Amal Alamuddin Still Lets George Clooney Ride His Motorcycle

Amal Alamuddin still makes women angry. She is the woman who finally made an honest man out of George Clooney. But people are noticing quickly that Amal Alamuddin holds her own in the word and is certainly not going to be mistaken for resting on her credentials as “Mrs. George Clooney.”

When Clooney talked with his buddy Jimmy Kimmel recently about his marriage to Amal Alamuddin, he gave a bit of an insider look on the marriage.

After being teased by Kimmel about being married like everyone else now, George Clooney says that his wife never told him that he had to get rid of anything, whether it be clothing items or friends, but he does admit to a dispute common to ordinary men.

“There is that moment when I’ve worn the same T-shirt like for a week that she says, ‘Really?’”

“I fake her out every once in a while,” he said. “I get different colors of the same T-shirt.”

“I am still allowed to ride my motorcycle. So far, so good.”

Clooney joked with Jimmy Kimmel about the tabloid coverage that his marriage to Amal Alamuddin has gotten, laughing about magazine covers that claim his marriage to her is a “sham.” The same magazine later touted that Clooney and Amal Alamuddin were expecting a baby. Clooney has more recently said that he and Amal Alamuddin were not planning to start a family.

Clooney recently told Charlie Rose on CBS This Morning that his marriage proposal to Amal Alamuddin came as a total shock to her.

“When I asked her … we had never talked about it … there wasn’t, like, ‘Hey, maybe we should get married,’” he said. “I literally dropped it on her.”

It is unclear what Clooney dropped on Amal Alamuddin, perhaps the ring itself?

  • Amal Clooney: George Clooney Gushes Over Why He Fell in Love With Her

Amal Clooney, nee Amal Alamuddin, is the wife of the very handsome George Clooney. Fans have wondered for a while now what it was about Amal that made George fall in love.

Entertainment Tonight recently became privy to some of those reasons.

“She’s an amazing human being,” George Clooney told ET’s Nancy O’Dell. “And she’s caring. And she also happens to be one of the smartest people I’ve ever met. And she’s got a great sense of humor. There’s a number of reasons why.”

George is incredibly proud of the work Amal Clooney is known around the world for.

“I’m always very proud of her when I see her speaking at the International Court of Appeals in Strasbourg [France], you know, with her robe on,” he said. “It’s very impressive.”

Amal Clooney is presently serving at NYC’s Columbia Law School as a visiting professor. That’s working out perfectly for the couple, as George Clooney is making a film in New York City.

George is also quite taken by Amal’s sense of style.

“Since the day I met her she’s always had this insanely–it’s eccentric, but it’s fun–sense of fashion,” Clooney says. “How she does it while she’s got 11 cases she’s working on? It’s crazy. It has been sort of fascinating to watch, because she has such great taste.”

Why did George Clooney fall in love with Amal Alamuddin–now the very beautiful Amal Clooney? It sounds like there are a wealth of reasons.

Sex appeal no doubt played a very important role for both George and Amal Clooney when they first fell in love, too.

  • Tala Alamuddin: Amal Alamuddin Clooney’s Sister Shares Sense of Style

Tala Alamuddin is Amal Alamuddin Clooney’s big sister, and in addition to their good looks, the sisters share a very unique sense of style.

In New York City recently, visiting her famous sister and her handsome hubby George Clooney, Tala Alamuddin was spotted in a variety of classy ensembles–each of which rivaled the coveted looks worn by her younger sister.

Based in Singapore, Tala Alamuddin isn’t just a fashion maven. She has both beauty and brains–just like Amal.

Like her lawyer sister, Tala is well-educated, having attended Richmond American International University in London. She is mother to 12-year-old Mia. Mia was a flower girl in Amal Alamuddin and George Clooney’s wedding.

“Tala is a wonderful mother, a fantastic friend,” a source close to the Alamuddin family said in an interview with People magazine. “She’s full of heart. Tala is a jewel. When I speak about Tala, I feel it’s like speaking about one of my own daughters. Tala is a giver. Always caring about her children.”

“[Tala and Amal] are very close as sisters, as friends,” the source adds. “There isn’t any rivalry, not a bit between them.”

Tala Alamuddin lived in New York before moving to Singapore, so she was no doubt right at home when visiting George and Amal recently. From the fashion sense she displayed during her visit, it’s plain to see she never left the city’s haute couture trends behind.

