  • Amanda Bynes Re-Enrolled in Fashion and Design School, Doing Well

Amanda Bynes, the troubled actress who got her start on Nickelodeon, has re-enrolled in fashion and design school and is said to be doing well. Once again taking classes at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, an attorney for her parents confirms that Amanda Bynes has made great strides in recent months. The star of The Amanda Show has a past riddled with alcohol, substance abuse, and mental illness problems.

“We are all so proud of her, and can’t wait to see her amazing designs on the runway someday,” Tamar Arminak tells People magazine.

It was back in August of 2014 when Amanda Bynes stopped attending classes at the institute. She was arrested for DUI just a month later.

Earlier this summer, it was becoming increasingly clear that Amanda Bynes was putting the pieces of her rather turbulent life back together again.

“Amanda is doing great. She appreciates all of the love and support she receives from family, friends and fans,” her attorney David Esquibias said in June.

By August, Amanda Bynes was back on social media and was seen accompanying designer Michael Costello to a gala in L.A.

While it’s wonderful to see Amanda Bynes having made such accomplished strides in recent months, she remains under the conservatorship of her parents. Hopefully in time, she will have that now-necessary burden lifted, too.

  • Amanda Bynes Shares Self-Portrait on Twitter

Amanda Bynes is back on Twitter and she recently shared what many believe is a self-portrait sketch with her followers. The former All That star was off Twitter for about three months during a fairly trying time in her life.

It’s been a difficult year for Amanda Bynes, as she has battled mental illness and had some major disagreements with her parents about the conservatorship they hold over her. She is reportedly doing better these days.

She “is doing much better from where she was months ago,” a family source said in an interview with People magazine last month. “She has her own apartment and is much happier. She and her parents are getting along and Amanda is clear-headed, more focused and has more independence.”

It was on Tuesday that Amanda Bynes shared the following sketch with her Twitter followers.

Although Amanda Bynes’s parents still hold the conservatorship over their daughter–meaning they control her finances and her medical care–her case comes up for review again in June. It will be interesting to learn if the judge dissolves the conservatorship at that time, and will no doubt be based on the behavior displayed by Amanda Bynes between now and then.

It’s good to hear some positive things about Amanda Bynes for a change. Hopefully she will continue on an upward climb and maybe even return to school. She was attending fashion design school prior to her last meltdown, which she claimed was caused by bipolar disorder.

  • Amanda Bynes: Is Her Mental State Improving?

Amanda Bynes is living on her own for the first time in quite a while, which is a strong indication that her mental state is improving. The conservatorship over the All That and The Amanda Show star was extended by a judge in Ventura County last week, which means her parents are still in charge of both her money and her medical care, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some clear signs of improvement.

Another plus for Amanda Bynes is the dropping of a DUI case from last September. She faced charges for violating parole with this charge. The dismissal means there is one less hurdle in her way to recovery.

“Amanda is doing well,” her lawyer, David Esquibias told People magazine.

“Amanda is doing much better from where she was months ago,” another source tells People. “She has her own apartment and is much happier. She and her parents are getting along and Amanda is clear-headed, more focused and has more independence.

In addition to Amanda Bynes, her parents must be thrilled about the improvements she is making. They took the brunt of her abuse, being called out by the actress on Twitter for ruining her life. She even accused her father of sexual abuse, and threatened to kill him.

Mental illness is no laughing matter, and sadly, many have laughed in the face of what Amanda Bynes has experienced. Hopefully she will continue her upward climb–doing well living on her own, and getting along with her parents.

Do you expect Amanda Bynes will ever return to acting or has she done too much damage to ever go the Hollywood route again?

  • Amanda Bynes On The Road To Normalcy?

Amanda Bynes On The Road To Normalcy?

Amanda Bynes just might be on her way to being normal again.

The 28-year-old troubled starlet had it really rough last year. Amanda Bynes accused her father of molesting her, threatened to murder him, and was caught wandering around aimlessly and weirdly several times.

Amanda Bynes, however, got some good news. Sort of.

During a closed discussion on Tuesday, a Ventura County, California judge extended Amanda Bynes’ conservatorship order, which gave her parent’s control over her finances and medications, until a June court date.

The good news is, Amanda Bynes’ DUI charge from back in September was dismissed. She was facing probation violation charges.

Amanda Bynes is said to be doing much better.

A family source revealed, “Amanda is doing much better from where she was months ago. She has her own apartment and is much happier. She and her parents are getting along and Amanda is clear-headed, more focused and has more independence.”

