  • Anna Faris Likes Chubbier Men Says Husband Chris Pratt

    It appears that Anna Faris likes her men a bit on the chubby side. At least, that’s what her husband Chris Pratt is telling people.

    In a recent GQ interview, the Parks and Recreation funnyman revealed that his wife Anna Faris actually prefers his heavier shape.

    But we’re pretty sure that Faris doesn’t mind Pratt’s new, bulky bod, as do his fans.

    The 35-year-old actor had to drop 60lbs and put on a more muscular frame to film the hit Guardians of the Galaxy.

    The move has also brought about a kind of renaissance for the erstwhile comedian, as he’ll be seen in several more movies that would require him to maintain his buff physique.

    The accidental action star will soon be seen in Jurassic World. He also has The Magnificent Seven reboot in the pipeline, as well as the next Guardians of the Galaxy offering. But while he’s getting more attention now, Pratt still remembers the time he was virtually invisible when out with his wife Faris.

    “I’ve had those moments… where I was like the guy holding the purse at events and people just looked right through me,” Pratt reminisces. “And, you know, actors come up and just blatantly hit on my wife in front of me and don’t even look at me. I’m like, ‘What the f–k, dude?’”

    Well, Star Lord is just waiting for them to cross his path again.

    “I can think of exactly who they are, too, and I hope they f–king audition for Guardians of the Galaxy,” he said.

    But whether or not those actors do audition for the next Guardians movie, Pratt is undeniably content with his life with Faris and their 2-year-old son Jack.

    He’s even willing to put the pounds back on and just retire in a ranch somewhere for them.

    Julianne Hough is one woman who appears to be on top of her game. But the sultry dancer has admitted to having moments when she’s less than 100% confident about her looks.

    The two-time Dancing with the Stars champion made the surprising revelation in an interview for Yahoo Style.

    “I still have not mastered feeling 100 percent confident in my body,” the actress shared. “I still have days where I look in the mirror and say, ‘Thanks, Grandma, for giving me my thighs!’”

    But she’s already moving past that negative mindset, thanks to her boyfriend, NHL player Brooks Laich.

    According to the Rock of Ages actress, her boyfriend always asks her “Why is that whenever you take a picture and look at you, you want to take another one? Can’t you just be happy with the actual picture where we’re together?”

    The 26-year-old admits that his questions made her realize one simple truth – that she has to learn to love herself. And it’s something that she’s working on.

    “So I’ve now had to coach myself to look at a picture and not say, ‘Do I look good in it?’ but ‘That’s a great picture, overall,’” she adds.

    And if her latest photo shoot is anything to go by, it appears she’s embracing that epiphany.

    It’s also a mindset that she wants to impart in her new lifestyle website.

    Her website, which was launched last March, features articles on subjects like home décor, fashion and even recipes. But her posts also encourage people to do acts of kindness.

    “I want girls to know they have the power within them to be happy and to feel great. That’s what those challenges are,” the DWTS judge explains. “It’s not to show how great you are; it’s more to get that feeling of, ‘Oh, this feels so good—to be happy!’ I just want everybody to be happy.”

  • Emily Blunt Speaks Out Against Cannes’ ‘Very Disappointing’ Policy

    It apparently doesn’t matter if you’re wearing diamond encrusted sandals. If a woman wants to attend a film screening in Cannes, then she better strap on her high heels.

    This surprising development has had people up in arms and prompted actress Emily Blunt to speak out against the festival’s “very disappointing” rule.

    The brouhaha on heels happened when the Screen Daily wrote that a “handful of women in their fifties were turned away from the screening of Todd Haynes’ competition entry Carol on Sunday night after being told the height of their smart footwear didn’t pass muster.”

    To make matters worse, some of the women turned away for wearing flats were older guests with medical conditions.

    That’s pretty ironic considering the movie, a 1950s lesbian romance, is geared towards audiences of the female persuasion.

    When asked about her thoughts on the incident, the Sicario star said that it was very disappointing, especially when you consider that “there’s these new waves of equality and waves of people realizing that women are so fascinating and interesting to watch, and bankable [on screen].”

    The Devil Wears Prada star also said that “Everyone should wear flats to be honest.”

    “We shouldn’t be wearing high heels anyways. That’s my point of view. I just prefer wearing Converse sneakers,” Blunt shared.

    The 32-year-old actress isn’t the only one who has spoken out against this rule. Several Cannes guests have also mentioned experiencing the same footwear discrimination.

