  • Ellen DeGeneres Kicks Off 12th Season, Marriage With Portia de Rossi Saved

Ellen DeGeneres certainly has a lot to be grateful for. Her daytime talk show is set to kick off its twelfth season on Monday, September 8th–and even more importantly, her marriage with Portia de Rossi has reportedly been salvaged. This doesn’t mean everything is going perfectly for the talk show host and comedienne, but Radar Online does report that the two are ‘doing much better.’

Ellen and Portia just returned from a European vacation and Ellen is excited to get back to work. Her first show will feature the new–and old–coaches on The Voice. She will be joined by not only Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, but new coaches Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams as well.

“Towards the end of last season everything was really taking a toll on her,” a source told Radar Online, referring to The Ellen DeGeneres Show. “While Portia was in treatment and everyone was predicting that they were getting a divorce, it was really hard. But thankfully, all of that has passed.”

“Ellen says that she will be with Portia forever and that she puts her wife before anything, even her career,” the source added.

The two recently celebrated their sixth anniversary, with a beautiful message in the sky.

Will Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi eventually create a ‘baby makes three’ scenario? Rumor has it Portia wants to have a child.

“All Portia can talk about is beginning a new chapter in their lives and starting a family,” a source reportedly told InTouch magazine.

A baby for Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi would definitely be big news for Ellen’s TV show. Just imagine how excited the audiences would be. Can you imagine the Mother’s Day show that would follow such an announcement? Ellen would likely outdo Oprah Winfrey in TV giveaways by giving away a wealth of baby items.

Hopefully things truly are fine for Ellen and Portia and that if they decide a child is in the cards for them that this new facet of their lives serves to prove emotionally enriching and joyful. Fans are no doubt beyond thrilled about a new season of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Perhaps they will find the host well-rested and renewed since things are so much better with her marriage.

  • Eddie Vedder Parodied By Adam Levine

Eddie Vedder Parodied By Adam Levine

Eddie Vedder could easily take a hiatus from Pearl Jam, put his feet up, and let Adam Levine fill in for a bit.

This is what we found out when Jimmy Fallon challenged Levine to one of his kooky games called “Wheel of Musical Impressions”.

Of course, in true Jimmy Fallon style, there was a hilarious twist on his challenge.

They impersonated famous musicians like Michael Jackson and Frank Sinatra, both of which were completely spot on, and they did this with children’s songs. The very best, in my humble opinion, was his Eddie Vedder impression.

If you haven’t seen this yet, you must. If you have, you must watch it again!

It must have been difficult for Adam Levine to iron his high-pitched wail into a gritty Eddie Vedder, but he sure didn’t look like he was struggling. I had no idea that Adam Levine was so talented! But apparently, he isn’t new to doing impressions on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

It’s not like he knocked Jimmy Fallon off of the King of Impressions throne or anything, but it’s pretty impressive. So impressive that the video has traveled around social media and back again clogging the feeds of many.

This is great news for Levine! At least, God forbid, if Adam Levine’s fame runs out, he could always hit up the washed out comedy clubs around the city and do impressions!

This just might be a new favorite game on The Tonight Show!

How did Eddie Vedder respond to his parody? I don’t know. He doesn’t say much. If you’ve heard, let us know!

  • Behati Prinsloo, Mrs. Adam Levine, Talks Victoria’s Secret Gig

Behati Prinsloo–the new Mrs. Adam Levine–spoke recently about her gig as a Victoria’s Secret Angel, and despite the confidence the sexy supermodel exudes, she admits to feeling some jitters.

“I was so nervous in the beginning,” Behati said. “You’re in your underwear in front of all these staring people,” Prinsloo said. “But it really does motivate you to be your best and look your best. All the girls are doing squats backstage!”

When you check out this Victoria’s Secret photo of Behati that she posted just a couple of weeks ago, you can see the backstage squats worked nicely for the supermodel.

She captioned this shot, ‘Paris at midnight @victoriassecret’

Born in Namibia–a country in southern Africa–the newlywed graces the cover of the virtual magazine The Edit, and within its content shares her personal style–high fashion grunge.

“My look is grungy, very rock ‘n’ roll,” she said. “I love the ’70s; I love the vibe. The music I listen to most is Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, punk. That’s why The Edit’s shoot was so cool.”

When the 25-year-old (yes, Adam Levine married a younger woman–he is 35) isn’t in front of the cameras or on a runway she likes to hang out in a selection of tried and true favorites, including “cut-off shorts, Dr. Martens, Rag & Bone jeans, lots of vintage rock tees from secondhand shops.”

