  • Selena Gomez Rates Her Hotness As Red Carpet Photo Earns Backlash

Selena Gomez is a young, beautiful star, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t suffer from the same self-doubts as the rest of us.

The actress told a local Boston radio show recently that if she had to rate her hotness, she’d only give herself about a six on a normal day.

“I would say, like, on a premiere day, I would be a good nine. And then, on my every day, I feel like a six. Gosh, that sounds so bad. I feel like a six or a seven,” Selena said.

Gomez also talked a bit about her love of Amy Schumer, saying she’d love to work with the comedian on her Comedy Central show. However, Schumer might have something to say about the double standard Selena faced recently on the red carpet for the premiere of Hotel Transylvania 2, which also stars Adam Sandler and Kevin James. In a photo that’s making waves online, Selena is dressed up in a sexy red gown and heels, while the guys are wearing t-shirts and comfy pants–something that would never be allowed for an actress without major media backlash.

“We were in Cancun on a beach and I thought that would be appropriate. Selena looks beautiful no matter what she does. We’re never great dressers,” said Kevin James in his defense.

Selena Gomez hasn’t addressed the backlash against the photo, but social media has been very unhappy about it, labeling it “sexist”.

  • Adam Sandler Film “Hotel Transylvania” Coming To Television

Adam Sandler may be overpaid for most of his projects these days, but when it comes to younger audiences he knows what he’s doing. The monster flick Hotel Transylvania was successful enough to spawn a sequel (due out later this year) and now, it’s coming to television.

Sony Pictures will be working with famous cartoon company Nelvana to create the series, which fans will have to wait until 2017 to see. The show will reportedly focus on Dracula’s (Adam Sandler) daughter, Mavis, and her friends.

“Audiences have embraced the world and characters of Hotel Transylvania, so we are thrilled to be partnering with Nelvana to take them on new adventures, expanding on the teenage years of Mavis and her friends at the world-famous monster five-star resort!” said Kristine Belson, president of Sony Pictures Animation.

Sandler recently faced some backlash when actress Rose McGowan tweeted about a script she’d just read for one of his movies that featured very detailed instructions on what females should wear to the auditions.

McGown was subsequently fired by her agent for speaking out against Sandler, but later tweeted that there were more important things at stake.

“The awesome thing about being an artist? You can’t be fired from your own mind,” she wrote.

Sandler didn’t publicly respond, but has been in headlines again this week for inviting a Florida teen with non-Hodgkins lymphoma to the set of his film “The Do-Over”. Gaige Robbins made a video with the help of his family asking Sandler to help make his wish come true and Sandler obliged, bringing Robbins to the set and introducing him to all the stars. His father told the media that it was “the best day” of his son’s life.

  • Adam Sandler Petition Over Native America Racism Gains Steam

Adam Sandler is known for skewering time-honored traditions. He took on golf in Happy Gilmore, famously lampooning the sport in a way that hadn’t been done since the Caddyshack movies.

But maybe Adam Sandler has gone too far this time. Recently a group of Native American actors walked off the set for Adam Sandler’s film The Ridiculous Six. The film is a spoof of The Magnificent Seven, and is one of a four-movie deal with Netflix for films by Adam Sandler. Nick Nolte, Dan Aykroyd, and Adam Sandler himself star in the film.

The people who walked off the set were heard in a video complaining about stereotypes of Native Americans in the film. These include American Indian actors being bronzed to look darker and white actors playing Apache Indians.

In the video, a producer is overheard telling these actors that if they are “overly sensitive about it, then you should probably leave.”

Netflix stands behind the filmmakers. They say the film is not supposed to seriously address any racial issues. It is a comedy, a spoof.

“The movie has ridiculous in the title for a reason: because it is ridiculous. It is a broad satire of Western movies and the stereotypes they popularized, featuring a diverse cast that is not only part of — but in on — the joke.”

But now a petition has been started online demanding that Adam Sandler be removed from the film. The petition lists the grievances.

Sandler’s so-called “jokes” include naming Indian women “Beaver Breath,” “Never Wears Bra,” and “Sits-on-Face,” rhyming “tee-pee” with “pee-pee”, and having white men toss an alcoholic beverage at an Indian woman passed out on the ground, even while alcoholism, sexual assault, and violence against women continue to ravage real reservations.

The writer of the petition materials speaks of his motive in all this:

I want to speak up for our Indigenous youth who are deeply impacted by these negative stereotypes that are too often perpetuated in film and media. It is my goal to bring about change in the film industry and make room for Native American talent to tell our own stories – stories about a people who actually still exist today in the 21st century.

