, something that was getting more and more difficult to work around. However, the two of them are still friends, according to a source, and still care about each other.

Emma told WSJ Magazine this summer that she didn’t like feeding the fire when it came to her personal life, because ultimately it doesn’t matter what she says; the media will spin it any way they want.

“See, I never talk about this stuff for this exact reason—because it’s all so speculative and baseless. Once you start responding—once you’re like, ‘No, that’s not true’—then they’re like, ‘Well, if we push enough, we’ll get a comment, so let’s see what else we can make up.’ I understand the interest in it completely, because I’ve had it, too. But it’s so special to me that it never feels good to talk about, so I just continually don’t talk about it. There’s probably some rebelliousness that comes out in me after all these stories and people texting you for weeks about something that, for the most part, is not true. But even when it’s false, I would rather just let it be false,” Emma Stone said.

Stone and Garfield reportedly took a break earlier this year while he was filming the Scorsese project Silence, but reunited soon after. The former couple always tried to keep their relationship for themselves and often trolled the paparazzi when they knew they were being followed, but sources say that’s not the reason for the split.

  • Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield Split Up for Good

Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield are done. The longtime couple split up a couple of months ago, but are on good terms with one another.

“There is definitely still love for each other there,” a source tells E! News. “They remain close and are on good terms.”

Schedules in both actors’ lives made maintaining a relationship difficult. Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield spent time apart earlier in 2015, which caused many to speculate they’d broken up back then.

Not long after that, however, the two were spotted together in public on numerous occasions, looking very much together.

In the July/August issue of the Wall Street Journal magazine, Emma Stone did her best to avoid talking about a split–that may have already happened at that time.

But it’s so special to me that it never feels good to talk about, so I just continually don’t talk about it.”

“There’s probably some rebelliousness that comes out in me after all these stories and people texting you for weeks about something that, for the most part, is not true. But even when it’s false, I would rather just let it be false,” she added.

There’s no debate over true or false this time. Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield are over. Fans of both are likely mourning the end of what appeared to be a fairy tale romance–but face it. Fairy tales don’t often come true.

Given the crazy lives both Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield live, it appears a magic act would be necessary to keep the romantic fires alive.

  • Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling Back Together?

Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling are getting back together.

First was Crazy, Stupid Love. Then came Gangster Squad. If Emma Stone is not going to be with Andrew Garfield, even if just not for now, the next best thing would be Ryan Gosling.

Since Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield are on some sort of hiatus that only they seem to understand, fans are tickled at the idea that Emma Stone might have onscreen steam with Ryan Gosling in a new musical called La La Land.

The musical will be directed by Damien Chazelle, who did Whiplash. It was originally intended for Whiplash star Miles Teller and Harry Potter alum Emma Watson. But Emma Watson has attached to the upcoming Disney live-action version of Beauty and the Beast, so Chazelle went out and snagged Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling.

Well, first he asked Eddie Redmayne, but that guy has his eye on another role elsewhere and wanted to keep his line open.

The Wrap describes La La Land thusly:

La La Land is a two-hander [having two main characters, as opposed to an ensemble cast] that follows a pair of dreamers — aspiring actress Mia, who’s lonely desperate to fit in, and cocky yet charismatic jazz pianist Sebastian — who fall in love in Los Angeles. However, the city that brought them together may tear them apart, as they soon discover that balancing love and art in such a cutthroat climate isn’t easy.”

The film is slated for 2016. Justin Hurwitz is attached as composer. He worked with Chazelle on Whiplash.

Whiplash was well-received. It won J.K. Simmons an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, and the film cleaned up at Sundance 2014.

If Emma Stone extends her schedule to work on this, she and Andrew Garfield might never get time to fan that flame back up.

  • Emma Stone Getting On With Life After Andrew Garfield Break

Emma Stone is coming out of the shadows and seems ready for life to go on as she takes a “break” from her Amazing Spiderman co-star and adorable boyfriend of three years, Andrew Garfield.

Emma Stone made news on Wednesday just for daring to appear in public, along with a full description of what she was wearing and lots of pictures.

Sometimes it really must be hard to be famous.

Emma Stone and her love were first rumored to be having trouble back during awards season when Andrew Garfield didn’t accompany Emma to any of the events, many of which had nominations for her work.

