    Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade have finally set the date to tie the knot but are keeping everything else about their wedding plans under tight security.

    Soon after their engagement was made public, reports of Wade having fathered a child with another woman while he and Union were on a break from their relationship surfaced and was said to have caused the couple a lot of stress. They saw it through and are now determined to stage the most private celeb wedding this year.

    The leaked wedding invite tell us the wedding is set for August 30, 10:30pm in an undisclosed location somewhere in Miami, FL. Guests’ identification will be doubly verified, first at the pick-up location and then at the venue itself, and they are all required to bring photo IDs.

    Now, Union and Wade are also asking their guests one other small favor: to not bring phones and cameras to the ceremony.  Not only is this couple mum about the wedding plans, they are apparently doing their best to limit any chance of a leak on the proceedings too.

    It seems Union is also being cautious about protecting her financial assests. Wade, who incidentally, has re-signed for a two-year contract with the Miami Heat worth $40 million, had been asked by Union to sign a pre-nup because she felt the need “…to protect her stuff.” Union’s net worth is a reported $16 million — significantly less than that of her soon-to-be husband. She shared this much herself in an interview on Arsenio Hall soon after news of their engagement leaked earlier this year

  • Ellen DeGeneres And Portia De Rossi In Therapy After Divorce And Cheating Rumors

    Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi are now in therapy, sources say. The two have been the target of divorce rumors, and an insider says that De Rossi thinks DeGeneres had an affair with their mutual friend right before she entered rehab in May.

    According to reports, De Rossi checked into rehab to receive treatment for her alcohol and drug use. They had a fight because of DeGeneres’ alleged cheating.

    “Portia hadn’t been happy for a while and was drinking and isolating [herself], and Ellen confronted her,” the insider said. De Rossi said that DeGeneres was the one who drove her to drink, saying that she does not love her anymore. The statement affected DeGeneres and she “screamed at Portia to get out.” The source also said that DeGeneres has a domineering personality, while De Rossi is passive and never complains.

    For the past few weeks, there were reports that the couple will soon be divorcing. Amidst the cheating and divorce rumors, it seems that the couple is doing their best to save their relationship through therapy.

    “It’s going to take a lot for Portia to trust Ellen again. They kept up with the therapy after Portia got out of rehab, but they still have a long way to go,” said the source.     The source said that DeGeneres loves De Rossi “more than anything in the world” and she wants to ensure that she is physically and emotionally healthy. She is supporting her wife’s recovery and has given up alcohol. DeGeneres is glad that her partner is out of rehab and she is enjoying their time together.

    DeGeneres and De Rossi were married in 2008. According to reports, they will be renewing their wedding vows next month in celebration of their sixth anniversary.

    So, has Christina Milian hooked up with Lil Wayne? Or is this all part of a publicity stunt? Time will tell for sure, but here is what we know so far:

    Within the month after Christina moved out of the home she shared with ex-fiance, Jas Prince, Christina was seen in the company of Lil Wayne at several events.  This in itself shouldn’t cause much stir since Christina is signed under Wayne’s Young Money label, and the two are working on releasing her long overdue awaited fourth album together.

    Except, Christina and Lil Wayne kept each other cozy company at the BET Awards afterparty where they were also photographed leaving together. This has rekindled old rumors about their relationship being more than just work. There is even a suggestion that Lil Wayne may be among the reasons for the Christina–Jas break up.

    Last Wednesday, the pair was seen holding hands at the ESPY Awards which got TMZ curious. They asked Christina point blank if she was dating Lil Wayne. The former The Voice social media correspondent responded by saying it was all business and that they “…make music together.”

    She did, however, hint that it is not impossible for them to hook up. When she was further prompted to answer if she would ever date a manager or producer, she responded, “You never know..”

    On the other hand, there are reports that say there really is nothing going on between the two. This is apparently all a gimmick to get Christina in the news prior to the release of her new album. Lil Wayne is said to have employed this same trick when Young Money was about to release a Nicki Minaj album a few years back. Besides, he is still supposed to be engaged to Dhea Sodano.

