  • Leah Remini And Jennifer Lopez Survive Car Crash

On Saturday, actress Leah Remini and her good friend Jennifer Lopez were driving around Malibu, California when a driver rear-ended their vehicle at around 8 PM. Although Remini, Lopez and Lopez’s children Max and Emme were reportedly shaken by the incident, they all emerged unharmed.

Remini had been driving Lopez’s SUV on the Pacific Coast Highway with her friend in the front seat and Max and Emme in the back on Saturday evening. Police told E! News that a small pickup truck driven by a man suspected to be drunk suddenly rammed into the rear end of Lopez’s SUV. Los Angeles county Sheriff’s Sgt. Brooks said that the incident happened as Remini stopped the vehicle at a traffic light near the 22700 block of the Pacific Coast Highway. No one in the vehicle Remini was driving was injured, according to police.

Remini and the driver of the pickup truck reportedly alighted from their vehicles to discuss the minor damage and exchange information, but the man suddenly got back into his truck and attempted to speed away. The driver was reportedly pulled over by deputies a few miles away from the scene and arrested on suspicion for hit and run as well as driving under the influence.

Lopez shared a photo taken shortly before the accident on Instagram and captioned it with a description of what happened at the accident. It shows Remini in the driver’s seat of her SUV and posing for the camera. “Sitting at a light, Riding high right before some drunk fool rear ended us in my new whip!!! Thank god everyone ok!!! #GRATEFUL #THANKYOUGOD #DontdrinkandDrive!!!! #cursedthatfoolout #theBronxcameout #dontmesswithmycocnuts #mamabear #leahstayedcalm #thatwasweird,” Lopez wrote. Apparently, Remini had stayed calm throughout the ordeal, according to Lopez.

Remini, who is originally from Brooklyn, New York, and Lopez, who is from the Bronx, have been good friends for years.

  • Nick Cannon Says He Didn’t Cause Amber Rose’s Divorce From Wiz Khalifa

In the wake of reports last week that Amber Rose and rapper Wiz Khalifa are getting divorced, TV host Nick Cannon has been fending off rumors that he is to blame for the couple’s marriage troubles. However, TMZ reported that a source close to Cannon insists that he and his new client have kept their relationship strictly professional. Cannon denies he helped Rose cheat on Khalifa, who has also accused his wife of cheating on him, claims TMZ.

Cannon recently became Rose’s manager and claims that he only found out about her divorce through her lawyers last week when he signed her as a client. It was only then that they reportedly shared break-up stories, since Cannon is also currently going through a divorce with singer Mariah Carey.

“Nick’s not a part of Amber’s relationship with Wiz. He’s got respect for both Amber and Wiz and was shocked when he himself heard the news they were breaking up just like everybody else,” revealed a source to HollywoodLife.com. The source added that their relationship was strictly friendship and business, but “more business than anything.” The source also said that Cannon was not giving his client relationship advice and that their conversations were mostly about making money and finding more work for Rose. “Nick’s not a counselor and has his own marital problems that he’s dealing with. Amber is cool, he think she’s a good girl but he’s not trying to put himself in the middle of a breaking marriage like everyone is making it out to be,” said the source.

DailyMail reported that Rose filed for divorce from Khalifa the day after she caught him with another woman at 2 AM. Rose had apparently arrived unannounced at the house Khalifa had moved into after the breakdown of their marriage. According to TMZ, Khalifa had made it clear to Rose that the marriage was over two weeks before the incident and insisted that he wasn’t cheating on her at the time.

  • Kris Jenner Ends Marriage To Bruce Jenner, Joins Daughter Kendall For Paris Fashion Week

After 11 months of separation, Kris Jenner has filed for divorce from her husband of 23 years, Olympian Bruce Jenner. The mother of Kim Kardashian filed a petition for divorce in Los Angeles on Monday, September 22, citing irreconcilable differences. Her husband reportedly filed a response to her petition on the following day.

The petition for divorce apparently does not include spousal support but does indicate a request for joint custody of their daughter Kylie, who at age 17 is still considered a minor. After the split became official last week, daughter Kendall Jenner shared an old photo of her parents on Instagram with a heart caption.

It was in October 2013 when Jenner revealed to Us Weekly that she and her husband were living apart. “But there is no animosity. We are united and committed to our family,” she said.