The goal of the petition was to get 88,000 signatures. As of this writing, they have 87,886.

  • Adam Sandler Movies Are Ridiculous, Confirms Netflix

Adam Sandler Movies Are Ridiculous, Confirms Netflix

According to Netflix, nobody should be surprised when an Adam Sandler movies turns out to be a bit ridiculous.

According to reports, nearly a dozen Native American actors walked off the set of Sandler’s new movie, The Ridiculous Six, in protest of some less-than-sensitive cultural jokes and stereotypes present in the script. According to the Indian Country Today Media Network, “the examples of disrespect included Native women’s names such as Beaver’s Breath and No Bra, an actress portraying an Apache woman squatting and urinating while smoking a peace pipe, and feathers inappropriately positioned on a teepee.”

The Ridiculous Six, a supposed parody of The Magnificent Seven, is the first of four original films Adam Sandler will make for Netflix. The two parties struck a deal back in October of 2014.

In an statement, Netflix basically said that the whole point of the movie is to be ridiculous – I mean, it says so in the title.

“The movie has ridiculous in the title for a reason: because it is ridiculous,” said a spokesperson in a statement. “It is a broad satire of Western movies and the stereotypes they popularized, featuring a diverse cast that is not only part of – but in on – the joke.”

The film boasts an impressive cast – Blake Shelton, Whitney Cummings, Steve Buscemi, Rob Schneider, Dan Aykroyd, Will Forte, Nick Swardson, Terry Crews, Jon Lovitz, Taylor Lautner, Nick Nolte, Luke Wilson, Steve Zahn, Danny Trejo, Chris Parnell, Lavell Crawford, and Vanilla Ice.

Filming was unimpeded by the walk-off, according to reports.

“When these fine people came to me with an offer to make four movies for them, I immediately said yes for one reason and one reason only…. Netflix rhymes with Wet Chicks,”” said Sandler when the four-picture deal was announced.

  • Bella Thorne Covers ‘Teen Vogue,’ Talks Teen Years

Bella Thorne may be a teen star, but she’s still a teenager. She hasn’t grown out of the angst that others her age experience, even though she walks red carpets and stars on the big screen alongside stars like Adam Sandler. It was on the Disney Channel’s Shake It Up that Bella Thorne got her start, alongside her BFF Zendaya.

Fans can see Bella Thorne on the cover of April’s issue of Teen Vogue, and within its pages she talks about how she’s not all that different from other teen girls. At 17, she is definitely growing up, but admits she still has a lot to learn.

She laughed during her interview about something most teen girls face at some point in their lives.

“I’ve always been flat-chested. It is only this year, at 17, that I started to develop boobs. I mean, finally!” she said.

At one point she was so flat-chested that someone in wardrobe got her to stuff her bra.

“I was working on a film, and they wanted me to look older. The wardrobe person was like, ‘Put padding in your bra.’ I’m walking on set. The director picked something off the ground and–in front of everyone–he goes, ‘I think this fell out.’ I was mortified. It was literally a pad from my bra.”

Bella Thorne also dished about the excitement of meeting Mark Wahlberg.

“I was at a movie premiere, and Mark Wahlberg came up to me. He was like, ‘I’m so sorry to bug you. I feel so bad.’ I was like, ‘Oh, my God! Mark Wahlberg! Of course I will take a photo with your daughter.’ I mean, why wouldn’t I? And let me tell you–he’s beautiful no matter what he does.”

Probably the most important thing Bella Thorne said during her interview is something all teens can learn something from. It doesn’t matter how famous one is if they remain true to themselves.

“I’m not afraid to be myself. I know that people are looking up to me, but I’m a teenager and I’m still going to make mistakes,” the actress said.

Bella Thorne is clearly a very impressive teenager. She no doubt has a limitless future ahead of her. More important than that, however, is her clear view on how and what life should be. And that will carry her much, much farther than any Hollywood career.

  • Bob Barker And Adam Sandler Continue “Happy Gilmore” Battle For Charity

Bob Barker and Adam Sandler are at it again.

To the delight of everyone on the planet, Bob Barker and Adam Sandler got together to continue the incredibly funny fight that started in Happy Gilmore.

But this time, they’re not just doing it for laughs, they’re doing it for charity.

