  • Scott Disick: No Booze Until Kourtney Kardashian Gives Birth?

Scott Disick has apparently sworn off booze until after baby mama Kourtney Kardashian gives birth to the couple’s third child in December. Boy, does that give Kourtney something to look forward to. Not only will she be a mom of three with a new baby at home, but her hubby will be out drinking while she mans the fort–yet again. This sounds like history repeating itself–don’t you think?

“He stopped drinking cold turkey — and promised he won’t drink again until after Kourtney gives birth,” a source said. “Scott knew he had hit rock bottom.”

Scott Disick’s ‘rock bottom’ was a hospitalization in June for alcohol poisoning.

“[Kourtney] told him that was the last straw,” the source added.

The first video clip above, however, strongly indicates that Scott isn’t living up to his most recent promise. Has Kourtney Kardashian’s straw now broken in two?

Scott Disick apparently used the excuse of his parents’ deaths for drinking himself into oblivion. And of course losing ones’ parents in the span of a year would traumatize anyone. Turning to booze isn’t the way to deal with it, though–especially when one has a wife and two (almost three) children.

Perhaps a better way for the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star to deal with his drinking problem is to first admit he has one and then take to the proper steps toward recovery. No one says that’s an easy process, but it’s the only one that will save him and save his relationship with his wife and children. For years people have wondered why Kourtney Kardashian continues to take him back after days of drinking and cheating. It’s likely the day will come that she simply won’t.

Do you see rehab or alcohol counseling in Scott Disick’s future or do you see a cycle of continuing abuse–both of himself and his marriage–with his drinking?

If Scott Disick promised he wouldn’t drink until Kourtney Kardashian has her baby, it seems he’s broken that promise already. That’s a telltale sign of an alcoholic. Maybe Kourtney should refuse to let him back or even near their kids until he proves himself–with several month’s worth of sobriety.

  • Dennis Rodman Checks Into Rehab Facility

Dennis Rodman Checks Into Rehab Facility

If people wondered what was going on with ex-NBA Hall of Famer, Dennis Rodman, with his crazy outbreaks and unusual actions, the results are in, Rodman has a drinking problem. Obviously it is bad enough that he is seeking help for his addiction at an undisclosed alcohol rehabilitation center.

Darren Prince, Rodman’s agent, refused information on the facility where Rodman is recovering, or how long he will be staying.

But this news could explain the recent angry meltdown he had in an interview with Chris Cuomo on CNN’s “New Day”, which he defended his decision to travel to North Korea, and when asked the direct question about Kenneth Bae, a U.S. citizen who was sentenced to 15 years in a labor camp by North Korea, he basically came unglued.

Rodman suggested that Bae had done something wrong, but did not specify what.

“Do you understand what he did in this country?” Rodman asked Cuomo. “No, no, no, you tell me, you tell me. Why is he held captive here in this country, why?”

He did apologize for comments he made in Pyongyang about Kenneth Bae, saying he had been drinking and was under pressure as he organized an exhibition game there.

“What was potentially a historic and monumental event turned into a nightmare for everyone concerned,” Prince said. “Dennis Rodman came back from North Korea in pretty rough shape emotionally. The pressure that was put on him to be a combination ‘super human’ political figure and ‘fixer’ got the better of him.”

“He is embarrassed, saddened and remorseful for the anger and hurt his words have caused.”

Rodman, known as much for his piercings, tattoos and bad behavior as he was for basketball, was the highest-profile American to meet Kim since he inherited power from father Kim Jong Il in 2011.

When asked about his special relationship with Kim, and whether he might check into the 200,000 or more labor camp prisoners, namely Bae, his reply, “That’s not my job,” he said. “The only thing I am doing right now, I am only doing one thing: this game is for his birthday. It’s for his birthday.”

“And I hope that if this opens doors and we can actually talk about certain things, then we can do certain things, but I am not going to sit there and go in and say ‘hey guy, you’re doing the wrong thing’.”

“That’s not the right thing to do. He’s my friend first. He’s my friend. I don’t give a ****. I tell the world: he’s my ******* friend, I love him.”

And because of this “friendship“, Rodman has been strongly criticized for not trying to use his influence with Kim to secure the release of Bae and others who are being held there, perhaps illegally.

But he organized a group of retired NBA players to travel to North Korea for an exhibition game for Kim’s birthday. Rodman dedicated the contest to his “best friend” Kim, who along with his wife and other senior officials and their wives watched from a special seating area. The capacity crowd of about 14,000 at the Pyongyang Indoor Stadium clapped loudly as Rodman sang a verse from the “birthday” song.