    Festival director Thierry Fremaux has denied the report and called it “unfounded.”

    But Blunt’s Sicario teammates are taking a stand against the cheekily dubbed “flatgate” issue.

    Director Denis Villeneuve announced that “in a sign of protest, Benicio, Josh, and I will walk the stairs [of the Palais] in high heels tomorrow.”

    Now that is one event that the media should not miss.

    Indiana Jones just got a makeover courtesy of Anna Kendrick.

    The Pitch Perfect 2 star donned Indy’s iconic dusty fedora and trusty whip for a video that promotes Red Nose Day.

    The clip perfectly parodies the classic scene from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade where Indy finds the knight guarding the Holy Grail. But this time around, the 700-year-old Templar Knight appears to be taken by Kendrick’s Indianna, gives her advice and tells her things like it’s “such a plain cup for such a pretty lady.”

    Indianna then makes off with all the relics but also puts the Knight in his place by telling him she’s a professor of archeology and that “times have changed, man!”

    The hilarious scene perfectly rips-off the classic movie while giving a sly nod to all-female reboots.

    The actress will be joined by other celebrities like Dame Helen Mirren, Jimmy Fallon, Liam Neeson, One Direction and Zac Efron in America’s first ever celebration of Red Nose Day on May 21.

    The event will feature comedy and musical performances, Funny or Die videos and short films that cast a light on the plight of those in need.

    Fans can also look forward to performances by their favorite Game of Thrones stars. And if the teaser video filmed by Peter Dinklage is anything to go by, it will be a show stopper.

    Red Nose Day is a very famous event in the United Kingdom that’s dedicated to raising money for children and young people who’re living in poverty. The day has raised more than $1 billion over the last 30 years and has now reached America’s shores.

    People are encouraged to have fun while raising money for the worthy cause. Participants can organize their own fun fundraising activities or they can help by buying red noses from Walgreens and Duane Reade stores. They can also watch and donate during the 3-hour special NBC telecast.

    Good news for Rita Ora fans. The singer has reportedly filmed a secret music video with the “Material Girl” herself, Madonna.

    The “Vogue” songstress and the 24-year-old Ora were said to have developed a friendship after meeting at different showbiz events. An insider even commented there was a “real connection” there that went beyond the normal business-related relationships.

    Ora was one of the few people who came to 56-year-old music superstar’s defense after the incident with Drake and the two became closer after that.

    During a performance at Coachella, Madonna pulled Drake into a passionate French kiss that was typical of the “Like a Virgin” star. But Drake appeared to be disgusted by the kiss, and was seen making a face and wiping his mouth afterwards.

    The singer received a not so small amount of ridicule after the incident.

    But Ora came to Madonna’s defense, posting a steamy 90’s photo of the pop legend on Instagram that showed off her athletic body in pasties and a sheer leotard.

    “Thank you for fighting all these ageist battles, and paving a way, that just maybe one day, all of us ‘Younger’ Artists won’t have too in the future,” Ora’s message said.

    And it seemed that Madonna was appreciative of the gesture as well.

    A music video with an icon like Madonna might just be the extra push the “I Will Never Let You Down” hit maker needs to make it big in the US.

    “It’s an incredible coup for Rita to do a vid with Madonna and shows how big she is becoming in the States,” a source close to the singer said.

    And Ora was so excited that she even “changed her schedule to be able to do the filming in an instant.”

    This isn’t the first time that the two have worked together. The British singer has also been tapped to be the face of Material Girl, Madonna and daughter Lourdes’ clothing line.

  • Taye Diggs Is Next To Rock Hedwig’s Wigs In New Broadway Role

    Hold on to your wigs and high heels. Taye Diggs is set to play the title role in Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

    After weeks of subtle hints, it’s been formally announced that Taye Diggs will be stepping into Hedwig’s heels after Darren Criss’ finishes his run as everyone’s favorite international song stylist.

    The man who helped Stella get her groove back will be seen performing at Broadway’s Belasco Theater starting July 22. It will be a 12-week engagement and Diggs will be performing alongside Rebecca Naomi Jones, who’s set to continue portraying Yitzhak.

    “Taye is fantastic—he has theater cred, he has pop culture cred, he can sing, he can act, he can dance, he’s smart and he’s sexy,” lead producer David Binder explains Diggs’ casting.

    Well, he certainly has that and more.