The distance between Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield was initially blamed on a physical distance.

Andrew Garfield has been shooting Martin Scorsese’s latest, Silence, on location in Taiwan.

Emma Stone has been promoting Aloha, directed by Cameron Crowe and co-starring Bradley Cooper, which is due out in May. Her latest collaboration with Woody Allen, Irrational Man, which is due out in July, has also kept her busy and in the states.

Production of Silence is scheduled to wrap in May, so perhaps they could work things out when he gets back? Here’s hoping!

In the mean time, Emma Stone is in negotiations to star in Damien Chazelle’s musical La La Land.

Emma Stone should be taking over the part, which was abandoned by Emma Watson when she left to play Belle in the upcoming live-action fairytale adaptation of Beauty and the Beast.

La La Land follows aspiring actress Mia, who’s “lonely desperate to fit in, and cocky yet charismatic jazz pianist Sebastian, who fall in love in Los Angeles. However, the city that brought them together may tear them apart, as they soon discover that balancing love and art in such a cutthroat climate isn’t easy.”

Emma Stone’s rumored co-star in the musical could possibly be Ryan Gosling.

What do you think about Emma Stone’s efforts to move on after her “break” from Andrew Garfield?

  • Emma Stone, Andrew Garfield Taking A Break?

Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield have quickly become one of Hollywood’s favorite couples since they met while filming The Amazing Spider-Man, and now fans are heartbroken at the rumors that they have decided to take a break from their relationship due to their hectic schedules.

While nothing has been confirmed, the Christian Post reports that the two might be on a break–and have possibly been on one since the beginning of the year–because their respective careers have gotten too busy at the moment. Rumors began to circulate that things were off track between the couple when Garfield failed to show up on the red carpet with Stone, who was nominated for several awards for Birdman. A source says that it doesn’t mean their relationship is done for, but that Garfield has taken his role in an upcoming Scorsese film very seriously.

“He’s thrown himself in the project to the detriment of all else. But it’s too early to say the relationship is over,” the source said.

Stone has been pretty busy as well, starring in a revival of Caberet and possibly a musical by Whiplash director
Damien Chazelle. Stone is rumored to be in talks for the role after Emma Watson dropped out for Beauty And The Beast, and if she takes the part, she may be reunited with Ryan Gosling.

According to The Wrap, La La Land is a “two-hander that follows a pair of dreamers — aspiring actress Mia, who’s lonely and desperate to fit in, and cocky yet charismatic jazz pianist Sebastian — who fall in love in Los Angeles. However, the city that brought them together may tear them apart, as they soon discover that balancing love and art in such a cutthroat climate isn’t easy.”

People Magazine has reported that the duo have been discussing marriage, so it’s anyone’s guess as to what will become of their relationship once their schedules become less hectic.

“It’s one of those situations where only Andrew and Emma quite know if they’ll pick up where they left off or they’ve separated,” a source said.

  • Emma Stone Rumored To Be In Negotiations To Sing In ‘Whiplash’ Director’s New Musical ‘La La Land’

Emma Stone is rumored to be in negotiations to star in Whiplash director, Damien Chazelle’s musical, La La Land, and quite possibly with Ryan Gosling, sources told TheWrap.

When Emma Watson dropped out to star as Belle in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Emma Stone became the focus of Chazelle and Lionsgate’s search for the perfect actress to play Mia in the musical.

Ryan Gosling is reportedly the latest actor in negotiations for the male role, alongside Emma Stone.

La La Land is a two-hander that follows a pair of dreamers — aspiring actress Mia, who’s lonely desperate to fit in, and cocky yet charismatic jazz pianist Sebastian — who fall in love in Los Angeles,” said The Wrap about the plot. “However, the city that brought them together may tear them apart, as they soon discover that balancing love and art in such a cutthroat climate isn’t easy.”

La La Land is said to be a movie about “big dreams, the big city and the kind of love that makes life feel like a musical.”

TheWrap obtained a document written by Chazelle, called the “lookbook” for La La Land, which is a summation of the story, characters, look and tone of the film.