Behati Prinsloo was discovered by the daughter of Sarah Doukas–the same woman who discovered Kate Moss back in 1988. She discovered Behati in a grocery store in Cape Town. At that time Prinsloo had no idea who Kate Moss was.

“Growing up, I’d look at magazines and think, ‘These pretty girls are actually doctors, right?’ I didn’t even know about Kate Moss,” she said.

These days Behati Prinsloo is excited about being Mrs. Adam Levine and she’s looking forward, too, to the first Victoria’s Secret international fashion show coming up in London.

Do you expect The Voice coach will be on hand to support his bride?

  • Behati Prinsloo Marries The ‘Sexiest Man Alive,’ Adam Levine Is Officially Off The Market

The “Sexiest Man Alive” is no longer a bachelor. On July 19, singer Adam Levine married Victoria’s Secret model Behati Prinsloo at the Flora Farm in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico, in front of about 275 friends and family. Levine and Prinsloo dated for one year before being engaged about a year ago.

Jonah Hill, 22 Jump Street actor and one of Levine’s closest friends, officiated the ceremony. According to one of the guests, Hill was funny, charming, and very sentimental.” Hill and Levine have been friends since they were kids, along with their friend Jason Segel, who was a groomsman. “Jonah is my little bro. That’s my boy,” Levine told PEOPLE.

Prinsloo’s father, who is a minister, also gave the couple a blessing.

Prinsloo wore a blush pink, lace Marchesa gown matching the bridesmaids’ white dresses, while the groomsmen wore black pants with black Hawaiian-print tops. Guests were not required to wear a specific dress code for the event.

Among those present at the ceremony included Robert Downey Jr, Levine’s Maroon 5 bandmates, model Coco Rocha, and other Victoria’s Secret models.

At the reception, legendary singer Stevie Nicks performed for everyone. Levine and Prinsloo joined her on stage to sing as well.

Before the wedding, guitarist James Valentine said that Levine is not at all worried about getting married. “I think he’s really excited. I expected him to be more nervous. They’re very amped up. They’re very happy. It’s going to be really fun.”

On the day of his wedding, Levine started the day by posting a message on Facebook saying, “Let’s do this!”

After the wedding, the newlyweds are reportedly going to South Africa, where Prinsloo is originally from, in order to spend time and celebrate with people who were not able to attend the wedding celebrations in Mexico.

  • Adam Levine Marries Behati Prinsloo

Adam Levine is now a married man!

On Saturday, July 19, the Maroon 5 front-man married Namibian Victoria’s Secret model Behati Prinsloo.

According to People magazine, the romantic ceremony took place at Flora Farms in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The couple reportedly wed in front of 275 guests, which included their close family and friends.

Celebrity guests included Levine‘s Maroon 5 band mates, Stevie Nicks, and Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr. E! News reports that most of the bridesmaids were Victoria Secret models.

Their wedding was officiated by Wolf of Wall Street actor Jonah Hill. Several inside sources shared interesting details about the ceremony describing it as “loose, fun and romantic.” Hill reportedly helped to set the tone for the intimate affair, making light-hearted jokes and heartwarming remarks about the beautiful bride.

“Jonah was hysterical. He was telling so many jokes, but then in the middle would be so sweet and sincere. He also talked about how sweet Behati is and how perfect they are for one another,” an insider told the publication. One of Hill’s notable jokes centered around a childhood pastime he, Levine, and Downey shared. The 30-year-old actor reportedly joked about the three of them skateboarding with Stevie Nicks when they were children. “He set up the joke perfectly. His timing was amazing. Everyone was giggling.”

Another source shared a few highlights about the ceremony itself. “All the guests were happy and relaxed,” another source said. “They were excited to celebrate with the couple on their big day. It was all fresh, seared tuna, lovely salads, everything was organic and amazing,” the source said, adding, “Drinks were flowing. There was every kind of mojito you can imagine.”

Levine and Prinsloo began dating in May of 2012. The two reportedly broke up in March of 2013, but later reconciled and became engaged in July of that year.

  • Behati Prinsloo, Adam Levine Marry in Mexico

Behati Prinsloo and Adam Levine tied the knot in Mexico on Saturday. The Voice star and Maroon 5 front man married the Victoria’s Secret Angel in front of 300 guests. Behati wore a stunning Marchesa gown and the couple asked friends and family members to make charitable donations in lieu of wedding gifts.

Some of those friends included a long list of celebrities. Jonah Hill was on hand, as was Candice Swanepoel, Jason Segel, and most of the members of Maroon 5. Band mate James Valentine performed during the ceremony that included 20-minute-long vows.

“It’s just another gig for me. I’m gonna be playing some solo acoustic guitar during the ceremony when people are walking [in],” Valentine–who served as Adam Levine’s best man–said during an interview prior to the nuptials.

Fellow Voice coach and half of Adam Levine’s TV bromance, Blake Shelton, was unable to attend the wedding. Blake is on tour in Chicago. Stevie Nicks, who will serve as mentor for Adam’s upcoming team on The Voice, flew in for the big day.

The night before that big day, Behati Prinsloo and Adam Levine hosted a ‘rehearsal dinner beach party.’ Held at the El Dorado Golf & Beach Club, guests enjoyed authentic Mexican cuisine that included mini churros and ice cream for dessert.

Just hours before his wedding, Adam Levine took to social media with excitement.

Behati Prinsloo started dating the ‘Maps’ singer back in 2012. They split for a short time, but Adam Levine gave the relationship his all after that–proposing to Behati almost exactly one year ago.

“Famous last words, ‘I’ll never get married,’” Adam Levine said to Jay Leno on The Tonight Show last fall. “I still don’t necessarily think you have to get married unless you meet someone that makes you want to marry them. And then you marry them and it’s wonderful.”

Of course not everyone is thrilled that Adam Levine got married.

This guy seemed to get it, however.

Behati Prinsloo and Adam Levine and now en route to a honeymoon in South Africa. May they enjoy some relaxing time together as husband and wife, and return to their insane world to experience their happily ever after.

  • Keira Knightley Not In “Comfort Zone” For New Movie

Keira Knightley is pioneering new territory in her acting career by starring as a singer (and singing her own songs) in her new movie, Begin Again.

Knightley took voice lessons to prepare for the role and also learned a few tricks and chords to make it look like she knew what she was doing for the film’s many music scenes.

“The whole thing was out of my comfort zone. I am not a singer. I didn’t know how to do that,” she said of her most challenging, and least tragic, role to date.

Keira Knightley plays a british singer, Gretta, who comes to America with her musician boyfriend, which is Adam Levine in his debut role, just as he is about to make it big.

When he gets caught up in fame and glory and leaves her by the wayside, Keira Knightley’s character finds her break in a smokey bar when she is discovered by washed-up music executive, Dan, played by the fabulous Mark Ruffalo.

“Essentially, what it is about is people falling down in life and trying to pick themselves back up, whether that is romantically or whatever,” said Keira Knightley of the movie’s premise.

It wasn’t all easy, though. It’s the first time Keira Knightley has had to stretch her vocals on film, but also the first time that improvisation has been a major part of her job.

“A lot of the film was improvised, and I had never done that before. I’d say that those two were major things to be grappling with.”

Those are definitely two major challenges, but Keira Knightley handles them both beautifully! She also enjoys an incredible line-up of co-stars including Catherine Keener, Hailee Steinfeld, CeeLo Green, and Yasiin Bey (formerly known as Mos Def).

Congrats to Keira Knightley on her new movie and not dying in it!

  • Keira Knightley Makes Singing Debut In New Film

Keira Knightley has revealed how intimidated she was to step into a recording studio in the upcoming film Begin Again for her role as an aspiring singer/songwriter.

“When I signed up for the film it was really the script that drew me and I didn’t think too much about the singing aspect for some odd reason,” said Knightley. “Then when I was confronted with having to do the actual singing I started to become very anxious. Suddenly I found myself in a recording studio with professional music people and I realised I didn’t know what I was doing! It was terrifying!”

The John Carney-directed piece stars Knightley as Gretta, the mentee of a struggling music producer played by Mark Ruffalo. Gretta blithely embarks on a mission to conquer NYC with folk music (oh, jeez) and gets her heart broken along the way by Adam Levine, the guy from Maroon 5.

“This film was a challenge for him, too, because film is not the world he’s used to. But he’s a natural entertainer and every fibre of his being is dedicated to performing” said Knightley of Levine’s acting, which is likely the kindest thing anyone has said about his talent, ever. Classy lady, that Knightley.

