  • Jennifer Lawrence Has Been Chosen As The New Face Of Dior Addict Makeup Line

Jennifer Lawrence has always been associated with Dior and now it seems that their love affair will continue indefinitely.

The French fashion house recently announced that aside from starring in ad campaigns for the brand’s ready to wear line Be Dior and Miss Dior handbags, the Hunger Games star is also the new face of the Dior Addict makeup line.

“As part of her involvement, Jennifer Lawrence will be seen appearing in commercials and a custom-made print campaign for the brand- engaging young, confident women who exude the vibrant, seductive flair of Dior Addict makeup,” the company’s press release stated.

Dior Addict Lipstick Collection is slated to be re-launched on September 1 of this year and will feature 44 brand new hues, as well as a new formula.

The makeup line’s first official photos have already been released and showcase the 24-year-old rocking a light, bubblegum pink lipstick, peach blush, bronze eyeshadow, dark lashes and dark brows.

The American Hustle star’s fresh faced appeal clearly shone through and was set perfectly off with a windswept updo.

There also seems to be less Photoshopping involved as a few of Lawrence’s freckles were clearly visible. It’s a nice nod to the down-to-earth actress who’s usually very open to the fact that her glamorous pictures often required some professional help.

“I love Photoshop more than anything in the world,” the actress told Access Hollywood one time before admitting that “of course it’s Photoshop; people don’t look like that.”

This will be quite a change for Lawrence as her previous ad campaigns with Dior usually revolve around its clothing line, bags and accessories.

It’s a great move for the fashion house as Lawrence is set to appear on red carpets in the next few months for the last installment of the Hunger Games and the biopic Joy.

  • Sonja Morgan Apparently Needs A ‘Snatch Guard’ And A New Attitude, Wreaks Havoc At Birthday Bash

What was supposed to be Ramona Singer’s birthday bash turned out to be all about Sonja Morgan’s drama in the latest episode of the Real Housewives of New York.

The sniping and catfights started even before the housewives left for Atlantic City, with Heather Thomson calling Sonja a “f***ing bitch” for refusing to let her, Kristen Taekman and Dorinda Medley in her house even though it was raining.

The situation didn’t improve much when the ladies were finally in the limo on their way to the Borgata Hotel. The bickering got so bad that the birthday girl got fed up and screamed at them all to “sit here and shut the f**k up all of you. This is my birthday weekend, I’ve had enough stress with my life!”

Carole Radziwill and LuAnn de Lesseps joined them at the hotel and from that point on the drama and bitchiness escalated. Bethenny Frankel brought the already tipsy Sonja to tears within a few minutes of starting dinner while poor LuAnn became Sonja’s designated “snatch guard” when they went dancing later.

“OMG, keep your legs together woman,” LuAnn wrote in her Bravo blog about Sonja’s tendency to flash her private parts when she’s drunk.

“Unfortunately, my hands were not large enough to keep the crowd from getting an eyeful,” she added.

If LuAnn was the snatch guard, Dorinda was unofficially tasked with getting Sonja to bed, a feat that she amazingly accomplished without blowing up on Lady Morgan.

Surprisingly, Bethenny tried to have a little heart to heart talk with Sonja the following morning, telling her that the pills she’s taking for stress and anxiety don’t work well with alcohol.

“You have to take care of yourself because it’s coming out. It needs to be fixed and I will help you,” Bethenny promised.

Unfortunately, Sonja doesn’t appear too keen on taking Bethenny up on her offer of help.

  • Millionaire Matchmaker: Kenya Moore Devastated Over Boyfriend’s Marriage But His New Wife Dismisses Her Claims

Millionaire Matchmaker might have to give Kenya Moore a refund, or at the very least a discount, for her very public, failed romance with boyfriend James Freeman.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star met Freeman on the Millionaire Matchmaker series and the two were said to have hit it off.

At least, that’s the impression that Moore gave on social media.

The former Miss USA shared a photo of her and Freeman after her Millionaire Matchmaker episode aired on March 22 with the caption “sometimes you can spend your whole life looking for Prince Charming when a King arrives.”

Moore even sparked engagement rumors when she posted a photo of an intricate diamond ring on her finger while she was in Las Vegas for the Mayweather – Pacquiao fight.

But it turned out that Freeman is no longer a free man, having gotten hitched on April 3 to pro beach volleyball player Jaimi Gregory.

And as expected, the 44-year-old reality star took to social media to express her feelings.

