Motorola is letting people splash water on their phones at trade shows.

The Motorola Defy is an Android smartphone with a touchscreen, large display and access to the thousands of apps in the Android marketplace.

The device has a Corning Gorilla Glass display for impact and scratch resistance. At a trade show today, Motorola placed the Defy in three different test chambers. One scattered sand on the phone. Another dumped pocket change on it. A third splashed it with water. Consumers could put the device through the paces and see its durability.