  • Amal Clooney Sexy on Date Night With George Clooney

Amal Clooney–the very sexy wife of eternal bachelor-no-more George Clooney–showed off her long, long legs in a little black dress while out for date night with her handsome hubby. It was Friday night when the two were spotted out on the town together.

Leaving New York City’s Babbo, Amal Clooney wore Giambattista Valli–not only was her little black dress created by the Italian designer, but her heels and white bolero were, too. Amal finished off the look with her signature red lips.

George Clooney looked quite sexy himself on Friday evening in his navy blue suit and shirt. He skipped the tie for date night, preferring a more casual chic look instead.

Amal Alamuddin married George Clooney back in September, and the couple is seen frequently in New York these days. He is there shooting a film, while she recently began her time as a visiting law professor at Columbia University.

“It is an honor to be invited as a visiting professor at Columbia Law School alongside such a distinguished faculty and talented student pool. I look forward to getting to know the next generation of human rights advocates studying here,” Amal Clooney said about her law school gig via a statement.

Do you think there is any sexier couple spotted enjoying date night in New York City? George and Amal Clooney take the cake in terms of both sex appeal and class. But don’t think you can simply stop by and visit the couple, even though they sometimes seem approachable. If you’re in Italy and attempt such a visit–even if you’re simply being neighborly–you could get arrested.

The Telegraph reports that the mayor of Italy’s Lake Como has issued an ordinance to keep paparazzi and fans who don’t know their boundaries away from the couple. Those who don’t comply will face a fine of 500 euros.

So check out Amal Clooney in her sexy little black dress when she and George are out for dinner in New York City. But don’t even consider knocking on their door (or one of them–the couple owns two homes in Italy) in Lake Como to welcome them home with a coffee cake, or you could be paying a hefty fine.

  • George Clooney And Wife Amal Alamuddin Dazzled On Golden Globes Red Carpet

George Clooney and his new wife, Amal Alamuddin, dazzled in the Golden Globe Awards red carpet. This is the first time that the couple appeared on a red carpet together as husband and wife. Alamuddin, the 36-year-old human rights lawyer, was there to support Clooney who was receiving a Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award for his work in film and television. The award was be presented to Clooney by his former ER love interest Julianna Margulies.

Mrs. Clooney stunned the red carpet with her black curve-hugging Dior gown with a silk cross-shoulder draped overlay, while her husband looked slick in a dark gray suit. Clooney was asked whether his marriage with Alamuddin was due to hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler’s jabs at him during last year’s telecast. Clooney replied with, “I didn’t do it just for them.”

Clooney and Alamuddin were married on September 27, 2014 in a lavish ceremony at the Aman Grand Hotel in Venice, Italy. The couple arrived at the red carpet an hour before the start of the Golden Globe awards, and were joined by an entourage comprised of supermodel Cindy Crawford and actor Bill Murray.

Back in September, Theo Kingma, the President of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) announced that Clooney will be receiving the Cecil B. DeMille award.

“The HFPA is honored to bestow the Cecil B. DeMille Award to George Clooney to celebrate his outstanding contributions both in front of and behind the camera,Kingma shared in a press release.

Tina Fey joked about the award during the opening monologue of the show. Fey said that Alamuddin is a “human rights lawyer who worked on the Enron case, an advisor to Kofi Annan on Syria and was appointed to a three-person commission investigating rules of war violations in the Gaza strip. So tonight her husband is getting a lifetime achievement award.”

  • George Clooney: Married to Ellen DeGeneres for Halloween

George Clooney likely had no idea that on Halloween he would be married to Ellen DeGeneres. The holiday has long been a favorite of DeGeneres’ and she goes all out each year with pranks and creepy things on the set of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Her biggest pleasure, however, is her annual Halloween costume, which receives much regalia as it is unveiled on air each year.

“Amal, the luckiest woman in the world, Mrs. George Clooney,” Ellen said on Friday’s show. Her costume was replete with a long brunette wig, a People magazine cover, and a puppet of George Clooney.

“I like Halloween because it’s the one time of year you can dress up however you want, and pretend you’re someone you’d never be in real life. For me, that’s married to a man,” Ellen DeGeneres said to her roaring audience.

Ellen DeGeneres was especially clever with this year’s Halloween costume. Her creativity actually required that she play the roles of both Amal Aladmuddin Clooney and George Clooney, too.

“Her left arm was actually the actor’s right, with the two of them firmly holding hands. Things went pretty smoothly, though George got a little handsy from time to time. He is a newlywed, though,” TheWrap writes.

