  • Nina Pham Reportedly “Doing Well” After Contracting Ebola Virus

    The nurse who contracted Ebola from a Liberian patient is reportedly “doing well” while receiving treatment at the Texas hospital for which she works. Nina Pham is the first person to contract Ebola on US soil after attending to Thomas Eric Duncan, who had unknowingly brought the virus to the States when he flew back from Liberia. Pham is currently being treated for Ebola at Texas Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas and recently gave an update on how she was feeling.

    “I’m doing well and want to thank everyone for their kind wishes and prayers. I am blessed by the support of family and friends and am blessed to be cared for by the best team of doctors and nurses in the world,” Pham said in a statement released by the hospital on Tuesday, October 14.

    Wendell Watson, spokesman for Texas Health Resources, also reported that Pham was in good condition as of Tuesday evening.

    Pham attended Texas Christian University in Dallas and graduated with a degree in nursing in 2010. Just two months before she contracted Ebola, Pham had received certification in critical care nursing, which deals specifically with life-threatening problems.

    “Knowing Nina, she’s one of the most meticulous, thorough, effective nurses. She taught me infection control and hand hygiene and protocol. I learned so much of that from her,” said Jennifer Joseph, who had trained under Pham at the hospital.

    On Sunday, officials said that Pham had “extensive contact” with Duncan while he was being treated for Ebola at the hospital. President Barack Obama has reportedly called for an investigation into why Pham had contracted Ebola with strict protocols in place to halt the spread of the virus.

    “The hearts and prayers of everyone at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas are with Nina Pham, and we are working tirelessly to help her in this courageous fight. The doctors and nurses involved with her treatment remain hopeful, and we ask for the prayers of the entire country,” Texas Health Resources CEO Barclay Berdan added in a statement.

  • Megaquake West Coast: Scientists Say It’s A Probability

    A group of researchers have calculated the possibility of a megaquake such as Japan’s 9.0 quake and tsunami in 2011 happening on America’s West Coast. A study published in the October issue of Bulletin of the Seismological Society of America details how researchers used computer models of future seismic activity and analysis of past activity dating back thousands of years to find out how often the Pacific’s earthquake zones produced 9.0-magnitude quakes. According to the study, these zones produce earthquakes with magnitudes of at least 9.0 every 10,000 years on average.

    According to NBC News, seismologists were surprised by the 9.3-magnitude quake and tsunami that hit Sumatra in 2004 as well as the megaquake and tsunami that devastated Japan in 2011. Previously, they reportedly didn’t know that subduction zones, where one geological plate is diving beneath another, were capable of producing quakes as strong as these.

    Yufang Rong, a seismologist at FM Global’s Center for Property Risk Solutions, was part of a team that ran computerized Monte Carlo simulations on seismic data from various subduction zones around the Pacific. They found that besides the 10,000-year average for 9.0 quakes, earthquakes of magnitude at least 8.5 should be expected every 250 years, while those 8.8 can be expected every 500 years.

    However, Rong cautioned that the figures were based on statistical distribution, meaning the time frames are not rigid. “We are talking about probabilities,” said Rong.

    Chris Goldfinger, a marine geologist and professor at Oregon State University, noted that the Cascadia Subduction Zone, which runs from Vancouver Island down to northern California, is overdue for a megaquake. “We’re 300 years into a 240-year cycle,” said Goldfinger.

    “The most important thing is to strengthen or replace infrastructure to make sure that our lifeline systems like power and water will not be so severely damaged that they require years to repair,” said Ian Madin, a geologist and chief scientist at Oregon Department of Geology and Mineral Industries.

  • Gisele Bundchen Stars In New Short Film For Chanel No. 5 Campaign

    On Monday, Chanel released a teaser for its new short film starring supermodel Gisele Bundchen as part of the brand’s Chanel No. 5 campaign. Helmed by Australian director Baz Luhrmann, the 15-second teaser was released to hype the full commercial, which dropped on Wednesday.