    Diggs’ was part of the original cast of Rent. He has also appeared in Chicago, Carousel, off-Broadway’s The Wild Party and briefly played Fiyero in Wicked opposite then-wife Idina Menzel.

    The 44-year-old thespian also counts Brown Sugar, How Stella Got Her Groove Back, Private Practice and The Best Man among his acting credentials.

    Diggs’ performance in Hedwig is quite relevant as he’ll be the first African-American actor to play the character on Broadway, a fitting match to co-star Jones who’s also the first black Yitzhak.

    Hedwig and the Angry Inch revolves around Hedwig, an East German musician who undergoes a sex changed operation. Unfortunately, the failed operation prompted him to move to Kansas and assume a female persona.

    Neil Patrick Harris starred in the first Broadway production of Hedwig in 2014 and introduced the play to a brand new generation. His Tony award-winning performance was continued by Andrew Rannells, Michael C. Hall and Darren Criss.

    And with Taye Diggs taking over soon, Hedwig’s glitter covered heels will undoubtedly dance their way to a lot more hearts.

  • ‘Married At First Sight’ Attracts And Repulses Viewers At The Same Time

    Marrying a total stranger is a bad idea. Marrying one on television sounds even worse, but that’s what Married at First Sight is all about.

    The Australian reality show, which is based on a Danish show of the same name, revolves around 4 couples who agreed to get married on the first day that they will meet. The pairs, which were matched by three experts, will spend their wedding night in a hotel before heading off on their honeymoon. They will live together for a month, after which they will choose whether to stay together or get divorced.

    The show’s first episode has already aired to mixed reactions. A majority of viewers lambasted the show, calling it an “insult to marriage” while others think of it as a new low standard for reality shows.

    But despite the negative reactions, there are those who found the show to be their new guilty pleasure and have already started rooting for one of the couples.

    While the show’s premise can be off-putting for some who think it disregards the sanctity of marriage, the first episode was compelling in its raw honesty and refreshing with its realism.

    In the first episode, audiences were introduced to couples Clare and Lachlan and Michael and Roni. While Michael and Roni seem to start out well, it was the opposite for Clare and Lachlan.

    Clare Tamas, a 37-year-old marketing manager, was seen having a panic attack at the idea of marrying Lachlan, a sensitive and soft-spoken farmer.

    The bride seems standoffish at first and even avoided looking at her new husband. But her feelings seem to have melted during the reception when Lachlan gave a heartrending speech about his late father.

    “Lachlan’s speech moved me,” Clare admitted. “I didn’t expect a guy to be so open, honest and willing to commit so it’s now made me want to drop any barriers or inhibitions I had in place.”

    The slow and reluctant start to their marriage has certainly made viewers want to see what will happen next.

  • ‘Black Skinhead’ Performance Was Disastrous, Kanye West Gets Booed At Billboard Awards

    Kanye West had the honor of wrapping up this year’s Billboard Music Awards Night with a spectacular performance.

    Well, it would’ve been spectacular if the audience could see him or if they could at least hear him.

    But alas, the “Black Jesus” singer spent most of his 5 minute set shrouded in smoke from the pyrotechnics. His song was also so heavily censored that it took away the impact of his performance.

    Kanye’s night didn’t start out well either.

    Keeping up with the Kardashians sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner took to the stage to introduce their brother-in-law, Dr. West (in deference to his honorary doctorate, I guess) and were promptly booed by the audience inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

    And if that wasn’t awkward enough, when Kanye actually started performing his hits “All Day” and “Black Skinhead” with Allan Kingdom and Theophilus London, the audience could barely see him through the haze created by the abundance of smoke and flames.

    His song’s lyrics were also so heavily censored that viewers at home were treated to moments of complete silence – and I mean complete silence – no backing track, no crowd noises.

    It was a flaming disaster right from the start.

    But Yeezy is nothing but a total performer. Despite everything, he just kept performing and plowed through while trying to keep the live audience energized.

    Unfortunately, his all-out performance didn’t sit well with both the viewers and the MGM crowd. Reports say that Kanye was booed at the end of his set while Twitter exploded from all the negative comments about the performance.

    According to the show’s organizers, they were caught by surprise when Kanye started his profanity-laced performance.

    Insiders told TMZ that the rapper didn’t do a dress rehearsal but producers assumed Kanye would do a clean version.

    “He knew it was national TV,” the insider said.