    Again, time will tell. The only thing that is certain is they got people talking.

  • Jada Pinkett Smith Shows Support For Teenage Rape Victim Via Facebook

    A 16-year-old girl named Jada was the victim of rape and kids have been spreading the incident on their phones and social media. “Everybody knows. And everybody’s texting me are you OK? You’re going to be OK, and I was like alright.”

    Now, actress Jada Pinkett-Smith wants justice for 16-year-old Jada. The 42-year-old actress posted a note on Facebook with the hashtag #justiceforjada. “This could be you, me, or any woman or girl that we know. What do we plan to do about this ugly epidemic? #justiceforjada.”

    According to Jada, she passed out during a party after consuming a drink that she believed was spiked. She was then undressed and raped. Her attackers also videotaped the incident. Furthermore, they took pictures of her in different poses. Jada said that she did not know that anything happened to her until pictures and videos started showing up online.

    “I had no control, I didn’t tell anyone to take off my clothes and do what they did to me,” she said.

    Right after her photos were spread online, students at her school and people online started bullying her and using the hashtag #jadapose.

    Jada’s mother said, “No one’s daughter deserved this. No human being deserved this.” Though rape victims are not required to identify themselves in news reports, Jada said that there’s no point in hiding her identity. “Everybody has already seen my face and my body, but that’s not what I am and who I am.”

    Houston Police are still investigating Jada’s case.

    Pinkett-Smith is not the only celebrity showing her support for Jada. Mia Farrow also showed her support by urging parents to teach their children about how serious sexual assault is. “Parents & Teachers it’s time to step up! Teach boys to respect each other and all girls and women #JusticeforJada,” she wrote.

    Amidst all the controversy she is facing, Jada says that she hopes her story will bring her justice.

  • Neil Patrick Harris Spits On Woman During ‘Hedwig’ Performance, Audience Shocked

    Neil Patrick Harris was so into his character during his performance in Hedwig and the Angry Inch on Thursday that he spat water on a woman in the audience.

    According to a source, the incident happened halfway through the performance. Harris was in full drag costume and leaned down towards the audience and asked the woman “Are you drunk?” The woman waved her hands in the air in reply and the audience assumed that it was all part of the act. Harris then continued to address the woman and reprimanded her for taking pictures. He then said, “I hate you” and walked away.

    Later, Harris was supposed to spit water at the audience as part of the performance, but he spat on the woman instead. “It was all a bit frosty and awkward. His anger was spectacular, especially the ‘I hate you’ bit. The audience went into a stunned silence. You could cut the atmosphere with a knife!” a source said.

    Reports do not indicate how the woman reacted after Harris spat on her face.

    A representative of the show said that in every performance, there is an element of audience interaction. They also said that the incident that happened is “all in character.”

    However, many still think that Harris was serious when he spat on the woman. Others say that he was bothered that the woman was taking pictures in the middle of the show. Taking pictures is prohibited during Broadway shows and other productions.

    This is not the first time that Harris was inappropriate during a performance. According to reports, Harris was the center of attention for swearing at an audience member. However, many people also understand that Hedwig and the Angry Inch consists of lots of improvisation from the actors.

  • Jurassic Park 4: Animatronic Raptor, Concept Art And Plot Details Revealed

    Jurassic World is currently filming and more details have been revealed regarding the long awaited sequel. On July 7, a picture of a raptor emerged. The picture revealed the dinosaur’s glassy yellow eyes and green skin.

    Movie director Colin Trevorrow said that the movie will feature practical effects, and the picture of the raptor proves just that. Instead of relying on CGI, the makers of the movie opted to use physical dinosaur animatronics. This is also more effective for the actors as they don’t have to scream at nothing during shooting.

    In the fourth installment, the villain is a mutant dinosaur that was born out of a combination of dinosaur breeds. A report said that the velociraptor will somehow come to the rescue this time around.

