  • Rosie Perez Reveals Junior High Same-Sex Experience

    Rosie Perez declared that she had felt confused about her sexual identity, in a speech on TrevorLIVE New York on June 16.

    The co-host from The View also revealed that she tried a relationship with another girl during junior high in a Catholic school, wrote Carlos Geer for Page Six.

    The host, now in her fifties, initially had a crush on a girl called Michelle. And though she wanted nothing but to “hump her,” she didn’t give in to the urges and instead concealed her desires.

    Perez’ uncertainty in having homosexual feelings, however, made her feel all alone, “until Michelle, one day, started humping on me”, the host revealed through the event by national LGBT youth organization The Trevor Project.

    Regardless of the same-sex relationship that she had in junior high, Perez, now married to artist Eric Haze, announced that she does not consider herself as “gay.”

    The host claimed that she is not confused anymore of her sexuality and that she has arrived at a place of security.

    “I know I’m not lesbian, gay or whatever,” she declared. “I’m a quasi-straight person.”

    Perez further added that she still had that moment when she had a lesbian relationship but admitted that she thought she was all alone, Amanda Mikelberg reported on CBS News.

    The relationship didn’t end well as the two broke up and stopped being friends, which hurt Perez. She admitted she needed someone who could understand her and someone she can talk to.

    But she didn’t have The Trevor Project, and had no community so she kept silent, which she confessed added more to her pain.

    “That silence brought shame,” Perez announced on the show. “I remember that hurt and that hurt kept me silent, and that silence brought shame” Perez said.

    “I didn’t have a community. No, I’m not gay, lesbian, transgender . . . but I’m a human being.” she added.

    And Perez went on about the significance of The Trevor Project’s crisis hotline for teenagers. She acknowledged that she is not the only one that went through this period of confusion on sexuality.

    “I’m not the only one that suppressed those feelings,” Perez said.

    Perez further emphasized the role of adults in a teen’s life. She admitted that if she had some grown-ups to call up to tell her that she was normal and that it will pass, “it would have made all the difference in the world.”

    But Perez says she was fortunate to have some great people in her life, referring to her father and aunt. There were also community leaders who assured her, ‘No, it’s okay to be different and just let your spirit shine.’”

    Perez’ advice for teenagers? Accept the journey and their individuality. “There’s no such thing as normal”, she added. “What is the norm is being different.”

  • Woody Harrelson To Star In Rob Reiner’s ‘LBJ’

    According to reports from Variety and Entertainment Weekly, Woody Harrelson is set to play President Lyndon B. Johnson on the big screen.

    The 53-year-old True Detective and Hunger Games actor will join Tom Wilkinson, Bryan Cranston and Liev Schreiber in the “Actors who have played LBJ” club.

    Harrelson will also star in three more films this year: The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2, Triple 9 and Now You See Me: The Second Act.

    President Johnson, the 36th president of the United States, was a man who helped pass the Civil Rights Act. Tom Wilkinson was the most recent actor to play the role of the former president.

    During Wilkinson’s portrayal of Johnson’s character in LBJ, some accused the film of placing the former president in a slightly unfavorable light. But according to director Ava DuVemay, she just presented a fairer, unbiased and more complex version of LBJ, a person facing conflicts between his political obligations and his conscience.

    LBJ 2015’s script was written by Joey Hartstone, and the film will be helmed by Reiner. Reiner was the director of the recent 2014 film And So It Goes.

    “During the ’60s, I was a hippy, and Lyndon Johnson was my president,” said Reiner in an interview with Hollywood Reporter. “At the time LBJ was the target of most of my generation’s anti-Vietnam War anger. But as time has passed and my understanding of political realities has grown, I’ve come to see LBJ in a very different light. He was a complex man, a combination of brilliant political instinct, raw strength, ambition and deep insecurities.”

    The new film will chronicle the Southern politician’s rise to become the 36th president of the United States from being just a Texan Congressman.

    Filming of the movie is expected to begin this September in locations like New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Dallas and Washington.

    Two and a Half Men co-showrunners Don Reo and Jim Patterson will be reuniting to create Netflix’s new series The Ranch.

    Reports from Deadline showed that Netflix is currently working on the deal to start the creation of The Ranch.

    Netflix is reportedly considering an atypical attack with The Ranch as they have ordered 20 episodes divided in two batches. Netflix usually has the 13-episodes-dropping-at-once strategy in airing past comedy series.

    Ashton Kutcher and his That ‘70s Show co-star Danny Masterson will be playing brothers in the future comedy series. Kutcher will star as a semi-pro footballer returning to Colorado, his home, to establish a family business with sibling Masterson.

    Masterson and Kutcher, who had retained friendship after starring together on That 70’s Show, will also produce The Ranch. While on the other hand, Two and a Half Men co-showrunners Reo and Patterson will write and executive produce the comedy series.

    In television, Kutcher has also co-created the MTV reality series Punk’d. Kutcher has worked for companies like CAA and Untitled Entertainment. While Masterson, a recognized DJ, recently starred on the TBS comedy series Men At Work.

    Netflix is looking to add programming targeting an audience that may be underserved. Netflix is most likely catering to fans of sitcoms such as The Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men. The streaming service’s strategy explains their vast range of original shows.

    Netflix has streamed shows in various genres including noisy, and pop culture phenoms like Orange Is The New Black and House of Cards. Other outstanding shows from Netflix include Longmire, Grace and Frankie, Fuller House.

    In 2016, The Ranch is expected to premiere. The series will be Kutcher’s next project after searching for a new TV sitcom to call home next to Two and a Half Men.

    After breakup with Chris Soules, the 29-year-old TV personality Whitney Bischoff was spotted with Andi Dorfman’s ex Nick Viall. The two were seen viewing the Blackhawks game together last May 30 in Chicago.

