  • Leonardo DiCaprio Looked Scruffy At The Beach, Bears Uncanny Likeness To Jack Nicholson

Leonardo DiCaprio was spotted at the beach in Malibu, California, during the Fourth of July weekend. However, people around him had to do a double take, as the actor did not have his usual look. He was sporting a white shirt, orange shorts, a full beard, and long hair – not the usual dapper DiCaprio.

He played a game of volleyball with his latest flame, German model Toni Garrn. Garrn wore jean shorts and a blue bikini top — she was looking sexy.

DiCaprio’s scruffy look, however, was reminiscent of Tom Hanks’ character in Cast Away. He could have written SOS in the sand and someone would have rescued him. However, some also said that the 39-year-old actor is slowly morphing into Jack Nicholson – both in face and style. His sunglasses added to the “Jack Nicholson look.”

Looks may not be the only thing the the two actors share. They both have successful acting careers, and they also share a love of beautiful models and expensive yachts. They were also co-stars in the film The Departed.

This is not the first time DiCaprio has been compared to Nicholson. During a promotional tour of Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained in Japan last year, DiCaprio surprised and wowed his fans with his Nicholson impression, complete with the eyebrow movement.

The uncanny resemblance between the two actors may be an advantage to DiCaprio if a Jack Nicholson biopic ever comes up. He may even finally snag his own Oscar award and add to the similarities between him and Nicholson.

DiCaprio has been nominated for an Oscar five times, but has never won. Nicholson, on the other hand, has 12 Oscar nominations and has won three Oscars – two for Best Actor and one for Best Supporting Actor. He is also the most nominated male actor in the history of the Academy Awards.

  • Terry Crews “Nip Sync” With Jimmy Fallon Is Hilarious [VIDEO]

On Monday, former football player turned actor Terry Crews dropped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to talk about his first job and his latest movie.

Jimmy Fallon had other stars do a lip-sync battle when they guest on his show. With Crews, however, Fallon made up a new segment called the “nip sync”. The two men performed their own rendition of the classic song “Ebony and Ivory,” a duet by Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney, and the twist was that they had to sing it and move their pectoral muscles at the same time – a move that Crews is famous for doing.

The segment showed off Crews’ perfectly sculpted body, and viewers might have been surprised to see Fallon with an equally buff torso. That is because Fallon was not flaunting his own body, but instead was using a green screen to superimpose a muscular body to his head.

Terry Crews and Jimmy Fallon perform world’s first “nip sync” duet

The nip sync duet came after Fallon showed a clip from Crews’ latest movie Blended with Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. In the movie, Crews performs a pectoral chest dance.

Crews, 45, retired from being a professional football player in 1997. After his retirement, he pursued acting and his first role was T-Money on the show Battle Dome. Through the years, he has landed roles in several films, such as The Expendables, White Chicks, and Bridesmaids among others. He also appeared in some Old Spice commercials.

When he guested on the Tonight Show, he talked about his Battle Dome job, which he said gave him a lot of injuries. He told Fallon about the time when his foot caught on fire and he was brought by a crane on the flaming side of the cage. “People were going to the hospital daily. I made it. I survived,” he said.

Crews’ latest movie, Blended, will be released on May 23.

  • Ralph Waite Tribute Will Air On ‘NCIS’ Season Finale

This season’s NCIS season finale will probably be one of the most emotional episodes that series has ever aired. Unlike past finale episodes that leave fans hanging, this one will end in an emotional note.

In a tweet posted by Michael Weatherly, who plays Tony DiNozzo in NCIS, he paid tribute to Ralph Waite, by posting a chair with the veteran actor’s name on it. The caption read, “The #ncis Season finale on the way – thoughts for Ralph…” The chair may have been photographed while filming the final episode for the season.

Waite was a recurring actor in the series who played the father of Leroy Jethro Gibbs, portrayed by Mark Harmon. Waite died at the age of 85 last February 13 because of age-related illnesses. He was well known for playing the role of John Walton Sr. on the series The Waltons. He also had several guest appearances on various television shows before securing his NCIS role.

Pauley Perrette, who plays the character of Abby Sciuto, also paid tribute to the late actor by sharing photos of the cast from the series finale, wherein the cast was all dressed in black as they had just come from a funeral.

