E3 2012 doesn’t officially begin until tomorrow morning, but many of the big players will be holding their press conferences today. Ubisoft is one of the more interesting companies to watch if only for their unintentionally hilarious press conferences. It seems that the company had a surprise in store for us in the form of a new Splinter Cell title.

Thanks to the folks over at Gamekyo, screens from Splinter Cell Blacklist have been leaked onto the Internet for all to see. Unfortunately, all we know now is what we can get from the screens, but Gamekyo was able to confirm that Blacklist was coming to PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. The previous title in the series, Splinter Cell Conviction, only made it to Xbox 360 and PC.

So what do the screens tell us about Sam Fisher’s latest outing? It seems that Ubisoft is back pedaling on what they did with Conviction. Sam Fisher appears to no longer be hiding in plain sight as he moves through crowds to take down those who did him wrong. It appears that he is instead back to his old tricks wearing camouflage and his trademark night-vision goggles.

As for setting, it looks like the game will be taking place in the Middle East – big surprise there. Still, it could be what fans have been wanting after I know a few of them were a little disappointed with the urban stealth missions that made up Conviction.

Expect to see Splinter Cell Blacklist at Ubisoft’s press conference today at 3 p.m. PST/6 p.m. EST. It will be broadcasting live from Facebook and other livestreaming platforms.

Let’s take a look at some of the leaked screens and try to piece together what exactly is going on:
