Pippa Middleton Engagement Rumors Not True

Pippa Middleton apparently isn’t engaged, as various media outlets have reported throughout the past several hours. She and longtime banker boyfriend Nico Jackson aren’t making imminent plans to wed–at least not yet. The rumor mill started spinning on Wednesday morning about a proposal that supposedly took place in India, in full view of the Taj Mahal. The rumor also claimed the two would get married some time during 2014.

Originally reported by Us Weekly, it’s a bit uncertain where they got their information. They reported that both Pippa Middleton and Nico Jackson became engaged earlier in December and had been celebrating their engagement privately since that time.

This isn’t the first time that rumors of Pippa’s engagement have made news, however. It was reported to have taken place a few months ago as well.

It is interesting to note that when other media outlets caught very recent photos of both Pippa and Nico returning from a trip, strolling through Heathrow International Airport, there was no sign of an engagement ring on her finger.

When and if Pippa Middleton and Nico Jackson decide to become engaged, there will likely be lots of fanfare, seeing as how she is the sister of Kate Middleton. It will certainly be interesting to see if Kate Middleton serves as her little sister’s matron-of-honor if any such wedding ever takes place.

Pippa Middleton and Nico Jackson reportedly want to do some extensive traveling long before they decide to settle down and get married. And why not? They’re young and have plenty of money. As anyone with children knows, the time to go on exotic travels is well before children join the mix.

Kudos to Pippa and Nico on their sort-of plan. And congratulations on their non-engagement. Perhaps one day in the future media outlets will correctly issue word of an officially confirmed engagement.