Bob Barker and Adam Sandler filmed the continuation of their epic battle for Comedy Central’s Night of Too Many Stars.

The TV special’s purpose is to raise money and awareness for autism.

    Take a look:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b54pmFhzfDg

In the beginning, it looks like Adam Sandler and Bob Barker are in the midst of calling a truce. However, that feeling doesn’t last very long.

After insulting Adam Sandler’s weight and age, Bob Barker springs from the bed when insults escalate to blows.

Then, Bob Barker dumps his bedpan all over Adam Sandler, prompting Sandler to cry, “How much f**king asparagus did you eat?!”

    So hilarious!

Then, obviously and dramatically labeled vials of Ebola enter the mix. Bob Barker dumps a vial in his mouth and spits it all over Sandler.

Bob Barker quips, “I wish I could see David Spade’s face when he finds out there won’t be a Grown Ups 3.”

  • Ridiculous 6, Adam Sandler’s First Netflix Movie, Has a Pretty Impressive Cast Lined Up

Ridiculous 6, Adam Sandler’s First Netflix Movie, Has a Pretty Impressive Cast Lined Up

Adam Sandler, who’s going to spend the next few years producing original films for Netflix, has assembled a huge cast for his first attempt – a “comedic spin on ensemble westerns like The Magnificent Seven” called Ridiculous 6.

According to the Wrap, here’s the list of stars set to appear in the film:

Blake Shelton, Whitney Cummings, Steve Buscemi, Rob Schneider, Dan Aykroyd, Will Forte, Nick Swardson, Terry Crews, Jon Lovitz, Taylor Lautner, Nick Nolte, Luke Wilson, Steve Zahn, Danny Trejo, Chris Parnell, Lavell Crawford, and Vanilla Ice.

Here’s more from the Wrap on the specific roles:

Insiders describe the roles as follows: Sandler will play man who grew up as an orphan among an Indian tribe. Lautner, Schneider, Wilson and Crews are poised to play his half-brothers, while the final half-brother has yet to be cast. Nolte will play Sandler’s long-lost father; Parnell a bank manager; Lovitz a wealthy industrialist and Cummings his flirtatious wife. Forte and Trejo will play the leaders of rival gangs, while Buscemi will play a local jack-of-all-trades. In a fun bit of casting, Shelton (who just hosted “Saturday Night Live”) is in line to play Wyatt Earp, while Vanilla Ice has been tipped to play Mark Twain.

Production is set to begin next month.

Sandler and Netflix announced their big agreement last October, will Sandler signed on to produce and star in four original films that will premiere exclusively on Netflix.

“People love Adam’’s films on Netflix and often watch them again and again. His appeal spans across viewers of all ages — everybody has a favorite movie, everyone has a favorite line — not just in the US but all over the world,” said Netflix content chief Ted Sarandos at the time the deal was announced.

And when he says people love Adam Sandler movies and watch them again and again, he’s not just blowing smoke. He knows they do, and that’s one of the main reasons Netflix would even consider this type of deal. It’s Big Data, and it’s what Netflix has, is, and will continue to operate based on.

Last week, Netflix announced a similar, four-film agreement with Mark and Jay Duplass.

  • Adam Sandler Movies Are Terrible, And Even Sony Pictures Knows It

When it comes to Adam Sandler movies, we are a long ways away from a time and place where anyone rushed to the theater to see his latest movie.

In fact, it’s hard to argue that anyone who turns up to an Adam Sandler movie now isn’t doing it (1) for nostalgia reasons and (2) the sincere hope that THIS TIME he’ll be “back”.

Because everyone else has moved on from believing that Sandler will ever again put out a movie worthwhile.

    That includes Sony Pictures.

As it turns out, Sony’s recent hacking scandal has gifted us far more than leaked movies. Some of the documents show that members of the studio are perfectly aware that Adam Sandler’s movies are terrible—and have been for some time.

One unnamed employee complained, “Although we manage to produce an innovative film once in awhile, [w]e continue to be saddled with the mundane, formulaic Adam Sandler films.”

Another said that it was or should be a goal for Sony Pictures to “stop or reduce support for areas that have no more value (Sandler movies, DVD).”

    Yikes.

Even though this latest leak is slightly embarrassing for Sony, it is a very useful bit of information for the average moviegoer.

You see? Movie studies DO put out crap movies featuring actors long past their prime. They know it, but must pretend that they don’t in the hopes that you trust them enough to give them your hard-earned money.

But now that we know that the Emperor has no clothes, will moviegoers make use of this information.