    The movie’s stars also took time to visit the Today Show last week to give viewers a taste of what to expect in the upcoming movie. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard teased the audience. “The park has been around long enough where attendance has started to fall off a little bit. So they’ve decided to come up with a new attraction to bring even more people in. You’re never going to believe it, but it doesn’t go well,” Pratt said jokingly.

    The original director of the first two Jurassic Park movies, Steven Spielberg, also offered his advice to Trevorrow. “Words of wisdom, every day. He’ll send ideas and he’ll draw out ideas on pads of paper, and I’ll shoot them,” Trevorrow said. Fans of the Jurassic Park movies will be glad to know that Spielberg is still involved in the fourth installment.

    Other actors who will be appearing in the movie include Jake Johnson, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, BD Wong, and Irrfan Khan.

    Jurassic World is scheduled to hit theaters on June 12, 2015.

    Iggy Azalea’s single “Fancy” has been dominating the charts for few weeks now, and it looks like there’s no stopping the 24-year-old Australian hip-hop artist.

    Reports say that Azalea will be dropping a new video for her single featuring Rita Ora entitled “Black Widow.” The cover art for the upcoming video was just released by the two singers. The image showed the duo wearing matching red and black jumpsuits, and it seems to be inspired by the movie Kill Bill. Will the video have the two women doing Kung Fu and fighting with swords? Fans will just have to wait for the video to be released to find out what the image is all about.

    “The New Classic” album was released on April 21 this year and debuted top five on worldwide charts. Azalea is also the fourth solo female rapper to hit the top spot of the Hot 100 charts.

    Though Azalea and Ora said that the video will be released soon, there is no set date yet. Meanwhile, fans can enjoy other singles from the same album including “Work,” “Bounce,” “Change Your Life,” and “Fancy.”

    Prince Harry ended his relationship with Cressida Bonas this year. Recently, reports said that the prince is back in touch with his ex-girlfriend, TV presenter Caroline Flack.

    A source said that they are back in contact. “Harry likes to keep in touch with his old girlfriends and he knows Caroline is fun and discreet. In fact, someone mentioned his name the other day and Caroline got flustered and went bright red,” the source continued. Another source denied that the prince and Flack are back together.

    Prince Harry ended his relationship with Flack in 2009. Flack is now with music manager Jack Street, so it’s likely that the ex-couple are just friends.

    Prince Harry has been busy with his many duties. Just recently, he appeared with his brother Prince William at a Google Hangout live from Buckingham Palace for the Queen’s Young Leaders event. The two royals took time to take a group selfie with entrepreneur Jamal Edwards.

    There are also reports that Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, and Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, are trying to get Bonas and Prince Harry back together.     Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin announced their separation in March. Recently, however, they have been spotted spending time together. Is there a possibility of “conscious recoupling” for the two?

    On Saturday, Paltrow and Martin were spotted in the Hamptons with their children Apple and Moses. They dined at Bay Kitchen Bar in East Hampton and an eyewitness said that all looked well. “They were in good spirits and looked like a very happy family. Everyone seemed to be in a great mood and enjoyed the evening together” the eyewitness said.

    Another source said that the Paltrow and Martin have spent more time together now that they are separated than they did when they were still a couple.

    The question is, are they working on their relationship and getting back together? Or are they just spending time as a family for their children?

    On Sunday, Paltrow was spotted shopping with her 10-year-old daughter Apple. They spent their time checking items from local shops. Paltrow was wearing white denim shorts paired with a sheer white blouse. Apple wore blue denim cut-offs, and a grey shirt matched with a cardigan. She was wearing black lace-up boots.

    The mother and daughter spent their time walking around town. They also rode on Paltrow’s bright red Vespa.

    Reports also said that Martin was seen shopping in a sports store and ended up purchasing skateboards. He then met up with Paltrow and their children for a meal at Fierro’s Pizza. According to a witness, the couple looked happy to be together. “They were operating like a couple, and with the kids looked like a happy family.”

    A source said that Paltrow and Martin haven’t made a decision to get back together, but based on the time they are spending together the past weeks, it may be a possibility.