“Unfortunately, I just learned today that the man I met and fell in love with from Millionaire Matchmaker was married a week after the show aired. I am astounded and devastated to have learned this news VIA social media as opposed to from him directly,” Moore ranted on Instagram but added that “I still believe in love and my heart remains open to the man God has for me.”

A photo posted by Kenya Moore (@thekenyamoore) on

But Freeman’s new wife is dismissing the reality star’s heartbroken claims, saying that Moore knew all along that Freeman had fallen in love with someone else and was getting married.

Gregory added that Moore was actually more concerned that Freeman was “ruining her brand” and was insisting that they talk in person, but he wasn’t open to that. “This was obviously a publicity stunt,” Gregory added.

  • Elin Nordegren: Will She Get Back Together With Tiger Woods Now That Lindsey Vonn Is Out Of The Picture?

Tiger Woods’ split from Lindsey Vonn was sudden and surprising, but can this pave the way for a reunion with his ex-wife Elin Nordegren?

The Olympic skier announced the news on her Facebook page, telling fans that “after nearly three years together, Tiger and I have mutually decided to end our relationship.”

“Unfortunately, we both lead incredibly hectic lives that force us to spend a majority of our time apart,” Vonn further explained.

Fans of both Woods and Vonn were surprised by the split as the two looked happy together and appeared to be taking their relationship into a more permanent status.

But a source close to the ex-flames said that the split was caused by Woods cheating on Vonn after withdrawing from the Farmer’s Insurance Open last February. The embattled golfer is notorious for the long string of affairs that he kept from his first wife, Elin Nordegren and which led to her much publicized smashing of his car windows.

The source added that to Woods’ credit “he decided to confess to Lindsey. Something he didn’t do with Elin.”

Unfortunately for Woods, Vonn didn’t buy it and walked out on him, perhaps knowing that the alleged indiscretion wouldn’t be the last.

But now that he’s single again, some people are saying that the odds are good that Woods might reunite with Nordegren. A gambling website has even listed the odds of that happening at 7-1.

Those odds might go up even higher now that the ex-couple have managed to carve out a good relationship for the sake of their sons.

“My relationship with Tiger is centered around our children and we are doing really good – we really are – and I am so happy that is the case,” Nordegren said in an interview. “He is a great father.”

Insiders say that Vonn was actually uncomfortable with Woods’ relationship with his ex-wife and afraid that he might go back to her one day.

  • Natalee Holloway: New Witness Comes Forward With Shocking Claims About Her Disappearance

A decade after her disappearance, Natalee Holloway’s family might finally get some closure as a new witness claims he saw what happened to the teenager.

The witness, Jurrien De Jong, has come forward with shocking claims that he saw the 18-year-old Holloway on the last night she was alive.

De Jong told Inside Edition that he saw suspect Joran van der Sloot carrying her body on the night she vanished.

Jurrien De Jong claims he saw Joran Van Der Sloot chase Natalee Halloway on the last night she was alive

“I saw that Joran was chasing Natalee into a small building under construction,” De Jong described. “In about five minutes he came out with Natalee in his arms, and slammed the body of Natalee on the floor, and then he made an opening in a crawl space.”

“I knew she was dead,” he concluded.

Joran van der Sloot has always been the primary suspect in the case and was even arrested twice but never charged.

The suspect, who was 17 at the time that Holloway disappeared, is currently serving time in a Peruvian prison for the murder of Stephany Flores, a college student.

He still denies any wrongdoing in connection to Holloway’s disappearance.

But why did it take De Jong 10 years to gather the nerve to come forward?

De Jong says that he didn’t go to the police at the time because he was involved in some illegal activities. But he decided to reveal what he saw after watching a TV report where van der Sloot confessed that Holloway was buried at sea.

It’s a claim that De Jong vehemently says is a lie based on what he saw that night.

Aruba’s prosecutor, Eric Olthof, says that his office is looking into De Jong’s claims and that the investigation might take about two months.

In the meantime, Holloway’s father Dave has returned to Aruba with a private detective and Inside Edition’s Lisa Guerrero to follow up on the new lead.

  • Kym Johnson And Dance Partner Robert Herjavec Seen Enjoying PDA-Filled Weekend

Kym Johnson and Robert Herjavec have parlayed their on-screen chemistry off-screen. Photos of the Dancing with the Stars partners kissing during a romantic weekend getaway have recently been making the rounds online.

The Shark Tank mogul and his dance partner have already been eliminated from the show and it looks like they’re using the short vacation to get over the sting of being booted out…and to further the chemistry that has been obvious from Day 1 of the season.