    Along with the teaser of the film, titled The One That I Want, Chanel released two photos of Bundchen carrying a surfboard. Bundchen can be seen doing a variety of activities in the film such as surfing in a Chanel wetsuit on a Chanel surfboard, running through a damp and dark New York alleyway and leaning against a prop in the shape of a “No. 5.”

    The luxury brand rarely inspires physical activity, but the film starring Bundchen reportedly recalls Chanel’s early days when Coco Chanel designed practical sportswear for women and promoted the use of the jersey.

    Bundchen has been partnered with Chanel since May, when the brand initially said in a statement that the supermodel’s “natural beauty and modern femininity” made her a fit for their campaigns. Bundchen has since appeared as the face of the brand’s Les Beiges beauty campaign and walked the Chanel runway at Paris Fashion Week in September. Bundchen now numbers among other stars who have endorsed the iconic perfume brand, including Brad Pitt, Nicole Kidman and Marily Monroe. To celebrate Bundchen’s new film, Chanel threw a party for her on Monday in New York City. New York Observer reported that the brand had invited the most chic models and socialites to the party. Chanel also revived its previously inactive Instagram account by posting nine pictures taken at the party held for Bundchen, which show stars such as Lily Allen and Poppy Delevingne in attendance.

  • James Bond 24 Cast To Include Batista, Lea Seydoux

    The upcoming and highly anticipated new James Bond film will see some interesting additions to its cast, which now includes former WWE wrestler Batista and Blue Is The Warmest Color actor Lea Seydoux. These new cast members will join a powerhouse ensemble already composed of Daniel Craig as James Bond and Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw and Naomie Harris as his MI6 colleagues.

    James Bond 24, which does not have a title at present, will see Craig reprising his role as James Bond and will again be directed by Sam Mendes, who directed the last James Bond film Skyfall. James Bond 24 is reportedly set to start shooting by the end of the year and will hit theaters by November 2015.

    Batista has reportedly bagged the role of the villain in James Bond 24. A casting breakdown for the part provided by Sporting News says that the villain, named Hinx, is a male role that should be played by “an imposing extremely physically fit actor” who has “several fights with Bond” and will need stunt training. James Bond 24 supposedly required “someone very unusual, possibly from a sports background” for the part, and Batista seems to fit the bill with a height of 6 feet and 6 inches and weighing 290 pounds. The role of Hinx in James Bond 24 will be another big one for Batista, who recently gained acclaim for his portrayal of Dax the Destroyer in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. The wrestler reportedly resigned from WWE in June and has since focused on his acting career, currently shooting Bus 657 with Robert DeNiro and Kate Bosworth.

    Meanwhile, Lea Seydoux has been confirmed as the next Bond girl on James Bond 24, playing the role of “femme fatale.” According to Daily Mail, the actor will be undergoing a series of costume, make-up and camera tests to determine her look in the movie before she starts script rehearsal in November.

  • Clay Aiken Facing Sabotage Of Congressional Campaign With Stolen Signs

    On Friday, a man in Sanford was reportedly cited for stealing signs used in the campaign for congressional candidate Clay Aiken. According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, a man named Jonathon Lee Gonia, 31 years old, was served with a criminal summons for removal of election or political signs. Gonia is reportedly scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.

    The Lee County Democratic Party apparently received a report on Thursday evening that someone was removing Aiken’s signs at the intersection of Jefferson Davis and Center Church roads. A description of the man provided by a witness was matched to Gonia, along with information such as the license tag of the vehicle he was driving.

    The witness spoke to Gonia, who claimed that he worked for the Democratic Party and was removing the Clay Aiken signs because they were obstructing his view.

    “Based on the evidence that we have in the investigation, it appears that [Gonia] stole the signs,” said Lee County Sheriff Tracy Carter.

    However, according to a statement issued by Gonia and his lawyer, Ed Page, Gonia was removing Aiken’s signs because they were placed within three feet from the road and obstructing the view of motorists.

    “Mr. Gonia removed unlawfully placed signs and returned them to Lee County Democrat Headquarters. We fully believe that it was lawful to remove these unlawfully placed signs,” said Page.

    Meanwhile, Aiken embarked on a three-week bus tour across US House District 2 starting with a rally in Cary, North Carolina on Tuesday, October 14. Aiken will be hosting town hall meetings, attending local events and meeting constituents throughout his tour.

    Aiken is running against Republican Congresswoman Renee Ellmers, and will be facing her in a forum being hosted by the Sanford Herald newspaper when his tour bus moves to Sanford from Cary.

    Tracy Morgan Lashes Out At Walmart For Placing Blame On Him For Accident

    On Monday, Walmart responded to a lawsuit filed by Tracy Morgan regarding a car crash that left him seriously injured and his friend Jimmy Mack dead on June 7 earlier this year. In the filing, the company placed the blame for their injuries on Morgan and his friends due to the fact that they had not been wearing seatbelts.

    Morgan, who starred in Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock, was reportedly incensed by Walmart’s reaction. Morgan issued a statement on Tuesday, which said, “I can’t believe Walmart is blaming me for an accident that they caused. My friends and I were doing nothing wrong. I want to thank my fans for sticking with me during this difficult time. I love you all. I’m fighting hard every day to get back.”

    Morgan and two of his critically injured companions filed a federal lawsuit against Walmart in July that accused the company of negligence. Walmart employed Kevin Roper, the driver of the truck who was reported to be going 20 miles per hour over the speed limit and was allegedly awake for more than 24 hours at the time of the crash, where he hit the rear end of the limo bus carrying Morgan from a standup show in Delaware.

    Walmart’s court filing claims that Morgan’s injuries were “caused, in whole or in part, by plaintiffs’ failure to properly wear an appropriate available seat belt restraint device,” and that Morgan and company had “acted unreasonably and in disregard of (their) own best interests.”

    Morgan’s lawyer, Benedict Morelli, said that the comedian was extremely upset by Walmart’s reaction to the lawsuit. “He was so upset. It was all over the place. He was reading about it and seeing it on TV,” said Morelli.

    Morgan has reportedly been undergoing rigorous rehabilitation since the crash, including daily speech, cognitive, vocational and physical therapies.

  • Herschel Walker Trade Sees 25th Anniversary This Week

    This week is the 25th anniversary of the biggest trade that happened in the history of American football.  On October 12, 25 years ago, running back Herschel Walker was traded to the Minnesota Vikings by the Dallas Cowboys. The Walker trade led to the success of the Dallas Cowboys in the early 1990s, which has made it widely considered as one of the five biggest trades in all of sports history.

    The historic deal involved the Cowboys trading their talented running back to the Vikings, who reportedly believed that it needed Walker to start the team winning championships. Instead, the deal jumpstarted a hugely successful period for the Cowboys, who were able to select Emmitt Smith, Alvin Harper, Darren Woodson and others with the picks the Vikings provided to form a team that would get them to the Super Bowl by 1992.

    According to The Viking Age, Vikings coach Mike Lynn had been wrong about the team’s needs and his expectations of Walker’s addition to it. “Walker was not a top-of-the-line dominating Walter Payton/Eric Dickerson running back but a complementary back, a good piece who needed other good pieces around him in order to be of value,” wrote Dan Zinski of The Viking Age. Apparently, Lynn did not notice “the yawning void at quarterback” as well as other key roles the Vikings needed to boost in order to improve their performance.

    The Cowboys enjoyed great success in the Super Bowl as a result of the Walker trade, but things didn’t necessarily become peaceful for the team with its success. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and coach Jimmy Johnson have reportedly been feuding since the early ‘90s and are still arguing over who gets credit for the Walker trade 25 years after it happened.

    Johnson reportedly claims he surprised Jones with the idea of trading Walker, while Jones counters that he had been toying with the idea before they ever started directly talking about it. Johnson eventually left the Cowboys with a $2 million severance check.