In her pre-George Clooney years, Ellen DeGeneres has portrayed Nicki Minaj with ample cleavage, Sofia Vergara with her split dress, Jennifer Lopez, and even Dr. Phil. This year’s People cover of George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin’s wedding wasn’t completely original. In 2009 Ellen dressed up as her own cover of Oprah Winfrey’s O magazine.

Sadly George Clooney wasn’t on hand to watch Ellen portray him on Halloween, but he will no doubt see his stuffed puppet version, along with Ellen DeGeneres dressed as Amal. Photos are likely circulating all over the internet and on social media, too.

  • Ellen DeGeneres’ Halloween Costume Revealed

Ellen DeGeneres dressed up as Amal Alamuddin for Halloween this year.

During her talk show The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Ellen revealed her unique costume to her viewers, surprising them by dressing as George Clooney’s new bride. The couple married on September 27 in Italy in front of their closest family members and friends.

DeGeneres wore a replica of Alamuddin’s Oscar de la Renta wedding gown and a brown wig to finish off the look. Of course, her costume was complete with her groom in tow. “You can probably tell who I am. I’m Amal, the luckiest woman in the world, Mrs. George Clooney. Say hi, George,” the comedian joked.

“I like Halloween because it’s the one time you can dress up however you want and pretend you’re someone that you’d never be in real life. For me, that’s married to a man,” DeGeneres jokingly explained.

“You know, I went all out for you people, because I didn’t even wear a wedding dress to my own wedding,” she continued. “This might be my sexiest costume yet, because what’s sexier than a woman with a brain?”

Last Halloween, DeGeneres dressed as Nicki Minaj, and as Sofia Vergara in 2012.

  • Jennifer Garner’s Hilarious Theory on Why She Wasn’t Invited to George Clooney’s Wedding

Jennifer Garner has an interesting theory why she wasn’t one of the lucky ones to be invited to George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin‘s beautiful wedding in Venice.

And it has to do with lice and body odor.

The mother of three shared with Jimmy Fallon during an appearance on The Tonight Show the challenges associated with having small children attending school.

“I’ve had two mornings in a month without kids home sick. Strep throat, something they call a ‘fever virus,’ another strep throat, and then this hand, foot and mouth situation, which you should really…you don’t want that,” Garner said, to which Fallon quipped back, “Ben Affleck is now banned from my show. He’s not allowed to bring hand, foot and mouth disease onto my show.” Garner replied, “He probably did.”

“That’s not even the worst of it,” Garner continued. “You could come home and get The Call from school. You could get The Call. It is coming your way! The Call is, ‘Hi, Mr. Fallon. Um, this happens a lot, so don’t freak out, but if you could come pick up Winnie. Your daughter has a very treatable case of lice.’”

After one kid got lice, Garner said, “We all got lice. It’s making me itchy just to talk about it,” said the actress, while scratching her scalp. “This was years ago. It’s not right now. I’m totally fine right now.”

She went on to explain how the lice cure was executed for her family.

“They have people like the Lice Lady, and they come over and they comb painstakingly through your hair, and then they put something on your hair…It looks like the put Crisco in your hair but you smell a little bit like a mixture of sulfur and rosemary,” Garner explained. “And you do it everyday for a month!”

And it was during this lice infestation that Garner met Clooney for the first time.

“Actually, the first time—the only time! The only time our family had this problem, it was a day I had been combed through. I was getting the kids happy while they did them and whatever. Ben had gone early and he’d showered. He came out and he said, ‘Hey, um, there’s a party. I wanna go. Let’s go.’ And I said, ‘I can’t. I need to shower.’ I mean, I’m in, like, cargo pants. I’m nasty in a thousand [ways]. He’s like, ‘Come on! I mean, we have a babysitter. I want you to come with me.’ So, I get in the car and I go with him because he acted like I was going to be high maintenance. I don’t ever want to be called high maintenance. I am not a high maintenance chick! So I’m like, ‘What’s the big deal? No one’s gonna notice,’” the star of Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day recalled. “We show up and the first person I see is George Clooney, and I’d never met George Clooney. I was kind of like, ‘Ah, he’s so handsome! Like, oh, my God!’ So, I see him and I walk up to him and I’m chatting with him, just trying to act like it’s cool…and I can see that he smells me, you know? But he’s trying to be polite.”

