LL Cool J hosts the Grammy Awards Sunday night for the second year in a row. During preparations for the show this weekend he dished about getting ready as well as about Justin Bieber’s recent arrest. On Saturday night LL Cool J joined Hennessy in hosting a pre-Grammy dinner at The Bazaar at SLS Hotel in West Hollywood.

“Just being a part of it is great,” he said about the Grammys during an interview with Us Weekly. “I mean, winning is always going to be the best. I mean, nothing tops winning! But it’s always fun being involved and it’s fun hosting. This is a good time.”

The 46-year-old dished about Bieber, too, saying, “At the end of the day, I mean, he’s 19 years old. So, you gotta cut the guy some slack you know, he’s not like a 35-year-old with penny loafers and khaki’s on and you know, dropping his kids off at school and drag racing in a Lambo — that would be a little different! But I think we just gotta remember what we were doing at 19.”

The NCIS: Los Angeles star believes that with some strong support from his family and mentors he can get back on track and continue making music.

“Just be merciful, and hopefully he’ll learn from his mistakes,” he said. “I am not one to really pounce on people. I’m all for justice, don’t get me wrong, but I am not one to pounce on people.”

Will you be tuning in to watch LL Cool J host the 2014 Grammy Awards Sunday night at 8 PM? It airs on CBS stations and will feature some of the best musical acts of the whole year. Former Beatles Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are both scheduled to perform, but sources say they won’t sing together.

Just a couple of hours ago, LL Cool J tweeted his excitement during the pre-Grammy Award festivities.

It doesn’t get a lot more exciting than posing for a photo with Paul McCartney. Who doesn’t want to switch places with LL Cool J right now?