Jenner flew to France on the day she filed for divorce in order to support Kendall at her shows in Paris Fashion Week. The French city was where she and her entire family, including her husband, vacationed earlier this year to attend the wedding of her daughter Kim to rapper Kanye West. Jenner posted a photo of the Eiffel Tower on Instagram with the caption, “Well hello Paris I missed you!!!! #PFW #blessed.”

In a recent interview with Fashion Week Daily, Jenner set the record straight on rumors that Kendall had been bullied by fellow models at New York Fashion Week. “They have been so welcoming, especially at the Tommy Hilfiger show. At all of the shows, all of the girls have been so darling. It’s like a sorority. It’s really amazing and heartwarming the way they’ve welcomed her into their world and treated her like a sister,” she said.

Jenner was seated with her daughter Kim and son-in-law West at the front row of the Balmain show at Paris Fashion Week. They were there to cheer for Kendall, who walked the runway for the designer brand on Thursday.

  • Carrie Underwood Talks About Her Pregnancy On ‘Today’ Show

For the first time since she announced her pregnancy on September 1, singer Carrie Underwood wore her baby bump proudly onstage at the Global Citizen Festival on Saturday, September 27. The event is on its third year and aims to end extreme poverty by 2030. It was held in Central Park in New York City.

Underwood performed the song “Everybody Hurts” by R.E.M. wearing a short, black ensemble that only slightly concealed her growing baby bump. DailyMail reported that Underwood worked the stage, singing and engaging the crowd with lots of energy. Underwood apparently performed in front of 48,000 people alongside the likes of DJ Tiesto, Jay Z and The Roots.

The day before the Global Citizen Festival, Underwood made a guest appearance on the Today show and spoke about her pregnancy as well as her musical projects. Underwood revealed the novel way in which the festival gave away free tickets to the concert, which was to require people to sign up for acts of community service through the website www.globalcitizen.org.

When host Hoda Kotb asked her how she was dealing with the prospect of being a mother, Underwood replied, “It’s still kind of weird to be honest. Sometimes I’ll be with my husband and I’ll be like, ‘I’m going to be a mom and you’re going to be a dad. Is this real life?’ But we’re really excited.” Underwood is married to hockey player Mike Fisher, who is also the father of her baby.

Underwood added that she would try to model herself after her mother, whom she said was “wonderful.”

She also talked about her new single “Something In The Water,” which was also released on September 29. The song is part of her upcoming album titled Greatest Hits: Decade #1 and was co-written by Chris DeStefano and Brett James.

“It’s really kind of a joyous, uplifting song about changing your life for the better and kind of having that ‘a-ha’ moment, to waking up and your life being different from that moment forward,” Underwood said on Today last Friday.

  • Jodi Arias: Judge Rules Against Live Broadcast Of Death Penalty Trial

Jodi Arias’ penalty retrial will not broadcast live, unlike the first trial which provided endless cable TV and tabloid fodder.

The live broadcast of the first trial was the reason cited by the nearly two dozen potential jurors who were dismissed on Monday. Out of the pool of 300 potential jurors, around 20 said they had followed the media coverage of the case and therefore could not be impartial.

The judge ruled that no video footage can be broadcast until after the jury gives a verdict for the penalty retrial, which is expected to last until mid-December. Arias admitted to killing boyfriend, Travis Alexander, in 2008 in his Phoenix residence, claiming self-defense. He suffered nearly 30 knife wounds, had his throat slit and was shot in the head. Arias, a former waitress, was found guilty last year but the jury deadlocked on whether to condemn her to death. The murder conviction will stand while the prosecution tries to convince a new jury that she should die for the crime.

If the new jury cannot come to a unanimous decision on the death penalty, Arias will automatically be sentenced to life in prison, with the possibility of parole after 25 years.

Experts say that if the defense wants to spare Arias’ life, they should probably keep her off the stand in the retrial. William Zervakos, the foreman of the jury that convicted Arias, met with her legal team after the first trial and told them Arias “was her own worst enemy” and was a “terrible defendant.”

Arias and her legal team apparently do not get along well. Kirk Nurmi, the lawyer charged with her defense, has tried to quit the case, but the court has refused to let him off. Arias had also tried to fire Nurmi, complaining that he was “curt, rude and condescending” in a handwritten motion to the court.