“So, anyway, people keep asking why we weren’t at George’s wedding and we were both ‘working’ but I think he didn’t want Licey there,” Garner joked. “He’s like, ‘No, we don’t need the Afflecks. We’re OK!’”

  • Cindy Crawford and Husband Dine with George Clooney Before Wedding

Millions of women’s hearts were broken on Saturday as former bachelor George Clooney (53) wed human rights lawyer, Amal Alamuddin (36) in a canal-side ceremony in Venice, Italy.

Among those attending the wedding were supermodel Cindy Crawford and husband Rande Gerber, Clooney’s good friend and best man in the ceremony.

Crawford and Gerber were photographed eating a “healthy breakfast” with Clooney at the outdoor restaurant of the Cipriani Hotel as Alamuddin prepared for the ceremony.

The night before, Clooney and Gerber were spotted at an extravagant rehearsal dinner at the hotel.

“They dined on the second floor,” a source told Us Weekly. “There were candles on a terrace overlooking the Grand Canal. Gondolas were parked up outside the venue, and one of the gondoliers even serenaded them from the water!

“They arrived around 9.30 p.m. and dined amongst other patrons. They didn’t leave until 12:30 a.m., when George’s driver pulled up in a grand taxi boat to pick them up. There was a crowd of well-wishers who cheered loudly when George came out. He flashed a beaming smile and saluted everyone who was there, it was very sweet.”

After the rehearsal dinner, both Clooney and Alamuddin headed out on separate boats (one for the guys, one for the ladies) to celebrate with family and friends before the big day.

At the wedding on Saturday Crawford wore a Grecian blue gown with sparkling silver and golden jewelry.

Other celebrities in attendance at the wedding included Emily Blunt and husband John Krasinski, Matt Damon, Bill Murray, and Bono.

The official nuptials took place at city hall as the couple, Clooney dressed in a charcoal grey suit and Alamuddin in a stylish black and white dress, were married under Italian law by former mayor of Rome Walter Veltroni, a long-time friend of Clooney.

“I guess this is, as Dean Martin put it, ‘That’s Amore,’ the land of love,” said a tourist visiting Venice from Canada.

  • Cindy Crawford and George Clooney Dine Pre-Nuptials

Cindy Crawford and George Clooney dined together the morning of his wedding. They were joined by Cindy’s husband and George’s good friend, Rande Gerber, as they ate at the outdoor restaurant at the Cipriani Hotel in Venice on Saturday morning. Clooney married Amal Alamuddin Saturday evening.

The Daily Mail reports that Rande Gerber was George Clooney’s best man. Some tabloids speculated throughout the summer that Brad Pitt might fill that role. Gerber was seen packing his private jet with tequila from the company he and Clooney co-own, a couple of weeks prior to the big day.

Cindy Crawford, Rande Gerber, and George Clooney were all reportedly in cheerful spirits at the outdoor restaurant as they ate their breakfast and chatted–no doubt about the event that would take place later in the day.

It’s possible, too, that they were chatting about Friday night’s pre-wedding events. Following a large dinner, the men and women separated–taking off in their respective boats for an exciting night in Venice.

Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber looked crisp and cool in white at breakfast, while George Clooney wore a lightweight denim shirt. The groom likely wanted to dress casually, as he knew he would spend an entire evening–and well into the night, too–in a tuxedo.

Just Jared reports that George Clooney ate a ‘healthy breakfast’ with Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber on the morning of his wedding. Do you think his friends joined him for moral support–or to make sure he ate properly on his wedding day? Pre-wedding jitters likely have some grooms dining on a breakfast of coffee. Period.

  • Sandra Bullock, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt: MIA from George Clooney Wedding?

Was Sandra Bullock conspicuously missing from George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin’s wedding in Italy this weekend, along with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie? If so, this no doubt comes as a surprise to those who have followed both Clooney’s personal life and career throughout the years. All summer long a variety of tabloid publications insisted that Brad Pitt would serve as George Clooney’s best man, but that reportedly wasn’t the case either.

The Chicago Tribune mentions Sandra Bullock, Angelina Jolie, and Brad Pitt as having been on the purported guest list. They interviewed a Miami, Florida resident who was visiting Venice, who was hanging out near the site of George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin’s wedding in hopes of getting a peak at some of the rumored guests on the list.

“They talked about Sandra Bullock, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie. It would be cool to see any of them, all of them,” the visitor said.