That is to say, if Sony Pictures went out of their way to avoid spending any money on Adam Sandler and his terrible movies, does that mean you should elect to do the same?

Sounds like a pretty good idea at this point, as Adam Sandler will probably never go back to even being his brand of funny.

It also raises the question of just how many terrible, stale, and generic movies do studios opt to knowingly release each year.

  • Adam Sandler/Netflix Deal Shows Reliance on Big Data

Adam Sandler/Netflix Deal Shows Reliance on Big Data

Netflix is just getting started with this whole original movies thing.

Sure, the once-DVD delivery company and future king of streaming has produced successful TV series like House of Cards and Orange Is The New Black. It’s also produced award-winning documentaries. But I’m sure Netflix would be the first to admit – fictional movies are an entirely different beast.

Earlier this week, Netflix announced its first-ever original feature film – a sequel to Ang Lee’s 2000 film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. It’ll be called Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: The Green Legend and will land on Netflix and (some) IMAX screens in August of next year. On the heels of that announcement, Netflix made a somewhat more surprising and no doubt polarizing decision. For its second foray into filmmaking, with all eyes fixated on its every move, Netflix struck a huge, multi-year deal with…

    Adam Sandler?

Cue this sort of response, which has been pretty common in the hours since the announcement:

Netflix had to have known that this would elicit this type of feedback – at least from a decent swath. The past, well, decade or so of Adam Sandler productions have been less than inspiring. Despite what you think of Jack & Jill, however, do note that Adam Sandler movies continue to perform at the box office – at least on the whole. Adam Sandler is a nearly $4 billion box office commodity.

But that’s only a small, and I’ll say much less significant factor in Netflix’s decision to sign up for four (count ’em, four) original Happy Madison productions.

The reason Netflix inked this deal, for an Adam Sandler movie a year for four years, is because it knows you’re going to watch them. It knows you’re going to watch them because Netflix has been compiling data on your viewing habits since day one. It’s how it knew you’d lose your shit over House of Cards. It’s how it knew you would tell all of your friends that they just had to watch Orange Is The New Black.

And it’s how it knows you’ll watch Adam Sandler.

“They’re so repeatable,” Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos says of Adam Sandler movies. “What we’ve seen is the more international we have become, the data has reinforced the incredible global strength of Adam.”

Sarandos says that Adam Sandler is one of the most-viewed actors on Netflix. Globally.

What do you bet Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is super popular on Netflix?

“We know what people watch on Netflix and we’re able with a high degree of confidence to understand how big a likely audience is for a given show based on people’s viewing habits,” Netflix communications director Jonathan Friedland told Wired nearly two years ago. “We want to continue to have something for everybody. But as time goes on, we get better at selecting what that something for everybody is that gets high engagement.”

Netflix knows you. And it wouldn’t make a deal like this without some a ton of evidence suggesting that people will watch. In droves.

“When these fine people came to me with an offer to make four movies for them, I immediately said yes for one reason and one reason only…. Netflix rhymes with Wet Chicks,”” said Adam Sandler in the press release. “”Let the streaming begin!!!!””

Netflix rhymes with Wet Chicks! Go ahead and say whatever dumb shit you want, Adam Sandler. It doesn’t matter. This is bigger than you. It’s data.

  • Netflix Signs Adam Sandler To Four-Picture Deal (Go On With The Chlorophyll)

Netflix Signs Adam Sandler To Four-Picture Deal (Go On With The Chlorophyll)

Netflix announced that it has signed a deal with Adam Sandler, which will see him produce and star in four exclusive feature films for the company.

Netflix is getting down to business in the movie industry now. Earlier this week, the company announced a deal with The Weinstein Company for its first original feature film, a sequel to Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

Netflix content chief Ted Sarandos said, “People love Adam’’s films on Netflix and often watch them again and again. His appeal spans across viewers of all ages — everybody has a favorite movie, everyone has a favorite line — not just in the US but all over the world.”

“When these fine people came to me with an offer to make four movies for them, I immediately said yes for one reason and one reason only…. Netflix rhymes with Wet Chicks,”” said Sandler. “”Let the streaming begin!!!!””

You obviously have to read that quote aloud in a “Chlorophyll? More like borophyll” kind of voice.

Sandler’’s Happy Madison Productions will work with Netflix to develop the four films, which will debut exclusively on Netflix in all its territories.

No specific titles for the films have been announced yet. Personally, I wish they’d bring back Remote Control.