The duo, who have always referred to themselves as just doting “friends,” were seen locking lips poolside. They seemed relaxed, smiling and engaging in deep conversation. The two also didn’t seem to mind the cameras as they held hands or kissed in the hotel’s lobby.

Johnson herself has hinted that she was with someone this weekend, posting a photo of her foot alongside someone else’s, a fireplace and 2 cocktails clearly visible.

“Kick up your heels…it’s the weekend,” she captioned the photo.

    A photo posted by kymjohnson1 (@kymjohnson1) on

Fans of DWTS, as well as the other contestants, are unlikely to be surprised with the revelation, as the 51-year-old Herjavec and Johnson were said to have clicked right from the start.

Songwriter Riker Lynch said that they “all kind of sensed it from the very, very beginning” while dancer Derek Hough said he thinks the attraction “was instant.”

An insider says that Herjavec and the 38-year-old Johnson were just perfect for each other and that the relationship couldn’t have come at a better time for the businessman.

Herjavec recently separated from his wife of 15 years, Diane Plese.

“It’s been a terribly difficult year,” the avid investor said in an interview. “I was hollow and broken.”

But with Johnson, the source says Herjavec has found someone he has “insane chemistry” with and concludes that the two “are actually a great match.”

  • Erin Andrews Accused Of Ruining War Veteran’s Marriage Proposal With Eye-Rolling

It was a sweet and touching moment when Dancing with the Stars contestant and war veteran Noah Galloway proposed to his girlfriend Jamie Boyd.

But people who saw the proposal have also caught Erin Andrews rolling her eyes and looking annoyed and have called her out on it, saying that she has ruined the moment.

The special moment came after Galloway and his partner Sharna Burgess finished a Viennese waltz and were waiting for their scores in the skybox. DWTS producers had asked Boyd to join the duo and provide moral support for her boyfriend.

When asked about how he felt about Boyd being there to show her support, Galloway –who lost an arm and a leg in combat – replied that it “was one of the most amazing moments I have ever had.”

“This song, ‘The Time of My Life’, you give that to me. I have got to do this here,” the former soldier continued before getting down on one knee and asking Boyd “will you marry me?”

Everyone at the studio was emotional at the proposal but those watching a home didn’t like how Andrews, who was standing between the couple, reacted and tweets immediately started pouring in accusing her of “having the wrong expression” and for being “rude.”

The TV presenter explained her reaction was because she was emotional and that she was “trying not to bawl.”

“Uhhhhh it’s called an oh great I’m going to bawl on camera..ugly cry face alert,” the 37-year-old Andrews tweeted.

The sportscaster doesn’t seem to be all that bothered by the comments she’s been getting and even Galloway has come to her defense.

While talking to Mario Lopez on Extra, the veteran said that the comments were crazy and that “that is not Erin.”

“When the cameras were off, we were still in the red room back there and she was emotional, I mean Erin Andrews is amazing,” Galloway concluded.

  • Kandi Burruss Talks About The Two-Week Rule That’s Keeping Her Marriage Alive

Making a marriage work is hard enough, but it’s a thousand times harder when your every move and decision is caught on camera and broadcasted to thousands of viewers.

It’s a situation that Kandi Burruss and husband Todd Tucker understand only too well, but the couple seems to have finally found a nice compromise that will help their marriage.

Fans of the Real Housewives of Atlanta know the struggles the couple faced during their first year of marriage.

Aside from all the little adjustments that all newlyweds face, Kandi and Todd also had to deal with busy work schedules and their desire to have a baby.

Todd dividing his time between home and his job on the West Coast caused numerous arguments, with Kandi expressing her fear several times that he was cheating on her. At one point, Kandi even suggested that they try marriage counseling to help deal with their issues.

But despite their volatile first year as man and wife, Kandi and Todd stuck it out and appear to have found a way to keep their marriage going.

What’s their plan? Never spend more than two weeks apart.

The couple shared their new rule during an appearance on The Dr. Oz Show. According to Kandi, they agreed that they cannot be away from each other for more than 2 weeks.

“It’s mandatory,” she told Dr. Oz. “One of us has to figure out how to get to the other within the two weeks.”

The idea is a sound one. Studies have shown that while spending some time apart is beneficial to couples, spending quality time together is also necessary to form a bond that will get you through the ups and downs of life. There has to be a good balance between the two.

It seems that things are finally looking up for the couple and they’re now focusing on bigger and better things, like an addition to their family as well as a reality TV spinoff.