  • Molly Ringwald Lends Voice To Upcoming Rainbow Brite Reboot

    One of the most popular cartoon series of the 1980s is seeing an update as Rainbow Brite gets a reboot courtesy of subscription video-on-demand service Feeln. Lending their voices to this new Rainbow Brite series are actors Emily Osment and Molly Ringwald.

    Ringwald will be playing the role of the central villain of the series, The Dark Princess. Making a name for herself with teen roles in ‘80s movies such as Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink and The Breakfast Club, Ringwald will be contributing to the revival of another ‘80s classic that cheered thousands of young viewers. Ringwald has already made her mark on the current generation of viewers by starring in a recurring role as a mother on ABC Family’s Secret Life Of The American Teenager.

    “With Rainbow Brite, we believe we have created something that captures the essence of the original series—but with a vision that resonates today. We hope audiences will react with an, ‘Oh, my bows!’—just like us,” said Iris Ichishita, head of original entertainment for Feeln.

    Feeln is a movie subscription service that caters to all ages. It was founded by Academy Award-winning producer Rob Fried and is available online via Roku, Xbox, mobile phones and tablets.

    Playing the title role is Emily Osment, an actor and singer-songwriter best known for her role as Miley’s best friend on Hannah Montana. “Being cast as the voice of Rainbow Brite for the relaunch of this iconic show is truly an honor. I look forward to connecting with the audience, old and new, and going on this exciting adventure together,” said Osment.

    Rainbow Brite’s primary mission is apparently to go on adventures to save Rainbowland from destruction and dark powers. Her horse, Starlite, and the Color Kids will also be portrayed in the series to deliver the message that Feeln said is at the show’s core: optimism, creativity and friendship.

    Rainbow Brite will be featuring three weekly episodes for a limited run starting on November 6.

  • Jessie J Defends Ariana Grande, Claims The Singer Is Not A Diva

    Ariana Grande has been having her share of hate with allegations of diva behavior, but singer Jessie J refuses to believe the rumors. Jessie J recently defended Grande, whom she collaborated with recently for the single “Bang Bang” with Nicki Minaj.

    Last week, at the William Rast debut at Lord & Taylor in New York City, Jessie J spoke to Us Weekly and told the publication why Grande was not a diva.

    “I always say, judge a person when you meet them. I’ve met Ariana, and there’s a very thin line between ‘diva’ and ‘survival.’ And a lot of people can’t [differentiate that] — and I’ve had that,” Jessie J said. “I’ve had the diva stuff. And it’s when people can’t cope with how passionate you are, and how much you care.”

    Jessie J also added that Grande was very young but “super talented” and “very sure of what she wants,” which is probably why people perceive the singer to be exacting. “I think she’s wonderful. She’s great,” said Jessie J.

    According to Yahoo!, Grande recently scrapped an Australian schedule for promotion because she didn’t like her pictures from a photo shoot, and some fans in The US were reportedly snubbed by the “Problem” singer. However, Jessie J only has praises to sing of her.

    “She’s wonderful and she’s had an extraordinary amount of success and the media sadly can’t keep celebrating that, so they have to find something that they feel people would want to be more nosily interested in,” said Jessie J.

    Meanwhile, Sweet Talker, Jessie J’s latest album, is reportedly getting so-so reviews. The New York Post gave the album 2-and-a-half stars, noting that Jessie J had “vocal gifts” but that they could sometimes produce “overblown results.”

    “Sweet Talker is at its best when the Brit pipes down a little and lets the songs do the work,” wrote the publication’s Hardeep Phull of Jessie J’s third album.

  • Princess Charlene of Monaco Is Having Twins, Proudly Wears Baby Bump During US Visit

    Ensuring the line of succession to Monaco’s throne, it was recently announced that Princess Charlene will be having twins when she gives birth in December. The royal palace announced on Thursday, October 8 that the 36-year-old wife of Prince Albert II is currently pregnant with two babies.