She later asked for and was granted permission to represent herself, when the court would not assign her new defense. She later changed her mind as the court date neared and again accepted Nurmi as her lawyer.

  • Nicki Minaj Was Reportedly A Victim Of Childhood Abuse At The Hands Of Her Alcoholic Father

Nicki Minaj Was Reportedly A Victim Of Childhood Abuse At The Hands Of Her Alcoholic Father

Carol Maraj, mother of rapper superstar Nicki Minaj, recently revealed that her daughter had an abusive childhood caused by her alcoholic and cocaine-addicted father. According to DailyMail, she claimed that Minaj used her childhood experiences and tough upbringing to become the strong woman she is today.

In a recent interview with The Sun, Minaj’s mother opened up about the effect of her husband Robert’s alcohol and cocaine addiction on their family during the rapper’s childhood years. “My husband used to get high on cocaine and alcohol and would come home and terrorize the whole family,” she said.

Robert would allegedly hit Maraj and her children, and Minaj would supposedly spend evenings crying in her room because of the way her father treated her brothers Micaiah and Jelani. Minaj’s mother claimed that her husband had also once tried to burn their house in New York down with her in it, but that the children had escaped because they were staying at a neighbor’s house at the time.

Minaj herself recently opened up about her abusive childhood when she spoke to Now magazine this month. “A lot of arguing, lots of screaming—there were holes punched into the walls in anger and cops being called to the house all the time. I was afraid, very afraid that something would happen to my mother,” Minaj revealed. She previously told Rolling Stone in an interview that one of the first things she did when she and her family moved to New York when she was five years old was to pray that she would become rich enough to take care of her mother.

Minaj recently claimed that her father went to rehab, cleaned up and now attends church with her mother. However, RadarOnline.com has reported that Minaj’s father was arrested twice in 2013 for drunk driving and is expected to appear in court on July 9, 2015.

  • Janelle Monae Opens For Outkast At The Group’s 20th Anniversary Concert

Janelle Monae Opens For Outkast At The Group’s 20th Anniversary Concert

Grammy-winning singer Janelle Monae recently added another milestone to her life: opening for legendary hip hop group Outkast at its 20th anniversary concert. Monae was part of the show on Friday, September 26 that kicked off the three-day Outkast festival dubbed #ATLast held in the group’s hometown of Atlanta, Georgia.

#ATLast was held at the Centennial Olympic Park, where Monae performed on Friday along with other opening acts 2 Chainz, Future and Bun B. Monae and the other opening acts warmed the crowd sufficiently for Outkast’s whopping two-hour set, which saw the group performing classics such as “Ms. Jackson” and “Rosa Parks”. Present at Friday’s concert in the audience were fellow artists and special guests Jermaine Dupri and Usher.

Monae was part of a roster of opening acts reportedly curated by Outkast to rival some of this year’s major festival lineups. Other opening acts included artists such as B.o.B., Raury, Childish Gambino, Kid Cudi and K Camp. Meanwhile, some esteemed collaborators of Outkast also joined the performances at #ATLast, namely Erykah Badu, 8 Ball & MJG, Pastor Troy, Sleepy Brown, Killer Mike and Big Gipp.

Being part of #ATLast was not just an honor for Monae but also a chance to pay tribute to a person who was instrumental in her career, Big Boi of Outkast. She met Big Boi in 2001 when she moved to Atlanta, Georgia, which led to her inclusion in the Outkast album Idlewild, featuring in the songs “Call the Law” and “In Your Dreams.” Big Boi also introduced Monae to Sean Combs, who was impressed by her performances on her MySpace page and signed her to Bad Boy Records in 2006.

In 2007, Monae relesed Metropolis: Suite I (The Chase). Bad Boy Records later re-released the album as Metropolis: The Chase Suite (Special Edition) in 2008 with two new tracks. The record garnered her a nomination for Best Urban/Alternative Performance for the single “Many Moons” at the 51st Annual Grammy Awards, signaling the start of Monae’s glory in the mainstream spotlight.

  • Teresa Giudice Shows Off Lavish Lifestyle Before Sentencing

A sentencing is not exactly a life event that many people throw parties for, but Teresa Giudice and her husband went against the flow and hit the club last weekend for hers. The star of reality show The Real Housewives of New Jersey and her husband Joe Giudice recently hosted a “Stay Strong” party on the weekend before their October 2 sentencing at Pure Lounge in Parsippany, New Jersey.