Knightley is married to a musician (James Righton of The Klaxons) and he evidently did his best to teach her the ways of the music world — without too much luck. “He tried to teach me how to play the guitar and I tried not to kill him – so that was about it. And then he stopped trying to teach me the guitar because I’m not very good at it,” said Knightley. “I’m definitely not a singer but I think I’m good enough to fake it!” I am hoping so, because this movie is what’s called a “feel good” film, and god help me I can’t stay away from those.

“I felt that I had done enough very dramatic kinds of roles over the last five years and that I was tired of playing dark and tormented women,” said Knightley of her decision to do a film with a lighthearted tone. “It begins to wear you down and I decided that I want to do more upbeat kinds of movies where I can play characters who are maybe a little closer in spirit to who I am and how I’m feeling at this point in my life.”

And thanks to Knightley’s decision to abandon her “serious roles only for me, please” roots, we get a film with a Mark Ruffalo shower scene and probably several folk-pop tunes that you will never admit to liking. Ah, Hollywood.

  • Keira Knightley On Singing: “It Was Terrifying”

We all know that Keira Knightley can act. But until recently, most people did not know that she could sing. In fact, Knightley didn’t even really know that she could carry a tune. The 29-year-old actress gets to show off her singing chops in the film Begin Again, where she plays an aspiring singer-songwriter in New York City.

Knightley was not exactly confident in her ability to sing well enough to play the lead in a major motion picture about a singer, “When I signed up for the film it was really the script that drew me and I didn’t think too much about the singing aspect for some odd reason.” She added, “Then when I was confronted with having to do the actual singing I started to become very anxious. Suddenly I found myself in a recording studio with professional music people and I realized I didn’t know what I was doing! It was terrifying!”

The film was directed by John Carney, the man responsible for the successful independent film Once. Adam Levine also stars in the movie. Just like Knightley, the rockstar had to leave his comfort zone for Begin Again, because the Maroon 5 frontman had never acted in a film before.

Knightley is a confident actress, we’ve seen her range in heavy dramatic films like Atonement, A Dangerous Method, and Pride and Prejudice. When asked if singing was the toughest part of Begin Again, she replied, “I don’t usually have doubts when it comes to approaching the acting side of things although I do get stressed just before shooting starts, but the singing was something for some reason I didn’t really think about until we got very close to the start.” Knightley added, “I didn’t anticipate being as frightened as I was. When I accepted to do the film, for some odd reason I didn’t really consider the singing aspect and suddenly when you’re confronted with that you begin to have some serious anxiety! It’s not at all the same as singing in the shower – surprise, surprise!”

One thing that helped to aid Knightley’s confidence was that she knew that she didn’t have to sing like Whitney Houston or Mariah Carey. The character that she plays, Greta, is not a power ballad voice, “I knew though that in terms of the character I was playing she was more of a songwriter and folk singer and John (director Carney) wasn’t looking for a voice that was going to carry a musical. I know I don’t have that, but I think you can kind of get away with a lot more in folk music. So we were kind of going for a talky-songy type vibe that we thought might be quite cool for the character. I’m definitely not a singer but I think I’m good enough to fake it!”

You can go see for yourself how well Knightley can carry a tune. Begin Again is currently playing in select theaters nationwide.

  • Stevie Nicks Joins ‘The Voice’ as Advisor to Adam Levine’s Team

Stevie Nicks has joined the upcoming season of The Voice as an adviser to Adam Levine‘s team.

The 66-year-old Fleetwood Mac singer has been working with Levine and his 12 team members as they assign songs and rehearse with the contestants in preparation for the 7th season’s battle rounds, currently in production.

“I just think it’s a great show,” she told Extra in an interview with Levine. “Adam would never be sitting here seven years later if this wasn’t a great show.”

So just how did Levine persuade Nicks to join his team?

    “Bribery, begging, pleading,” said Levine.

“Presents… fur coat, some beautiful shoes, sheets,” continued Nicks.

New coaches Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams will join Levine and Blake Shelton when the NBC show returns on Sept. 22.

Stefani and Williams are replacing a departed Usher and a pregnant Christina Aguilera this season, and Levine said it has been an easy transition.

“It was smooth sailing from the beginning. They are frighteningly good at it,” said the Maroon 5 frontman.

The network says it will soon announce other advisers for this season.

  • Stevie Nicks Joins ‘The Voice’ as Mentor

Stevie Nicks takes her “Seven Wonders” to The Voice this fall.

The Associated Press reported this morning that Nicks will act as a mentor for Adam Levine‘s team on the seventh season of NBC’s hit reality show. In 2011, during the first season of The Voice, Nicks performed “Landslide” with Javier Colon, who became the first winner of the series.