  • Bruce Jenner Is ‘Beautiful’ In A Dress, Admits To Stealing Kim Kardashian’s Outfits

    It is only a matter of time before we will start seeing former Olympian Bruce Jenner in glamorous female outfits but Kim Kardashian apparently already had a sneak peak. In her latest interview with Access Hollywood, she revealed that she has already seen her stepfather in a dress and that he looked beautiful in it.

    Kim related, “It was amazing and she looked beautiful, really beautiful. She was dressed up, beautiful makeup, beautiful hair, very, very beautiful and very comfortable.”

    Along with Bruce’s gender transition also comes a drastic shift in his fashion sense. Lucky for him, his fashionable family is there to the rescue. Last Sunday, on the second part of Keeping Up with the Kardashians: About Bruce, he invited Kim over to his home in Malibu for some fashion advice. What his daughter didn’t know was that she was in for a startling confession.

    While going through a rack of clothes, Bruce said, “Can I confess?” To which Kim responded, “What? You copy my outfits.” Bruce then replied, “No. I stole your outfit!”

    “What? You stole my outfit?” Kim screamed in disbelief but she just smiled it off as she continued to go through Bruce’s new clothes.

    Kim is not the only Kardashian sister who is helping Bruce with his new-found fashion sense. In the first part of the KUWTK special, Khloe Kardashian also gifted him with several pairs of size 13M high heels. She even purchased him the same white pair that she has so they can wear matching shoes.

    In the episode, Khloe said, “I don’t know her taste yet so I’m trying to figure it out.” Turns out Bruce is feeling the same way too. “To be honest with you, I don’t know her taste either,” he confessed.

    While Bruce’s new fashion sense might be a new thing among the Kardashian-Jenner clan, it isn’t for the media as last April, several sources have claimed to have spotted him stepping out of his home wearing a long dress. According to the reports, the father of six looked “more womanly than ever.”

    Bruce isn’t shy to express his enthusiasm either. In his revealing interview with Diane Sawyer last April, he opened up about building a “glam room” where he will store his new collection of clothing, apparel and accessories. “We’re going to totally rock this place!” he excitedly announced.

  • Michelle Obama Vs. Hillary Clinton, Survey Reveals Winner In Presidential Race

    Who do you think would win, Hillary Clinton or First Lady Michelle Obama?

    That’s the question that Rasmussen asked hypothetically to voters in a bid to gauge how the Democratic presidential primary would run by suggesting a potential challenger to current favorite Hillary Clinton – the First Lady herself.

    The results were quite surprising (or not, depending on how you view the Obamas) as it shows that if Michelle Obama runs for president in 2016, she will give Hillary Clinton a run for her money.

    The new Rasmussen Report telephone survey found that in the theoretical matchup, 56% of Likely Democratic Voters chose Clinton and 22% chose Obama.

    While Clinton still enjoyed a sizeable lead, the numbers underline the fact that the First Lady has a better standing among voters than likely Democratic primary candidates Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders and Martin O’Malley.

    Sanders has already announced his presidential plans while O’Malley might announce his plans later in the month.

    Obama’s numbers are also theoretically better than Elizabeth Warren’s or Joe Biden’s.

    With black voters, it’s understandable that Obama got 44% of their support while Clinton got 36%.

    But among all the voters surveyed, Clinton clinched 37% of their support, Obama got 17% while 40% of the voters prefer another candidate.

    It’s not surprising that Obama showed good numbers in the polls. The First Lady is one of the more popular political figures around, always averaging a 67% approval rating.

    Of those polled, 34% think she’s done as worse as her predecessors and 30% believe she did better than the other first ladies. The rest think she’s the same as the others.

    She also does well with women voters who view her in a far better light than male voters do. Interestingly, the report also shows that the older the voter, the less like s/he approves of the First Lady.

    Obama’s numbers are clearly not enough to get past Clinton’s strong lead but it’s impressive enough to bear thinking.

    However, the First Lady herself has definitively stated that she has no plans to run for president.

    Reports say that once President Obama’s term ends, the whole family will be relocating to New York. The president has plans to run a foundation or might even go back to teaching law. The first lady also has a lot of options available to her, both in the private sector or in a nonprofit organization.

  • Elizabeth Banks Says Possibility Of ‘Pitch Perfect 3’ Depends On The Fans

    Many have been wondering if a Pitch Perfect 3 movie is already in the works, and that’s even before Pitch Perfect 2 hit theaters. For director Elizabeth Banks, that possibility depends on the fans.