According to RadarOnline.com, the Giudices partied with friends and family, looking as if they had no worries ahead. They reportedly joked around and ate cake to celebrate the couple’s last days of freedom. Teresa’s sentencing on Thursday has her facing up to 27 months in prison for mail and wire fraud, bankruptcy fraud and failure to pay taxes, but this didn’t seem to dampen anyone’s spirits at the party.

The Giudice party might not look good for Teresa in terms of her legal issues. RadarOnline.com reported that Teresa’s lawyers have already reprimanded their client for agreeing to sport a $2,000 Valentino bag on a recent episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

“After reading the report of Teresa carrying such a high priced designer bag, her lawyers were furious. It just looks bad after coming out of her bankruptcy drama. Teresa told her attorneys that the producers asked her to carry the designer handbag, and she felt obligated to do so, but they were still mad and told her to keep quiet,” said an insider.

The source further revealed that Teresa’s reality fame is hurting her. “All of her bad behavior is caught on camera, and there is a chance the judge or prosecutors could use that against her,” the source said.

Because of this, Teresa’s lawyers have placed a gag order on her, banning her from posting on social media until after her sentencing. On September 23, Teresa announced on her Bravo blog that she would be keeping mum for a while but would update her fans as soon as she could.

  • Hope Solo Confident That She’ll Be Exonerated Of Domestic Abuse Charges

Hope Solo released a statement on social media to address the current controversies she is involved in.

The star goalie is certain she will be proven innocent when she faces trial in November on charges of domestic violence assault involving her half-sister and 17-year-old nephew. She also said that she stands “united with all” celebrities who found that their photos had been posted online without their authorization:

“It is extremely sad and unfortunate that the rights of so many women were violated by the unauthorized release of private photographs. This act goes beyond the bounds of human decency and, as such, I stand united with all the women affected and am exploring every option to protect my privacy. In addition, while I understand that the public desires more information regarding the allegations against me, I continue to maintain my innocence against these charges. And, once all the facts come to light and the legal process is concluded, I am confident that I will be fully exonerated.”

With this post, the Seattle Reign goalie received a mixed response from her pool of 855,000 followers, the comments ranging from steadfast support to extreme anger.

U.S. Soccer president Sunil Gulati issued a statement Monday night saying the federation would stand by its decision to allow due process to take its course before ruling on Solo’s national team status.

“From the beginning, we considered the information available and have taken a deliberate and thoughtful approach regarding Hope Solo’s status with the National Team,” Gulati said. “Based on that information, U.S. Soccer stands by our decision to allow her to participate with the team as the legal process unfolds. If new information becomes available we will carefully consider it.”

Solo’s continued presence on the national team has been compared to Ray Rice’s indefinite suspension from the NFL over the assault of his wife, which was captured on surveillance video. However, sports authorities, including the U.S. Olympic Committee, have said that while abuse in all forms is unacceptable, Solo’s case differs in that the allegations against her have not been proven.

  • Gabrielle Union Threatens To Contact FBI Over Leaked Nude Photos

Gabrielle Union will be contacting the FBI to deal with topless photos of her that were leaked on the net.

After confirming that the said photos were authentic, the The Bring It On actress and husband Dwyane Wade released a statement together, reports TMZ:

“It has come to our attention that our private moments, that were shared and deleted solely between my husband and myself, have been leaked by some vultures,” read the statement.

“I can’t help but to be reminded that since the dawn of time women and children, specifically women of color, have been victimized, and the power over their own bodies taken from them. These atrocities against women and children continue worldwide.”

“For anyone out there also being affected by these and other hacking and hate crimes – We send our love, support and prayers.  We have done nothing wrong.”

    — VibeMagazine (@VibeMagazine) September 21, 2014

Union is only one of a number of celebrities who have fallen victim to a hacking attack that targets celebs’ private photos that are reportedly traded for bitcoins. It is now suspected that naked images of about a hundred actors, singers, models and presenters have been leaked, including those of Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, Ariana Grande and Mary Winstead.

Grande and a few other stars have claimed that the pictures are fakes. Like Union, Lawrence verified the the photos of her were authentic.