Nicks will offer advice to Levine’s 12-contestant team. Her duties as a mentor will include helping with song selection and giving advice during rehearsals. Filming for the series has already begun, but The Voice’s new season doesn’t premiere until September 22. This season coaches Levine and Blake Shelton will be joined by Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani.

Nicks also made another big television appearance last year.  She appeared as a witch version of herself on the horror anthology series American Horror Story last season. For the coven-focused season, she performed her songs, “Rhiannon,” “Seven Wonders,” and “Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You?” In late April 2014, Nicks posted pictures of her in the studio working on new music.

A new solo album will probably be released later this year or next year. Besides recording music, Nicks will be on tour again with her band Fleetwood Mac in the fall. They start their 33-city tour on September 30th in Minneapolis.

  • Adam Levine: No Pay for ‘Begin Again’

Adam Levine, coach on The Voice and front man for Maroon 5, stars in the upcoming film Begin Again, and he received no pay whatsoever for his role. He did it solely for the experience and earned nothing more than his first feature film credit.

“I did this movie for no money,” he said during an interview with USA Today.

The singer, who is engaged to Behati Prinsloo and involved in a hilarious bromance with fellow Voice coach Blake Shelton, simply wanted the experience of acting in a feature film.

“I’m very lucky that I’m in that position,” Levine said. “I want to have good experiences. I don’t want to do a bunch of s–t that I hate. I want to treat [acting] completely differently because I have the very fortunate luxury of not having to think of this in terms of money.”

According to a recent feature in The Hollywood Reporter, Adam Levine made about $35 million–just in 2013. He certainly didn’t need to do this film for pay.

Adam Levine plays the ‘bad boy ex-boyfriend’ of Keira Knightley’s character in Begin Again. He, of course, sings and plays guitar in the film as well. It has opened in theaters nationwide.

While this is Adam’s first time in a feature film, it’s not exactly his first foray into acting. He played himself in a 30 Rock cameo appearance and he also acted in a few episodes of FX’s American Horror Story back in 2012.

Given Adam Levine’s well-rounded career he will likely be a huge part of the box office draw for Begin Again. The Voice fans and Maroon 5 fans are likely to flock to theaters to see their beloved prankster and singer make his big screen acting debut. Even though he’s receiving no pay, he might very well be one of the reasons the film becomes the box office blockbuster it is predicted to be.

  • ‘American Idol’ Judges and Host to Return

American Idol will see the return of all of last season’s judges as well as longtime host Ryan Seacrest for its upcoming 14th season of the singing competition. Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban, and Harry Connick Jr. will all resume their familiar roles with yet another round of contestants.

“I am thrilled our consummate host, Mr. Ryan Seacrest, is returning for Season 14, together with Jennifer, Harry and Keith,” American Idol creator and executive producer Simon Fuller said Monday in a statement. “Their interaction, warmth and experience made them an absolute joy to watch. I can’t wait to see their evolution together continue next season.”

Sources say the return of these mainstays for the show will bring it some ‘stability’ in light of the overhauls the show has made in the judge’s seats for a few consecutive seasons. Will this help them, however, as they still try to compete for ratings with The Voice on NBC? They had hoped that bringing back Jennifer Lopez for season 13 and bringing ‘nice guy’ Harry Connick, Jr. on board might do that all by itself but that simply wasn’t to be. In fact the show hit an all time low in the ratings race on May 21st when the season 13 finale was aired.

Even though numbers dwindled a bit this past season for The Voice, even with the antics of Adam Levine and Blake Shelton as well as the addition of judges Shakira and Usher, they are still miles ahead of American Idol. What might the show do to further compete with The Voice?

Do you prefer American Idol over The Voice or is it the other way around–or are you not a fan of either of the singing competitions? Do you think the return of Ryan Seacrest as host and Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban, and Harry Connick Jr. as judges will be a plus for the floundering show?

  • Adam Levine Asked Permission Before Proposing

Adam Levine may have once been known as a bad boy, however he seems to be softening up when it comes to his fiancé, Victoria’s Secret model Behati Prinsloo.

On Monday, Levine called in to Ryan Seacrest’s radio show On Air with Ryan Seacrest, to discuss his band’s new song Maps. Along with the new hit, Levine also opened up about how he asked Prinsloo’s father for his permission and blessing before he asked her to marry him. Levine called the experience “extremely nerve-wracking.”