  • Vicki Gunvalson: Her Mother Dies And Bravo Airs Her Breakdown On Mother’s Day In ‘RHOC’ Trailer

Losing a loved one is a pain that never goes away, but imagine if you have to relive that moment with the rest of the world watching?

Vicki Gunvalson of the Real Housewives of Orange County experienced just that when Bravo released the trailer for season 10 of the series.

The trailer started out as with a lot of drama and bitching going on. One scene showed Gunvalson lamenting that she’s “being nailed to the cross like Jesus was” while in another she’s facing off against newest Housewife Meghan King Edmonds.

But the trailer’s final scene shows the usually cool and collected Gunvalson falling to the floor in hysterics after receiving a phone call.

It turned out to be the phone call that each one of us dreads receiving – the call that would inform us a love one has passed away.

The RHOC star was filming when she received the news that her beloved mother died in her sleep, the pain and shock causing her to break down.

The sad event happened earlier in the year, with the 53-year-old herself announcing on Instagram last February 4 that her “amazing, beautiful and strong mother passed on and is now with the love of her life my father in heaven.”

If using footage of someone breaking down because their parent just died wasn’t tasteless enough, Bravo released the trailer on Mother’s Day.

Fans of the show called out the channel for its rude and heartless move, and even Gunvalson weighed in.

“It’s the most terrible thing to have to re-live again… Especially on Mother’s Day,” the heartbroken reality star tweeted.

Aside from that totally insensitive segment, Gunvalson is also up in arms over allegations that her on-again, off-again boyfriend Brook Ayers’ cancer diagnosis is a sham.

“It’s nothing short of disgusting,” she told a fan after the Bravo trailer was aired.

The trailer for RHOC season 10 still continues to be aired on the NBC/ Universal-owned network.

  • Saida Grundy: Boston University Professor In Hot Water Over Racially Charged Tweets

Incoming BostonUniversity professor Saida Grundy has already polarized students even before coming to campus.

Dr. Grundy is set to work as an assistant professor of sociology and African-American studies. But her seemingly anti-white tweets have certain groups up in arms and students questioning her capability to teach a diverse classroom that would include white males.

In one tweet, Grundy asked “why is white America so reluctant to identify white college males as a problem population?” before tweeting that “white masculinity isn’t a problem for America’s colleges, white masculinity is THE problem for America’s colleges.”

Grundy also weighed in on several issues like the riot in Baltimore and Ben Affleck’s effort to hide a slave owning ancestor.

“dear white people: u are all ben affleck. those euphemisms for ur ancestors like “farmers” and “pioneers” means owned humans and killed natives,” she tweeted last month.

The vitriolic tweets were first noticed by University of Massachusetts Amherst student Nick Pappas and compiled them on his website SoCawlege.com.

The student also raised questions on Grundy’s qualification to grade her white male students work “as you clearly demonstrate some kind of special bias against them.”

Grundy’s new employer initially took up the cudgels for the new professor. BU spokesman Colin Riley clarified that Grundy was using her personal Twitter account and that she was “exercising her right to free speech and we respect her right to do so.”

But the school has since backtracked and amended its statement, especially after receiving complaints from students and emails from furious alumni threatening to pull financial support from the school.

“While we recognize that Dr. Grundy has the right to hold and express personal opinions, BU does not condone racism or bigotry in any form, and we are offended by such statements,” Riley stated in an interview.

The “feminist sociologist of race & ethnicity” has since made her Twitter account private. There’s also no indication whether or not Grundy would receive any disciplinary action for her tweets.

  • Jane Seymour: Divorced Four Times, Shares Thoughts On Getting Married Again

Jane Seymour is known for her acting and writing prowess, as well as her desire to give back to others. But during the recently held Open Hearts gala, the actress reminded people why she’s also known for her timeless beauty.

The 64-year-old looked effortlessly glamorous as she walked the red carpet for the Annual Open Hearts Foundation Gala’s fifth year.

The Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman rocked a strapless gown that showcased her youthful figure and evoked the summer season with its dainty floral print, side embellishments and chic ruffles.

The ageless actress attended the gala with ex-husband James Keach, who started the foundation with her.

Her divorce from Keach, which was finalized in April 2013, was “really, really, really hard,” according to the actress. But despite their differences, Seymour said that they both “found a way to have a new relationship, and move on so that’s what we’re doing.”

The former Bond girl also said that she and her ex-husband would always work together for their sons, 19-year-old twins, Johnny Stacy and Kristopher Steven.