  • Real Genius? Adam Sandler, NBC to Reboot 80s Flick as TV Comedy

It won’t star Val Kilmer and it may not focus on lasers, but NBC is reportedly set to reboot the 1985 cult hit Real Genius for the modern age.

Deadline reports that Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison Productions, 3 Arts Entertainment, and Sony TV are teaming up to bring an updated version of the 80s flick to NBC. Apparently a “single camera comedy,” the new Real Genius “centers on the relationship between a rock star-like genius…and a sheltered, naive co-worker.” Basically, it’ll be a workplace comedy with elements from the original film.

Craig DiGregorio (Workaholics) and David King (Parks and Recreation) will pen the script.

You can check for yourself, but initial reactions are mixed, to say the least.

What do you think? Excited? Think it’s a terrible idea?

  • Britney Spears Posts Dead-On Impression of Woody Woodpecker

Britney Spears has revealed a hidden talent to the world in an Instagram post.

Bet you didn’t know she could do a spot-on impression of Woody Woodpecker.

The Circus singer’s impression of the famous cartoon bird, known for his bright red pompadour and unique laugh, is so dead-on it is uncanny.

Spears shared the hilarious video of her imitation of Woody Woodpecker on Friday. In the short clip, captioned, “Sometimes I do impressions…,” the pop princess seems to be having a really fun time with her kids in the car as she breaks into that highly recognizable laugh made famous by Looney Tunes legend Mel Blanc.

It’s really adorable to hear her little guy giggling in the backseat of their vehicle, as well.

She shared another fun Instagram post tagged “#SoCold” and “#BreakTheIce,” which shows the 32-year-old singer as she accepts the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. She accepted the challenge after being nominated by her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears.

Spears then nominated Adam Sandler, boyfriend David Lucado and friend Robin Greenhill to support the now-global cause, which supports amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.

According to the ALS.org website, more than $53 million has reportedly been raised for the ALS Association since July 29, when the charitable stunt went viral online.

Unfortunately, Spears has also recently been accused of lip-syncing during a performance at her Vegas gig.

According to Oh Not They Didn’t!, Spears lip-synched her song, Perfume, over Sia’s recording of the song.

However, it was likely just an accident.

“If you listen closely to the performance video, you can make out some of Spears’ vocals under Sia’s more charactered voice,” Billboard’s Colin Stutz said. “That’s because, most likely, Spears uses Sia’s track as an in-monitor guide when she sings. Only this time it was put into the house mix, making for an embarrassing accident.”

  • Drew Barrymore, Ciara Show Off Baby Bumps at Safe Kids Event

Drew Barrymore, Ciara Show Off Baby Bumps at Safe Kids Event

Drew Barrymore and Ciara showed off their very pregnant baby bellies at a Safe Kids event on Saturday.

Barrymore and Ciara were two of many celebrities who took part in Safe Kids Day in Los Angeles. The event was essentially an educational playdate to raise funds and awareness of preventable childhood injuries.

Malin Akerman, Tom Arnold, Piers Morgan, Giuliana Rancic, Vanna White, and Kendra Wilkinson also lent star power to the event.

“I try to have a sense of humor about how [much] you need to learn and tackle, and how to remain fun-loving and not, like, uptight because there’s so much to care about and to learn about,” Barrymore said in advance of the Kids Safe event.

“I’ve never been so worried in my life about making sure that something I care about more than I’ve ever cared in my life is safe and intact.”

Barrymore’s daughter Olive Barrymore Kopelman was born in September 2012. In December 2013 Barrymore revealed that she and husband Will Kopelman would welcome another daughter to the family in 2014.

Barrymore has said that motherhood has altered how she sees her career.

“It used to be work first and now it’s life first … So even though I’m doing a lot, there’s a lot of things that have slowed down. I don’t make that many movies anymore. I’m not really producing right now. And I’m trying to do jobs where I can work from home or be at home by dinnertime if I do have to go out to meetings. You just sort of change your life.”

In January Barrymore published a book of photography titled Find It in Everything.

Blended, in which she stars with Adam Sandler, is scheduled to release in May.

Barrymore is also the owner of Flower Beauty, a line of makeup and nail polish sold exclusively at Walmart.

Ciara announced during a January 2014 appearance on The View that she and fiancé Future are expecting their first child together.