“At its core, this is a movie about artists in love–and what it means to be an artist in love in arguably the most competitive city on the planet. How do you juggle the need to find success as an artist with the need to share oneself with another human being? And how do you do so in a place where every poster, every street corner and every sign remind you of the glories just beyond reach? L.A. is the “Dream Factory,” and to me there’s something swooningly romantic about that: all those unsung songs and unrealized ideas clouding the air. By casting an affectionate eye on a pair of young hopefuls, while aspiring to the kind of full-fledged romanticism you hardly ever see in today’s movies, I hope to capture the spirit of the city I now call home, and make a movie that feels both classical and urgent–and, yes, intrinsically L.A.,” wrote Chazelle, in part.

Emma Stone has been very busy of late, especially after her Oscar nomination for Birdman. Her next project is Cameron Crowe’s Aloha with Bradley Cooper, followed by Woody Allen’s Irrational Man, with Joaquin Phoenix.

It’s no wonder Emma Stone and her boyfriend of three years, Amazing Spiderman co-star Andrew Garfield are reportedly taking a break. There just no time for romance when you’re portraying romantic leads.

  • Emma Stone and ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ Costar Andrew Garfield Taking Break?

Emma Stone and boyfriend–as well as Amazing Spider-Man costar–are reportedly taking a break from their relationship of three years. Isn’t that typically the way to ease into a full-on break up?

Us Weekly reports the two have been having problems, and haven’t been spotted together in public since some time in January.

“They had been fighting a lot and they hadn’t seen each other. They have both been working but they weren’t getting along,” a source tells the publication.

Andrew Garfield has reportedly been very busy filming Martin Scorsese’s flick Silence in Taiwan. Emma Stone has been wowing fans on the Broadway stage in Cabaret in New York City.

“He’s very in his character,” another source tells Us Weekly of Andrew Garfield.

Garlfield plays a Jesuit priest in Scorsese’s film.

“He’s lost weight, and he’s in a dark place mentally for his performance and he’s not boyfriend material right now,” the source adds.

Such is the life of an actor, however, and many of them manage to maintain their relationships while playing emotional roles.

Rumors of a split starting swirling when Emma Stone, who received numerous awards and nominations for her role in Birdman, attended several awards events solo. Andrew Garfield was nowhere to be seen.

Do you think this is the unofficial beginning of the end for Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield?

  • Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield Reportedly Taking a ‘Break’ From Their Romance

Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield are reportedly taking a break from their three-year romance, and the internet is already mourning — perhaps prematurely — the end of the adorable couple’s relationship.

Sources for People magazine said that Emma Stone, who is set to make her Broadway debut in Cabaret, and her Spiderman honey, Andrew Garfield, needed to take some time apart, reportedly due primarily to their respective busy work schedules.

Garfield is currently filming Silence, in which he plays a dark, Jesuit priest and is said to be “very in his character,” according to Us Weekly.

“Emma understands his work anxieties — it’s why she originally pulled out of ‘Cabaret’ last year and only did it this year — but they’re taking a break from seeing each other,” one source told People. “They’re both a slave to their schedules. This time last year they were privately discussing marriage.”

Other sources believe the former Amazing Spiderman co-stars will get back together once their schedules settle down a bit.

“It’s one of those situations where only Andrew and Emma quite know if they’ll pick up where they left off or they’ve separated,” the source said.

Still, another source told the magazine the break is only temporary.

“They are just separated for work,” the source said. “Andrew is overseas. They are both busy with their careers and have not seen each other.”

Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield were last publicly photographed together in New York’s West Village in January.

  • Emma Stone And Andrew Garfield: Is Their Relationship Really Over?

When Emma Stone flew solo at the Golden Globes and Academy Awards earlier this year, everybody knew that something was up. Recently, several reports claimed that the actress is going through a rough patch with boyfriend Andrew Garfield but their statements are unclear. Some sources assert that the two are simply taking a breather from their three-year relationship while others say that they have already called it quits.

According to People, Stone and Garfield are simply “on a break” due to distance. Garfield is currently in Taiwan for the filming of Martin Scorsese’s Silence while the actress was most recently seen on the other side of the world in Los Angeles. Stone is reportedly spending time with her brother after finishing the production of her new film Aloha.