That is a far cry from Amanda Bynes’ mental state back in November, during which she said in an audio recording, “If your father was my father … then you would understand why you’d want to slit his wrists … I haven’t decided how I want to murder him … I don’t believe in murder … He literally like is the worst person … Nothing would give me greater pleasure than like slitting his throat. That is what I would love to do.”

The audio continued, “So like I’m not gonna like ever do such a thing, but like I call my mom and like I threaten to kill her, and I threaten to slit her wrist, and I threaten to like burn down her house and like I said a bunch of s––– like that.”

Hopefully, Amanda Bynes will have a chance to get her life together and live like a normal young lady.

Do you think Amanda Bynes can get it together?

  • Amanda Bynes Lives Alone, Conservatorship Intact

Amanda Bynes is doing well following her lashing out at her parents via Twitter, and recent erratic behavior. She is living on her own. However in court on Tuesday, a Ventura County, California judge extended the conservatorship over the actress until a hearing on June 23rd. This means her parents are still in control of both her finances and her medical care.

On an even more positive note, the DUI case from September 2014–for which Amanda Bynes was facing charges for violating her probation–has been dismissed.

“Amanda is doing well,” her lawyer, David Esquibias told People magazine.

Released from a psychiatric facility back in October, Amanda Bynes was first arrested in 2012 for DUI. She was placed on three years’ probation in 2014 for that incident.

“Amanda is doing much better from where she was months ago,” a source tells People. “She has her own apartment and is much happier. She and her parents are getting along and Amanda is clear-headed, more focused and has more independence.”

Amanda Bynes’ claim to fame first came on the Nickelodeon network, where she starred in shows like All That and The Amanda Show. She also appeared in films including Hairspray and She’s the Man.

Although Amanda Bynes has certainly exhibited some bizarre behavior in recent years, certainly most are thrilled to hear that she is doing so well. Mental illness is a serious disease, and often requires both medicine and therapy in order for patients to live happy, fulfilling lives.

Hopefully Amanda Bynes can attain both.

  • Heidi Montag Reaches Out to Troubled Amanda Bynes, Offering Her a Place to Stay

Heidi Montag has reached out to troubled actress Amanda Bynes, offering her a place to stay.

The former The Hills star made her offer after photos of the beleaguered actress sleeping on a couch at the Beverly Center shopping mall in Los Angeles were released on Thursday.

Earlier in the day, Bynes tweeted that she wasn’t given money for a hotel from her parents, so she has been staying with friends and fell asleep on the mall couch.

TMZ reported on Thursday that Bynes’ mother, Lynn, is relinquishing the conservatorship over her daughter because she just can’t handle it anymore. Apparently, a mental health professional better equipped to care for Bynes will take over, while a money manager will take over Bynes’ finances.

On Tuesday, it was reported that Bynes’ parents were giving her $50 and $100 gift cards to get by rather than cash.

The actress, who was reportedly diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, has been tweeting a slew of disgruntled tweets about her family’s control over her money. A judge gave conservatorship of her assets to her parents last month after the actress displayed more and more disturbing behavior, which was attributed to her mental illness.

The 28-year-old was released from the Las Encinas psychiatric facility on Oct. 30.

  • Amanda Bynes: Have Parents Finally Given Up On Their Troubled Daughter?

While onlookers contemplate the state of Amanda Bynes’ mental health, it appears the troubled starlet’s parents can take no more.

In an exclusive report, TMZ claims that Bynes’ mother and father will surrender her conservatorship to a third party.

Amanda Bynes was furious at her mom and dad over their attempts to interfere in her life as well as their successful acquisition of her finances.

The 28-year-old even went as far as to accuse her father of sexual abuse, but she later recanted.

Bynes seems to be making all sorts of bizarre claims, but one consistent theme present in all of her angry ranting is the desire to have financial freedom from her parents.

Said Bynes via Twitter, “[My parents] are withholding my belongings and money from me so I don’t have new clothes or enough money to rent an apartment.”

Amanda claimed that she would not speak to either of her parents until someone else was placed in charge of her spending habits.

“Until I get a different conservator [I’ll] look terrible,” said Bynes. “I don’t have enough [money] to get new clothes or anything I need.”

A judge previously ruled that Bynes’s mother Lynn would be the one to make the financial decisions for her daughter.

However, it seems that Amanda Bynes’ parents have come to the end of their rope regarding this heartbreaking and highly volatile situation.

A source told TMZ that within a few days Amanda Bynes will find her finances in the hands of a mental health professional. One that the gossip site reports is experienced with dealing with persons who suffer from extreme mental health issues.

It’s unclear from TMZ‘s report whether or not financial responsibility will stay with that person or whether or not it will be shared with a financial adviser.

