Christina Aguilera and fiance Matt Rutler are the proud parents of a beautiful baby girl, born on Saturday August 16th at a hospital in Los Angeles. A rep for the singer and past coach on The Voice has confirmed the birth. Mom and baby are said to be doing just fine.

This is the second time in the birthing room for Christina Aguilera. Son Max, from her previous marriage to Jordan Bratman, is now six years old.

It was this past February when Aguilera announced her pregnancy–just a week after announcing she had become engaged to Matt Rutler.

The almost-dual announcement was very exciting–not only for her and her fiance–but for her fans from The Voice as well.

Summer pregnancies can be difficult, given the extra heat and humidity. That didn’t seem to be the case for Christina, however.

And she made sure Max knew he was still her main man.

This pregnancy definitely didn’t put a damper on Christina Aguilera’s profession either. She spent time in the recording studio just a few days before this baby’s birth.

Pregnancy definitely didn’t keep the singer from her lifestyle of living on the edge. She made time to pose nude for V magazine.

“As a woman, I’m proud to embrace my body through all stages of life, staying fearless and confident in surrendering to the unknowns the future has in store,” she said at the time of the nude photo shoot.

If Christina Aguilera managed to do all that while pregnant with her baby girl, just imagine what she’ll do now that the baby is here. Hopefully she will take some time off and simply be a mom to both Max and her as-yet-unnamed daughter, and maybe enjoy a little down time for herself.

Is that even possible, however, for a mom with a new baby and a 6-year-old?