  • Bella Thorne to Star in ‘Amityville’ Film

Bella Thorne to Star in ‘Amityville’ Film

Bella Thorne is crossing over to the dark side–at least a character she will play in the near future is. The actress will soon go from being a Disney darling to starring in a new Amityville horror film opposite Jennifer Jason Leigh. Leigh will reportedly play a single mother who moves with her kids to the iconic Amityville house. And of course everyone knows what will happen next. Thorne will play one of Leigh’s three kids, set to embark on a new life replete with bad background music and sounds, as well as an ample amount of shock factor.

The original Amityville Horror came out in 1979 and received a front and center remake in 2005 starring Ryan Reynolds and Chloe Moretz. The franchise is based on a book by Jay Anson called The Amityville Horror: A True Story.

Franck Khalfoun is director of the fright flick that is scheduled for release in theaters in January of 2015.

Bella Thorne seems very excited to be starring in this horror film. She shared word of her upcoming role via Instagram.

Thorne also shared a photo of a makeup test she took part in for the upcoming film.

Thorne is best known for her role in The Disney Channel hit Shake It Up. She stars in the film Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day and she starred in Adam Sandler’s film Blended. She will soon appear on the big screen in a thriller called Home Invasion.

Will Bella survive the Amityville house of horrors? Do you think her character will be among those who make it out at the end of the horror film?

Fans will have to wait to see Bella Thorne in the latest in the Amityville Horror films, but can see her work in literary form this coming summer, as her first book is scheduled to hit book stores then. This multi-talented 16-year-old clearly has a lot to offer and it sounds like she plans to be in the spotlight for many years to come.

  • Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler Sing Duet on ‘Tonight Show’

Longtime friends and on-screen partners, Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, were guests on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday night to endorse their upcoming movie Blended, which is set in South Africa. The two play single parents who end up going on a vacation together in Africa.

Barrymore and Sandler first worked together in the 1998 romantic comedy film The Wedding Singer, and then again in 50 First Dates, which came out in 2004. In both movies, the on-screen couple had undeniable chemistry that was effortless. The pregnant actress said that they get to fall in love with each other every 10 years, and Sandler agreed by saying that they have a lot of fun together.

Fallon then asked the two to express their feelings by doing a duet. Barrymore and Sandler obliged to the audience’s delight, and Fallon provided accompaniment with his guitar.

In the song, Sandler asked Barrymore if he is her best movie husband. Barrymore responded by singing “Of course you are, Adam.” He then asked if he was better than Hugh Grant, Barrymore’s co-star in Music and Lyrics, and Ben Stiller her co-star in Duplex. Barrymore answered the he was much better than them.

The last question Sandler asked was if he is better than Fallon, Barrymore’s co-star in Fever Pitch. The actress responded by singing that they have both have great qualities.

Sandler ended their duet by singing a few lines from Grow Old with You, a song featured in “The Wedding Singer.” Barrymore was moved to tears and the two hugged each other.

Barrymore shared a photo on her Instagram account with Fallon and Sandler. The caption read “Two of my favorite men on this earth!!!!! @jimmyfallon and adam my love! #bestnightever.”

Barrymore and Sandler’s romantic comedy film Blended hits theaters on May 23.

  • Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler Serenade One Another on ‘Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon’

Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler had Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show audience in stitches as they sang a song to one another, accompanied of course by Fallon on his acoustic guitar.

“Every 10 years, we get to fall in love again,” Drew said.

    Sandler agreed.

“We really do. We enjoy it. We have a lot of fun together,” he said.

Jimmy Fallon asked the two if they would like to express “those feelings in song.”

“Every 10 years, I promise to love you,” Drew Barrymore began singing.

Sandler followed suit, singing, “I’ll always be true, even as we get older.”

Barrymore recounted the first time the two met, and Sandler remembered, “You gave me a hug and I got a boner.”

Then the mom-to-be who is visibly pregnant sang, “You are the [Fred Astaire] to my Ginger Rogers,” to which Sandler replied, “You’re the Rob Ford to my crack cocaine.”

“I will still love you when you’re 64,” Barrymore promised.

Sandler sang, “I will still love you when your boobs touch the floor.”

    Barrymore joked, “So, right now?”

Sandler laughed and said, “Not yet!”

The song ended on a very sweet and gentle note, with Sandler singing a line from his most famous Wedding Singer song:

“Oh, I could be the man who grows old with you. I want to grow old with Drew-y!”