A spokesperson for Lawrence said: “This is a flagrant violation of privacy. The authorities have been contacted and will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos of Jennifer Lawrence.”

Winstead has likewise commented about the level of hacking that went into obtaining the photos, claiming that the images of herself had been deleted.

“Knowing those photos were deleted long ago, I can only imagine the creepy effort that went into this,” the actress wrote.

The FBI and Apple are currently conducting investigations into the apparent widespread hacking thought to be connected to the iCloud service.

  • Jill Duggar Of ’19 Kids & Counting’ Picks A Wedding Dress

On the September 23 episode of TLC reality series 19 Kids & Counting, Jill Duggar ticked off another important step toward her wedding to fiancé Derick Dillard. The 23-year-old daughter of Jim and Michelle Duggar was shown trying on her wedding dress, a milestone in the lives of the Duggar family.

In the episode, Duggar enlisted the help of her mother Michelle and all her female siblings to pick the right gown for her wedding to 25-year-old Dillard. As Duggar modeled each dress, everyone seemed to express approval, but it was the second gown she wore that made everyone who saw her speechless. Duggar choosing the right dress for her ceremony signaled that the date for her wedding being portrayed on the show was near, and viewers can expect to see what actually happened on that happy day on TV soon.

Before Duggar tried on dresses, her family paid tribute to her by tasking each member to write her a note about the changes in her future and theirs. Duggar seemed truly touched by the letters from her family, which showed how her little sisters were excited for her as well.

Another member of the family is also tying the knot soon. Duggar’s little sister Jessa, 21, is engaged to her boyfriend Ben Seewald, 19. The couple’s marriage plans are reportedly set as well.

Jessa recently told People that she had already chosen her dress. “I put it on, looked in the mirror, and it hit me. I’m going to be a bride,” she said.

Her parents have reportedly been helping the couple with wedding plans and are excited for the changes coming to their family again soon. “We are enjoying spending the time with Jessa and Ben now,” said her mother.

  • Matt Damon Does Impression Of Bill Clinton At Clinton Global Initiative

Actor Matt Damon produced a lighthearted moment at the Clinton Global Initiative last Tuesday, September 23 when he did his impression of the former president. The star of Good Will Hunting was part of a panel talking about initiatives for clean water and busted his Clinton impression out at an appropriate moment.

The Clinton Global Initiative is a conference organized by Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton and Chelsea Clinton for the discussion of worldwide crises, and Damon was on hand to talk about water policy.

“We could definitely reach hundreds of millions of people,” Damon said, on bringing clean water to those without access to it. He then mentioned something Clinton had said to him earlier about increasing access to water, but switched to the former president’s Southern drawl before quoting him: “Just keep running those numbers up. Just run ‘em up.”

The topic was serious, but the audience evidently enjoyed Damon’s Clinton impression as they laughed along with him.

Damon reportedly mentioned the fact that made him pay attention to clean water initiatives, which was how every 21 seconds, one child under the age of 5 dies because of a preventable water-related disease. “That [statistic] arrested me the most when I first heard it,” he said.

For this reason, Damon co-founded Water.org in 2009 with Gary White, who was also on the panel at the Clinton Global Initiative. The two reportedly explained how lack of access to clean water and sanitation not only led to severe illnesses but also affected women, since they were usually targets of assault when they would pass water in public.

Damon stressed how important solving the water crises was globally by comparing it to the problem of AIDS or cancer. “We solved [the water problem] here in the West 100 years ago,” Damon said. “Just imagine if we solved AIDS tomorrow or cancer, and in 100 years, children were still dying by the millions—it’s really unconscionable,” he said.

  • Bruno Tonioli Tells Lolo Jones To Move On After Her Dancing With The Stars Elimination

Recently, TMZ caught up with Dancing With The Stars judge Bruno Tonioli and asked him about Lolo Jones’ elimination from the competition in the first round. Tonioli did not hold back on his comments and essentially urged the former Olympian to move on with her life.

Earlier that week, Jones turned to Facebook to express her sadness over her elimination in a status that said she had been hoping to redeem herself on the show by working hard. The status went on to say that she was tired of being embarrassed. Jones and her partner Keo Motsope were eliminated from Dancing With The Stars because she had missed her cue, which sent their cha cha routine askew.