A source told People that it’s too soon to conclude that the two’s relationship is over. He explained, “Emma understands his (Garfield’s) work anxieties – it’s why she originally pulled out of Cabaret last year and only did it this year – but they’re taking a break from seeing each other. They’re both a slave to their schedules.”

International Business Times also pointed out that Garfield is presently absorbed in his role as a Jesuit priest in Silence. They reported that the actor is in a “dark place mentally” and has lost weight. He has gotten too invested in his role that “he’s not boyfriend material right now.”

Meanwhile, Hollywood Life claims that the two have already split. They wrote that the two were “going on their separate ways” and that they will be happier for their decision.

“They had been fighting a lot and they hadn’t seen each other. They have both been working but they weren’t getting along,” the source revealed.

At this point, no one can exactly tell what Stone and Garfield’s relationship status is except for the two who have remained silent about the issues surrounding them. People’s source agrees with this explaining, “It’s one of those situations where only Andrew and Emma quite know if they’ll pick up where they left off or they’ve separated.”

Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield met on the filming of The Amazing Spider-Man where Garfield played the role of the superhero and Stone took on the part of his love interest. They started dating in the fall of 2011 and were last photographed together in New York around early January.

  • Emma Stone And Andrew Garfield Breaking Up?

Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield are one of the cutest couples in Hollywood, and are especially pleasing to fans of The Amazing Spiderman films.

Emma Stone has been dating Andrew Garfield for over three years, which is a long time in Hollywood standards.

But, could there be trouble for Emma Stone and her “amazing” boyfriend?

Since Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield haven’t been photographed since last January, there might be reason to assume something is going on.

Rumors began to run wild during this awards season when Emma Stone showed up for several ceremonies without her beau.

Emma Stone was having a big season since she was nominated for a Golden Globe, a SAG Award and an Oscar.

One would think Emma Stone would want to have Garfield by her side.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Klw8D0YNHE

One source close to the situation with Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield confirmed what we all feared, saying, “They had been fighting a lot and they hadn’t seen each other. They have both been working but they weren’t getting along,”

Work could very well be a serious issue with these two. Emma Stone is lighting up Broadway during her stint in Cabaret, and Andrew Garfield is filming Silence with Martin Scorsese in Taiwan.

Andrew Garfield’s role as Father Rodrigues in the film could also have something to do with the relationship distance between him and Emma Stone.

“He’s very in his character,” another insider said of Andrew Garfield.

The source added, “He’s lost weight, and he’s in a dark place mentally for his performance and he’s not boyfriend material right now.”

Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield have made it this long, do you think they can weather the storm?

  • Emma Stone Set for Broadway Debut

Emma Stone, known for film roles in The Help and The Amazing Spider-Man series, is set to make her debut on Broadway this fall. She will replace Michelle Williams in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s revival of Cabaret. Emma will play the role of showgirl Sally Bowles.

Michelle Williams will reportedly vacate the role in early November, with Emma Stone stepping into her shoes from then until some time in April. Stone has big shoes to fill in Cabaret. In addition to Michelle Williams, the role has previously been played by a slew of top notch actresses including Jill Haworth, Gina Gershon, Melina Kanakaredes, Natasha Richardson, Jane Leeves, Lea Thompson, Alyson Reed and Judi Dench. No worries, however. There is little to no doubt that Emma Stone has what it takes to make Broadway–and her role as Sally Bowles–her own.

Those worried that Stone will forgo her film work for Broadway needn’t be concerned either. She is already set to star alongside Michael Keaton, Naomi Watts, Edward Norton, and more in Birdman.

Word that Emma Stone will soon be on Broadway is spreading quickly.

One thing is for certain regarding Emma Stone heading to Broadway. Her Spider-Man costar and boyfriend Andrew Garfield will support her wholeheartedly. He received a Tony Award nomination for his Broadway performance as Biff Loman in Death of A Salesman on a Broadway stage back in 2012.

Will you head to the bright lights of the big city to see Emma Stone make her Broadway debut as Sally Bowles in Cabaret? You’ll likely be in good company. With word of her debut spreading like wildfire, however, tickets might be difficult to procure.

  • Dane Dehaan on Green Goblin, Garfield, & Hamburgers

American actor Dane Dehaan loves Andrew Garfield … and hamburgers.