Prior to the song Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler talked about their children. Sandler has two daughters, Sunny and Sadie, and Drew has her little girl Olive. Jimmy Fallon and his wife recently welcomed daughter Winnie into the world. Jimmy mentioned the fact that between them they have five daughters. It was then that Drew announced there will soon be six. She is, in fact, expecting another little baby girl.

Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler are pure delights when they guest star on late night shows like The Tonight Show. The two are beyond perfect when playing off of one another. That’s why they were so funny and sweet together in films like 50 First Dates and The Wedding Singer. Interestingly enough, Drew also starred in a film with Jimmy Fallon called Fever Pitch. Barrymore and Sandler are at it again, however, with a new film set to premiere in May. Check out the trailer for Blended.

If you missed Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon Wednesday night, it’s well worth watching online. And check out one of their old films while awaiting the premiere of Blended.

  • Razzie Nominations: Adam Sandler Strikes Again

The 2014 Razzies nominations were announced on Tuesday, and once again, an Adam Sandler film leads the pack. Some moviegoers may be surprised to see that Johnny Depp made the cut for the first time ever (we know that pretty much no one thought The Lone Ranger was good, but still…Johnny Depp?). Other actors receiving Razzie nominations include Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan. Some people probably didn’t realize that those two are still making movies, but it may help to know that their roles come along with “Worst Actor” designations.

Sandler’s Grown Ups 2 received eight Golden Raspberry Award nominations. As staggering as this number may be, it’s nothing compared to his Jack & Jill film from 2011. That movie was bad enough to sweep the Razzies in 2012, which is the first time any film has “won” every Razzie category.

Check out the full list of 2014 Razzie Awards nominations below. Was there an actor or film that you’re surprised didn’t make the cut? Add your comments below.

  • Adam Sandler Named Most Overpaid Actor

Every year, Forbes Magazine calculates how much our movie stars are actually worth. Using data collected from Celebrity 100 research and Box Office Mojo, along with the star’s last three films, they are able to determine just how much each star earned at the box office per dollar of pay.

This year Adam Sandler was named the top overpaid actor, making $15 million per film. Sandler’s movies, Jack & Jill and That’s My Boy , were the culprits that landed him at the top of the list. Jack & Jill grossed $150 million but the film cost an estimated $80 million to make, leaving only a mere $70 million for Sony. The same thing happened with That’s My Boy when it only grossed $57 million and cost $70 million to make. Sandler’s latest movie, Grown Ups 2, actually did quite well at the box office grossing $246 million with a budget of $80 million. However the cut off for the movies that Forbes considers is June 1, and Grown Ups 2 was not released until July.

“We estimate that for every dollar Sandler was paid on his last three movies, the films returned an average of $3.40,” Forbes‘ Dorothy Pomerantz wrote.

Below is Forbes’ complete list of overpaid actors:

    1. Adam Sandler ($3.40)
    2. Katherine Heigl ($3.50)
    3. Reese Witherspoon ($3.90)
    4. Nicholas Cage ($6.00)
    5. Kevin James ($6.10)
    6. Denzel Washington ($8.30)
    7. Steve Carell ($10.00)
    8. Jennifer Aniston ($10.60)
    9. Matt Damon ($10.60)
    10. Ryan Reynolds ($10.70)

This was the first year that Kevin James and Steve Carrell made the list, and that is in part due to their most recent movie flops, Here Comes the Boom and The Incredible Burt Wonderstone.

  • Adam Sandler Tops Forbes’ “Overpaid” List

Adam Sandler was one of the kings of the ’90s. Not only did he have a very successful run on “Saturday Night Live”–where he was a golden god in an era that included David Spade, Julia Sweeney and Chris Farley–he also starred in some of the most quotable films of that time (“Did the penguin tell you to do this?”) and had a successful side career as a comic musician.

But these days, the luster seems to be fading from Sandler’s films; although “Grown Ups” was a success, “Jack and Jill” and “That’s My Boy” were considered flops. Sadly, Forbes Magazine says that for every dollar Sandler makes, he pulls in just $3.40 at the box office. For that reason, he is the number one overpaid actor of the year.

But he’s in good company; the magazine had several other actors they consider to be asking for too much when it comes to their work; Katherine Heigl, Reese Witherspoon, Nicholas Cage, Kevin James, Denzel Washington, Steve Carell, Jennifer Aniston, Matt Damon, and Ryan Reynolds finish up the top ten list.

Sandler was also on last year’s list, though Eddie Murphy beat him to the number one spot; Reese Witherspoon and Katherine Heigl were on it, as well.