Tonioli, who is famous for his unorthodox comments on the show, thought that Jones’s reaction was “appropriate,” but also didn’t mince words. “Something went terribly wrong and she did as best as she could, but obviously, as they say, s— happens. But bless her!” he said.

The 58-year-old judge advised Jones to move on. Tonioli also discussed how it was common for slip-ups to happen on live shows and commended her for persevering despite the mess. “She took it very well. It’s a live show. Anyone that has done live performances knows that things sometimes can go wrong. She tried to cover it as best as she could, but the cast is very strong this season so, you know, it’s tough. She took it very elegantly and she behaved appropriately,” he said.

Despite expressing his sympathy for Jones, Tonioli was evidently still very pleased about the season premiere of Dancing With The Stars. “It was fabulous! Fabulous! Unmissable [sic] television!” he gushed.

Tonioli had gotten in trouble in 2011 for some reportedly uncouth comments about a dance number by Karate Kid’s Ralph Macchio and dancer Karina Smirnoff. This season, it seems that the judge has learned to be a bit more constructive with his comments.

  • Phaedra Parks Reportedly Starts Catfight With Kenya Moore On Real Housewives Of Atlanta Set

A major fight reportedly broke out on the set of reality TV series The Real Housewives of Atlanta recently. Phaedra Parks lashed out at castmate Kenya Moore because the latter was goading her about her husband, Apollo Nida, who has just started serving his eight-year prison sentence for fraud. Parks reportedly became infuriated when Moore brought up the subject of her husband and even accused her of cheating on Nida throughout their marriage.

Despite being given a warning from Parks about talking about her husband and other personal matters, Moore, a former Miss USA, was relentless. According to MediaTakeout.com, Parks at one point lunged at Moore and tried to put her hands on her. It was reportedly Moore’s accusation about Parks cheating on Nida that made the mother of two snap. Fellow castmate Kandi Buruss restrained Parks before she could hurt Moore.

Nida started serving his prison sentence earlier this month, and Parks is believed to be having a hard time dealing with her family situation. Her publicist told CNN recently, “Phaedra is now putting all of her energy into ensuring the well-being of her two children and making decisions that are in their best interests. This situation has put a tremendous strain on Phaedra and her family, and she is working hard to bring back a sense of normalcy to everyone’s lives.”

Meanwhile, a source told RadarOnline.com that Parks plans to file for divorce from Nida while he is incarcerated in a Kentucky facility. “There were serious trust issues with Apollo, and Phaedra suspects he has been unfaithful, and has been burning through money. Phaedra has always been the breadwinner, and she began to resent it,” the source said.

However, in an interview with The Breakfast Club, Buruss, who is close with Parks, said that she didn’t advise her friend to get a divorce. “For me, if it were my husband, I wouldn’t leave him just because he was going to jail. If it was about the other stuff that was going on that would be different,” she said.

  • Caroline Wozniacki Forgot To Take The Money, $1.45 Million!

Tennis sweetheart Caroline Wozniacki, currently holding the seventh spot in the world rankings, was said to be more excited about New York Fashion Week than her U.S. Open runner-up winnings. She was apparently so excited that she left the tournament without claiming her $1.45M prize money.

After losing to her close personal friend Serena Williams in the U.S. Open final earlier this month, she dutifully faced the press and then headed for home. About half an hour later, WSJ reports that she arrived back at the tennis center saying “I forgot to pick up my prize money.”

The Danish-born Wozniacki apparently doesn’t concern herself much with money. Not only did she forget to claim her $1.45 million check, she also didn’t inquire about an extra $500,000 in sponsorship incentives that is due her for her strong showing in the Open.

The fact that she earns over $10 million in annual endorsements may have something to do with her cool. But even her agent and manager, John Tobias, has stated that the 24-year-old star gives more weight to how she feels about a product rather than her potential earnings when discussing business particulars for her endorsements.

“I have enough to eat, buy nice shoes,” Wozniacki told WSJ. “For me, it’s about the tennis and the trophies. I’m not motivated by money.”

Wozniacki’s focus is set on winning a Grand Slam tournament. She definitely got far with rejuvenating her career with a 43-16 record this season. Fans expect a lot from this former world No. 1, who played her best tennis in years and made it back to her first Grand Slam final since 2009.