In the season finale episode, Gibbs, the lead character of the show, will learn about the death of his father. He will then have to decide whether to pursue a case, or prepare for his father’s funeral back at his hometown. Vance then gives Gibbs advice and tells him to leave work and go to his father’s funeral.

The episode will also be filled with flashbacks of Gibbs as a little boy doing activities with his father. Gary Glasberg, executive producer for NCIS, said that the episode is emotional and “it gives people some closure.”

The NCIS series finale will air on Tuesday night.

  • Mekhi Phifer Files For Bankruptcy After Accruing $1.3 Million In Debt

Mekhi Phifer may be best known as Dr. Greg Pratt in NBC’s ER, but he’s in the news again for his extravagant expenses that have led to bankruptcy.

TMZ is reporting that Phifer has filed for bankruptcy to help absolve around $1.3 million in debt. The makeup of said debt is apparently $1.2 million in back taxes, $50,000 in lawyer fees and $4,500 in child support.

How did Phifer, an actor that still gets regular work, end up with so much debt? According to his bankruptcy documents, he spends over $11,000 a month, but only makes a little over $7,000. Even after spending so much a month, he claims to only own about $67,000 worth in assets. Those assets include a leather bed, a Segway and three guns. To satisfy his debt, he’ll have to liquidate some of those assets and start living within his means.

Fortunately for Phifer, that shouldn’t be too difficult. The actor still gets regular work in television and film. In film, his latest role is that of Max in the Divergent film trilogy. The second film, Insurgent, is already in pre-production and he will no doubt make a bit of money off of that as well. As for television, he appeared in Showtime’s House of Lies this year. He doesn’t have any regular work like he did with ER back between 2002 and 2008, but he will no doubt still find work.

Despite his troubles, everything is business as usual when it comes to interacting with the public. Over on Twitter, Phifer is hyping up Divergent and talking to fans like nothing’s wrong.

This is easily the best course of action for Phifer as publicly discussing the details of his bankruptcy isn’t smart PR for himself or the movie. We won’t know all the details until the court records are made public, but Phifer fans probably have nothing to worry about. The actor is still getting work and he at least seems pretty calm on the outside.

  • ‘Growing Pains’ Star Jeremy Miller Battled Alcohol Addiction

Child star Jeremy Miller admitted in an interview on Entertainment Tonight that he faced alcohol problems after Growing Pains ended taping in the early 1990’s.

Miller is a child star who found fame in 1985 for his role as Ben Seaver on the ABC sitcom Growing Pains. The show ran for seven years.

After Growing Pains, Miller starred in three made-for-TV reunion movies of the popular sitcom and a few roles before bowing out from the spotlight.

According to the star, he’d go over to the liquor store and drink a pint of whatever he bought by noon. By evening, he’d already have drunk another pint. He cites bourbon, vodka, and malt liquor as some of his choice drinks.

He also said that he would sometimes black out, and his sons would be afraid of him. Miller claimed that alcohol was his way of suppressing emotions.

His drinking problems began when he had to deal with “family stuff.” He has three stepsons with his wife Joanie.

But his drinking history goes way before his acting career even started. Miller stated that he started drinking at four years old, and his grandparents have told him stories of how he would finish people’s beers during parties.

Miller’s alcohol problems worsened after Growing Pains. He said that he is thankful that he didn’t own a gun, thinking that he’d do “something stupid” like commit suicide. He added that he had suicidal thoughts when things got out of hand. There were nights when he felt the urge strongly.

However, Miller’s life is turning around with a new treatment called Naltrexone, which he said has changed his life. He has been clean for two years and works at Start Fresh Recovery Clinic in California as a patient advocate.

He also has two movie roles in pre-production.

  • Mickey Rooney, Legendary Actor, Dies At 93

Mickey Rooney, Legendary Actor, Dies At 93

    Hollywood has lost another legend.

Actor Mickey Rooney has died at age 93. TMZ has learned his death on Sunday, April 6 was due to natural causes.

Born Joseph Yule, Jr., Rooney acted in more than 200 films over eight decades. Rooney began performing at 17 months old as part of his parents’ vaudeville routine.