Sandra Bullock and George Clooney recently starred in the hit film Gravity together. Hollywood rumors pegged them as a great match after her marriage to Jesse James failed, but they insisted they were very close friends and colleagues and not interested in dating one another. Brad Pitt and George Clooney have long been close buddies.

Might it be possible that Sandra Bullock, Brad Pitt, and Angelina Jolie were, in fact, at George Clooney’s wedding? It simply might be that photos from the nuptials have yet to all be shared with the media.

Meanwhile, Sandra Bullock has dyed her hair back to brunette. Just a few days ago she went blonde–perhaps for a film role?

Bullock will reportedly be filming a movie in Puerto Rico with George Clooney in the near future.

Perhaps Sandra Bullock simply wasn’t recognized at George Clooney’s wedding because people were expecting her to sport the blonde locks she debuted late last week. (Do you think she dispelled the notion that blondes have more fun?) Is it possible she really was there–along Brad and Angie, too?

  • George Clooney Hours Away From Saying ‘I Do’ to Amal Alamuddin in Venice

The biggest wedding of the year is in full swing in the romantic city of Venice, Italy.

George Clooney and his bride-to-be, Amal Alamuddin, have arrived in Venice, along with a bevy of other stars on hand to help celebrate their much-anticipated wedding.

On Saturday, the 54-year-old groom was spotted relaxing with friends ahead of his wedding to human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin.

Enjoying a late-morning coffee with Cindy Crawford and her husband, reported best man Rande Gerber, Clooney was even gracious enough to interact with paparazzi, despite his reputation for wanting to keep his private life private.

After someone yelled “Is this really happening, George?” the actor pretended to look at a non-existent watch on his bare wrist and yelled back: “Yeah, right now.”

Singer Bono and his wife are among the celebrities in town for the nuptials, which also include Clooney’s parents and cousin Miguel Ferrer, Matt Damon, Ellen Barkin, John Krasinski, Emily Blunt, Anna Wintour and Richard Kind.

Although Clooney and Alamuddin, 36, have never publicly disclosed the details of their wedding, speculation has been rampant.

Guests are reportedly forbidden to bring cellphones. But don’t worry. The world will get to see pics of the wedding soon as Vogue magazine has apparently been given exclusive rights to cover the wedding.

The luxurious Aman hotel overlooking the Grand Canal is the likely site of the ceremony. All 44 rooms have been exclusively booked for the weekend.

Venice city officials have announced the closure of a 50-meter (yard) length of pedestrian way along the Grand Canal near the 16th-century Cavalli Palace, used for civil marriage ceremonies and right across the street from the Aman hotel, for two hours on Monday. The reason announced was for the Clooney civil ceremony.

It is believed the couple will have two ceremonies — one on Saturday followed by a civil ceremony Monday. They will not be legally wed until after the civil ceremony.

  • George Clooney, Amal Alamuddin: New Wedding Details

George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin are nearing their wedding day, and George’s pal Rande Gerber (husband of Cindy Crawford) has made his contribution to the big day in the form of fifty cases of tequila. It seems Gerber sent a private plane filled with Casamigos Tequila–one of his beverages of choice from the company he and George Clooney founded together.

E! reports that while no one has confirmed the facts, all speculation strongly hints at George Clooney and Amal Alamudding tying the knot in Italy.

Corriere della Sera reported a while back that the wedding celebration will take place over three days. They report that George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin will be married by Walter Vetroni–a close friend of both from Calfornia.

Rumors include a performance by Lana Del Ray and that Andrea Bocelli will serenade the happy couple once they exchange their wedding vows.

MSN reports that Amal Alamuddin’s family–who is said to be a bit old-fashioned with regard to wedding etiquette–is footing most of the bill for her wedding to George Clooney.

Per this mode of etiquette, Amal’s family had their say as to when their daughter would marry the movie star. They wanted the wedding to be held this fall.

“They expect a short engagement,” a source told Us Weekly.

It seems quite likely–in light of the delivery of a plane full of booze–that Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford will no doubt be among those guests that fly to Italy (at least that’s where the wedding is assumed to be taking place) for the nuptials.

Who else do you expect to learn will have attended George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin’s wedding? And do you expect to hear that the nuptials will be held or have taken place in the very near future?

  • Elisabetta Canalis, George Clooney’s Ex, Marries Fiancé Brian Perri in Italy

Elisabetta Canalis, who famously dated George Clooney, married her fiancé, Brian Perri, in Italy on Sunday.