  • Adam Sandler Tops List Of Most Overpaid Actors

Adam Sandler has been named the most-overpaid actor in the list that was released by Forbes magazine. He continues to pull in big paychecks as if he were making big hits such as Happy Gilmore or Billy Madison still, despite the fact his past few films have been complete flops.

Hollywood continues to pay its biggest stars millions of dollars per film, with Sandler being one of them. However, as his films continue to do poorly, fans have to wonder if it is worth it for the studios to pay him the huge upfront paychecks, since it is such a hard task to determine whether a film is going to be a success or not.

While big names that have been popular often gain big money at the box office, that is clearly not the case all the time as Adam Sandler and other big name stars made some less than stellar films over the past year. The list is made up by examining the last three movies each actor starred in over the three years to June 1st.

In order to compile a list of the 10 highest paid actors, Forbes had a formula in which they looked at pay, movie budgets and expenses, and calculated a return on investment number for each star, and then averaged those numbers to get an overall return.

While it is being criticized as one of the worst films of the year and tops Time Magazine’s top 10 worst movies of 2013, Grown Ups 2 was actually Adam Sandler’s recent success at the box office. However, That’s My Boy and Jack And Jill did wonders to hurt his box office numbers, causing him to return an average of $3.40 on his last three movies.

Closely following Adam Sandler in second place is actress Katherine Heigl, who started off with a very successful career, but her films that have come out recently have not been much to marvel at. She burst onto the Hollywood scene as the queen of romantic comedy, starring in 27 Dresses and Knocked Up, but with films such as Killers and One For The Money, she has not had much success since her earlier films. In fact, for every dollar she earned, she returned an average of $3.50.

Reese Witherspoon comes in third on the list averaging a $3.90 return on every dollar that she makes. Following Witherspoon in fifth place is an actor that Adam Sandler has worked with on multiple occasions, and is appearing on the list for the first time. Kevin James fell to a return of $6.10 this year, mostly due to his awful looking film, Here Comes The Boom, which deterred many people, and only grossed $73 million at the worldwide box office.

As the most overpaid actor, Adam Sandler is in a bit of an awkward position. While he enjoys making a lot of money, it can’t feel good to be known as the guy who makes more than everyone else when he doesn’t deserve it.

  • Grown Ups 2 Getting Smashed By Critics

Adam Sandler has never been a critical darling, at least for movies that come from his Happy Madison company. That being said, Sandler’s movies normally perform much better than expected pretty well, even if they are getting bombed by reviewers. Will the same formula work for Sandler’s newest endeavor, the highly-anticipated Grown Ups 2, or will it get crushed by the massive mechs and sea monsters in the form of Pacific Rim? Because the first ingredient, the bad reviews, are starting to pop up.

The one that’s getting the most traction comes from the Variety, which begins it’s reflection with the following lede, “Among the slackest, laziest, least movie-like movies released by a major studio in the last decade.”

As you can imagine, it’s all downhill from there. Some highlights:

“Grown Ups 2” is perhaps the closest Hollywood has yet come to making “Ow! My Balls!” seem like a plausible future project. It is all but guaranteed a strong opening weekend..

while “Grown Ups 2” made some often cringeworthy attempts to shoehorn maudlin life lessons and character arcs into all the crotch smashing, this sequel barely attempts to function as a piece of narrative filmmaking at all, almost immediately devolving into a hash of frantic, random incidents strung together with the slimmest sliver of coherence.

…it features plentiful flatulence, and James Joyce might well have appreciated the neologism “burpsnart,” which describes Kevin James’ character’s ability to burp, sneeze and fart simultaneously.

In one scene, the central foursome come across a giant tire, and with no attempt at explanation or reasonable comedic setup, Spade is simply thrust inside and sent rolling through town, because that’s what grown men do when they find a giant tire.

While the film is hardly distinguished by any of its craft elements, it’s never nearly as ugly as it is stupid.

All of the above quotes are, of course, worthy of appearing on a movie poster. In fact, if Sandler wanted to demonstrate a true element of wit, he would include these accolades in the Blu-Ray’s liner notes. Anyway, the folks who are responsible for the Rotten Tomatoes Twitter feed were eager to get in on the action as well:

So? Does the immediate negative feedback pretty much ensure Grown Ups 2 is going to have a huge opening weekend or will it get smashed by Del Toro’s Pacific Rim and all the massiveness contained within? Judging by these Twitter gems, it looks like Sandler’s latest will also be critic-proof:
