  • Amanda Bynes Sexy and Chic in Rare Outing Photo

Amanda Bynes was both sexy and stylish when spotted out and about for the first time in about three months on Wednesday. The All That star was photographed while leaving Craig’s restaurant in West Hollywood, wearing black leather pants, a long-sleeved white top, and big black sunglasses.

Wearing her blonde locks flowing, Amanda Bynes looked the best she has looked in a long time. The actress has suffered from both addiction issues and mental illness, but seems to be doing well at the moment.

Her attorney, David Esquibias, told Us Weekly earlier this week that she is in a really good place right now.

“Amanda is doing great,” he said. “She appreciates all of the love and support she receives from family, friends and fans.”

Amanda Bynes completed her rehab stint back in October. Her most recent controversy came shortly after her release. In November she accused her father of sexual abuse. She has since withdrawn her accusation, however.

“I’m sorry I trusted people who clearly were not my friends and capitalized on my illness,” Amand Bynes said in a statement to Us Weekly, via Esquibias, at the time. “I am doing my best to get better. I am truly sorry for the statements I made. I am sorry for any pain I caused my family and others.”

Amanda Bynes reappeared on social media in March.

It’s no doubt refreshing for fans of Amanda Bynes to see the actress out for dinner, looking healthy and attractive once again. While in the throes of her illness, she often appeared unkempt, and at one point either had blue hair or sported a long blue wig.

Her new look promotes a far healthier image.

  • Amanda Bynes Enrolled In School, On Road To Recovery

Amanda Bynes made headlines seemingly every day last year after she had a rather dramatic meltdown and several run-ins with the law; the former Nickelodeon star was arrested for DUI, for an odd incident involving a bong being thrown out of a window, and for starting a gasoline fire in a stranger’s driveway in California. Soon after, she was hospitalized for several weeks in a rehab facility, and now that sentencing for the DUI is behind her, she’s focusing on recovering.

The former child star was given three years probation this week and must complete an alcohol education program after she entered a no-contest plea for the DUI charge. The penalty will allow her to continue to attend classes at Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Orange County, where she is enrolled for the winter term while she lives with her parents.

In January, Bynes entered a week-long fitness program at Miracles Fitness Retreat in Utah. According to owner Austan Torson, the actress “was interested in getting healthier… to get in better shape, to lose about five pounds, but mainly to strengthen up and eat healthier.”

According to her lawyer, Bynes has a “long road” ahead of her, but her legal troubles are diminishing by the day; if she attends counseling and stays out of trouble over the next several months, the bong-throwing incident may get wiped from her record.

  • Amanda Bynes: Does She Seem Better Post-Rehab?

It seems that for one reason or another so many child stars at some point end up in a rehabilitation center. Even more disconcerting, many of these young people are unable to overcome their inner demons.

When you think of Amanda Bynes as the funny adorable little girl on Nickelodeon’s “All That” and later a quirky teen on “The Amanda Show”, it’s sad to think about what’s happened to her.

Many mocked Bynes’s very public breakdown or ignored the warning signs that something was very very wrong. Often, public breakdowns by celebrities are treated as entertaining and hilarious, the flip-side of the hateful and suspicious manner in which mental illness and/or addiction is treated in the United States.

The 27-year-old spent six months in rehab before being released to the custody of her parents.

Since her release, everyone has been on the lookout for any signs as to whether her stint in rehab has resulted in any positive changes…or whether a future breakdown or relapse is forthcoming.

Concerned about the weight she picked up during her time in rehab, Bynes has focused her time and energy on working out and eating healthy meals. Early in January, she spent a week at Miracles Fitness Retreat. The trip was reported to have cost $3,250. Her parents also routinely drop the former child star off at the gym.

In addition to trying to strengthen and improve her body, there are signs that Amanda Bynes is looking to lay the foundation for a future business. She is said to have enrolled in the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM).

Even though she’d initially shown interest in fashion designing, she’s decided instead to pursue merchandise product development. Does this mean we can expect an Amanda Bynes perfume at Macy’s in a couple of years? Or will she go a more unique route?

In any case, the focus and determination is encouraging. Hopefully it’s a sign that Ms. Bynes has put her terrible experiences behind her.

  • Amanda Bynes Bong Case May Be Dismissed

Amanda Bynes Bong Case May Be Dismissed

Since being home from rehab, Amanda Bynes has been on her best behavior and has stayed out of the media for the most part. Her good behavior could help her out with her current bong-tossing charges, if she continues it. A judge recently ordered that if Bynes continues to behave and agrees to go to counseling twice a week, the charges against her will be dropped.

Bynes was charged with reckless endangerment and marijuana possession when police were called to her apartment because building managers had reported that she was smoking pot in the lobby. When the police arrived at Bynes’ apartment, they caught her throwing a bong out the window.

Bynes was arrested and seemed to be out of it when she appeared in court for the charges wearing a messy wig, claiming she was innocent. Bynes continued on her downward spiral for several months until she was institutionalized after starting a fire in the driveway of a home in Thousand Oaks, California.

Bynes stayed in the inpatient mental health treatment facility until December of last year. After leaving the facility, she moved in with her parents and seems to be doing much better. Recent photos of Bynes show her looking healthy and she know longer wears strange wigs or clothing.

If Bynes can manage to stick to the rules set by the judge, she will not have to go back to court and the charges will be dismissed. If Bynes refuses to go to counseling as required or is arrested within the next 6 months, the case will not be dropped and Bynes will have to fight the charges in court.

  • Amanda Bynes Leaves Rehab In Time For Christmas

Spending the holidays in rehab doesn’t sound like much fun. Luckily for Amanda Bynes, she doesn’t have to worry about that. Bynes was recently released from the facility where she has been receiving inpatient treatment for over four months.

According to an attorney for Byne’s mother, Bynes is home with her parents and is making plans for her future. Bynes is also still getting treatment for her problems.

“She is undergoing outpatient treatment several times a week.” The attorney said. “She is excited to be home with her family during the holidays and especially happy to re-establish a loving relationship with her parents. Although she is focusing on her health at the moment, she is looking forward to attending school at some point and perhaps even studying fashion design.”

Bynes has had a rough year and many people were wondering if she may have some type of mental issue. She seemed to be in a downward spiral and in July was detained for a mental health evaluation after being involved in a residential disturbance. She was also arrested for driving under the influence.

Friends and family members close to Bynes began to worry about her mental stability after she began changing her appearance and acting strangely. Bynes will be staying with her parents and allowing her mother to take care of her finances while she continues to recover.

  • Amanda Bynes Will Remain in Psychiatric Treatment

Amanda Bynes’ lawyer, Gerald Shargel, reportedly told a New York judge the troubled actress will be undergoing psychiatric treatment in California for up to 18 more months. Shargel informed Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Diana Boyar of the troubled star’s status Thursday at a hearing in Bynes’ bong-throwing case, the New York Post reported.

“She’s in a hospital in California. It’s uncertain when she will be released. Obviously she is being treated there,” the Post reported Shargel said at Thursday’s hearing. “We are in touch with the district attorney’s office and we hope to resolve this by Dec 5.”

In this case, Bynes, 27, is accused of tossing the drug paraphernalia out of a 36th-floor window of her apartment last May. She was charged with tampering with evidence, reckless endangerment and possession of marijuana after the incident. Bynes has been hospitalized for an undisclosed mental illness since July, when the former child star was placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold after she tried to break into a retirement community in her hometown of Thousand Oaks, California.

The following night, she allegedly set a small fire in a driveway, which led to police involvement and her eventual hospitalization.

The bong-tossing incident is not even the only case that Bynes is dealing with right now. In a drunk driving case in California, Bynes’ California lawyer Rich Hutton said Tuesday she is mentally unfit to stand trial for a charge related to her April 2012 arrest in Los Angeles. He said the actress currently does not have the mental capacity to understand the legal proceedings. The judge in that case transferred the matter to a mental health court, which will conduct a hearing to determine Bynes’ mental competency.

The actress actually once had a bright future ahead of her before the pressures of growing up Hollywood got to her. Amanda is known for her work on TV’s “What I Like About You” and “The Amanda Show,” as well as in the film “Hairspray”, while her most recent major screen credit was a supporting role in 2010’s “Easy A”. Unfortunately, that once bright career has been overshadowed in recent years by her bizarre Twitter rants and frequent run-ins with the law.