The 28-year old never thought he’d get the chance to test for the role of Harry Osborne, aka the Green Goblin, in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

“I couldn’t even get an audition for this movie, for like, a really long time,” he said. “They had a different idea for who they wanted for Harry. I just kept banging down the door, ‘Give me a chance!’ Then finally, I got my shot but it was three months of not hearing anything and I thought it was over.”

Dehaan can partly thank Andrew Garfield for that.

Film director Marc Webb spoke about how Garfield was a huge advocate for Dehaan. “We brought him in at the last minute. It’s really about dynamics and Andrew and Dane had this brotherly relationship that emerged when they were screen testing.”

30-year old Garfield, who plays Peter Parker/Spider-Man, said that he had seen Dehann in Aliens, a play in New York, but also did a play reading with him in which they were playing Leopold and Loeb.

“There are actors that make you come alive and Dane is one of them. That was it for me,” Garfield said. “Then for screen test it was like we really loved each other and got each other.”

Finally, after waiting by the phone for a week after the test, Dehaan got the call. “It was just a huge battle,” he said.

Dehaan is previously known for playing Jesse on the HBO series In Treatment. He has also appeared in Chronicle, Kill Your Darlings, and Lincoln (as a union soldier).

When asked by Mania what was the most challenging scene in the new Spider-Man film, Dehaan said, “The final battle between me and Spider-Man was pretty challenging. That set was 100 degrees at least, and I had a 50-pound suit. They were pouring ice water down my suit and it was turning to steam.” In fact, Dehaan lost 7 pounds in two days due to those conditions.

Before filming, Dehaan spent eight months rigorously training and eating piles of vegetables and protein to transform himself into the well-muscled villain.

“People are always like, it must have been so hard,” DeHaan told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show. “I was like, c’mon people, I’m the Green Goblin! Who cares if you have to eat a lot to be the Green Goblin? It’s the coolest thing ever!”

However, Dehaan did suffer slight emotional side effects due to the diet and fitness regimen, prompting his trainer to recommend that Dehaan occasionally give himself permission to indulge in an “unapproved” meal.

“So my wife and I went to brunch, and I ordered a burger, and it was my first burger in four months,” Dehaan said. “And I took a bite of it, and I literally started crying in the restaurant. She was like, ‘What’s wrong?!’, and I was like, ‘It’s just so delicious!’ And she said,‘You need to stop crying.‘”

Dehaan, as well as Garfield, Emma Stone, and Jamie Foxx, can be seen in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which opens today nationwide.

  • Emma Stone Rocks Sexy Cutouts at ‘Spider-Man 2’ Premiere

Emma Stone rocked a sexy dress replete with cutouts at the New York premiere of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 on Thursday evening. The slip dress, designed by Prada, was nude in color but lent itself perfectly to her red hair and porcelain skin. Onyx and silver paillettes accented the straps and bodice. Just enough bare skin to stay classy while looking incredibly hot met many an eye between Stone’s armpit and waist.

Makeup artist Rachel Goodwin played up Emma Stone’s lips prior to the big event, blending a dark colored lip stain to offset her light skin. She added a skin illuminator and just a hint of blush to complement both the gown and the actress.

“Overall we wanted to create a look that was very glamorous and modern but with a 1970’s twist,” Goodwin said in a press release. “I definitely focused on luminous glowy skin and bold berry lips.”

Mara Roszak, the hairstylist who has styled Stone’s impeccable looks during the promotional tour, created textured loose waves for the film’s premiere. Emma debuted bangs on Thursday–a style that further enhances her natural good looks.

Emma Stone plays the role of Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, starring opposite her real life boyfriend Andrew Garfield. Garfield recently had some amazing things to say about his leading lady–both on and off screen.

  • Emma Stone Promotes Spider-Man Film in Japan

Emma Stone and her Amazing Spider-Man 2 co-stars Andrew Garfield and Jamie Foxx promoted the new film in Japan on Sunday.

Stone wowed the crowd — and her boyfriend, Garfield — at the promotional event, in a short, chic black mini dress that featured a colorful bib. Garfield was a little more low-key donning tartan pants with a black sweatshirt and blue shirt. Foxx looked dashing in a pair of jeans and a plaid button-down shirt underneath a dark sweater.