    “The Prince and Princess of Monaco are happy to confirm they are expecting twins… at the end of the year,” the palace said in a statement. Charlene’s twins will reportedly replace Albert’s sister Caroline as heirs to the throne.

    A close friend of Albert, New York plastic surgeon Jon Turk, recently recounted how Charlene found out that she was carrying twins and how she broke the news to her husband. While having her first ultrasound, Charlene apparently called Albert out of a meeting and said, “We’re going to have a baby!” After that, Albert reportedly went back to his important meeting.

    However, a few minutes later, Charlene supposedly called him back when they found a second baby in the sonogram. “He was busy in a meeting [and didn’t know why she was calling] and reluctant to come out. But when he came out, she said, ‘We’re going to have two babies!’ Two calls for two kids!” said Turk, who is also a trustee of the Princess Grace Foundation, which was set up in honor of Albert’s mother.

    Albert and Charlene spent the last week in the US attending events in support of the Princess Grace Foundation, which in turn supports up-and-coming actors. At an awards ceremony in Palm Springs, Charlene proudly wore her baby bump in a chic navy blue silk dress, apparently looking relaxed and happy. Albert seemed protective of Charlene, clutching her hand as he ushered her into the venue.

    The Prince of Monaco and Princess Charlene also attended other events for the Princess Grace Foundation, including a gala supper in Los Angeles with director Adam Shankman and Glee star Jane Lynch.

  • Stevie Ray Vaughan Lands List Of Nominees For 2015 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame

    Guitar god Stevie Ray Vaughan is among the list of artists up for induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. On October 9, Thursday, the list of nominees for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015 was released, which included Vaughan and artists such as Lou Reed, Sting, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and Bill Withers.

    According to Rolling Stone, the public will again be allowed to vote alongside the artists, historians and music industry insiders in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to choose among the list of nominees such as Vaughan whom they’d like to see inducted. Music fans can cast their votes until December 9, and the top five acts will be comprising a “fan’s ballot” that will serve as one of the 700 required to determine the Class of 2015.

    Vaughan is a blues guitarist from Dallas, Texas who made his name in Austin and is credited as important to the revival of blues music in the 1980s. Vaughan earned six Grammy Award and 10 Austin Music Awards in his lifetime, and was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 2000 and the Musicians Hall of Fame earlier this year.

    Vaughan was reportedly admired by other legendary rock musicians. “SRV completely floored me. I probably hadn’t been so gung-ho about a guitar player since seeing Jeff Beck in the early 60s,” said David Bowie after a 1982 performance of Vaughan’s in Montreal.

    Artists eligible this year for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame must have released their first album or single in 1989. Although Vaughan has been eligible for induction for six years, this is the first time the guitarist has been nominated. Vaughan is reportedly doing well in the pubic poll as he is leading it with 17.69% of votes. The influential electric guitarist is followed by new nominees Nine Inch Nails, with 16.12%, and Green Day, with 13.45%.

  • Faye Grant’s Attorney Lashes Out At Stephen Collins Over Accusations Of Blackmail

    The controversy surrounding actor Stephen Collins and his alleged pedophilia has escalated with accusations that wife Faye Grant blackmailed him to get more money. Grant has lashed out at Collins’ camp through her lawyer, Martin Singer, who claims that the actor and his attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan are making “false and fabricated statements about Faye Grant to try to justify Collins’ conduct.”

    Kaplan is reportedly claiming that Grant repeatedly threatened Collins with the audio recording she made at one of their 2012 therapy sessions together, where Collins admitted he had sexually abused young girls. He supposedly accused Grant of threatening to leak the recording to media if Collins did not pay her “millions of dollars more than that to which she was legally entitled.”

    According to Daily Mail, Singer sent a letter to Kaplan on Friday threatening to take legal action for his comments. “It is malicious and outrageous that you would choose to spread defamatory lies accusing my client of supposedly engaging in extortion,” wrote Singer. “You are well aware of the fact that my client never used the tape at all in the dissolution proceedings. To the contrary, after your client refused to obtain treatment within a few months of the taping, my client gave the tapes to the NYPD and the LAPD.”

