  • Adrianne Palicki, Nick Blood To Head Up “S.H.I.E.L.D.” Spin-Off

Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood are in final talks to head up a spin-off of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Adrianne Palicki began her run on the show as a guest star, but she was quickly moved to a regular character on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Adrianne Palicki plays Barbara “Bobbi” Morse, also known as Mockingbird, who entered the storyline early in this season. She worked undercover in HYDRA laboratories and used to be married to Nick Blood’s character, Lance Hunter.

Morse, played by Adrianne Palicki, agreed to work with Agent Coulson, but is secretly in league with Agent Gonzalez, played by Edward James Olmos. Gonzalez runs what he and his cohorts call “the real SHIELD.”

Lance Hunter is a mercenary sharpshooter. They have both been known to work in the more shadowy corners of the spy world.

Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood quickly became fan favorites after they lit up the show with their complicated, formerly married, relationship.

The spin-off, featuring Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood, was developed by Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. executive producer Jeffrey Bell and co-executive producer Paul Zbyszewski, who are writing the script and will executive produce together.

Perhaps the spin-off will be set up by events from this season of S.H.I.E.L.D. and maybe it will involve the secret plan by Bobbi and Mack that has been continually teased for a long time.

    This so exciting!

In the first episode, titled “Aftershocks”, Agent Skye’s father Cal (Kyle MacLachlan) will be seeking retribution against Director Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) for carrying out revenge against Whitehall, when it was clearly Cal’s place.

Adrianne Palicki as Bobbi and Alphonso “Mack” Mackenzie (Henry Simmons) will begin the next phase of their plan which could cause some serious repercussions for Agent Coulson and his team.

The show seems to be moving in the direction of further expanding the role of “Inhuman” characters, as well as “Gifted” human roles.

  • Adrianne Palicki Joins “From Dusk Till Dawn” Series

Robert Rodriquez’s highly-anticipated supernatural crime saga, “From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series,” has picked up a few new cast members.

According to UPI, Adrianne Palicki, along with Jake Busey (“Starship Troopers”) and Lane Garrison (“Bonnie & Clyde”), will join the 10-episode production which will premiere on El Ray, a new 24-hour English-language network.

Adrianne Palicki, an Ohio native, has appeared in such movies as “Friday Night Lights” and “G.I. Joe: Retaliation.” In 2011, Palicki was picked to play Wonder Woman in a series that NBC eventually passed on. However, she remains positive by saying, “I got to play Wonder Woman which was, by the way, maybe one of the coolest things ever.”

Palicki, when asked if she regrets that the show didn’t to go series, said, “I wouldn’t say regret. I was devastated when it didn’t go and it was expected to. It was one of those things that was shocking. But in retrospect it was probably a blessing. It would’ve been a really hard thing to shoot. And I got to wear the costume — I should say, I got paid to wear the costume! So not many people get to say that.”

She then added, “I’m really blessed to have gotten to do that and maybe someday down the line I’ll get to play that character or another awesome icon again,” noting that she has her eye on “Supergirl.”

In “Dusk Till Dawn,” Palicki will portray Vanessa Styles, a woman from Seth Gecko’s past.

Based on Rodriquez’s 1996 film, “From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series” centers around Gecko, bank robber, and his violent brother, Richard “Richie” Gecko, and adds new characters and backstories around the Mesoamerican myths and creatures.

In the original film, George Clooney played the part of Seth Gecko while Quentin Tarantino portrayed his brother, Richard.

Other cast members in the Texas-set TV series include Wilmer Valderrama, D.J. Cotrona, Zane Holtz, Jesse Garcia, Robert Patrick, Madison Davenport, Brandon Soo Hoo, Eiza Gonzalez, and Don Johnson.

Robert Rodriguez will direct the first two installments of the series which will premiere in 2014.