From 1927 to 1936 Rooney was known for his role as Mickey McGuire in several short films based on a character from the comic strip Toonerville Trolley.

Rooney legally changed his name from Joseph Yule, Jr. to Mickey McGuire while he was shooting the short films to keep the creators of the comic strip from filing a copyright lawsuit. The name change didn’t work, and Rooney was to refrain from being called Mickey McGuire on- and offscreen. After this, Nellie Yule, Rooney’s mother, advised her son to go by the stage name Mickey Looney, he then slightly altered the last name to Rooney.

Next came one of Rooney’s most notable roles – Andy Hardy. Rooney first played Hardy in the film A Family Affair. The unexpected success of A Family Affair led to 15 more Andy Hardy films released from 1937 to 1958.

1937 was also the year Rooney met one of his favorite co-stars – Judy Garland. The pair first worked together in Thoroughbreds Don’t Cry. Garland played Betsy Booth in three of the Andy Hardy films. The two continued to work together in a string of musicals, including Babes in Arms, an Oscar-nominated film.

Rooney’s leading role in the 1940 film Strike Up the Band made him the first teenager to ever be nominated for an Oscar.

In 1954 Rooney took a stab at television, starring in 33 episodes of The Mickey Rooney Show as a “bumbling actor” trying to make it in show business. Ten years later Rooney starred in another television show Mickey, which ran for 17 episodes.

Today’s youth got to know Rooney for his roles in the 2006 Ben Stiller film Night at the Museum and in 2011’s The Muppets starring Amy Adams and Jason Segel.

At 5’2″ Rooney was quite the ladies man, having been married eight times, his first being to Hollywood beauty Ava Gardner. Throughout his eight marriages Rooney fathered nine children.

In 2011 Rooney claimed he was afraid his stepson Chris Aber was going to kidnap him if Rooney didn’t sign over his assets. Months later the two reached a settlement and Rooney dropped the restraining order.

Aber caused more trouble for Rooney when he siphoned money from Rooney’s accounts. Aber was made to pay Rooney $2.8 million last year. Things got worse for Aber after Rooney went in front of Congress to testify about elder abuse. Aber and his wife Christina allegedly deprived Rooney of food, medications, and blocked him from leaving his home.

Fans took to Twitter to mourn the loss of Rooney.

Three projects Rooney worked on are set to be released in 2014, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (October 4, 2014), Fragments from Olympus: The Vision of Nikola Tesla (October 31, 2014), and Old Soldiers (no release date set).

  • Barkhad Abdi: ‘Captain Phillips’ Star Stopped From Re-Entering US Over Criminal History

Actor Barkhad Abdi is set to meet with the United States customs officials for a hearing after he was detained at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on February 17. The actor had just come back from London where he received a Best Actor in a Supporting Role award from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) for his performance in the 2013 film Captain Phillips.

The Somali-born actor has a permanent residency status in the U.S. If he didn’t, Abdi would not have been permitted to enter the country at all because of his criminal history. Abdi’s most recent case was in August 2012, when he and four of his friends were arrested and charged with drug possession by the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office in Iowa. The charge was dismissed by the Iowa Court.

Abdi’s rap sheet contained incidents starting from 2004. On February 2 of that year, he was sentenced to 90 days in jail, a year of probation, and a fine of $1000 after providing false information to a police officer and for buying liquor below the age limit. He was only 18 at that time.

In Minnesota on June 1, 2005, Abdi was charged with credit card fraud and sentenced to 200 days in prison with two years of probation and a $500 fine. He also has a number of traffic violations.

Abdi’s criminal history was brought to light some weeks ago in a British tabloid. The actor responded by saying that he made mistakes in order to satisfy some of his friends. The mistakes shaped who he is now, and that he had already paid the price for his actions. Little did he know that those mistakes called for a check-in interview with customs officials years later.

This week’s hearing is standard procedure and Abdi may only be asked to demonstrate that he is admissible into the U.S. It is unlikely that the BAFTA winner would be deported since the agency usually only does that in serious cases.

Before winning the role of Abduwali Muse in Captain Phillips, Abdi worked as a limousine driver and also sold mobile phones in the 24 Mall in Minneapolis.

