Britney Spears is living the single life!

According to Fox411, Spears has reportedly split from her boyfriend of 18 months, David Lucado.

The split comes not long after an alleged video of Lucado cheating made its rounds through Hollywood. The video, thought to be shot in early August, reportedly shows Lucado making out with another woman and dancing around in someone’s living room.

Apparently, Spears’ father, Jamie Spears, was told about the tape which he purchased for a large amount of money. He then made Britney aware of the tape, which prompted her to immediately break it off. If the video is leaked, Jamie plans to sue Lucado for copyright infringement.

The 32-year-old mother of two took to her personal Twitter account to share the news. “Ahhhh the single life!” she tweeted.

Spears’ rep later confirmed the split to Fox411. “Yes, she’s single,” her rep confirmed.

The couple started dating in the spring of 2013, not long before Spears’ began her Las Vegas tour. In November, Spears opened up about her relationship, saying that she adored Lucado.

“He’s just a simple man. I adore him. He’s really funny and he’s really passionate. I love the fact that anything he’s involved in he’s passionate about and it’s contagious,” she told Entertainment Tonight at the time.

According to TMZ, Lucado is hoping that he and Spears can work through this. “David is very, very in love with Britney. This is unfortunate and he hopes that it all works out,” Lucado’s rep told the gossip site.