  • Apollo Nida Will Still Have To Deal With The Feds After Prison

    Apollo Nida, husband of Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks, has been sentenced to eight years in prison for fraud. According to recent reports, the federal government will be keeping an eye on Nida after he serves his eight-year sentence.

    Based on court documents, Nida will have to complete 100 hours of community service after his release. He also needs to cut his ties with all convicted felons and stay clear of places where alcohol and drugs are sold illegally. Furthermore, he is banned from carrying firearms and other weapons. He will also have to go to alcohol and drug treatment programs that he will need to pay for with his own money.

    The final probationary rule set for Nida is that he has to pay $150 monthly in restitution. He will also be subjected to random audits, and he will have to disclose all his finances to the authorities.

    Amidst all this, Parks is keeping herself busy and staying positive. She was not present during her husband’s sentencing. Kandi Burruss, Parks’ co-star in Real Housewives of Atlanta, said that her friend is doing a good job coping with everything that is happening around her.

  • Michael Vick Faces Protesters At Comedy Event; Can He Ever Redeem Himself?

    New York Jets quarterback Michael Vick went back to his hometown on Saturday in Newport News, Virginia for a football camp. A crowd of people gathered to welcome the 34-year-old athlete.

    James Johnson, a club director who has known Vick since he was a kid said, “I used to tell Mike even when things are going bad, the people down home, they still in your corner. There might be some days where you get booed, but you won’t get booed by nobody down here.”

    Vick was incarcerated for more than 500 days for running a dogfighting ring and lying about it. He was released in 2009. Since then, he has been trying to redeem himself. He helped build a football field in a Philadelphia neighborhood, and launched Christmas and Thanksgiving food drives. He also participates in anti-dog fighting campaigns.

    Though dog fighting is in the football player’s past, some are still protesting. One of the protesters, Rhonda Spataro said, “Michael Vick didn’t just fight dogs. He tortured, drowned, electrocuted, and beat them to death.”

    On Saturday, there were two groups outside The Strand Theatre where the Michael Vick Comedy Explosion took place. On one side were the protesters, and on the other were Vick’s supporters who organized a “Forgiveness Rally”.

    Bo Spataro, a protester, said that he’s not yet ready to forgive Vick. “I’ve seen nothing from him that shows a deal of remorse. I know he might’ve went to jail and paid some fines, but it doesn’t look like he’s sorry for anything other than getting caught,” he said.

    Comedian Robert Powell defended the football star and said that his dog fighting days are over and all the bad things that happened are in the past. “It’s time to let it go,” he said.

    Amidst all the controversy, Vick has accepted that his career will never be only about football. Many people still hate him for his past, and there is even a petition seeking to ban him from the Jets training camp.

    “How can I try to win over everybody in this world? Even if I didn’t go through what I went through, some people probably still wouldn’t like me for whatever reason,” said Vick.

    Despite Vick’s past, he’s still seen as a hero by many. Little boys were chanting his name over and over on Saturday, and his fans approached him to sign their jerseys and shirts.

    On July 8, Selena Gomez posted a screen capture of a message on her Instagram account. The message read, “I just wanna give you a hug and remind you how special you are.” Gomez accompanied the image with the caption, “That’s who you wanna wake up to. #promise.” The image didn’t show who the image was from, which leaves fans to speculate.

    Was the text message from her on-again, off-again boyfriend Justin Bieber? Or as was it from someone else? A few weeks ago, the pair was seen on several dates, but some reports say that the two had a big fight before the Fourth of July weekend.

    The couple had a falling out when Bieber hung out with Yovanna Ventura and Chantel Jeffries, his former girlfriends. Reports indicate that Bieber even went as far as asking the girls to join him for a threesome.




    Aside from her vague posts on Instagram, Gomez also liked some pictures of herself and her Behaving Badly co-star Nat Wolff. Comments on the pictures also urged Gomez to leave Bieber and be with someone who will treat her better.