“We realize the marriage may not be intact, but the family is intact and always will be,” Seymour explained. “We’ll always care for one another and care about one another. That doesn’t change.”

But it also doesn’t mean that Seymour has given up on men and love altogether.

The Live and Let Die star has admitted that she’s seeing someone but is not in a hurry to get married again.

“I don’t know if I need to get married again,” she shared. “There is someone in my life right now who I’m really enjoying. For right now this is very good.”

Seymour has been divorced 4 times already. Her first and second marriage to Michael Attenborough and Geoffrey Planer only lasted a few years. Her third marriage to David Flynn produced two children but also ended in divorce in 1992.

But who knows, even if she’s taking things slow Seymour might just take a page from her Open Hearts creation and keep her heart open for love (and marriage).

  • Dolly Parton: Hit Song ‘Coat Of Many Colors’ To Be Made Into A TV Movie

A day after announcing its 2015-2016 schedule, NBC got down to the brass tacks and unveiled its plan to turn Dolly Parton’s hit “Coat of Many Colors” into a TV movie that will be aired next season.

The made-for-TV movie pays homage to Parton’s 1971 hit, which she also claims as “her favorite.” The song, which is largely autobiographical, is about a girl whose mother made her a colorful coat out of rags given to her family. But when she wore her new coat to school, she was greeted with laughter from classmates who ridiculed her for wearing rags.

That girl would later grow up to write hit songs like “Jolene” and “9 To 5.” She would also have her own theme park and become one of the most loved country singers of all time.

Parton’s colorful coat would eventually be placed on display at her Chasing Rainbows Museum in Tennessee.

NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt announced the news with more fanfare than expected during the network’s upfront press event.

After announcing the news of Parton’s TV movie, the star actually walked out onstage and performed the songs “Colors” and “I Will Always Love You” with Greenblatt playing the piano.

The special is described as a look “inside the tight-knit Parton family as they struggle to overcome devastating tragedy and discover the healing power of love, faith, and a raggedy patchwork coat.”

Sources also say the TV movie is just the first of several Parton songs that will be adapted, as the network wants to bring more family-friendly programs to primetime.

While being treated to two songs by Parton was a nice touch, the upfront presentation was remarkably lacking in details about where the network’s new season was going.

Viewers and advertisers expecting an explanation on why the network seems to have abandoned comedy and news shows were left disappointed.

But here’s hoping that the 15-minute Dolly Parton interlude was enough to appease them.

  • ‘Imus In The Morning’ Gets Dropped By Fox, Network Unveils New Schedule

It has finally been made official. Long running politically incorrect radio show Imus in the Morning has been dropped by the Fox Business Network as part of the network’s daytime schedule revamp.

Controversial talk show host Don Imus himself shared the news two weeks ago that his 6-year run at the network was coming to an end. But insiders say the change has been on the table since the start of the year.

One source says that Imus was set on moving to Texas and after a discussion with Fox Business CEO Roger Ailes, the two decided to end their business relationship “amicably.”

Imus in the Morning is expected to continue broadcasting even after it leaves the FBN lineup, but it’s still unclear what network will distribute the program.

The show made its TV debut in 1996 on MSNBC but was dropped in 2007 after Imus made disparaging comments about the Rutgers women’s basketball team. Imus then moved his show to RFD-TV before being signed on by FBN in 2009.

The new and improved FBN lineup will kick-off on June 1 with a 5 a.m. market oriented show. It will be followed by Morning Money with Maria Bartiromo, a financial news show replacing Imus’ radio simulcast. Bartiromo’s show will run from 6-9 a.m.

It will be followed by Varney & Company from 9 a.m. till noon before giving way to Neil Cavuto’s Coast to Coast. The mid-market analysis show is Cavuto’s big move to daytime TV and will run for two hours.

FBN newbie Trish Regan will make her hosting debut at 2 p.m. with Trish Regan Intel, taking over the spot once held by Melissa Francis’ now defunct Money. Francis has instead been given co-anchoring duties at the After the Bell show with David Asman.

According to Ailes, the new lineup and earlier start time will give FBN the chance to provide “nonstop financial news with unparalleled market coverage and analysis.”

  • Cynthia Bailey And NeNe Leakes ‘Will Never Be Friends Like That Ever Again’

Best friends turned mortal enemies Cynthia Bailey and NeNe Leakes were at each other’s throats again during the reunion special of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

In the final episode of the 4 part reunion special, Bailey accused her former BFF of trying to get her fired from the show when their friendship fell apart after Season 6.