    Banks admitted in an interview that “it would be disingenuous to say that no one’s talking about a ‘Pitch Perfect 3,’ the possibility of it.”

    “We are really focused on getting as many butts in seats for this one,” she added. “If fans embrace it, we are going to seriously think about what the continuing journey would look like, but we don’t know what that is yet.”

    If the opening numbers are anything to go by, Pitch Perfect fans are clearly saying that they want another round.

    The sequel to the sleeper hit scored big over the weekend, raking in $70.3 million, putting it way ahead of Mad Max: Fury Road. The Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron flick took in a neat $44.4 million.

    And once you add in the figures from Pitch’s non-US foray plus the soundtrack sales then the movie easily crosses the $100 million mark.

    Not bad for a musical comedy about a cappella groups.

    Aside from directing, Banks also reprised her role for the sequel, with original cast mates Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow and Rebel Wilson still along for the ride.

    Now with the apparent success of Pitch Perfect 2, the buzz about another offering is louder, especially since Wilson, who plays the scene stealing Fat Amy, was quoted as saying she already signed up for a third installment.

    If the next Pitch Perfect project does fall through and Banks returns to direct it, it will go a long way in firmly ensconcing her as a director of note and will greatly aid other female directors as well.

    For despite the pressure that Banks felt while filming the movie, she has shown that she can deliver the goods.

    Kylie Minogue looks like she has everything. The petite singer has homes in London, Australia and France, a lucrative career and at 46 still looks as amazing as she did when she first caught the public’s attention.

    Despite the success and recognition, the Neighbours actress admits that she doesn’t have everything.

    “I haven’t got the relationship. I haven’t got children. It just didn’t happen for me,” she said.

    That’s not to say the “Locomotion” singer has given up on finding love. As a matter of fact, Minogue has admitted to being open to dating men with dad bods.

    “I don’t mind grey hair, I don’t mind bald or balding. I don’t even mind a bit of a paunch,” she said in an interview with Event magazine.

    “Maybe too good-looking is where I’ve been going wrong,” she wondered.

    The “Fever” singer has certainly dated her fair share of good-looking guys.

    The 46-year-old has been in relationships with INXS’ bad boy, the late Michael Hutchence and Lenny Kravitz. She has also dated her Neighbours co-star Jason Donovan.

    Fans actually thought that Minogue would be settling down with actor Olivier Martinez, with whom she had a long-term relationship from 2002 to 2007. The actor famously stood by her during her fight with breast cancer in 2005 .

    The self-described “serial monogamist” ended her most recent relationship, a 5-year romance with Spanish model Andres Velencoso, in 2013.

    Refreshingly, Minogue doesn’t see herself as being “unlucky in love” and doesn’t have any regrets because she says her past relationships have been great.

    She’s also not giving up on finding Mr. Right and settling down in the future.

    “I’m putting it out there. I would like to find someone. I’m a romantic. I’m not conventional,” she stated. “I don’t think even as a kid I dreamed of a wedding day or a wedding dress but I do like being in love.”

    Gomez can be seen wearing a skin tight, cleavage baring bodysuit and rocking short hair with bangs reminiscent of Uma Thurman’s look in Pulp Fiction. A big gun, sultry lips and plenty of eyeshadow complete Gomez’ badass look.

    Justin Beiber’s 22-year-old ex-girlfriend plays a character called Arsyn in the video and Swift was right in her description that Gomez will “start some fires.”

    The “Shake it Off” singer drummed up interest for her new single by uploading posters of all the celebrities appearing in her video in the week leading up to its worldwide premier during the Billboard Music Awards. Friends like Cara Delevigne, Ellie Goulding, Hailee Steinfield, Karlie Kloss, Lena Dunham and Martha Hunt all lent a hand and their Sin City inspired posters were more than enough to catch people’s attention.

    Directed by Joseph Kahn, “Bad Blood” showcased the celebrities portraying characters that would’ve easily fit in Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill trilogy. Swift plays the character Catastrophe while Gomez is the lead femme fatale. Swift and Kahn scored a coup by getting supermodel Cindy Crawford, Law & Order: SVU’s Mariska Hargitay and Grey’s Anatomy’s Ellen Pompeo to put in a surprise appearance.

    There’s no doubt what provided the inspiration for the video as the movies Kill Bill and Sin City will certainly pop in viewers’ minds when they see “Bad Blood”. The catchy tune, eye popping action sequences, flashy cinematography and stylish BDSM meets steampunk fashion certainly makes the campy video fun to watch.