    Another report said that Gomez’s family is urging her to go back to rehab. A source said that Gomez’s family and friends want her to go back to avoid being stressed. In January, Gomez entered rehab to work out her relationship issues, young adult issues, and work issues.

    Despite their troubled relationship, Bieber is reportedly still planning to spend Gomez’s birthday with her on July 22.

    Eva Mendes and everybody’s dream guy Ryan Gosling have been dating for three years. Recent reports say that Mendes, 40, is seven months pregnant with their first child – much to the dismay of Gosling’s hardcore fans.

    The couple met on the set of the 2012 movie The Place Beyond The Pines wherein they played parents to a baby boy.

    A source said that Mendes is ready for motherhood and “to be sharing this experience with Ryan is a dream come true for her!”

    It is impressive how Mendes was able to keep her life private, as she has not been photographed for a few months now. The last time she appeared in public was back in March, where she walked the streets of L.A. wearing a leopard-print coat, possibly hiding her baby bump. Back then, E! Online also caught up with the actress who gushed on what it’s like working with Gosling.

    “He really created the most beautiful, collaborative, creative atmosphere on set. I know, I’m biased. He’s the best, he’s the best,” she said.

    Another source said, “Ryan grew up without a dad, so he always said when he had kids, he’d be there no matter what. This is it for him.”

    Despite their great relationship, reports say that wedding bells are not in the couple’s immediate future. Gosling thinks that they don’t have to get married just because they are having a baby. For Mendes, however, it is important for them to start their lives together as husband and wife.

    Actress Stacey Dash expressed her opinion on celebrities who compare public exposure to dangerous and extreme situations. The 47-year-old Clueless actress appeared in a Fox News segment called “Outnumbered” where other hosts asked for her opinion.

    The hosts cited some examples of celebrities including Gwyneth Paltrow when she compared insults on the internet to “being a soldier in war,” and Lupita Nyong’o when she compared walking the red carpet to a “warzone.”

    Over the weekend, Kanye West performed at the Wireless Festival in London where he was booed by the audience for ranting. His “speech” garnered criticism, especially when he compared having his picture taken by the paparazzi to being raped.

    “I want to bring my family to the movies without 30 mo*********** following me,” West ranted to the crowd at the middle of his set. “Sex is great with you and your partner. But if one of the people don’t want to do that, what is that called? That’s called rape. That’s called violation,” he said referring to the paparazzi’s behavior when taking his pictures in public.

    Dash expressed her opinion regarding West’s statement and said, “For Kanye to say rape, maybe he needs to spend some time on Rikers Island. Go to Rikers for a little while, and then he’ll know what rape is.”

It’s when you start to call them names and act crazy and put your hands up and do all this drama that they make it a big deal,” she said.

    It seems that Miley Cyrus has moved on after her breakup with fiancé Liam Hemsworth last year. An unnamed source told US Weekly that Cyrus and Bangerz producer Mike Will Made-It have been dating for nine months now. The pair reportedly started going out just a bit after Cyrus and Hemsworth called off their engagement last year.

    It seems that the couple is keeping their relationship hush. “Everybody in her circle knows they’ve been together this whole time,” said the source.

    The 25-year-old producer not only won Cyrus’ heart, but her mother’s as well. Sources say that Tish, Cyrus’ mother, already thinks of her daughter’s new flame as “part of the family.”

    Mike Will Made-It, born Michael Len Williams II, has worked with other artists such as Ciara, Lil Wayne, and Rihanna. He was the executive producer on the fourth Hannah Montana album. Cyrus was also featured on his single and album “23.”

    Leonardo DiCaprio was spotted at the beach in Malibu, California, during the Fourth of July weekend. However, people around him had to do a double take, as the actor did not have his usual look. He was sporting a white shirt, orange shorts, a full beard, and long hair – not the usual dapper DiCaprio.

    He played a game of volleyball with his latest flame, German model Toni Garrn. Garrn wore jean shorts and a blue bikini top — she was looking sexy.