The 36-year-old beauty tied the knot with the orthopaedic surgeon, 46, at the Cathedral of Santa Maria in Alghero, Sardinia, just days (or perhaps weeks) before her famous ex marries Amal Alamuddin.

The couple, who became engaged earlier this year, exchanged vows in front of 150 guests in the resort town.

Before Canalis dated Clooney for 18 months, she was engaged to soccer star Christian Vieri and film director Gabriele Muccino.

Canalis has finally found her man and she looked beautiful for her wedding in a white bridal gown with layers of lace embellishments and a 12-foot-long train.

Before the wedding, the bride-to-be dished on her plans for the big day.

“For our wedding I chose a place where no one has ever got married,” the Italian star told Chi magazine. A historic estate in the Sardinian countryside, a huge vineyard that we are setting up for the occasion. There is no hotel or restaurant, we will do everything ourselves. Seventy guests will come from the United States and I want them to be amazed. The function will be in the church, I love the tradition and I’m getting married in a white dress.”

Following the wedding, Canalis tweeted her thanks to the town where the ceremony was held and the guests that attended.

“Thanks for making this dream possible. Thanks to all the people for the affection you have shown me!,” she wrote in Italian.

Clooney, 53, is also expected to walk down the aisle in Italy very soon and professed his love for Alamuddin, 36, in a touching speech at Celebrity Fight Night in Italy.

“I met my bride-to-be here in Italy, whom I will be marrying in a couple of weeks, in Venice, of all places,” said Clooney. “I guess in closing that I would just like to say to my bride-to-be Amal that I love you very much, and I can’t wait to be your husband.

  • George Clooney Didn’t Get Married Yesterday

George Clooney did not get married yesterday in London.

Chelsea Old Town Hall was host to a crowd of spectators on Friday hoping to catch a glimpse of 53-year-old Clooney and his soon-to-be wife, Amal Alamuddin.

However, despite tabloid reports, George Clooney and his fiance didn’t show.

A note that read, “We are NOT conducting the wedding of Mr. Clooney at this office today,” was attached to the outside of the Town Hall.

The note continued, “We have assisted in the legal preliminaries for a proposed wedding for George Clooney and his fiance. A certificate of no impediment was applied for and has been issued as no objection was raised.”

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WU6qAJOFFw0

It went on to say that, “a film crew and press photographers would only cause plausible disruption to other couples getting married on this day.”

It did cause some disruption, however, as nine other couples were married in the building. They had to make their way out the back door to avoid the unwanted attention.

This probably won’t be the last time the crowd gathers at the news of George Clooney’s marriage. They seem pretty devoted.

“Well, if George Clooney’s come to London to tie the knot, no better place to do it than in Chelsea, so I’m very happy. We’re here to congratulate him,” Francesca Wellman, one of the hopeful crowd, said.

“George will never let us down. He chose Chelsea.”

His absence didn’t deter the hopeful crowd. They say that their time wasn’t wasted, at least.

Suzanne, a local resident, said, “We haven’t really wasted our time … it’s a lovely vibe around here.”

While the exact date of his marriage isn’t known, Clooney has said the couple will to host a large official wedding ceremony in Venice in late September, so London may be out of luck. We shall see!

What do you think? Would you wait outside to catch a glimpse of George Clooney?

  • George Clooney Was Beat to the Altar by Friend Brad Pitt, But He Couldn’t Be Happier

Despite predictions from Angelina Jolie that George Clooney and his fiancé, Amal Alamuddin, would beat them to the aisle, the stunning actress and her new husband, Brad Pitt, were actually the first to say “I do.”

And Clooney couldn’t be happier for his friend and reported best man and his new wife.

The Oscar-winning actor told E! News of the ridiculously good-looking couple’s weekend wedding, “How great is that?! I’m really happy for Brad and Angie and their whole family.”

In a May 2014 interview with Entertainment Weekly, Jolie was asked which couple would marry first, to which the mother of six responded, “Probably George!”

With few details coming from the wedding that transpired in France on Aug. 23, it’s unknown if Clooney and Alamuddin attended the intimate nuptials.

As for Clooney and his bride-to-be, they continue to prepare for their wedding, which some reports say will likely take place at Clooney’s Italian villa at Lake Como, Italy within the month. It’s been several months since the couple first obtained their marriage license in London. However, since they plan to marry in Italy as noted on their marriage license, there are a few additional requirements from that country they need to take care of, like getting documents legalized and translated.