“I would never do that to you,” Bailey told Leakes. “I would never try to take food off your table.”

Leakes denied the claim and said that Bailey made the whole thing up, prompting a fresh round of arguments between the two. It probably didn’t help matters that Kandi Burruss dipped her toe in when she backed up Bailey.

But even though the relationship between Bailey and her erstwhile friend took on such an acrimonious turn, she still showed some regard for Leakes when she broke down during a group discussion with therapist Dr. Jeff.

The usually strong Leakes’ got emotional and walked out of the discussion when Dr. Jeff brought up her turbulent past and her relationship with her parents, particularly her mother.

Bailey was one of the first to hug and comfort her.

She later wrote in her Bravo TV blog that her natural reaction was to comfort Leakes.

“I had no idea how I would be received or what I would say to her, but my heart said go after her, and I did,” she wrote. “NeNe and I were friends. Regardless of what the status of that friendship was during the reunion, I never want to see her hurt.”

Some fans are hoping that Bailey’s show of support might be enough to prompt the two to bury the hatchet, but that’s unlikely to happen.

In a recent interview she gave at The Meredith Vieira Show, Leakes admitted that while she initially missed Bailey’s friendship they “will never be friends like that ever again.”

“I don’t wish her any harm. I actually wish her the best,” she added. “We just will never be friends again.”

  • Sean Hannity: Anjem Choudary Agrees With Death Threats Against Islamaphobe Pamela Geller

Fox News did what it does best again – giving two well-known extremists a platform to spew their hate.

Known Islamophobe Pam Geller, Muslim extremist Anjem Choudary and host Sean Hannity were embroiled in a 10-minute free-for-all shouting match during Hannity’s recent show.

The ratings-loving host invited the two to a discussion on Geller’s art exhibit/ contest where exhibitors showcased their drawings of Mohammed, Islam’s prophet. The contest sparked a shooting and two suspects with alleged ties to ISIS were shot down.

Hannity started the discussion by asking Geller if the FBI has contacted her about the “unverified” death threats made against her by a jihadist.

The known anti-Muslim activist said the FBI hasn’t reached out to her and further claimed that President Barack Obama should be the one providing her with protection because the environment he created “raised the stakes on this.”

Hannity then asked Choudary point-blank if he supported the “death threat against Pam Geller because she ran a free speech contest,” and the cleric more or less answered in the affirmative.

“This isn’t Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck they were drawing,” Choudary answered, “this is the prophet [and] this woman wants to have people draw cartoons that insult the prophet knowing full well that carries the death penalty in Islam. So definitely, she’s asking people to attack.”

As expected, that set Hannity off and he started shouting “You want her to die!”

Choudary responded to that accusation by saying that if Geller (who’s definitely not a Muslim) was tried in a Sharia court, she would have been found guilty and given the capital punishment.

The show rapidly went downhill from there.

All viewers could see and hear for the next couple of minutes was Hannity calling the cleric “evil and pathetic,” Geller taking jabs at Choudary for “stepping on women” and the imam accusing the US of “murdering innocent people.”

The short, vitriolic segment has been condemned by different sectors.

  • Idris Elba: Speed Loving Actor Breaks ‘Flying Mile’ Record In Bentley

Idris Elba has long been known for his need for speed, and now the British actor can add another feather to his racing cap with his new “flying mile” speed record.

The Thor actor smashed the 88-year-old record that was previously set by Sir Malcolm Campbell in 1927 at Pendine Sands, a beach in South Wales that has long been used for record speed runs.

Elba took the driver’s seat of a Bentley Continental GT Speed on Sunday and hit a top speed of 186.4 miles per hour during his flying mile attempt. His average speed for the run was 180.4 miles per hour, easily eclipsing the 174.2 miles per hour that Sir Campbell clocked.

In the flying mile, a car’s speed is timed between two points one mile apart from each other. But unlike other races, drivers gunning for the flying mile don’t have to start from a dead stop. The driver is allowed to build speed before going into the timed zone.

The Bentley that the 42-year-old used was a standard production car that wasn’t modified or enhanced for the challenge, unlike the specially built Napier-Campbell Blue Bird race car that was used by the previous title-holder.

“I’m absolutely elated to have broken the flying mile at Pendine Sands,” the Mandela actor said. “It’s an honor to have taken on the challenge and to successfully follow in the footsteps of the illustrious Sir Malcolm Campbell.”