    DiCaprio’s scruffy look, however, was reminiscent of Tom Hanks’ character in Cast Away. He could have written SOS in the sand and someone would have rescued him. However, some also said that the 39-year-old actor is slowly morphing into Jack Nicholson – both in face and style. His sunglasses added to the “Jack Nicholson look.”

    Looks may not be the only thing the the two actors share. They both have successful acting careers, and they also share a love of beautiful models and expensive yachts. They were also co-stars in the film The Departed.

    This is not the first time DiCaprio has been compared to Nicholson. During a promotional tour of Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained in Japan last year, DiCaprio surprised and wowed his fans with his Nicholson impression, complete with the eyebrow movement.

    The uncanny resemblance between the two actors may be an advantage to DiCaprio if a Jack Nicholson biopic ever comes up. He may even finally snag his own Oscar award and add to the similarities between him and Nicholson.

    DiCaprio has been nominated for an Oscar five times, but has never won. Nicholson, on the other hand, has 12 Oscar nominations and has won three Oscars – two for Best Actor and one for Best Supporting Actor. He is also the most nominated male actor in the history of the Academy Awards.

  • Christie Brinkley’s Ex-Husband Is Reportedly Cheating On Current Wife

    Peter Cook, Christie Brinkley’s ex-husband, was left by his wife Suzanne Shaw and his infidelity is to blame.

    Reports say that Shaw moved out of their home in the Hamptons and has filed for legal separation. “Suzanne stood by Peter for years, through all his battles with Christie, but he lied to her and completely misrepresented himself. She repeatedly caught him cheating,” a source said.

    Cook split from Brinkley after he cheated on her with his assistant Diana Bianchi, who was 18 years old at the time. Cook even paid Bianchi $300,000 to keep their relationship a secret, but that failed. Cook and Brinkley were married for six years and fought each other over money and custody of their daughter Sailor.

    Now, years after, Shaw is in the same situation as Christie was. A source said, “Suzanne faithfully defended Peter against Christie, but now she regrets that she did so.”

Reports say that he also tried to pick up a girl at a Bridgehampton restaurant. A witness said that Cook was not successful in wooing the girl, but later called the restaurant and asked the staff to hand the phone to her. “It all appeared very desperate on his part,” said the witness.

    Brinkley’s rep did not respond to a request for a comment on the situation.

    David Arquette popped the question to his girlfriend of three years Christina McLarty. Arquette proposed to McLarty at Mastro’s Ocean Club in Malibu, California.

    “I proposed to her on the beach in front of a bunch of people and she got really embarrassed,” Arquette told E! News. However, that was not the whole story. McLarty said that there was another couple at the beach doing their engagement photos and she was making fun of them.

    “Like, ‘how embarrassing, all these people watching,’” she said. And then out of nowhere, Arquette proposes to her. The engagement ring consisted of a giant black diamond surrounded by two rounds of smaller white diamonds.

    Arquette continued, “I take her outside with our new baby, Charlie, and my daughter, Coco, and then I ask her and she’s like ‘No, what are you doing?! There’s so many people watching!’”

    McLarty said that she was so uncomfortable the entire time. Arquette, 42, and McLarty, 33, have been dating on and off since 2011. Last April, McLarty gave birth to their baby boy.

    Before McLarty met Arquette she had a relationship with creator of the infamous ‘Girls Gone Wild’ video series, Joe Francis. She was with Francis for four years, and married him. The marriage ended after a few months.

    Arquette and McLarty are said to be going to Aspen, Colorado to celebrate their engagement.

    The news of Arquette and McLarty’s engagement came just a week after Arquette’s ex-wife Courteney Cox announced her engagement to Johnny McDaid of Snow Patrol. Cox and Arquette’s divorce became official just last year but they remain friends. Cox shares a daughter, Coco, with Arquette.

    A source said that Arquette was just waiting for the right time to ask McLarty to marry him. “He and Courteney both talked about taking the next step in their relationships… They both want what’s best for each other,” the source said.

