Christina Applegate made a lot of people say “Whaaaat?!” earlier this week when she admitted on Watch What Happens Live! that she stood up Brad Pitt in 1989.

Just for the record and in case you’re younger than 30, Brad Pitt was widely considered at the peak of hotness around that time.

It seems Christina Applegate and Brad Pitt attended the 1989 MTV Movie Awards together, but she ditched him for another guy.

Watch What Happens Live! host Andy Cohen grilled a clearly unsuspecting Christina Applegate about the incident.

Andy Cohen said, “There was much talk of a date you went on with Brad Pitt to the MTV Movie Awards in 1989 in which you reported that you ditched mid-date, it says you ditched him for another guy.”

I love these dudes!!!!

He added, “My question is who was the other guy you ditched Brad Pitt for?”

The Vacation star was playing a round of “Plead the Fifth”, but had already used her “fifth” on the previous question when she was asked which of her male co-stars was most well-endowed.

Christina Applegate coyly asked, “How many fifths do I get? I have to say it?”

After a pause in which her conscience seemed to be battling with the situation, she declared, “I don’t have to do nothing.”

Andy Cohen did extract some info from Christina Applegate on the mystery man. The man wasn’t an actor, but was well-known to the public.

No clue. Do you have any guesses as to who Christina Applegate’s mystery man was? He would have to have been worth ditching Brad Pitt for.

Also, do you think Christina Applegate still feels a little guilty for ditching him?