“I did ask his permission,” Levine told Seacrest. “I don’t want to talk about it, you know how I am, but yes, of course I did. I had to. And it was extremely nerve-wracking.”

Levine popped the question nearly a year ago in July 2013. The couple’s wedding is quickly approaching and is said to be taking place on July 19 at the Hotel El Ganzo in Los Cabos, Mexico.

Aside from planning a wedding, Adam has also been busy working on his upcoming album titled V. “Every time we release a single, it always feels like the first time,” Adam explained when Maps hit the airwaves. “I always get those butterflies.”

Adam described this album as his favorite one that Maroon 5 has done together. “It’s my favorite one that we’ve ever done,” Levine said. “I’m so excited about this album. Mostly because I think that what we always do with every record… it’s kind of everything we’ve ever done as a band musically.”

“It’s what we used to sound like, it’s what we sound like now, it’s what we want to sound like tomorrow,” he added. “It’s all those elements all combined to make one, I think, really great album.”

  • Keira Knightley Talks Year-Old Marriage and ‘Begin Again’

Keira Knightley graces the July 2014 cover of Glamour magazine and within its pages she dishes on her year-old marriage to James Righton as well as about her upcoming film in which she stars with Mark Ruffalo and The Voice’s Adam LevineBegin Again.

“When James proposed, I just thought, ‘Well, never done that before.’ It seemed like a fun thing to do,” Knightley said.

The Anna Karenina actress will soon appear once again on the big screen in Begin Again in which she plays the role of Gretta opposite Adam Levine in the role of Dave Kohl, Gretta’s ‘no-good ex-boyfriend.’ Knightley says the Maroon 5 frontman did a great job portraying his ‘less-than-sweet’ character.

“He did play a d***khead very well. Actually, I admire him being so willing,” Keira said. “To play a d***khead is quite a big thing when you are trying to break into film and you want to be likable.”

The romantic comedy is a far cry from the typical films in which Keira Knightley stars. In addition to Anna Karenina she starred iPride and Prejudicen as well as in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

“[W]ith a feel-good film you are always risking going way too cheesy….But maybe I can have a little holiday where I’m not playing a character who is being destroyed,” she said.

It will be fun to see Keira Knightley in a film like Begin Again, and it will be almost as much fun to see Adam Levine play a d**k–well, you know. It’s hard to believe the jovial jokester on The Voice has it in him. Fans won’t have to wait too long to find out, however, or to see Keira Knightley in a romantic comedy. Begin Again hits theaters on June 27th.

  • The Voice Winner of Season Six Is *Spoilers*. Who’s Up For Season Seven?

Internet spoilage being what it is, it’s hard to avoid reading about the outcome of a show as popular as The Voice. But it’s usually mandatory to declare an official spoiler alert at the beginning of articles such as these, just in case you’re reading preview text or clicked on this by accident.

    SPOILER ALERT.

There. You’ve been warned. Read at your own peril.

The fact that you’re reading this article at all is a sign that you either watched the season finale or you don’t mind the spoilers with your reality TV.

Last night, Josh Kaufman was declared the winner.

He may not have been the favorite. And there may have been a glitch involving iTunes, that got his coach, Usher, really upset.

    But he won nevertheless.

Usher has had a lot to say about the win, including a message of hope to new coaches Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani. “(They can) be motivated by the fact that I was able to win ‘The Voice,’” he told TODAY. “I think that they are both incredible artists, and as long as they are as true in their process of working with talent as they are with their creative, then it should work. They’re geniuses. For the most part they should just be true to who they are, that’s what I did. It was a bit unorthodox … but that was all a process of artist development.”

Season seven of the voice is on the horizon. But little is known as to what it will bring. We know that Usher won’t be returning. Will his “replacement” Pharrell Williams claim a win for whoever he coaches? Or will we see a win from old guard members Adam Levine or Blake Shelton?

  • ‘The Voice’ Winner: Were You Surprised?

‘The Voice’ Winner: Were You Surprised?

The Voice winner was crowned on Tuesday night with some fans no doubt in shock over who it turned out to be. Do note that if you haven’t yet watched Tuesday night’s episode via your DVR on a service like On Demand that the following content contains a spoiler.

Many fans believed Team Adam’s Christina Grimmie was a shoe-in for the title of The Voice. After all, she was the singer whose initial claim to fame was that of a YouTube sensation. It was highly anticipated that her fan base would allow her the necessary number of votes to surpass both Team Blake’s Jake Worthington and Team Usher’s Josh Kaufman. Clearly that was not the case on Tuesday night, however, as Christina Grimmie wound up the third place singer of the three finalists.

At that point many viewers were excited–not because Christina Grimmie wasn’t crowned The Voice–but because it was a complete toss up at that point as to which of the remaining gentlemen would win the competition.

Before the spoiler, let’s briefly recap the entire finale. The performances were spectacular, with all three finalists bringing back contestants from earlier in this season’s show. Big name performances included Tim McGraw, Ed Sheeran, Alabama, Robin Thicke, Coldplay, and more. Last season’s winner of The Voice–Tessanne Chin–also sang, belting out a tune in her sultry, strong voice that made her last season’s clear frontrunner long before she won the title.

Even though Christina Grimmie didn’t win the title of The Voice, she went on stage Tuesday night as a huge winner just the same. Among the high points of the early moments of the show was one in which Adam Levine told her he wanted to sign her to his own record label. She was shown backstage listening to his announcement.

Jake Worthington won the hearts of Americans for the umpteenth time during this season of The Voice when he announced he was going to give his Kia–a gift to the three finalists of The Voice–to his grandmother.

“Since she bought my first vehicle, this is my chance to give back to her,” he told Carson Daly.

So who is The Voice winner? It’s Josh Kaufman. His bluesy ballads and raspy falsettos won over fans enough to crown him The Voice winner. Congratulations to Josh and to Team Usher. For once in the history of The Voice, The Voice winner isn’t attached to Team Adam or Team Blake. Usher had fun sharing that fact with his Twitter followers.

Josh Kaufman has been rendered almost speechless so far.

Are you surprised that Josh Kaufman is The Voice winner? Were you among those who truly believed Christina Grimmie had the title hands down?

‘The Voice’: Josh Kaufman of Team Usher Wins

After battling it out for weeks, Josh Kaufman emerged Tuesday from a line-up of particularly gifted performers to win this season’s The Voice competition.

Finalists Josh Kaufman of Team Usher, Christina Grimmie of Team Adam Levine, and Jake Worthington of Team Blake Shelton battled it out throughout the season, and it was difficult to decide who truly had “the voice” among the talented singers.

Unfortunately, only one could be crowned the winner — and this season, it was Kaufman.

“This is a show about dreams, about the journey of being an artist, and he represents all of that,” said Usher after the win. “From the time of the blind auditions to being stolen, he’s been on an amazing journey.”

In his pre-The Voice life, Kaufman played local gigs with his band in the Indianapolis area and supported his family as an SAT prep tutor.

At the announcement by host Carson Daly that he had won the competition, Kaufman was a little calmer than one would expect.

“I can’t even talk,” he said after winning the competition. “I’m overwhelmed. I’m surprised. I’m happy. I’m relieved. This has been so much more of an experience than I ever could have imagined.”

Kaufman’s win brings Usher to the coach’s winners circle — only Shelton and Levine have claimed that spot in other seasons. Ironically, Kaufman began his journey on Team Adam until Usher stole him away.

“This is the last big chance for me and for my family. To be able to do this for them and for Usher, it’s huge,” Kaufman said before performing.

The other young finalists Worthington and Grimmie, while they didn’t win, walk away with some great prospects for their future.

Worthington, a 17-year-old country singer from La Porte, Texas, who was turned away last season during the blind auditions, said his experience on the show reminded him that it’s ultimately about the music.

“It’s not the recording contract and it’s not the money,” said Worthington. “It’s getting on that stage, grabbing the microphone and doing what we love – and that’s what matters.”

YouTube sensation Grimmie, 20, came in third. However, she still came out a winner after receiving some good news earlier in the show. Levine told her that despite the outcome, “you will have a record deal because I would like to sign you for my label.”

Kaufman will receive a recording contract and head out on a 31-date summer tour with the other two finalists, and fan-favorite Kristen Merlin, along with season 5 winner Tessanne Chin, runner-ups Jacquie Lee and Will Champlin, and season 1 favorite Dia Frampton.

  • Maroon 5 Signs With Interscope Records, To Release New Album This Year

Maroon 5 has been around since 1994, but gained prominence with 2004’s Songs About Jane. At the time, the band was with Octone Records. Now the band has moved to a new label.

Interscope Records announced this morning that it has signed Maroon 5 and will be releasing its next album V. The album will be released in September, but a single from the album will be released this Summer. In even better news for fans, the band has signed with Live Nation for a tour this Summer.