A source told E! News earlier this month it should only take a matter of days to complete the clerical requirements.

Soon it will be Clooney‘s turn to say “I do” at his beloved Lake Como holiday home.

“George has always loved Como, he finds it very peaceful and relaxing and now Amal has fallen in love with the area as well,” a source told E! News about Clooney’s reported choice to marry at his Italian getaway, Villa Oleandra, in Laglio. “They want to start their married life there with the beautiful lake as a backdrop. George’s home on the lake is like a very well oiled machine. He has the local mayor fully on his side and the locals too and he can ensure that press and paparazzi are kept away.”

  • Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Married in Paris

It’s official. According to USA Today, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt tied the knot in France this past weekend. A spokesperson for the couple has confirmed this. The two wed in a small, private ceremony that was attended by a handful of family members and very close friends.

Angelina Jolie was reportedly escorted down the aisle by sons Maddox, who is thirteen, and Pax, who is ten. Daughters Zahara and Vivienne, who are nine and six, respectively, threw rose petals for their famous mom. Daughter Shiloh, eight, and son Knox, six, served as ring bearers.

The Jolie-Pitt family is said to have arrived in France on Friday, and locals assumed they were en route to their Chateau Miraval. There were no hints at all that something even bigger and better was in store.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie got engaged back in 2012, and much speculation has ensued since then as to where and when–if ever–the two would tie the knot.

ABC News reports that a California judge helped obtain the marriage license, and traveled to France to conduct the wedding ceremony.

Brad Pitt–who has long been a close friend of George Clooney’s–will no doubt be ribbing his buddy before too long. Even though Clooney is engaged and soon to wed Amal Alamuddin, Pitt still beat George Clooney to the altar.

It will be interesting to see which publication prints the first photos of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s wedding. Whichever one the couple chooses will no doubt have paid a hefty fee to get them.

  • Julianna Margulies ‘Thrilled’ For George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin’s Upcoming Wedding

Julianna Margulies is super happy for her former ER co-star George Clooney and his fiancé, Amal Alamuddin, on their upcoming nuptials.

The 48-year-old Good Wife star shared her excitement for the couple Sunday at a Variety and Women in Film’s Emmys party.

“I’m thrilled!” Margulies told E! News at Gracias Madre in West Hollywood where the party took place. “She’s a great girl.”

Like all of Clooney’s friends, Margulies refused to elaborate on any details she might be privy to on the upcoming Italian wedding.

The 53-year-old actor and Alamuddin‘s most likely scenario for their wedding is an intimate affair at Clooney’s Lake Como getaway home, Villa Oleandra, in Laglio.

“George has always loved Como, he finds it very peaceful and relaxing and now Amal has fallen in love with the area as well,” a source told E! News last week. “They want to start their married life there with the beautiful lake as a backdrop.”

If E!‘s source is to be believed, it’s unlikely Margulies, who will attend tonight’s Emmys with her ninth nomination, will be an invitee at the wedding.

“This is not going to be a huge Hollywood wedding with Julia Roberts and Sandra Bullock flying in to Italy for a week,” said the source. “George and Amal don’t want a media circus with paparazzi helicopters flying overhead and motorbikes chasing after them as they all arrive at the airport in Milan from Los Angeles. They want the wedding to be intimate with quiet but happy and fun dinners and lunches after they’ve said short but meaningful, hand-written vows in front of their loved ones.”

  • George Clooney, Amal Alamuddin Full Steam Ahead in Preparing for Lake Como Wedding

George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin are full steam ahead in preparing for their much-anticipated wedding.

Reports claim the 53-year-old actor and his fiancé will be married next month at his Lake Como villa in an intimate ceremony.

“George has always loved Como, he finds it very peaceful and relaxing and now Amal has fallen in love with the area as well,” a source told E! News of Clooney’s Italian getaway, Villa Oleandra, in Laglio. “They want to start their married life there with the beautiful lake as a backdrop. George’s home on the lake is like a very well oiled machine. He has the local mayor fully on his side and the locals too and he can ensure that press and paparazzi are kept away.”

“Doing the wedding in another area of Italy would involve too many people that he doesn’t know or trust and George wants to make sure that Amal and both their families enjoy the big day,” the source added. “They want it to be about them celebrating their love and respect for each other with their loved ones watching. And they can do that in Como while keeping everything fully under their control.”