    Fans will undoubtedly want to see all these characters come back, maybe in a full-length action movie next time.

  • Natalie Portman Bares Her Bum At Cannes Film Festival

    Natalie Portman is more known for going for classic silhouettes when on the red carpet. But the actress shook things up a bit when she appeared in Cannes wearing a sheer black number.

    The Rodarte dress was reminiscent of Portman’s Black Swan costume and featured a beaded V-neck and a sheer, paneled skirt that revealed her bum in black underwear.

    But this was no wardrobe malfunction and the 33-year-old thespian managed to flash her skivvies while still appearing classy.

    She completed her look with strappy heels, a simple bun and minimal make-up.

    The Star Wars queen was on the red carpet for a photo call for her directorial debut A Tale of Love and Darkness and was joined by her co-stars, Amir Tessler and Gilad Kahana.

    A Tale of Love and Darkness is a reworking of Israeli writer Amos Oz’ memoir, and tells his tale of growing up in Israel and how his life changed after World War Two.

    The film is done entirely in Hebrew and is a very personal project for the V for Vendetta star who was born in Israel and who lived there until her family moved to the US when she was 3 years old.

    Portman’s film has been getting mixed reviews. Some papers, like The Guardian, sang praises for Portman’s “assured, heartfelt debut” while others had a more difficult time with the fact that the film was in Hebrew.

    With her film shown successfully in this year’s Cannes Film Festival, Portman can now focus on her next project, the biopic Jackie where she’s set to portray America’s beloved first lady.

    And if Portman’s fashion choices at Cannes prove anything, it’s that she’s so appropriate for the role of Jackie. After all, the former first lady is a known fashion icon, something that Portman is also turning out to be.

  • Kandi Burruss: Drama Ensues On Family Ski Trip To Colarado

    Everyone has horror stories of their family vacations. Kandi Burruss had hers caught on camera.

    The Real Housewives of Atlanta mainstay and her husband Todd Tucker went on a vacation with their families in an effort to mend relationships and get their families closer. While their intentions were good, not everyone saw it that way.

    And all the ensuing drama can be seen on Kandi’s three-part spinoff The Real Housewives of Atlanta: Kandi’s Ski Trip.

    In an exclusive statement, Todd mentioned the need to fix strained relationships, particularly in light of his mother’s passing.

    “We’ve never had Kandi and my family under the same roof so it was an interesting experiment with lots of unexpected moments,” he concluded.

    A clip from the show highlighted one such unexpected moment when Kandi’s aunt expressed their displeasure over their living accommodations at Bella Vista Estate ski resort in Colorado.

    Aunt Bertha was very vocal and told her niece that she’s mad because she was placed in the back while Kandi, Todd and her Mama Joyce had the front house.

    Another aunt, Nora, also chimed in and complained “that’s about twelve steps we gotta go up and down every time we come down over here.”

    “I’m the oldest somebody in here and I think I should have been considered in some kind of way,” she added.

    Fortunately, the 39-year-old Kandi didn’t have to worry about her Mama Joyce and her husband being at each other’s throats in such close quarters as her mom was surprisingly nice to Todd (probably because he just lost his mom).

    “She was there for him and was better to him, so their relationship was pretty cool,” she shared.

    It’s still unclear whether Kandi and Todd accomplished what they set out to do on this trip or if it made things worse.

  • Ronda Rousey Says Fighting A Man Would Hurt The Sport Of MMA

    Ronda “Rowdy” Rousey is running out of opponents to fight.

    The UFC bantamweight champion has easily dispatched all that have been pitted against her, often within just minutes into the first round.

    She stopped Cat Zingano with an acrobatic armbar in just 14 seconds in UFC 184.

    It has come to the point that people are speculating who can even put up a good fight against Rousey. Some have even come up with hypothetical debates, like who would win between Rousey and undefeated Floyd Mayweather or other UFC men’s bantamweight fighters.

    Rousey herself thinks it’s a “compliment” that people are considering that scenario and has even said that she “could beat 100 percent of them.”

    But despite being flattered by the idea and playing along with it, Rousey has flatly said that she will never fight a man because it sends the wrong message.

    In a candid interview with Yahoo News and Finance anchor Bianna Golodryga, the 28-year-old judoka said she doesn’t “think there should ever be a situation where there is an arena full of people gathered around cheering about a man hitting a woman.”

    She added that instead of helping the sport, it would just hurt it.

