Marianne Faithfull claims that her ex-boyfriend Jean de Breiteuil is Jim Morrison’s murderer.

Faithfull said that she and de Breiteuil, who was a drug dealer, had visited Paris in 1971 and that de Breiteuil had told her he was going to Jim’s apartment for a visit.

Faithfull admitted that she felt uneasy about the situation but wasn’t exactly sure if Breiteuil had intended to kill Morrison or if it was just an accident.

“I could intuitively feel trouble,” Faithfull said. “I thought, I’ll take a few Tuinal and I won’t be there. And he went to see Jim Morrison and killed him.”

“I mean, I’m sure it was an accident. Poor bastard,” Faithfull clarified. “The smack was too strong? Yeah. And he died. And I didn’t know anything about this. Anyway, everybody connected to the death of this poor guy is dead now. Except me.”

She continued to talk about drug abuse and brought up Amy Winehouse, who was the same age as Morrison when she died of substance abuse.

“Amy was very, very wary of me,” Faithfull said. “She knew that I knew and she didn’t want me to say anything. There’s a level of narcissism, which is all mixed up with self-hatred. I know it well. It’s like a glass wall between you and the world, so that all the love that everybody pours onto you, you don’t feel it. But I can’t think what I could have done apart from take her and [shouts] shake her! ‘You stupid little c—! Wake up!'”

Faithfull was once a successful musician, but her success was overshadowed by her own drug abuse.

After overcoming her drug abuse, Faithfull continued to make music, but was never as popular as she was in the 70’s.

Her latest album, Give My Love to London, will be released in September 2014 and Faithfull will be embarking on a 12-month 50th Anniversary tour beginning in October.