    Grant, 57, is also an actor and was married to Collins for 27 years before they divorced in 2012. It is believed that the secret audio recording she made of their therapy session in which Collins admitted his pedophilic tendencies was made in that same year.

    According to the New York Daily News, Grant had reached out in July 2012 to one of Collins’ victims after finding out about what he did. “I can only imagine the scars created from an adult behaving that way towards you,” Grant wrote in an e-mail to the woman. A source close to the NYPD told the publication that the victim was apparently a relative of Collins’.

  • Jennifer Aniston: Why Is Being Her Friend A “Burden”?

    In a recent interview with HuffPost Live, comedienne Chelsea Handler revealed what it was like to be the best friend of Friends star Jennifer Aniston. Among other things, Handler said that being besties with Aniston was “a burden.”

    The former host of Chelsea Lately dished on her friendship with Aniston, saying that people are always trying to get information from her about the Meet The Millers actor. “Everywhere I go, people ask me about Jennifer Aniston’s wedding. And I tell her, ‘Being friends with you is a burden,’” said Handler.

    Aniston is currently engaged to The Leftovers actor Justin Theroux, but the pair have not yet set a date for their wedding. Handler revealed how fielding questions from reporters is a responsibility that comes with being friends with Aniston.

    “You think it’s hard to be friends with me? Do you know what it’s like to walk down a red carpet and [reporters] go ‘When are Jen and Justin getting married?’ like I’m in charge of that!” Handler said.

    Despite Handler’s irritation with reporters who hound her for the littlest tidbits about Aniston, the 39-year-old talk show host assured her friends that their secrets were safe with her. Handler said that even if she did know about Aniston and Theroux’s wedding plans, she wouldn’t reveal them to the press.

    “My friends who are really private, whether they’re famous or not, I won’t talk about them. I do more than a lot of them are comfortable with, but I always joke around,” said Handler. “If it was not a cool thing to do, I wouldn’t tell someone’s secrets. Everything’s got a play on it. It’s a joke.”

    “I wouldn’t screw you over, I just wouldn’t do that,” continued Handler. “I’m not interested in private information. That’s when I go to myself, where there’s plenty of stuff to pick from.”

  • Sarah Jessica Parker May Reconnect With Ex Robert Downey Jr.

    Sex And The City star Sarah Jessica Parker might meet up with her old flame Robert Downey Jr. soon, and it’s all okay with husband Matthew Broderick. Apparently, Parker is being sought out by Downey for a reunion, but only if Broderick allows it.

    Downey spoke about Parker, with whom he had a seven-year relationship from their teens to their mid-20s, during an interview with Howard Stern on his SiruisXm radio Show on October 7. “I’ll make a point of trying to see her while I’m here. I’d like to,” said Downey. “I’ll ask [Broderick’s] permission. I just want to check in for a few minutes. I love Matthew Broderick.”


    “’I’d love to have [Matthew] there. I’ll bring Susan,” Downey added, referring to his wife Susan Downey, with whom he is expecting their second child together.

    On the same day of Downey’s interview with Stern, Parker was seen out in New York City taking her twin daughters to school. Parker was reportedly wearing a knitted gray turtleneck paired with black sweatpants while comfortably walking in green sneakers.

    Meanwhile, Broderick has already given his blessing to the reunion between Downey and Parker. He told Us Weekly at the opening of his new play It’s Only A Play on Broadway last October 9 that he would be okay with Downey contacting Parker.

    “Of course, he’s more than [okay to connect her]—they’re great friends! What would I say? No? Who do you think I am? No, I love Robert Downey and Sarah Jessica Parker so [yes!]” Broderick said.

    Parker weighed in on the possible reunion with Downey as well. “He and I have always been on wonderful terms so… of course I’m hospitable to that!” she said.