    “It’s a real fight. It’s not like it’s a movie or a part of a storyline,” she explained. “It’s an actual man hitting a woman and I don’t think that’s ever acceptable.”

    The UFC fighter also talked about other topics as she promoted her new book My Fight/ Your Fight.

    The outspoken Olympian also shared her views on deflate-gate, doping in sports and talked about her journey to becoming the world’s first female MMA fighter.

    But one topic she didn’t touch on much is her ongoing rivalry with mixed martial artist Miesha Tate.

    “I didn’t even want to devote that much time to her in the book,” the rowdy fighter said. “I could just write a book about why Miesha Tate is a big ol’ bitch.”

  • Chrissy Teigen And Hubby John Legend Looking Forward To Having Kids Soon

    Chrissy Tiegen and husband John Legend might have full schedules, but that’s not stopping them from wanting to have kids. And the sooner the better, it seems.

    The 29-year-old model answered “soon!” when People magazine asked about their plans on starting a family.

    “Not super soon, but definitely,” she added. “We love kids. I picture us with three or four.”

    Interestingly, Teigen’s husband more or less said the same thing in an interview earlier this year.

    The 36-year-old crooner has said that it was “only a matter of time” before he and Teigen have their own little bundle of joy.

    “We want to have kids,” the “Ordinary People” hit maker said. “Whenever it happens, we’ll be excited.”

    While the couple does try to be together as often as they can, they’re also very busy with their careers.

    Legend is flying high with the Golden Globe victory he shares with rapper Common for the movie Selma. He’s also busy with the HBO documentary Southern Rites which looks into racism in Georgia.

    Teigen herself is in the same boat. The Sports Illustrated swimsuit model is juggling being a wife, a food blogger, model and Lip Sync Battle host.

    She’s also working on her cookbook and will be co-hosting the Billboard Music Awards with Ludacris on Sunday.

    So how will the two manage having children in their already full lives?

    “John and I go hard in everything we do,” Teigen explains. “And we like a bit of chaos.”

    And since she and Legend don’t have to worry about changing diapers yet, she’s free to focus on her marriage which she describes as “beautiful and fun.”

    “It’s sort of effortless – for now at least,” she gushes. “People must think I’m lying when I talk about how good my husband is, but by all definitions he really is perfect.”

  • Angelika Graswald Allegedly Watched Fiancé Drown And Did Nothing To Help Him

    Angelika Graswald,e of missing project manager Vincent Viafore, has always maintained her innocence despite being charged with his murder. But prosecutors have now explained the reason for the charges.

    When she was first arrested for the crime, the police alluded to “inconsistencies in her statement” that led to her arrest.

    But during a bail hearing in a New York courtroom, Assistant District Attorney Julie Mohl clarified that Graswald confessed that “she tampered with the victim’s kayak and that taking these actions would contribute to his death.”

    Mohl added that even though Graswald saw Viafore go under water she did nothing to help him. She also quoted Graswald as saying that “she felt a sense of happiness and release” and that “it felt good he was going to die” because she felt trapped in the relationship.

    The prosecutor also alleged that money was the motive as Graswald is the primary beneficiary in two of Viafore’s life insurance policies.

    The 35-year-old Graswald is set to receive $250,000 and “talked about what she could do with the money.”

    Richard Portale, Graswald’s lawyer was surprised by the allegations that his client has confessed and said that her statements might have been coerced from her due to the language barrier.

    Graswald is a native of Latvia and her first language is Russian.

    “What’s changed that has caused the government to now characterize my client’s statements as a confession?” Portale asked, before adding his concern that they might have been “misled” by the police.

    Portale also implied that his client was being unfairly judged based on how she acted on social media on the days after the 46-year-old Viafore disappeared.

    Viafore disappeared when the couple went kayaking in the afternoon of April 19. Reports state that on the way back from Bannerman’s Island, Viafore’s kayak started to fill with water and capsized. He tried holding on to the kayak but went under water around 7:15. Graswald said she tried to save him but didn’t call for help until 7:40 pm.

    Viafore’s body hasn’t been recovered yet.

  • Kate Plus 8: Jon Gosselin Reportedly Calls Police On Ex-Wife, Takes Emergency Custody Of Daughter Hannah

    Those poor Gosselin children. Aside from the stress of growing up in the glare of TV cameras and their parents bitter divorced broadcasted for all to see, the Gosselin kids might now be separated from each other.