  • Christopher Walken Supercut Features 36 Years Of Dancing In Movies

Christopher Walken has already proven his versatility in acting by starring in over a hundred movies since the start of his career. He has also played a number of lead roles in plays, such as Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, and Hamlet. Die-hard fans of Walken may have also noticed that the actor is a smooth dancer as well.

Now, thanks to Huffington Post’s Ben Craw, we can marvel at Walken’s smooth, sassy, and groovy dance moves from 57 of his movies from 1977 until 2013. It also helps that the supercut was created to the 1990 dance hit Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now) by C+C Music Factory.

The dancing supercut features Walken in movies such as The Deer Hunter (1977), Puss in Boots (1988), Batman Returns (1992), Pulp Fiction (1994), Sleepy Hollow (1999), Catch Me If You Can (2002), Hairspray (2007), and The Power of Few (2013).

Walken’s dance moves may be credited to the fact that he once trained in dancing at the Washington Dance Studio. That or he just has the right amount of swag to pull off all those dance moves.

Walken has been showing off his dance skills since the 70’s, but his dance moves were put under the spotlight in 2001 with the release of Fatboy Slim’s music video for Weapon of Choice, which was directed by Spike Jonze. The actor helped in directing the music video that showed him dancing throughout the lobby of the Los Angeles Mariott Hotel.

Remember This? Fatboy Slim: Weapon Of Choice

He was approached by Jonze and was asked to do a dance routine based on his 1981 movie, Pennies from Heaven. The video won the Best Short Form Video in the 2002 Grammy Awards, and it also won six awards at the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards.

With Walken’s jaw-dropping display of talent, he might want to think of joining Dancing with the Stars and showing everyone what real dancing is all about.

  • Liam Neeson Saves Dog From Teenagers In Central Park

Liam Neeson turned into a real-life superhero when he saved a dog from a group of teenagers. The Taken actor was jogging in Central Park when he heard a woman calling for help and shouting at some boys who were said to be stoning a stray dog to death.

An eyewitness said that Neeson changed his direction and immediately charged towards the three teenagers who had cornered the dog against a garbage bin. The dog was in pain and was clearly terrified of the punks who were hurting him. The 61-year-old actor then confronted the thugs and told them to stop what they were doing or else he would beat the crap out of them.

Neeson and his threat did not intimidate the boys, and they told him to mind his own business. The boys then continued to hurt the dog. Again, the actor warned the boys to “back off – or else!”

After the second warning, one of the boys said, “Yeah, okay man. We’re out of here” and they retreated and left the scene quickly. The actor thought that he scared the boys with his threats and stern demeanor. However, it was not Neeson’s heroic act that made the boys scurry away. Instead, they were scared by the sight of a cop who was approaching the scene from behind Neeson.

Neeson shook his head in disappointment and slowly approached the scared dog to stroke it while the cop tended to its injuries. The cop then thanked the actor and said, “I’ll take it from here, sir.”

The actor is said to have been offered the amount of $20 million to come back and reprise his character as the protective father, Bryan Mills. on the third installment of the action film Taken, which is reported to hit theaters in 2015. Production is scheduled to start this month.

  • Robert Pattinson’s New Film “Life” Gains Oscar Buzz

Robert Pattinson, the 27-year-old Twilight star and ex to Kristen Stewart, just might have landed the role of his career. In Pattinson’s new film Life, he plays Dennis Stock, a photographer hired on to a traveling photo shoot with legendary actor James Dean (played by Dane DeHaan). Set in 1955, the film focuses on the real-life friendship between the photographer and the actor as they travel together across the United States.

E! news reports that Robert looks happy while on set, sporting dark, slick hair and a 3-piece suit for most of filming, while laughing and playing around with costar Dane — perhaps striking up their own real life bromance? In between takes, the buddy actors rode on a motorcycle together and joked with crew members.

According to Indiewire, Pattinson’s role in Life has serious Oscar potential. The blog, famous for its predictions, is claiming Robert could be a best supporting actor candidate alongside Johnny Depp, Josh Brolin, and Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul.