The record run, which was verified by the UK Timing Association, is part of the Discovery Channel series Idris Elba: No Limits which is slated to be released this July.

The 4-part series is said to be a new extreme racing documentary for the channel which will see the Pacific Rim actor visiting big speed racing competitions and apprenticing under the field’s experts.

  • Melissa Rivers Says Jay Leno Snubbed Her Over Feud With Her Mother

It seems that old habits – and old grudges – die hard.

Melissa Rivers appears to be holding a grudge against Jay Leno for holding a grudge against her mother Joan Rivers.

The 47-year-old opened up on Howard Stern about how the former Tonight Show host snubbed her just months after her mother’s death.

Melissa recounted that she was asked to speak at The Hollywood Reporter Women in Entertainment breakfast in December, just 3 months after her mother passed away.

She said she got a text from her friend Sarah Silverman who informed her that Jay Leno would be seated at their table. When she started freaking out about it, her friend just said “I’ll take care of it.”

Joan was famously banned from The Tonight Show by Johnny Carson after she launched a short-lived show on rival network Fox.

The ban appeared to continue even when Carson was succeeded by Leno as Joan was never invited back during the host’s 20-year run on the show. Leno later admitted in an interview that he didn’t think Carson “wanted to see her on the show.”

Howard Stern talks about Jay Leno’s ban f Joan Rivers on ‘The Tonight Show’ (explicit dialogue)

While Silverman was able to make other seating arrangements for Melissa, the actress still had a run-in with Leno.

“I walk in, and I’m standing, having a coffee in the reception area, and Jay….looks right at me, and looks away,” she described to Stern on his radio show.

Melissa added that she thought he would at least approach her and offer his condolences.

“It would have been closure, and it would have been the right thing to do,” Melissa said.

She then shared that she thought to herself that Leno had “no courage” for not making an effort to talk to her.

But in a statement, Leno’s rep said that it was all a misunderstanding and that the host didn’t recognize Melissa.

“Had he done so, he would’ve come over to extend his condolences,” the rep said.

  • Kristen Wigg Gets Scared By A Ghost On The Ellen DeGeneres Show

There was something strange in the neighborhood, or at least on the set of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. So who you gonna call? Kristen Wiig.

If she wasn’t afraid of ghosts, that is.

The Saturday Night Live alum was literally scared out of her chair when a ghost, or a man dressed as a ghost, popped out of the side table.

Wiig started her segment talking fashion – throwback fashion, in particular – with DeGeneres when she shared a throwback photo of herself in a perm.

The picture showed the Welcome to Me star rocking a long-sleeved, white lace gown for an aunt’s wedding.

“That was the Annie perm,” the 41-year-old comedienne explained. “I got a perm and put Sun-In in my hair because of Annie.”

The conversation then shifted to Wiig’s upcoming Ghostbusters 3 role and how excited she was about it.

But when asked whether she believed in ghosts, Wiig replied with a tentative “Yeah, sure.”

The 57-year-old DeGeneres then pointed out that she seemed hesitant.

“No, but I mean there’s different kinds I guess,” Wigg replied.

At that moment, an “Ellen” crew member dressed as a ghost suddenly popped out and scared the crap out of the actress, prompting her to fall out of her chair screaming.

“Oh my God!” she said while clutching her chest. “That was terrifying!”

DeGeneres looked like she really enjoyed the prank she pulled and told Wiig that “I knew you would be scared.”

The Bridesmaids actress then took several large set pieces from the pile given to her earlier as payment for her trauma.

“Because you did that. I get those! That was terrifying,” Wiig jokingly said. “That was really scary. Look at my hands.”

The Ghostbusters reboot also stars Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones. Bridesmaids’ Paul Feig will be directing.

  • Rosie O’Donnell’s Ex Michelle Rounds Is A No-Show For Child Custody Battle

Rosie O’Donnell’s divorce from Michelle Rounds is turning into an acrimonious soap opera.

The comic arrived at a New York City courthouse ready to fight for custody of her two-year-old adopted daughter Dakota.

However, O’Donnell’s estranged wife was noticeably absent.

Rounds’ lawyer William London said that his client decided to stay home to care of her sick toddler.

“The nanny delivered the child (to Rounds) Monday afternoon and she had a fever of 104.3,” London said.

But the custody hearing still continued despite Rounds’ no-show and a brief meltdown by O’Donnell.

The former View co-host allegedly became furious when she noticed that there were reporters present in the hearing.