  • Trace Adkins Being Treated For Alcohol Abuse

They say “once an alcoholic, always an alcoholic.”  After 10 years of sobriety, country music hitmaker Trace Adkins has checked himself into a rehabilitation center after falling off the wagon. His spokesman made the announcement on Thursday.

The 52-year-old country singer was headlining a seven-day “Country Cruising” concert event aboard a Norwegian Cruise Line. The concert features 25 top country artists for 100 performances and is taking place aboard the ship’s main theater as it tours the Caribbean.

The ship left the Port of Miami on Sunday and is scheduled to make stops in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, Cozumel, Mexico, and Grand Cayman.

Well, Adkins seemed to have had a few too many and reportedly got into a brawl on the cruise ship. It is unclear how the brawl got started but he ended up duking it out with a Trace Adkins impersonator aboard the ship. Adkins’ spokesman says he has since exited the cruise.

“Trace has entered a treatment facility after a setback in his battle with alcoholism,” his spokesman told CNN in a statement.

On his Twitter he wrote: “Up here in my suite, overlooking the pools. Behave yourselves.”

The country celebrity has reportedly been battling alcoholism for about 20 years and received inpatient treatment as far back a 2001. He has been very candid about his past struggles with the disease and how it has affected his life and those around him.

In a 2011 interview, he was quoted saying “If you’ve ever been through one of those things, it’s the most humiliating experience you’ll ever have. To hear people you respect and love sit there and tell you the kind of pain you’ve been causing them…and yeah, I’m an alcoholic.”

For now it seem the multi-platinum selling country star is getting the help he needs and will hopefully be back to work soon.

  • Demi Lovtao Opens Up About Past Drug Use

Demi Lovtao Opens Up About Past Drug Use

Demi Lovato is a prime example of one of the many Disney stars gone bad. However, what makes Lovato different than the others, is that she knew when she needed to clean her act up. During a recent interview with Access Hollywood, Lovato opened up about her past drug use, even admitting that she used to smuggle cocaine onto planes.

Lovato, who recently finished writing her memoir titled, Staying Strong: 365 Days a Year, discussed her dark past, and what it took for her to finally realize that she had a serious problem.

“Something I’ve never talked about before, but with my drug use I could hide it to where I would sneak drugs. I couldn’t go without 30 minutes to an hour without cocaine and I would bring it on airplanes,” she said. “I would smuggle it basically and just wait until everyone in first class would go to sleep and I would do it right there. I’d sneak to the bathroom and I’d do it. That’s how difficult it got and that was even with somebody with me, I had a sober companion, somebody who was watching me 24/7 and living with me and I was able to hide it from them as well.”

It was when she was drinking Vodka out of a Sprite bottle, at 9:00 in the morning, that she realized that she needed help. “I was going to the airport and I had a Sprite bottle just filled with vodka and it was just nine in the morning and I was throwing up in the car and this was just to get on a plane to go back to LA to the sober living house that I was staying at…I had all the help in the world, but I didn’t want it,” she said. “When I hit that moment I was like, it’s no longer fun when you’re doing it alone. I’ve really never talked about this stuff before… I don’t know if I should be sharing this. I think at 19 years old, I had a moment where I was like, ‘Oh my God… that is alcoholic behavior. [It’s] no longer, I’m young and rebellious and out having fun, it was, wow, I’m one of those people…I gotta get my s*** together,’” she explained.

She also revealed that she was so good at manipulating the people around her that no one realized what was really going on in her life. “I’m very, very good at manipulating people and that was something that I did in my disease, I would manipulate everyone around me. There were times I would just continue to lie, so that everything looked OK on the outside.”

Although she did her best at hiding her drug and alcohol use, there are just some things that you can’t hide from your mother. “I suspected she was using drugs. It’s like any other parent, when you see things, when you see signs you don’t want to believe that’s what actually going on. So when they’re telling you that’s not what is going on… you want too badly to believe them and I think for a long time I was in denial,” Lovato’s mother Dianna said. “I didn’t know. I didn’t actually see her, so when she said, ‘Oh no, There’s nothing going on. I’m not using, I’m not drinking, I wasn’t doing any of these things,’ Why was I not to believe her?” Dianna continued.

Luckily, Lovato was able to seek the help she needed, and after completing a stint in a rehab facility in 2010, she has finally got her life back on track. Her book, which was released on November 19, documents her struggles and she says she hopes that it can “help other people in the industry that are headed down the wrong path.”