“Since Twilight, Robert Pattinson has had nothing but praise from critics,” adds a report from EntertainmentWise. The site also speculates that Robert’s break-up with Kristen Stewart was a good move for his movie career, saying the offers have been “pouring in” for Rob ever since the split.

Robert’s upcoming films also include The Rover, out in July, and Map to the Stars, starring alongside Julianne Moore and Carrie Fisher.

  • Liam Neeson Talks About Natasha Richardson’s Death

Liam Neeson’s wife, Natasha Richardson, died almost five years ago from a head injury she got from a skiing accident in Quebec, Canada. The official cause of death was reported to be epidural hematoma due to the impact on her head when she fell. Richardson was 45.

In an interview with Anderson Cooper, Neeson, 61, said that his wife’s death never seemed real, even up to now. He says that he still thinks his wife is going to show up whenever he hears doors opening in their New York home.

The “Taken” star recalls the events that happened in the hospital where Richardson was admitted after the accident. Doctors gave Neeson the harrowing news that his wife was brain dead. The couple had made a pact that they would pull the plug if ever one of them was left in a vegetative state. Neeson kept his wife alive to give enough time for their friends and family to bid farewell.

Neeson also mentioned that three of Richardson’s organs – her liver, kidneys, and heart – were donated to three separate individuals who are alive today because of her.

Neeson and Richardson had been together since 1994 and have two sons together. The death of his wife took its toll on him. He says that the grief takes over like a wave and makes him unstable. “It passes and it becomes more infrequent, but I still get it sometimes,” the actor told Cooper.

The interview also led up to the actor’s upcoming film entitled Non Stop wherein the actor plays a U.S. air marshal who receives threatening messages while on board an airplane. Neeson also expressed that he may not take action hero roles any longer, as he feels a bit embarrassed fighting guys on screen at his age.

Coopers interview with Neeson will be broadcasted on Sunday, February 23, on 60 Minutes.

  • Brett Rossi: Porn Actress Engaged To Charlie Sheen

Former “Two and a Half Men” TV star Charlie Sheen proposed to former adult film actress Brett Rossi in Hawaii, the day after Valentine’s Day. The newly engaged couple was seen being very affectionate with each other while strolling down the beach.

The 48-year-old Sheen whisked away his 24-year-old fiancée in a private jet to Hawaii to spend some quality time together on Valentine’s Day. According to Rossi, they both watched the sunrise early in the morning, after which Sheen got down on one knee and popped the question.

The couple both took to Twitter to showcase their blissful vacation photos as well as announce the happy moment. Sheen’s publicist Jeff Ballard confirmed the engagement to People Magazine and Rossi also spoke to E! regarding the details of the proposal. The photos included a picture of the engagement ring, which clearly showed a sizable rock although no specifics have been released about it.

If the wedding goes through, this will be Sheen’s fourth marriage. His first was with Donna Peele, to whom he was married from 1995 to 1996. They had their marriage annulled after the divorce, making Sheen a two-time married man on paper. His second marriage was in 2002 with film actress Denise Richards, which lasted four years. Their divorce was highly publicized due to a messy custody dispute over their two daughters. Sheen’s alcohol and drug abuse only added more attention to the divorce. In 2008 he married Brooke Mueller with whom he has twin sons. After divorcing in 2010, they are currently embroiled in a bitter custody dispute over their children.

Rossi, whom Sheen fondly calls “Scottie”, started publicly dating the actor last November. Photos of the two lovebirds kissing in Cabo San Lucas surfaced around that time, as well as a picture of Sheen’s “gag proposal” to Rossi in Reykjavik, Iceland on New Year’s Day. No date has been set for their wedding as of press time.

  • Shia LaBeouf Hides From Spotlight With A Brown Paper Bag

This past weekend, Shia LaBeouf sported a tuxedo accented with a brown paper bag over his head when he walked the red carpet at the Berlin Film Festival. The actor’s brown paper bag was customized with two holes to see with and bore the words “I AM NOT FAMOUS ANYMORE” written in large, black ink.

These words seem to be LaBeouf’s only message to the world, as he has been tweeting only this phrase nearly every day since mid-January. Contrary to what his tweets say, the actor has actually been in the spotlight a lot recently, since admitting to plagiarism allegations last December.