So, what can fans expect from the new album? Beyond the title, we know that the new album is being produced by Max Martin, Benny Blanco, Ryan Tedder, Shellback and Sam Martin. Max Martin is the producer behind 90s pop hits from the Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears as well as more modern hits like Katy Perry’s “Hot ‘n Cold” and Pink’s “So What.” Blanco is a rapper and producer behind Kesha’s “Tik Tok” and Gym Class Heroes’ “Stereo Hearts.” Tedder has already been a producer on previous Maroon 5 albums while also producing albums for Beyonce and One Direction. Shellback is most known for producing Maroon 5’s “Moves like Jagger” while Sam Martin produced the band’s song “Daylight.”

As for the actual band, the new album will mark the return of keyboardist Jesse Carmichael. Carmichael was on hiatus during the recording of the band’s Overexposed album in 2012.

Alongside producing a new album, Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine will return as a coach on the 6th season of The Voice. He also has a role in the upcoming film Begin Again. It’s his first major role in a film, and he had an interesting way of handling the responsibility:

“So I was just playing the role of an actor knowing what he was doing. You know when you see a bear you have to pretend you are bigger than the bear in order to keep your life? That’s kind of what it was like. I kept thinking, ‘I’m an actor. For this next two weeks, I am an actor.’ I crossed my fingers and hoped it turned out fine.”

Maroon 5’s V will be released on September 2, 2014. The last song from Maroon 5 was last year’s single “Love Somebody.” It achieved platinum status and for good reason:

  • Maroon 5 to Release Fifth Album in September

Maroon 5 hopes you don’t go home without its new album, set to drop September 2, 2014.

Entitled V, this is the fifth album for the multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning ensemble.

Adam Levine and crew teamed up with producers Max Martin, Ryan Tedder, Benny Blanco, Sam Martin, and Shellback to create the album. Former keyboardist Jesse Carmichael also returned after going on a hiatus in 2012 to pursue more full time studies in music and the healing arts.

The album release is on the heels of the band’s new worldwide touring deal with Live Nation, which will begin this summer.

This is the first album the band will release since teaming up with Interscope Records. Previously signed with A&M/Octone, a joint venture between Universal Music Group and Octone Records, the band made the move to Interscope after the Universal label Interscope Geffen A&M acquired the remaining 50 percent of the venture and its artists, with Maroon 5 as its flagship.

The Los Angeles band hopes V brings as much success as its previous albums, including 2010’s Hands All Over, with featured the hits “Misery” and “Moves Like Jagger.”

Maroon 5 received its first of three Grammy Awards in 2006 by winning the award for “Best New Artist,” after the release of its debut album Songs About Jane. Since then, the band has sold over 17 million albums worldwide, which feature releases that have gone platinum and gold in over 35 countries.

The band’s most recent album Overexposed was perhaps its most popular, as it helped the group reach a variety of milestones. “Daylight,” the third single off of the album, reached No. 1 on both the Top 40 and Hot AC radio charts. The band also set a record for the most No. 1’s by a group in the Top 40 twenty-year history, earning a total of six in all. The album’s tour was also one of the highest-grossing of 2013 with over 50 million dollars in ticket sales.

If hearing front man Levine’s swoony voice isn’t enough for you, watch the singer serve as a judge on the Emmy Award-winning show The Voice, and make his small screen acting debut on American Horror Story. You can also see Levine in the major motion picture film Begin Again, to be released June 27.

  • Adam Levine’s Shocking New Look- Photo

Adam Levine has a new look that many fans are not too crazy about.

On Saturday, May 3, Levine revealed a selfie of himself and his fiance Behati Prinsloo on Twitter that showed off his shocking transformation … a new platinum blond hairdo!

Levine is no stranger to change, and likes to switch things up every now and then. According to Levine’s stylist Shaul Arbiv, Levine just wanted something different.

“With summer months coming up we wanted to do something totally drastic and different from his previous styles so we bleached it,” Arbiv explained. “I have been working with Adam for a long time and he likes to change up his style often.”

Along with the photograph that shocked his fans worldwide, Levine added a caption that read: “Apocalypse prep course complete.”

While Levine seems to be loving being a blond, obviously because blonds have more fun, the majority of his fans do not approve.

Levine responded to the backlash from his fans by tweeting: “I hope people understand that when they say my hair looks creepy i take that as the highest compliment.”