They want the wedding to be intimate with quiet but happy and fun dinners and lunches after they’ve said short but meaningful, hand-written vows in front of their loved ones. They want their guests to enjoy it as much as they do and they know that if the guest list reads like the Oscars invite list with lots of big Hollywood names there it will be intimidating for their families. They can do a party for movie industry friends in Los Angeles at a later date.”

Sounds about right, considering Clooney‘s desire to keep his private life private.

Clooney allegedly told The Studio Exec the wedding will be a cheap affair out of respect for those less fortunate.

“We are very concerned about the message we as celebrities and ambassadors to the world send out, especially in a time of financial crisis and austerity,” said the Gravity star, the magazine reports. “So the plan is a simple civic ceremony, followed by a lunch at Denny’s, the nearest one to save on cab fare and then back to a friend’s place for drinks and everyone brings a bottle…”

  • George Clooney: Lake Como Wedding Plans

Sources say George Clooney will marry Amal Alamuddin at his Lake Como home–Villa Oleandra–in Laglio, Italy next month. Those same sources claim that wedding preparations are in full swing. Do note that George Clooney himself hasn’t confirmed any of the following plans.

“George has always loved Como, he finds it very peaceful and relaxing and now Amal has fallen in love with the area as well,” a source says. “They want to start their married life there with the beautiful lake as a backdrop. George’s home on the lake is like a very well oiled machine. He has the local mayor fully on his side and the locals too and he can ensure that press and paparazzi are kept away.”

“Doing the wedding in another area of Italy would involve too many people that he doesn’t know or trust and George wants to make sure that Amal and both their families enjoy the big day,” the source adds. “They want it to be about them celebrating their love and respect for each other with their loved ones watching. And they can do that in Como while keeping everything fully under their control.”

Yet another source claims George Clooney’s wedding to Amal Alamuddin will be very ‘small and intimate.’ How can that possibly be, unless ‘small and intimate’ to George Clooney means 200 or so of his closest friends? He doesn’t seem like the type to leave out those closest to him, and there seem to be quite a few friends who are just that.

“This is not going to be a huge Hollywood wedding with Julia Roberts and Sandra Bullock flying in to Italy for a week,” the source went on to explain. “George and Amal don’t want a media circus with paparazzi helicopters flying overhead and motorbikes chasing after them as they all arrive at the airport in Milan from Los Angeles.

Does this sound like George Clooney to you? He is a man’s man and loves to have his good buddies close at hand. Do you think he would get married without inviting good pal Sandra Bullock?

It will certainly be interesting to learn how close to the real deal these sources are–and if the information they are reporting turns out to be true.

Meanwhile Amal Alamuddin is busy having the finishing touches put on her wedding dress. She will no doubt be a beautiful bride–and a lucky one, too. After all, she is marrying George Clooney.

What’s your best take on how many people will attend George Clooney’s wedding? Will it be small and private or an all out bash?

  • George Clooney Moves Forward With Marriage Process, License Obtained

Fans of George Clooney still hoping against hope that the actor’s engagement to Amal Alamuddin would someday end are surely devastated to find out that the couple has obtained their marriage license. The 53-year-old Oscar winner and his barrister fiancée, 36, secured the license in London, which is where Alamuddin is based.

As with regular citizens planning to tie the knot, Clooney and Alamuddin visited the Chelsea Register Office two weeks ago to formally announce their wedding by posting their wedding banns, which must be displayed in public for 16 days before they can marry. Their banns number among those posted by ordinary city folk and contain details such as the full name of Clooney (George Timothy Clooney) and the couple’s professions, listing his as “actor and director” and hers as “barrister”. The document also reveals when and where they will be holding their wedding. Members of the entertainment media hoping to cover the event should mark their calendars for September 20 and note that the couple plans to hold the ceremony in Italy.

Although information about Alamuddin’s dress for the ceremony has not been leaked, rumors are circulating that she is considering designer Oscar de la Renta to make it. Meanwhile, Clooney’s choice seems to have been made as a team of designers from Giorgio Armani were recently flown to the actor’s home on LakeComo in Italy to fit him and his groomsmen for suits for the wedding. Clooney recently requested the mayor of LakeComo establish some laws that would safeguard his privacy leading up to the event, setting limits on how close people could swim up to or stand outside his property.

Clooney and Alamuddin first met at a charity auction in September 2013 and became engaged in April this year. He said to Variety of his fiancée, “I’m marrying up.”