The trio shared the stage with two young Spider-Man fans who were dressed in costume. They also shot streams of Kabuki-style spider silks at the audience, and then at each other. Stone playfully arranged the webbing over Garfield’s face.

The stars arrived in the eastern country the day before, some looking exhausted after their long flights. Stone appeared tired but still fresh-faced and fashionable in a black and white checked blouse, black pants, a gray cardigan, and a black beanie. She also arrived makeup-free.

Her man also kept things casual. He arrived to the airport in black pants, a white T-shirt, and a gray cardigan. He looked deep in thought as he walked through, and had a five-o’clock shadow.

Foxx trailed close behind Peter Parker, sporting a black windbreaker and athletic pants. He also donned the cutest accessory ever, his daughter Annalise, who hung around the actor’s waist.

Spider-Man is quite popular in Japan and the film is expected to do quite well there when it is released internationally next month.

Garfield revealed recently one of the reasons why he is so good at player the superhero.

‘It’s a miracle that I ever make it on stage or in front of a camera,” Garfield stated in an interview. “I get riddled with self doubt, but so does Peter Parker. That’s the reason why I adored him. Here’s a kid who feels like me and yet manages to drag himself into that spandex. He makes sure he gives everything he has.”

  • Andrew Garfield Oscars Story Isn’t True, Says Rep

Andrew Garfield, it was reported yesterday, kept 5-year old Miles Scott–a.k.a. Batkid–from an Oscars appearance because he didn’t like the lines that were given him. However, his reps have responded to the story and say it just isn’t true.

Garfield reportedly stormed out after he added his own lines during rehearsals of the presentation he was set to do with Batkid, and the producers of the awards show had to scramble to replace the segment with “Captain America” star Chris Evans. Batkid was reportedly given a trip to Disneyland in lieu of an appearance.

The “Spiderman” actor’s reps say that the producers were the ones responsible for cutting the segment due to a lack of “fluidity” with the rest of the show, and that Garfield actually visited with Miles on the day he went to Disneyland.

“In full collaboration with the Academy and the show writer, Andrew prepared a segment for the Oscars to honor Miles Scott as the true hero that he is. As some point overnight on Saturday / Sunday morning, it was decided by those running the show that the segment didn’t work in the ceremony. They decided to pull it – Andrew and Miles were equally upset. The producers arranged for Miles and his family to visit Disneyland on Monday and Andrew drove down to visit them and to bring Miles a personal gift. Andrew did the right thing for Batkid and anyone saying otherwise is flat out lying,” the statement says.

Scott’s mother, Natalie, says they weren’t given much of a reason for the segment’s cancellation beforehand.

“I don’t know if they ran out of time, of if there was something about the segment they didn’t like,” Scott said. “It got pulled so quickly that we didn’t have a lot of insight into what was going on.”

  • Andrew Garfield Reportedly Caused Batkid’s Cut From Oscars

Andrew Garfield reportedly didn’t like the lines he was supposed to give during an Oscars presentation featuring “Batkid” and refused to appear onstage, leaving producers in a lurch.

The “Spiderman” star was slated to present with Miles Scott–the 5-year old cancer patient who was dubbed “Batkid” after a Make-A-Wish Foundation event that went viral last year–at the Academy Awards, but didn’t approve of the lines he was given and wanted to create his own. When he wasn’t allowed to do so, according to The New York Post, he refused to appear at the awards show.

“The academy was going to make him an official superhero during the Oscar ceremony. Andrew Garfield was going to appoint him ‘Batkid.’ But, in the middle of the dress rehearsal, Garfield decided he didn’t like his lines,” said a source. “Garfield refused to go by the script. He came up with his own lines. The producers felt that Garfield’s [rewrites] were not appropriate. Garfield had a tantrum. He stormed off. Miles and his family, who were at the rehearsal, were devastated.”

Miles got to see his dream come true last fall when San Francisco was turned into Gotham City just for him and residents turned out for a parade while he was dressed as his favorite superhero. And while this “source” says he was disappointed to be cut from the Oscars presentation–producers brought in “Captain America” star Chris Evans instead–he and his family were sent to Disneyland, which must have eased the disappointment at least a bit.