“Press? There’s press here?” the 53-year-old asked before adding “could you ask them to leave?”

The reporters present reminded the comedienne that the courtrooms were open to the public but O’Donnell was having none of it.

The embattled TV host was subsequently escorted to a locked room across the hall before the proceedings could commence.

O’Donnell’s lawyer Elyse Goldweber, and at one point even Judge Lori Sattler, had to shuttle from the judge’s chambers to O’Donnell’s room.

O’Donnell was later seen leaving the courthouse with security via a back entrance.

Neither lawyers from both sides spoke publicly about the initial session, aside from London simply saying that “the custody case is proceeding.”

O’Donnell and Rounds were married for three years and adopted Dakota during that time. They officially split last February.

The divorce took a vitriolic turn when Rounds decided to file for complete custody of her daughter over claims that O’Donnell is an unfit parent.

A recent TMZ report stated that Rounds’ divorce documents allegedly accused O’Donnell of drinking a bottle of red wine every night and smoking weed.

A representative for O’Donnell decried the allegations and said that “this is an absurd and desperate attempt to use a child for her own gain.”

  • Lindsay Lohan Short On Her Community Service Hours, Could Face Arrest

For a minute there, it seemed like Lindsay Lohan’s problems with the law are over.

But reports that she might not have finished the extra community service hours given her could land the one-time famous actress in jail.

The Parent Trap star is scheduled for a probation progress report on Thursday but according to Santa Monica City Attorney Terry White, the actress has done less than 20 of 125 extra community service hours.

The additional hours of community service was tacked on her probation after White challenged the log sheet she submitted in January for her 2012 reckless driving conviction.

“There were things she did that didn’t qualify as community service,” White explained at the time.

The prosecutor was referring to the 28-year-old actress’ dubious claims that youth volunteers “shadowing” her and appearing in a play are considered community service activities.

“We’ll probably ask that her probation be revoked,” Santa Monica City Attorney Terry White told the New York Daily News on Wednesday. “It doesn’t appear she’s taking it very seriously.”

The former child star has until May 28 to complete her community service hours but White appears to be tired of giving the actress another chance.

“She’s had more than enough opportunity to finish,” the prosecutor claims. “But she turned in some hours that were extremely suspect, that the court disallowed, and now, given the last chance of all last chances, she’s come up woefully short.”

Lohan, who’s doing her community service through London based Community Service Volunteers, tried to make it appear that she’s busy when she posted a photo on Instagram of a stack of envelopes with the caption “Community Service – office day”.

It’s doubtful that the prosecutor and the judge will be swayed by that pathetic attempt.

However, in the event that the judge finally gets fed up and does issue an arrest warrant, Lohan can simply stay in London forever.

After all, the US has no extradition treaty for a misdemeanor.

  • Mindy Kaling’s TV Show Gets Canceled By Fox But Hulu Might Pick It Up

Mindy Kaling’s TV Show Gets Canceled By Fox But Hulu Might Pick It Up

After months of speculation, Fox finally cancels the The Mindy Project.

Reports say that Mindy Kaling’s comedy series won’t be picked up for a fourth season at Fox.

The series, about a successful doctor who dreams of getting her personal and romantic life on track, was already facing an uncertain future.

The network considers the show’s ratings not up to broadcast standards, despite a cult following and strong online viewing and social media presence.

However, there’s still hope for loyal viewers who are dying to know what will happen next to the show’s protagonist and its cliffhanger ending.

Sources report that Universal Television is currently in talks with Hulu, which is said to be keen on taking on the Mindy Project for “multiple additional seasons.”

For a lot of people who believe the show might be better served if it’s in a digital platform, Hulu is the perfect choice for a new home.

The online streaming service already carries past seasons of the Mindy Project and is also dead set on expanding its original lineup with series like J.J Abrams’ 11/22/63 and Jason Reitman’s Casual.

However, Hulu and Fox have remained tight-lipped about the news, neither confirming any cancellations or renewals.

But the Internet is not taking the news of the cancellation lightly.

Eonline.com has asked fans to help save the Mindy Project with an article listing 11 reasons why another network (like Hulu) should save the show.

    The website also wrote:

“Dear Fellow Fans: Let’s Tweet and Facebook and Snapchat and carrier pigeon this story to everyone you know, asking them to share it with the hashtag #HuluSaveMindy. Let’s get it trending so Hulu hears us loud and clear!”

But even before this call to action appeared, fans have already started to vent their anger at Fox on Twitter, while imploring Hulu to pick up their favorite show.
