Jenny McCarthy starts her new gig at “The View” today, and she’s reportedly bringing along some moral support for the big day.

The 40-year old actress and talk show host, who has been dating actor and former New Kid Donnie Wahlberg since earlier this summer, may have reason to be a bit nervous this week as she joins the seasoned ladies of the show. McCarthy has been the subject of quite a bit of speculation since it was announced that she would be taking over for Joy Behar; as a vocal activist against vaccinations–on the basis that they cause autism–it’s been stated by reputable news sources that she is a “dangerous” person to give a public platform to.

McCarthy has experience in the talk show world, however, and if she clashes with her co-hosts a little, execs might believe that’s a good thing. Having Wahlberg with her for the first day might prove a little distracting, though, if their first talk show experience is anything to go by. The couple met on her show back in March and McCarthy blogged about it the next day after they flirted outrageously on camera.

“Now, I want to talk about what happened between Donnie Wahlberg and me,” McCarthy wrote. “Let’s just say we visually give “50 Shades of Grey” a run for its money. It gets steamy. I mean like really steamy. Being turned on by a guy is always fun but to have it legitimately happen to you on TV is to be turned back into a 12-year-old. By the time we get into the groundbreaking interview, my face turns fifty shades of RED.”
