  • Amber Heard Faces Two Charges of Illegal Importation, One Charge of Producing False Document for Bringing Dogs to Australia

Amber Heard is due in court in Queensland, Australia on Monday, but attorneys for the Rum Diary star will appear on her behalf. She is facing two charges of illegal importation and one charge of producing a false document–all stemming from when she and hubby Johnny Depp brought their dogs–Yorkshire terriers Boo and Pistol–into Australia earlier this year in their private jet.

Lawyers for Amber Heard are hoping to be granted an adjournment of the charges until a later date–possibly one at which Heard will answer for the charges herself.

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard made international headlines back in May when they allegedly smuggled their dogs into the country while he was filming the last installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. Their dogs posed a bio-security because the United States isn’t rabies free.

Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce came down hard on both Amber Heard and Johnny Depp, and soon gave the pair just 48 hours to get their dogs out of Australia or risk them being euthanized. The dogs were flown back to the U.S. on a private flight.

In even more recent news for the couple, Amber Heard and Johnny Depp were spotted sharing lots of PDA at the Venice Film Festival this weekend. The two attended the premiere of The Danish Girl.

Do you think Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have any respect for Australian laws? They seemed quite put out when they weren’t allowed to keep their dogs in Australia with them.

  • Pat Houston, Cissy Houston, Dionne Warwick Spotted at Bobbi Kristina Brown’s Burial

Pat Houston, Cissy Houston, and singer Dionne Warwick were among the mourners spotted at Bobbi Kristina Brown’s burial in Westfield, New Jersey on Monday. Bobbi Kristina was laid to rest next to her mother, Whitney Houston.

Pallbearers at Bobbi Kristina’s burial wore pink Converse sneakers and pink belts. Bobbi Kristina’s body arrived at the cemetery in a gold hearse, similar to the one that transported Whitney Houston’s body when she died back in 2012.

Pat Houston stood by Bobbi Kristina from the time she was first hospitalized back in late January. The only daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown was discovered facedown in the bathtub of her Roswell, Georgia home on January 31st. She never regained consciousness. Pat Houston was by her side at the hospital, in the rehab facility, and at the Peachtree Christian Hospice where she passed away a week ago Sunday.

A funeral reception was held at Pat Houston’s Atlanta home for Bobbi Kristina following Friday’s funeral, and even though Leolah Brown–Bobby Brown’s aunt–interrupted Pat Houston as she prepared to speak at the funeral, she still hosted Leolah at her home for the reception.

Leolah Brown told the media who were camped outside of the funeral home Friday, “Whitney Houston will haunt Pat Houston from the grave.”

It’s uncertain if Leolah Brown traveled to New Jersey with the rest of the Brown and Houston families for Bobbi Kristina’s burial or not, but it no doubt took a great deal of grace on Pat Houston’s behalf to allow her into her home on Friday.

One would hope that the Brown and Houston families would stop feuding now that Bobbi Kristina has been laid to rest. It’s not likely that will happen right away, however. In Whitney Houston’s will, it says in the event of Bobbi Kristina Brown’s passing, her fortune is to be split between Cissy Houston and Whitney’s two brothers. Pat Houston is married to one of those brothers.

How long do you expect it might be before true peace visits the Brown and Houston families?

  • Cissy Houston, Bobby Brown Battle Over Guest List for Bobbi Kristina’s Funeral

Cissy Houston and Bobby Brown are supposedly battling it out over the guest list for Bobbi Kristina’s funeral. Scheduled for Saturday at the St. James United Methodist Church in Alpharetta, Georgia, the funeral is by invite-only, and it’s apparently those invites that have the Houston and Brown families at odds with one another again.

Bobbi Kristina will be buried in New Jersey on Monday, beside her mom Whitney Houston. This is no doubt a huge relief for Cissy Houston who lives in New Jersey and will be able to visit both her daughter and granddaughter’s graves at the same time.

Cissy Houston has reportedly put her foot down to Bobby Brown over certain members of his family that she doesn’t want attending Bobbi Kristina’s funeral.

“Family is supposed to come together at this time and you would think now that Krissy is gone they would. But it’s not the case,” a source says. “Bobbi hasn’t been gone 24 hours and Cissy [Houston] already making it clear to Bobby [Brown] that she doesn’t want certain members of his family at her wake or funeral. She doesn’t anyone trying to make a quick buck off selling pictures of Bobbi in a coffin like someone did to Whitney.”

That does make sense, seeing as how a picture of Whitney Houston in the funeral home was sold and published in numerous media outlets after her death.

“Cissy wants this process to be peaceful, respectful and to handled with dignity. She’s made her demands clear to Bobby and she’s enlisting the help of her Houston family members to support her in this decision,” the source adds.

It will certainly be interesting to learn who winds up invited to Bobbi Kristina Brown’s funeral and who doesn’t. And it will be interesting to see if Bobby Brown and Cissy Houston acknowledge one another at the funeral.

Even though Bobbi Kristina’s funeral won’t be televised like Whitney Houston’s was, the press will definitely be outside, reporting on the comings and goings of family members and guests.

  • Bobbi Kristina Brown Funeral Scheduled for Saturday, Burial on Monday–Families Fighting

A funeral for Bobbi Kristina Brown will be held on Saturday at the St. James United Methodist Church in Alpharetta, Georgia, according to a report from Atlanta television station WXIA. Her body will then be flown to New Jersey, where she will be buried beside her mother, Whitney Houston.

Saturday’s service begins at 11 a.m., but is reportedly only open to those who receive invitations. The burial is invitation-only as well. The New York Daily News reports that Bobbi Kristina’s boyfriend Nick Gordon is not on the guest list.

Bobbi Kristina Brown died on Sunday at the Peachtree Christian Hospice outside of Atlanta. Her body was released to her family–following an autopsy–on Tuesday.

Funeral planning for Bobbi Kristina isn’t proceeding without a hitch, as both the Brown and the Houston families have different ideas of how Bobbi Kristina should be honored.

“The Houston family really wants Bobbi Kristina‘s funeral to be a big celebration of her life. They want it to have a party atmosphere, filled with laughs not tears. Unfortunately Bobby Brown doesn’t agree with this. He’s absolutely heartbroken and doesn’t like the idea of it being like her ‘Sweet 16′ party. He and the Houston family are really butting heads over who is running the show,” Hollywood Life reports.

Bobbi Kristina Brown’s funeral won’t be broadcast on TV the way Whitney Houston’s funeral was back in 2012.

“Absolutely no plans on broadcasting the funeral. Just like the deathbed photo that has been shopped around, they don’t want to have anyone financially gain from her loss. The family doesn’t want anyone to make money from this tragedy and make this more of a spectacle than it already has become,” a source says.

It is no doubt a terrible time for the Brown and the Houston families. And while they never got along prior to the Bobbi Kristina tragedy, it’s important for them to try to get along now, as they all prepare to lay her to rest.

Fighting won’t help any of them as they grieve. They are all grieving the same loss–that of a 22-year-old who is gone way too soon.

Do you think the Brown and Houston families can curb their fighting in order to properly honor Bobbi Kristina?
