Brooke Hogan has come out in support of her father, WWE legend Hulk Hogan, after his contract was terminated over a string of racial slurs.

Brooke Hogan herself was as the center of the now-infamous conversation in which her dad was caught on tape saying, “I’d rather if she was going to f– some n–er, I’d rather have her marry an 8-foot-tall n–er worth a hundred million dollars! Like a basketball player! I guess we’re all a little racist. F–king n—-r.”

After Hogan’s statements were made public, the WWE tossed him out on his ear.

“WWE terminated its contract with Terry Bollea (aka Hulk Hogan),” the company said in a statement Friday morning. “WWE is committed to embracing and celebrating individuals from all backgrounds as demonstrated by the diversity of our employees, performers and fans worldwide.”

Hulk Hogan himself apologized.

“Eight years ago I used offensive language during a conversation. It was unacceptable for me to have used that offensive language; there is no excuse for it; and I apologize for having done it.”

“This is not who I am,” the statement continues. “I believe very strongly that every person in the world is important and should not be treated differently based on race, gender, orientation, religious beliefs or otherwise. I am disappointed with myself that I used language that is offensive and inconsistent with my own beliefs.”

While Brooke Hogan has come to her father’s defense, how does she personally feel about his slurs? The recording is eight years old, and Brooke has since been engaged to and broken up with Dallas Cowboys center Phil Costa (who is white). Brooke Hogan’s poem about her dad, which she posted on Facebook, may offer some clues.

“If you knew the dad I knew, you’d know his tender heart,” Brooke insists. “Cause If you knew the dad I knew, you’d know he raised me well. He taught me folks are so much more than shades could ever tell.”

“It makes me sad to see my dad defeated and so tired,” Brooke admits. “Because I know my father,
I can promise this — Just like you and I, things we don’t mean can sometimes slip.”