Attorney David Esquibias, who represents Amanda Bynes, told Access Hollywood that she and her parents had “amicable communications over the past few days”.

This turn of events seems to suggest that the changes to Amanda’s situation may be working to improve their relationship.

Esquibias described Bynes as lacking a fixed address and the means through which to rent an apartment.

It’s hoped that this new arrangement will at least help Amanda Bynes find a place to live.

Bynes’ parents are reportedly moving back to their home state of Texas once the matter is settled.

  • Amanda Bynes: Parents Dropping Conservatorship?

Amanda Bynes has reportedly been released from her psychiatric hold and has been spotted wandering around Hollywood. Now it seems her parents may also be dropping the conservatorship a court granted them over their daughter in the midst of her most recent bout of erratic behavior.

Sources told PerezHilton.com that Amanda Bynes has made death threats against both of her parents, and for that reason they plan to drop their conservatorship and move back to Texas. Bynes has siblings in Texas, too, and they fear for their lives as well as for their parents’ well being.

It was just yesterday that Amanda Bynes tweeted that she has bipolar disorder. She told followers that she was both taking prescribed medication for the mental illness as well as seeing a psychiatrist.

Bynes also tweeted a series of rants that clearly pertain to the present situation between her and her parents.

It’s beyond obvious in reading these tweets posted by Amanda Bynes that the young woman needs some serious help. If she is on her medication then it may need to be altered. And if she has truly made death threats to her parents, then perhaps she isn’t fit to be back out on the streets.

Mental illness is a terrible disease, but can typically be controlled with the right combination of medication and therapy. Too often, however, patients won’t stick it out until that right combination is discovered or they simply refuse to take their meds. Hopefully someone can help Amanda Bynes find some balance before she either hurts someone else or herself.

  • Amanda Bynes, Reportedly Suffering From Bipolar Disorder, Goes on Twitter Rant

Amanda Bynes, who was reportedly diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder and is on medication, has once again taken to Twitter with some confusing statements.

On Tuesday, the beleaguered actress tweeted that she had been diagnosed with the disorder, but a subsequent tweet, which has since been deleted, seemed to insinuate that it wasn’t she who posted the tweet with the diagnoses.

“I was at a friends apartment last night and one of my friends tweeted my phone,” the subsequent post said. “sorry guys ”

The 28-year-old actress made headlines in October with bizarre behavior and posts on Twitter, in which she accused her father of emotional and physical abuse. Those posts have since been removed.

Since then, she was involuntarily hospitalized after a ruse was concocted by her parents to get her to the hospital. She was later held for a longer period after doctors determined she was not well enough to be discharged.

Later, a conservatorship hearing was held and a judge ruled that her parents would have control over her assets.

Bipolar disorder, also known as manic-depressive illness, according to the National Institute of Mental Health, causes intense emotional periods called “mood episodes.” These range from manic (extremely happy) to depressive (extremely sad).

The disorder often appears in the late teens or early 20s and can be controlled with medication.

Since Tuesday, a slew of confusing tweets have been posted by Bynes.

  • Amanda Bynes Committed, Reportedly Feels Parents Deceived Her

Amanda Bynes is presently confined to a mental facility in Pasadena, and TMZ is reporting that she hates her parents, and blames them for having her committed.

The publication reports that her parents worked in conjunction with Sam Lufti–Britney Spears’ former manager–to lure her back to L.A. from New York City.

“Lutfi convinced her to take a car service to what she believed was a Pasadena law office, where she would meet with a lawyer about suing her parents for abuse. The building was actually a mental facility. When she walked in the front door, she was restrained and involuntarily committed,” they say.

Despite Amanda Bynes’ anger over being committed, others believe Lufti–in conjunction with her parents–did the right thing.

Sources tell TMZ that Amanda Bynes feels ‘utterly betrayed’ and that her relationship with her parents is ‘destroyed forever.’

Fox News reports that upon her arrival at LAX, Amanda Bynes told photographers that she wanted to be “like Marilyn Monroe” and that she couldn’t wait for her father to be “dead in his grave.”

RadarOnline says Bynes is stuck in the mental health facility in Pasadena, as her initial hold has been extended. In fact, a source tells them she could now be there for as long as two weeks.

“Amanda’s parents are hopeful that she will remain at Las Encinas for the next fourteen days,” the source said. “She would continue to pose a significant danger to herself and others if released.”

In the meantime Amanda Bynes’ parents are once again getting the necessary legal paperwork prepared to petition for conservatorship of their daughter. For the moment, however, they are simply happy she is safe.