LaBeouf plagiarized the work of author Daniel Clowes but did eventually apologize for not crediting Clowes properly. Clowes’ graphic novel Justin M. Damiano, contained the art  that LaBeouf used as inspiration for his film, “HowardCantour.com”.

LaBeouf has since tweeted his apology and even had the words “I am sorry Daniel Clowes” sky-written above Los Angeles. He also went on to announce that he was “retiring from all public life” in a tweet published on January 10.

The 27-year-old actor was in Berlin attending the premiere of his latest film, “Nymphomaniac – Volume 1”, directed by Lars von Trier.

At the press conference to promote the new film, LaBeouf was asked what it was like to be involved in a movie packed with so many sex scenes. The former lead actor of the ‘Transformers’ movies responded slowly with a quote, pausing to take a drink of water in between, “When seagulls follow the trawler, it is because they think sardines will be thrown in the sea.” He then stood up and briskly walked away from the panel.

The quote is credited to Eric Cantona, French soccer star, in Cantona’s statement in 1995 when he was convicted of assault.

  • Clint Eastwood Saves Man From Choking To Death

If you accidentally bite off more than you can chew, there’s one actor who you will definitely want around should you start choking: Clint Eastwood.

The legendary actor recently called on his powers of observation to save another man from choking at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. The incident occurred on the eve of the golf event at dinner.

“I looked in his eyes and saw that look of panic people have when they see their life passing before their eyes,” says Eastwood.

The man with his “life passing before his eyes” was none other than the Pro-Am tournament director, Steve John. John “looked pretty bad.”

Well, when you accidentally swallow a large piece of food things are going to look bad. Luckily Eastwood knew what to do, quickly performing the Heimlich maneuver on the hapless John.

“I gave him three good jolts, and that got it out. And then I made him drink a big glass of water with a bunch of lemon squeezed in it.”

Eastwood admits that he’s never actually used the maneuver before. That’s right: Eastwood saved someone’s life despite actually never having attempted to do so before. Pretty awesome.

What led to this bizarre scenario of a golf director being rescued by a largely retired action star?

John says, “We were just talking. A piece of cheese went in my mouth, and suddenly I couldn’t breathe. It was as bad as it could have been.”

You see, kids? This is why your mother always nags you about the whole, “Don’t talk with your mouth full.” Not only is it typically a visual gross-out, but it can lead to you choking to death. Unfortunately for many of us in such a scary situation, Clint Eastwood won’t be around to save the day.

“Clint came up behind me, and he knew exactly what to do. He lifted me right off the ground. He’s strong! The cheese popped out, and I was fine. Clint saved my life.”

It was the tournament director’s good luck that the 83-year-old was there as chairman of the Monterey Peninsula Foundation to present the trophy to the tournament winner. Maybe they’ll invite him back next year…just in case he’s needed.

  • Tom Sizemore Gets High And Makes Racist Remarks [Video]

A video showing embattled actor Tom Sizemore high on hard drugs and making offensive remarks against Mexican men has emerged.

Sizemore is a 52-year-old veteran actor who starred in movies like Heat, Black Hawk Down and Saving Private Ryan.

On Wednesday, a video emerged on YouTube showing Sizemore smoking what appears to be crystal methamphetamine in the bathroom of his LA home. At one point in the homemade video, Sizemore smokes a substance wrapped in foil paper with a glass pipe. According to sources, that substance was heroin.

The actor has had a long history of using hard drugs, which he says started when he was 15. Sizemore’s  3-year marriage to actress Maeve Quinlan ended in divorce in 1999 because of his drug problems. In 2003, he was also convicted of assault and battery against his girlfriend, Heidi Fleiss, the notorious “Hollywood Madam”. Shortly after, he was sentenced to 7 months in  jail and 4 months in a drug treatment program for failing drug tests while on probation. Sizemore has since had a series of legal and personal problems stemming from his drug addiction.

In 2010, he appeared on VH1’s Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew and was able to stay clean for awhile. This new video, however, shows a man that has clearly succumbed to his addictions once again.

Sizemore seems to also have a problem with Mexicans. In the video, he can be heard saying he hates Mexican men because they “stink, they’re are all hairy, brown and smell like ‘f***ing fertilizer.”