    If the reunion between Parker and Downey happens this year, it will have been 23 years since they called it quits from each other in 1991.

  • Amanda Bynes Will Stay In Psychiatric Hold For Two More Weeks

    After being committed for a 72-hour psychiatric hold on Friday, October 10, Amanda Bynes is reportedly up for an extended stay of two weeks in a Pasadena hospital. Bynes flew into Los Angeles from New York on Friday and was chauffeured to Las Encinas Hospital, where she was put on 5150 hold. The order is reserved for a person deemed to have mental illness that makes them a danger to themselves or others.

    The lawyer of the Bynes family, Tamar Arminak, confirmed to ABC News on Monday, that Bynes’s stay at the hospital will be extended for two weeks. “My clients are very concerned about their daughter. Despite what is being reported, they are doing everything they can to help Amanda,” said Arminak.

    A source told People that Rick and Lynn Bynes, the 28-year-old actor’s parents, are relieved that their daughter is being cared for. “They’re happy she’s safe and that Amanda is finally getting some help,” said the source.

    Meanwhile, the Bynes siblings have spoken about their sister’s accusations on Twitter that their father had abused her when she was a child. “We are disturbed beyond words that Amanda would come up with such a fabrication as a way to avoid getting much needed help or treatment… We absolutely give our full unconditional love and support to our wonderful parents,” said Jillian O’Keefe and Tommy Bynes in a statement coursed through Arminak.

    The plan to get Bynes under psychiatric hold reportedly involved the participation of Sam Lutfi, one-time manager of singer Britney Spears. According to TMZ, Lutfi contacted Bynes on last Thursday, and convinced her to fly to Los Angeles to sue her parents. Apparently, Bynes was told that she would first be dropped off at a lawyer’s office before being driven to The London Hotel to confront her parents about the lawsuit. Lutfi’s deception allowed Bynes to be taken to the Pasadena hospital so that she could be placed under psychiatric hold.

Frozen toys have topped lists of most wanted toys this Christmas, including The Toy Insider Holiday Guide: Hot 20 List and a list made by Toys “R” Us.

    The Toy Insider Holiday Guide: Hot 20 List was compiled by Adventure Publishing Group and includes two items from Frozen, The Disney Frozen Cool Tunes Sing-along Boombox and the Snow Glow Elsa Doll. The first toy is a karaoke system that plays songs from the Oscar-winning soundtrack of the animated film, while the second toy is a doll based on the character Elsa, who can control ice and snow. Both toys are priced between $29.99 – $34.99 in the US.

    The Snow Glow Elsa Doll was also chosen as a top toy this Christmas by Toys “R” Us, which claims on its website that its experts have spent “countless hours of testing each toy each toy to make sure it’s as fun as it can be!”

    “It’s going to be a Frozen Christmas, ice cold. The appeal is so broad, and it’s such a wonderful story that parents are happy to put merchandise like this in their kids’ hands,” Laurie Schacht, president of Adventure Publishing told Bloomberg.

    Last year, toymakers were reportedly caught off guard by the success of Frozen, which garnered more than $1 billion in ticket sales, making it the fifth-highest grossing film of all time. Apparently, toymakers could not keep up with the demand for Frozen-related toys, which resulted in Frozen dresses being sold online for more than $1,000. This Christmas, Disney and its licensees are more prepared for the demand for Frozen toys with larger inventories of a wider range of products.

    According to Business Insider, there are a variety of Frozen toys and products available for children this Christmas. Princess Anna and Queen Elsa dresses, which were previously sold online at extremely high prices, light up and play 16-second clips of songs from the film. A set of Anna and Elsa dolls designed by Frozen animators features satin dresses and extra outfits and retails for $99.95, while Mattel’s Castle and Ice Palace Playset provides a play setting for each of the Frozen sisters. Meanwhile, fans of Olaf the Snowman can get the Hide-and-Hug Olaf, a stuffed toy that comes with a book detailing a new story from Frozen, or the Olaf Snow Cone Maker, which turns ice cubes into a frozen dessert.