    According to reports, Jon Gosselin is seeking full custody of their 11-year-old daughter Hannah after she left her mother’s home to live with him.

    An insider says that the drama started because Hannah didn’t want to film for the TLC reality series anymore. But her mom Kate, who’s notorious for wanting to remain on-camera, is forcing her and the other kids to do so.

    The source added that the young girl “can’t take the cruelty anymore” and was “so afraid of her mom” that Jon became so concerned that he called Pennsylvania Children & Youth Services and decided to take emergency custody of his daughter.

    As expected, the move didn’t sit well with Kate who caused a scene when she stood in front of Jon’s house screaming for her daughter to come home.

    When that didn’t work, the 40-year-old Kate Plus 8 matriarch allegedly called the cops three days later and accused her ex-husband of threatening her and leaving Hannah alone while he worked at his DJ gig.

    Hannah eventually came home but Jon is reportedly dead set on filing a petition to modify their custody agreement.

    This isn’t the first time Jon has raised concerns about the welfare of his children. In 2010, Jon filed legal documents accusing Kate of physically abusing their kids, forcing them to eat moldy food and locking them in their bedrooms at night so they would stop “using the restroom.”

    She wasn’t formally charged but was given a warning by a judge.

    Kate was also investigated by Children & Youth Services last year over charges that she was abusive to their son Colin.

  • Natalie Portman Stars As ‘Jackie,’ Movie Revolves Around JFK Assassination

    Aside from her stint playing Jane Foster in the last Thor movie, Natalie Portman has been pretty low-key the past few years. But that’s set to change as the actress has signed on to portray Jackie Kennedy.

    Reports coming out of the Cannes Film Festival say that the Oscar winning actress will star as the titular Jackie.

    The film revolves around the four days following the assassination of John F. Kennedy and shows the impact it had on his wife.

    “Jackie talks about the days when Jackie Kennedy becomes an icon but has lost everything,” said Vincent Maraval of French film distribution company Wild Bunch.

    The movie will have Chilean director Pablo Larrain at the helm. The director’s newest film, The Club, won the Grand Jury Prize at The Berlin International Film Festival and prompted Portman to hop on board the Jackie project.

    The project will also reunite Portman with her Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky, who’s coming in as producer.

    It has taken a very long time for project to see the light of day. It was originally conceived to be a project of Aronofsky and then-fiancee Rachel Weisz in 2010. But the end of the relationship also meant the end of the project.

    Luckily, Fox Searchlight was able to resurrect it and secure another notable director to lead it.

    It’s been a big week for the Star Wars queen. Aside from nabbing the role of Jackie Kennedy, the 33-year-old actress is also set to star as Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

    Those roles are sure to add to Portman’s already full plate this year. She’s just completed her directorial debut A Tale of Love and Darkness which is being screened at this year’s Cannes.

    The new mother also has the movies Jane Got a Gun, Terence Malick’s Weightless and Planetarium in the works.

  • Amber Heard And Johnny Depp’s Marital Problems Still Ongoing

    Rumors that Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s marriage are headed for divorce have been swirling around for months now. And if that’s not stressful enough, the couple’s pet dogs might be put down due to Australia’s strict quarantine laws.

    Reports that Depp’s 4-month-old marriage to Heard is already on the rocks because of their busy schedules, Depp’s drinking and Heard’s partying and friendship with iO Tillett Wright have been making the rounds.

    But a close friend of the couple says that the two have “always been together.”

    “They travel for work then come home. They live together and are very much in love, despite what’s being said about breakup rumors,” the friend added.

    Depp and Heard have also put up a united front to dispel those rumors when they arrived together in Australia last month so Depp can continue shooting the fifth installment of Pirates of the Caribbean.

    Depp and the 28-year-old Heard were photographed holding hands and looking happy in Brisbane but sources say that the happy front is just that – a front.The same source says that it’s common to see the Rum Diary co-stars bickering constantly on the set of Depp’s new movie, often on very petty matters.

    If those reports are true, then the situation with Australia’s Ministry of Agriculture is sure to put additional pressure on an already strained relationship.

    Australia’s Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce has given the couple 48-hours to send their pet Yorkshire terriers back to the US or the country will have no option but to deport or euthanize them.

    Australia has very strict biosecurity laws that Depp and Heard appear to have bypassed when they brought their dogs with them last month.

    “There is a process if you want to bring animals: you get the permits, they go into quarantine and then you can have them,” Joyce said.