‘They just f***ing try and tax you and f***ing beat your a* and kill ya,  he continued.

The source of the video said: “The world should see this video because then maybe Tom will realize he’s killing himself with drugs and clean himself up for good.”

  • Tatyana Ali Profoundly Impacted by James Avery

Tatyana Ali reflected about the death of her Fresh Prince of Bel-Air costar James Avery, who passed away on December 31st at the age of 68. Tatyana was just a little girl when she first appeared on the hit TV show back in 1990 along with Avery, but she remembers the impact his presence had on her to this very day.

Ali played the role of Ashley Banks on the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air–the youngest of Philip Banks’ children. James Avery played Philip Banks. This no doubt added to the impact of Avery’s death on Ali. Avery was–at least for a good portion of her life–a father figure to her.

Tatyana Ali expressed her grief and her overwhelming appreciation for James Avery and the vital role he once played in her life via two Twitter messages. Her expressions likely served as a means of processing the sudden and unexpected loss.

James Avery is survived by his wife, Barbara, as well as by his mother and a stepson. In addition he is survived by the young people who starred alongside him on the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Tatyana Ali is just one of those young people–Will Smith is another–mourning the actor’s untimely passing, but also profoundly impacted by his influence on her life.

  • Steven Seagal For Governor Of Arizona?

Action movie star Steven Seagal has hinted that he may run for Arizona governor.

Seagal is an action film star, writer, producer, guitarist, artists and reserve deputy sheriff. His first film was “Above the Law (1988)”. He became famous in 1992 when “Under Siege” was released where he acted as Navy SEAL counter-terrorist expert. To date, he has been featured in more than 22 films.

The “Under Siege” actor stated that he would “remotely consider” the move to become a politician when he spoke to Phoenix News. “It was kind of a joke, but I suppose I would remotely consider it,” said the martial arts actor.

Asked what his priority would be should he become governor of Arizona, he said that it would be to combat terrorism and secure the borders.

Seagal made the remark at an event where he was promoting “Steven Seagal-Lawman: Maricopa County”, a Reelz Channel reality series. In the series, Seagal teams up with Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio. The show was shot in Arizona County.

Seagal also defended his co-star, Arpaio who has come under fire in the recent times for racial profiling. “Is Joe Arpaio a racist? No, he’s not. And I’m not going to say I don’t think he’s not, he’s not,” said Seagal.

Seagal joins the likes of singer Clay Aiken who recently said he is actively considering joining a senatorial race.

  • Steven Seagal Talks About Running For Governor

One of Hollywood’s toughest action fighters is thinking about running for governor.

Steven Seagal, 61, mentioned the idea in an interview while talking about his reality show “Steven Seagal – Lawman: Maricopa County.”

The Arizona-based TV series, which airs on the Reelz Channel, is a team effort between he and the “toughest sheriff in America”, Joe Arpaio.

Recently, he has confided in Arpaio, a Maricopa County Sheriff, about taking a shot at entering the race for Arizona’s highest elected office.

Seagal’s background in working as a deputy in New Mexico, Texas and Louisiana has given him a head start to some of the agendas he would push forward.

Seagal is very passionate about illegal immigration and he makes it clear that increasing border patrol would be one of his main focuses while in office.

His interests in running for governor seem very much similar to one of Hollywood’s former action hero, Arnold Schwarzenegger, who previously was the governor of California from 2003 to 2011.

Yet, the “I’ll be back” actor isn’t the only movie star turned politician or one who has attempted to be in the political arena for that matter.

    Others include:

    • Ronald Regan- He was the president of the Screen Actors Guild but then went on to serve as President of The U.S. in 1981 to 1989.
    • Shirley Temple- The famous child star from the 1930’s ended her career as the ambassador to Ghana and Czechoslovakia.
    • Jerry Springer- He was the former Democratic mayor of Cincinnati, Ohio before becoming a TV presenter.
    • Howard Stern- The big-time radio presenter ran for governor of New York in 1994.

Maybe the U.S. will see yet another actor take on the role of governor someday.

So, what do you think about Seagal’s proposition?