    The voice of Darth Vader comes back to haunt the rebels when James Earl Jones reprises his iconic voice acting role in the pilot for the animated series Star Wars Rebels. For the ABC broadcast of Star Wars Rebels: Spark Of Rebellion, which happens later this month, producers will add a scene that includes a cameo for Jones as the terrifying Sith lord.

    Jones played the role of Darth Vader (with actor David Prowse in the suit) in the original Star Wars trilogy as well as in Revenge Of The Sith. Since Star Wars Rebels happens between the prequels and the original trilogy, Jones will reprise his role as Darth Vader in a cameo in the pilot as a treat for viewers who will catch it on ABC.

    “We wanted to do something special for the ABC broadcast. We’ve added a scene which gives audiences insight into the Inquisitor and includes a cameo by Darth Vader voiced by the distinguished actor James Earl Jones,” said executive producer Dave Filoni.

    According to a release from Disney, Star Wars Rebels: Mark of Rebellion garnered a viewership of 6.5 million when it aired on Disney Channel last week. The series will premiere on October 13 and has reportedly been picked up for a second season. Meanwhile, the ABC rebroadcast of the pilot in which Jones stars will be shown on October 26.

    Jones has also been busy with his Broadway play You Can’t take It With You, in which he plays the role of Grandpa Vanderhoff, the patriarch of an eccentric New York family. Jones claimed in a CNN interview that the play was his first time to be in a comedy. When asked why it took so long for him to star in one, Jones said, “I guess I thought if you… if you took acting seriously, you had to take acting as serious, you know, and serious stuff.”

    Last Wednesday, Williams gave her two cents about Lawrence’s comments in Vanity Fair during the Hot Topics portion of The Wendy Williams Show. “Um, it’s not your choice, it’s in the Cloud and I’ve looked several times. So I guess I’m disgusting for looking?” Williams asked. She then asked her audience to clap if they’d looked at Lawrence’s pictures as well, which garnered a smattering of applause.

    One of the points that Williams talked about was how Lawrence said in the Vanity Fair interview that she took those photos for the sake of her long-distance relationship, in the hopes that her boyfriend would look at her instead of porn. However, Williams countered the comment by saying, “Men would look at both.”

    Williams reportedly said that if Lawrence “would just stop talking about the Cloud and the naked pictures” that the matter would “go away.”

    “Besides, Jen, you don’t look bad under your clothes and I think the ‘hackilation’ has actually made your career even hotter. ‘Cause she was red hot before but now it’s like heat-seeking missile hot. So hold your head up with pride!” Williams said.

    Despite their honesty, the comments made by Williams unfortunately don’t quite address the fact that Lawrence did not give people permission to look at her naked photos, including the TV host. MTV.com said that hackers not only stole Lawrence’s photos but gave people like Williams the false impression that they were entitled to look at them.

    David seemingly joked about what Lawrence said. “Maybe she’s referring to her knees. I don’t think I could do it. On one hand it’s very flattering and on another hand, it’s kind of a shame—in terms of timing. I’d have fun watching the reality show of it though,” he said.

    Apparently a big fan of older comedians, Lawrence’s interview in the November issue of Vanity Fair was not entirely a laughing matter as it allowed her to seriously address the controversy surrounding her stolen nude photos that were leaked online by hackers. “I was just so afraid. I didn’t know how this would affect my career,” Lawrence told contributing editor Sam Kashner about her feelings when the news first broke.

    Lawrence met with Kashner for the interview a few weeks before the first batch of her nude photos were leaked online, but the editor reportedly reached out to her again after that in order to give her “a chance to have the last word” about the controversy.

    According to Mirror, Hitler and Braun became lovers in 1932, a relationship which the German people reportedly were unaware of until after the end of World War II. Braun apparently had her own rooms at Hitler’s residence in Berlin, but the couple were believed to never have slept in the same room and were never pictured in public together.
