  • Adele Tickets Cause Major Disappointment for “Hello” Singer’s Fans

Adele tickets–or the lack thereof–have left many of the “Hello” singer’s fans beyond disappointed.

According to a report from Billboard magazine, Adele tickets went on sale Thursday for her American tour, but they were pretty much snapped up in an instant.

Fans are disgusted that many of the Adele tickets were purchased by scalpers who plan to resell them.

Ticketmaster reports that their website didn’t crash, as some who tried to procure Adele tickets believed. They did admit that due to the incredibly high volume of traffic, the website was significantly slowed down.

On Thursday approximately 1,000 Adele tickets were available on StubHub. They ranged in price from a high of $10,000 to a low of $245.

Adele and her ticket sales team did their best to avoid scalpers getting their hands on tickets. When her European tour tickets went on sale, fans had to first register on her website. 500,00 complied. 57,000 Adele tickets were purchased in this manner.

Were you among those who tried to score Adele tickets for her upcoming American tour? Did you get tickets? Will you try to buy them from scalpers or on a site like StubHub?

  • Jordan Smith: “The Voice” Contestant Trumps Adele on iTunes, Advances to “Voice” Finale

Jordan Smith, one of Adam Levine’s contestants on The Voice, beat out Adele on iTunes with his rendition of Queen’s “Somebody to Love,” as performed on Monday night’s show.

Prior to Smith’s trending performance, Adele held the top spot with her new hit song “Hello.”

“I don’t need to say anything at all because that’s one of the best things I’ve ever seen in my entire life,” Adam Levine said following Smith’s performance. He was also fist pumping as Jordan Smith belted out the tune, accompanied by a large gospel choir.

It was just 30 minutes after Jordan Smith’s performance that his version of the Queen hit dethroned Adele, who had been in the number one spot for five weeks.

The excitement continues for Jordan Smith. On Tuesday’s episode of The Voice, he learned he has been voted on to the finale as one of four remaining contestants.

Jordan Smith is from Harlan, Kentucky. He is a 21-year-old Lee University student who loves performing in his school’s choir.

Smith has nothing but wonderful things to say about his coach, Adam Levine.

“He is super involved as a coach,” he told People magazine recently. “That’s not an act. He was just talking to us about our next song choices and takes the time to listen through songs and find the right fit for us.”

Jordan Smith says he’d love to win, but that he’d be thrilled for any of his fellow contestants should they take the top spot instead.

“We have grown close,” he said. “I’d be thrilled to win myself, but just as thrilled for one of these ladies or anyone on any of the other teams to win. I think this is a great opportunity and everyone here is deserving of it.”

Did you catch Jordan Smith’s performance on The Voice Monday night? If so, you’re likely not surprised at all to learn he is one of the final four contestants.

Do you think Jordan Smith will win this season of The Voice?

  • Sarah Palin: Why Singer Adele Credits Her With Launching Her U.S. Superstardom

Sarah Palin is a big fan of singer Adele, and vice versa. Adele actually credits Palin for her superstardom here in the U.S.

The former Alaska governor recently signed a copy of her latest book for the “Rolling in the Deep” singer.

Using several song title puns, Sarah Palin got creative with the inscription.

“Adele, You look so great! So beautiful! So … Rumor Has It you recently threw me some credit for your amazing success – very kind coming from Someone Like You! Congrats on motherhood. Keep Setting Fire to the Rain. Love, your fan…Sarah Palin.”

So back to that superstardom. Why does Adele credit Sarah Palin with her success? Does Sarah Palin give voice lessons on the side?

It’s actually nothing like that, and has everything to do with coincidence instead.

Adele recently explained the situation during an interview with BBC One.

“The week I was doing Saturday Night Live, it was meant to be a normal week but the week after, Sarah Palin was supposed to do it,” Adele said of her 2008 SNL appearance.

“Because something came up in the campaign, she came and did the week I was doing it with Josh Brolin. So it was one of the most watched SNLs ever, and then it was two weeks before the Grammy ballot, which is when people decide what songs they want to maybe nominate, so, like, literally the stars aligned for me,” she continued.

Following that SNL appearance, Adele’s album “19” immediately shot all the way up to number one on iTunes. Shortly thereafter she was nominated for four Grammys–two of which she won.

“All thanks to Sarah Palin,” Adele said.

    Who knew?

Did you have any idea Adele credited Sarah Palin with at least part of her success in the U.S.?

Adele just happens to be tonight’s musical guest on Saturday Night Live. Will you be tuning in to hear her perform her latest hit, “Hello?”