Garfield has had no comment on the allegations so far.

  • Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield Surf in Hawaii

The Amazing Spiderman duo Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield spent some time catching waves in Hawaii last week with surfer, Roy Russell.

Russell, known as “The Dog,” is a 60-year old legendary surfer who runs the Rory Russell Surf School at Kona, Hawaii. Over the years he beat surfing records in the Pipeline Masters and the Hawaiian Pros.

Stone, 25, and Garfield, 30, have been dating since summer of 2011 and enjoyed some time in the water on January 3, surfing, wiping out, and laughing.

According to US Magazine, “They want to marry and have a family. They’re discussing it. Their schedules have been crazy, but they’re madly in love.”

However, the couple attempts to keep their relationship out of the limelight. Last year when Garfield was asked about Stone and if there was a “danger in taking work home,” he said, “Well, you’re assuming something there, which I will not be commenting about.”

Garfield, born in Los Angeles in 1983, maintains a dual citizenship between the United States and the United Kingdom, where his mother and paternal grandparents are from. His family moved back overseas when he was three years old, living in Epsom, Surrey.

During the ski sessions, Stone wore a long-sleeved shirt and shorts over a bikini and Garfield wore blue striped board shorts and a tank top.

In the sequel to The Amazing Spiderman, Stone and Garfield will continue to play the onscreen couple Gwen Stacy and Peter Parker.

The Amazing Spiderman 2 hits theaters in May 2014.

For all the superhero film lovers out there, the Amazing Spider-Man 2 trailer has finally arrived. With much anticipation about the plot, and what villains will be present in the next film, the trailer does a great job at spoiling all of that.

The new trailer for Amazing Spider-Man 2 presents Spider-Man fans with multiple villains and a ton of action in order to get everyone excited about the new film. Instead of seeing Tobey Maguire in the role, fans will see a return from Andrew Garfield, who played Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the reboot of the series, which was released in 2012.

After the first three Spider-Man films were made, a reboot was done, switching the title to Amazing Spider-Man, which is also what a line of the comics have been called for a long time. Peter Parker sees his enemies continue to grow with one thing in common, that they are all connected in some way to OsCorp, run by his old best friend’s father, Norman Osborn.

The film features an excellent cast once again, and in addition to Andrew Garfireld as Peter Parker and Emma Stone playing Gwen Stacy, Paul Giamatti and Jamie Foxx will both be seen as new villains. Dane Dehaan, who has been seen in several films in the past year, will be playing Harry Osborn, who will certainly have some dirty tricks up his sleeve as well.

Throughout the Amazing Spider-Man 2 trailer, several new villains are able to be spotted including Electro (Foxx), Rhino (Giamatti), and even a glimpse of Vulture’s wings will have fans talking. Harry and his father, Norman Osborn, return as well, with plans of their own. This sets up for all sorts of plot ideas, and with plenty more to come, as sequels are already set up for 2016 and 2018.

The new film, Amazing Spider-Man 2, is set to be released on May 2nd, 2014, shortly before its predecessor, which was released on July 4th.

  • Andrew Garfield Vouches For Bisexual Spiderman

With Pride month, the overturn of DOMA and Prop 8, and strides towards possible legislation that would provide protection against discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender, the nation has been in a whirlwind of progress for LQBTQAI+ individuals and their rights. And now, it seems like Hollywood might be close behind in supporting the equality cause; at least, if Andrew Garfield has anything to say about it.

Andrew Garfield, the actor who portrays Spiderman’s current on-screen incarnation, is not shy about his support for equality; he came out publicly about his support in April of this year, according to his Wikipedia page. When expressing his thoughts about his role in the 2006 play Beautiful Thing, which centers around a gay teenage boy named Jamie, Garfield proclaimed, “There is no argument against equality. How can anyone argue against compassion and understanding?”

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Garfield claimed that, during a conversation with The Amazing Spiderman‘s producer Matt Tolmach, the subject of Peter Parker’s sexuality was broached. When talking about Mary Jane Watson (Parker’s love interest), Garfield said, “What if MJ is a dude? Why can’t we discover that Peter is exploring his sexuality? It’s hardly even groundbreaking! … So why can’t he be gay? Why can’t he be into boys?”