It is said that her tennis declined in the past years that she was engaged to pro golfer Rory McIlroy.  Her comeback became apparent earlier in the season when Wozniacki won a tournament in Istanbul, which came after McIlroy broke off their engagement.

  • Rachel Bradshaw: Was Husband Rob Bironas’ Death Caused By Road Rage?

As the daughter of NFL legend Terry Bradshaw, Rachel Bradshaw seemed to have come full circle with her marriage to Rob Bironas earlier this year. However, the nightmare of the sudden death of the former Tennessee Titans kicker began for Bradshaw on Saturday night when her husband slammed into a ditch at around 11 PM on September 20.

According to police records, Bradshaw didn’t know that Bironas had left their home in Nashville on Saturday night. Her husband had wished her good night at around 10:30 PM after watching a movie with Bradshaw and a female friend, she reportedly told a police officer. However, when Bradshaw went to check on her husband, he was not in his room. She consulted with relatives before calling the police and reporting him missing.

Metro Nashville Police said that Bradshaw’s husband had lost control of his vehicle on a curve less than a mile from his home on Saturday night. Several witnesses claimed that Bironas had tried to run them off the road on separate occasions. One woman who called police on Saturday night to report the crash supposedly handed the phone to another woman who claimed that the driver of the white SUV had tried to run her and her husband off the road.

Metro police spokesman Don Aaron said that Bironas, who was the driver of said white SUV, had swerved back and placed himself behind the couple, revving his engine threateningly. “Then the White SUV accelerated away at a high rate of speed. [The couple] paused a few moments, continued traveling on Battery Lane and came upon the crash,” Aaron added. Two students reported that Bironas had done the same thing to them earlier that night.

Bironas was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Police reported no evidence of alcohol or drugs at the scene of the crash.

  • Missing College Student: Jesse Leroy Matthew Jr. Wanted By Charlottesville Police

The parents of missing University of Virginia student Hannah Graham, appealed to the public to continue coming forward with information about their daughter in her last hours before she disappeared, no matter how “insignificant” it might seem.

“We need to find out what happened to Hannah, and make sure it doesn’t happen to anyone else,” said  John Graham, the father of the missing 18-year-old student.

The Grahams spoke at a press conference after police identified the man last seen with their daughter.  Surveillance videos and eyewitness accounts establish that the missing girl was with Jesse Leroy Matthew Jr., a patient technician in the university’s medical center, on the evening of her disappearance.

Police have said that Graham, a sophomore from northern Virginia, met friends at a restaurant for dinner on the night of September 12. She then stopped by two parties at off-campus housing units and left the second party alone.

“Investigators believe that Jesse was the last person to see Hannah before she disappeared,” Charlottesville police Chief Timothy Longo said. “And look, Jesse, if you weren’t, then come forward and tell us that. If you parted ways with her, tell us that.”

Matthew voluntarily stopped by the department’s station on Saturday with several family members, but left before investigators could ask him for information about his encounter with Graham. Police said Matthew asked for a lawyer, which was granted. After a short discussion with the lawyer, he left the station in high speed.

Although he has not been charged with the girl’s disappearance, police searched Matthew’s apartment on Monday and according to the Charlottesville Daily Progress report, left the apartment carrying several items.

However, Longo explained the police are not discounting other leads at this point. “I don’t want to get tunnel vision just because we have a name, just because we saw her with a particular person.”

UVA President Teresa A. Sullivan released a statement Sunday reiterating the university’s commitment to “provide both emotional support and physical assistance” in the search. She said the university shares the community’s goal to locate Hannah and to return her safely to her family.

  • Lauren Silverman Throws Birthday Bash For Simon Cowell In London

New York socialite Lauren Silverman paid tribute to her man recently by organizing an advanced birthday bash for him in London. Silverman’s boyfriend, music mogul Simon Cowell, is celebrating his 55th birthday on October 7, but she decided to throw a party for him last Sunday at Chelsea restaurant Scalini in London.

Silverman decided to leave her baby with Cowell, seven-month-old Eric, at home so they could have a date night out with Cowell’s celebrity friends. She and the birthday celebrant posed for photographers, arm-in-arm, before heading into the restaurant for the party.