  • B.J. Penn Beaten Badly By Frankie Edgar, Announces Retirement After Fight

    Frankie Edgar had already beaten B.J. Penn in two UFC fights, so it came as a surprise when the UFC asked Edgar to face Penn for a third time.

    Edgar complied with the request and on Sunday, he showed that there was no reason for the third fight when he beat Penn yet again. During the third round, it was obvious that Penn was shaky. Edgar, on the other hand, still moved with the same speed as when the fight started.

    Edgar was able to restrain Penn on the floor and showered him with shot after shot, resulting in a gash over Penn’s left eye. Referee Herb Dean then stopped the fight.

    After losing, Penn announced his retirement. In the post-fight interview he said that he should have never come back to fighting, but he needed to know if he still had what it took to win.

    Although Sunday’s fight was the last one for Penn, he went out knowing that he did what he could and in the end learned that his days of competing in the octagon are over. He will likely be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in the future, and will always be known as one of most popular and most respected fighters in the UFC.

  • Apollo Nida: ‘RHOA’ Star Gets Eight-Year Sentence, Wife Phaedra Parks Devastated

    Apollo Nida, husband of The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Phaedra Parks, was arrested in January. He plead guilty to mail, wire, and bank fraud in May.

    Judge Charles A Pannell, Jr. said that Nida will serve eight years in prison and afterwards will be placed on supervised release for five years. Initially, Nida faced up to 30 years in prison for his crimes, but his sentence was lessened, as he cooperated with the federal investigation.

    Nida’s lawyer Thomas D. Bever said, “On behalf of my client Apollo, right now he feels remorse. He thought the judge was fair, and accepts his sentence, although he was hoping it would be less”

    In a written affidavit, Nida reportedly made up fake businesses in order to access databases and find people he could rip off. He opened bank accounts under those names and funneled loan proceeds and checks to those accounts.

    An insider revealed how his wife Phaedra Parks is dealing with the entire situation. “The only thing she’s worried about is Ayden and Dylan growing up without their dad,” the source said. Nida and Parks’ two boys are both under the age of four.

    “She knows just how important it is for her children, and young black boys in general, to grow up with a father,” the source continued.

    The source revealed that Parks is devastated by the news and she is disappointed that Nida will be missing some of the most important events in his children’s lives, however the source said that Parks will be alright.

    This is not the first time Nida got in trouble with the authorities. From 2004 to 2009, Nida served time for auto title fraud.

  • Biggest Flying Bird Revealed, Wingspan 24 Feet

    On Monday, paleontologists revealed the biggest flying bird to ever live. They called the bird Pelagornis sandersi, which belonged to a family of toothed birds that flew over the oceans around 25 million years ago.

    The fossil of the bird was found at the Charleston airport in 1983 while construction workers were doing their jobs. A backhoe had to be used in order to pull the bird out from the ground. The Pelagornis sandersi had a wingspan of 20-24 feet.

    According to paleontologist Antoine Louchart from the Institute of Functional Genomics in France, the “Pelagornis was certainly much lighter and better ‘flier’” than the condor.

    Studies indicate that Pelagornis spent much of its time flying over water. It soared over oceans for long distances. Paleontologist and science curator Dan Ksepka said that the Earth’s climate was a bit warmer 25 million years ago and the sea levels were higher. “So even though the Charleston airport, where the fossil was found, is on dry land today, it used to be an ocean,” he said.

    Another interesting characteristic of the Pelagornis is its pseudo-teeth, which it used for catching prey. “They don’t have enamel, they don’t grow in sockets, and they aren’t lost and replaced throughout the creature’s life span. Instead, the bone just extends from the jaw,” Ksepka said.

    The estimated average weight of the Pelagornis is 48 pounds, which is considered heavy to run on water and take off like waterfowl, but is still capable of flying unlike an ostrich, which is too heavy.

    “I think they just waited on the beach for a strong wind to carry them aloft,” Ksepka said referring to the Pelagornis.

    Paleontologists have also been comparing the Pelagornis to other birds. Ksepka is confident that this is the biggest bird that they have discovered that was capable of flying.