The likelihood of Garfield’s idea ever reaching the big screen is unlikely, though the future is murky. The LGBTQAI+ community has been teased with possibilities of queer-identifying heroes before, but with few promises kept, especially when it comes to popular blockbusters, like Spiderman. The idea of a bisexual Spiderman isn’t completely out of the question, however; Batwoman and Green Lantern have both seen queer-identifying incarnations. The fact that Garfield is so public with his support and ideas, however, is enough for many people in the LGBTQAI+ community; it sparks a conversation that could lead to bigger changes in the future.

This writer, personally, is incredibly supportive of a bisexual Spiderman. Tackling bi (and pan) erasure while bolstering LGBTQAI+ representation in media, especially popular media, would be a huge step in achieving equality and justice for every individual who prides themselves on being a member of the queer community.

  • Emma Stone, Andrew Garfield Break Record with Spider-Man

Emma Stone is, quite frankly, the only reason I want to see director Marc Webb’s “The Amazing Spider-Man”. The idea of sitting through yet another Peter Parker/Spider-Man origin story doesn’t sound overly appealing, though the allure of Emma Stone might be enough to separate me from the wad of money in my wallet. Call me shallow if you wish, but Stone’s limitless appeal is enough to put this guy’s butt into a well-worn theater seat.

Speaking of “The Amazing Spider-Man”, the film broke records on Tuesday, amassing nearly $35 million in ticket sales. As a result, Webb’s web-slinging cinematic adventure has the highest Tuesday gross in history, a title previously held by Michael Bay’s “Transformers”. This, of course, is pretty good news for the suits at Sony Pictures, who reportedly rushed the feature into production in order to retain the rights to the franchise. It would seem the gamble is paying off.

As for Stone, she arrived at the North American premiere dressed a bit more casually than we’re used to seeing her. In fact, everyone in the embedded photo — including her real-life boyfriend and star Andrew Garfield — dressed down for the occasion. Honestly, it’s not the most flattering of images for all involved, but at least Stone doesn’t look quite as lost as her co-stars.

  • Andrew Garfield Stares at Spiders, Drools Over Ryan Gosling

Andew Garfield is a brave man. Not only does he have an entire franchise resting on his shoulders with the upcoming release of Marc Webb’s “The Amazing Spider-Man” — which requires a certain amount of strength in its own right — he also closely studied arachnids in preparation for the role. This is precisely why I wouldn’t tackle this sort of film. If there’s even a remote chance that I will be forced to come into some sort of contact with spiders, you can automatically count me out. Because, you know, I’m scared to death of them.

Garfield, on the other hand, learned quite a bit from his eight-legged friends during their time together. “I had the most direct link to animal study in the world, that I could have ever used,” the actor explained to MTV News. “It helps you play in a different way and use your imagination in a different way. I just watched spiders whenever I saw them and tried to emulate that patience, that stillness. When you apply that to a teenage boy who is jerky, twitchy and anxious, as soon as that DNA gets messed with, you can find a patience and a stillness. They’ll dance differently and use their space differently. It was a fun thing to play with.”

In case you’re unfamiliar with the property and are curious to know how this relates to Garfield’s upcoming motion picture experience, allow me to explain. Andrew stars as nerdy Peter Parker, a high school student who likens his superhuman abilities to that of arachnids. After piecing together a costume and developing gadgets that allow him to shoot a web-like substance from his wrists, Parker sets out to unravel the mystery surrounding his parents’ disappearance. It’s a bit more complex than that, but this should be enough to get you started.

According to Digital Spy, Garfield also has an affinity for an altogether different kind of creature: “Drive” actor Ryan Gosling. In a recent interview, the man who would be Peter Parker said, “He’s just a dreamboat. It’s undebatable. He’s just stunning. Not only physically, but in terms of talent – a general sex appeal that he has.”

All of this carrying-on has everything to do with the release of “The Amazing Spider-Man”, which hits theaters across North America tomorrow (July 3). If you’ve somehow missed the trailer, you can find the clip embedded below. Also, if you need a quick Emma Stone fix, check out this article about the actress. She’s cute, and there are pictures. Nuff said.