Among the friends Silverman invited to the bash were Britain’s Got Talent judge David Walliams and his wife Lara Stone, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, Louis Walsh and Sinitta. Also in attendance at Silverman’s party were Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and her new husband Jean-Bernard, whom an eyewitness said looked “incredibly loved-up.”

There were a few speeches made that night that spiced up Silverman’s party for Cowell. Walliams reportedly “confessed” that he had a secret gay relationship with Cowell. He joked that Eric was a cover for their relationship, according to a source at the party. “He said he couldn’t believe the lengths Simon would go to in having a baby to cover up their relationship,” said the source.

Another person to make a speech was Cowell’s ex-girlfriend, Sinitta. Her speech was reportedly a little more serious, touching upon the fact Cowell was her best friend. The singer also reportedly praised Silverman but also admitted that she used to be jealous of her.

“[Sinitta] said she is happy that she is friends with Lauren and has been for some time, adding that Lauren is now also one of her best friends. She also said how much she loves Eric,” said a source.

The following day, Walliams couldn’t help tweeting about the party and referring to his comedic tribute speech for Cowell. He tweeted, “Loved seeing @Amanda_Holden & @AleshaOfficial at @SimonCowell ‘s birthday last night. Sadly after my speech I won’t be invited back on BGT.”

  • Tracee Ellis Ross Is ‘Black-ish’ In New ABC Comedy

The daughter of Diana Ross is set to star in a new comedy on ABC called black-ish, which premieres on Wednesday, September 24 at 9:30 PM. Tracee Ellis Ross, daughter of the legendary diva and her first husband, music producer Robert Ellis Silberstein, plays the biracial mother of an African-American family coming to terms with its affluence.

The show’s lead is played by Anthony Anderson, who lends humor to the character of Andre, a hardworking employee of an advertising agency. When Andre is promoted to the position of vice president of “urban” marketing, he wonders if he was given the post just because he was black. Ross’s character of what the Los Angeles Register calls “semi-exasperated wife” tells him to stop worrying, and when she’s told that she doesn’t understand his predicament because she’s half white, she shoots back, “If I’m not, uh, really black, can someone please tell my hair and my ass?”

Ross apparently relates well to her character of Rainbow Johnson. “Although I am not a mother and a wife, I am a mixed woman and I do understand these feelings she’s going through. The show’s not about being fresh. It’s about telling the truth. And I think that comes across in the lines,” she said.

The 41-year-old actress had previously worked with black-ish creator Kenya Barris on Girlfriends, and he reportedly wrote her parts with the knowledge of Ross’s speech rhythms in mind. Executive producer Larry Wilmore believes that a good cast is what will make the show successful. “Anthony is very gifted and he has known Tracee for years. She is so natural and lovable. When she read [for the part], we all said, ‘Why should we even look at anybody else?’” Wilmore said.

Ross claims that her penchant for comedy came from her father, and not her singing mother. “I got it from my father because he’s a Jew from Jersey,” she said.

  • Neil Patrick Harris Married His Long-Time Partner In The Interest Of His Kids

Earlier this month, actor Neil Patrick Harris finally married his fiancé David Burtka in Italy after a long engagement. Harris recently spoke about his destination wedding when he made a guest appearance on the talk show The View and said that the reason they did it was for the benefit of their three-year-old twins, Harper Grace and Gideon Scott.

On Wednesday, Harris told the hosts of The View that he and Burtka decided to get married so that their children could better understand their family. He stressed that they weren’t getting married to elicit any kind of reaction from anyone as they had already been together for more than 10 years.

“I think when our kids got to the age where they were having reasonable conversations — when they’re asking lots of ‘why’ questions — then it seemed like to be able to have a real, clear-cut explanation of who their daddy is, I think it’s great [to say], ‘He’s my husband,” Harris explained.

Set in an Italian castle, the romantic wedding was described as intimate by Harris, with only 45 guests. “I just wanted to be able to say nice things about David to David in front of the people that mattered the most to us. It was less about a proclamation and more about a declaration that I was able to share in front of our kids,” he said.

Harris confessed that despite having spent all those years living with Burtka, he and his groom still felt emotional at the ceremony. “It was so crazy, because when you watch other people say their vows and get all choked up, you say ‘Come on! Pull it together, man.’ Then when you are standing there and it’s you and you have this piece of paper in your hand and it’s shaking… you can’t help but just get super-duper choked up,” he said.