    After just two days of Bischoff’s announcement of split with Soules, reports have claimed that the Bischoff and Viall were really into each other during their game date.  However, an insider close to the ex-couple shared that Bischoff and Soules are just friends.

    “Whitney and Nick met through the show and are friends, but that’s it. Whitney knows better than to jump into a rebound relationship. Plus, it’s not like that between her and Nick,” the insider told Hollywood Life.

    Going back to the real reason of their split, there have been frequent rumors that jealousy was the prime cause of their split.

    It was believed that Soules’ urgent decision to join Dancing with the Stars right after The Bachelor contributed to the breakup. “DWTS hurt the relationship. She shared him with other women on The Bachelor, then had to share him again. It bothered her,” one source concluded after the two called it quits.

    The Bachelor co-stars stayed optimistic despite the broken engagement of Bischoff and Soules.

    “Whitney Bischoff and Chris Soules have mutually and amicably decided to end their engagement. “They part with nothing but respect and admiration for one another and will continue to be supportive friends. They wish to thank everyone who has supported them through this journey,” the co-stars stated after the split last May.

    Meanwhile, Bischoff recently partied and reunited with her co-contestants, Kaitlyn Bristowe and Becca Tilley, in The Bachelor season 19. The three met to celebrate Bischoff and Bristowe’s coming birthdays.

    Whitney Bischoff shared a photo of them on Instagram captioning, “Reunited and it feels so good! @kaitlynbristowe @beccatilley5 #happybirthdaytome.”

    The Game Of Thrones British actress Maisie Williams had a major freak out moment after knowing how the show’s episode would end.

    Williams’ character, Arya Stark, was blinded in the June 14 episode of GOT. Stark has a tough fate on the show. Apart from being brutally blinded, she also lost most of her family members. And what’s even worse is that her fave half-brother, Jon Snow, just ended up dead too.

    The actress had a Q&A on Twitter on Monday night labeled #AskGOT. Williams shared hilarious reactions upon what happened in the Season 5 finale of GOT.

    One fan from twitter asked her about her views on the episode, “@Maisie_Williams @GameOfThrones #AskGoT what was your reaction to the finale?”

    “I DNT CARE ABUT UR SILLY FEKIN NIGHTS WATCH OMG STAHP STABBIN JON SNOOOO,” the actress promptly replied sounding like a typical fan girl.

    Snow’s death was not the only thing that Williams discussed during the 35-minute Q&A. Fans shot more questions in line with the show.

    She was asked by another fan, “How long did it take for you to learn the fight choreography for Arya’s vengeance scene?”

    Williams wrote back saying, “Probably in total about 6 hours work. I was unprepared, Ian was totally amazing.”

    Snow was bloodily killed at the end of the episode. Allistair stabbed Snow which left him severely weakned. Afterwards, most of the men of Night’s Watching started stabbing Snow as well leaving him completely dead.

    The death was confirmed by Kit Harington, the actor who plays Snow, as well as the episode’s director. However, speculations have been spreading that Snow could be back anytime soon. George R.R. Martin, the author of the book GOT, has revealed in the past that Jon Snow’s fortune is inconclusive.

    “Oh, you think he’s dead, do you?” he told Entertainment Weekly in 2011. “My readers should know better than to take anything as gospel.”

    Cheers and loud roars with giggles were heared as the two women shared their love for each other publicly. Watts barely reached her towering partner while clutching onto her neck.

    Photos over the internet showing Watts holding onto the back of Kidman’s neck while they were smooching each other have gone viral.

    Though, Kidman is just a few days away from celebrating her ninth anniversary with Keith Urban, she still confidently shared a steamy kiss with Watts.

    For a moment, Kidman seemed to have stopped being Urban’s wife, reserving herself for Watts as she came into sensual contact with her long-time lady friend.

    Kidman and Watts both looked so glamorous while making their appearances on the red carpet at the event gala.

    Apart from Watts, Kidman was also joined at the awards night by Angie Harmon and Regina King. Nicole received the Crystal Award for Excellence in Film. The award was presented to women who expand their work beyond the movie industry.

    On the other hand, there were major issues regarding Kidman’s look during the night. Kidman suffered from a makeup fail by the time she came in to collect her award.

    The Aussie actress was photographed with a ridiculous amount of face powder all over her nose and cheeks at the Women in Film Crystal + Lucy Awards.

    But while the makeup issue may have raised a few eyebrows, Nicole’s outfit turned heads. Nicole Kidman wore a designer dress made from black sequins which showed off her slim figure.

    A 19-year-old teen named Marlana VanHoose wowed the audience as she performed the national anthem during NBA Finals on Tuesday.

    The Cleveland Cavaliers decided to invite VanHoose to sing the national anthem for Game 6 of NBA Finals at Quicken Loans Arena. High profile artists like Rascal Flatts, Usher and Carlos Santana have all performed the anthem at Cleveland but the Kentucky native arguably had the best rendition of  “The Star-Spangled Banner” this year.

    VanHoose was born with the cytomeglo virus and her optic nerve has never formed — she has been blind her whole life. According to her website, doctors didn’t expect her to live for more than a year.

    VanHoose has sung at games for the Cavaliers before and performed at several University of Kentucky women’s basketball games. She has also shared her talent for singing at a number of other sports events including the NASCAR Sprint Series Cup Race.

    The Cavaliers believed that VanHoose would bring them luck for their game against the Warriors in Game 6.

    In 2012, the Lady Wildcats were undefeated in games before which VanHoose sang the national anthem. That was the time when she became an internet sensation. Her popularity grew so much that ESPN’s “E:60” even did a profile on her in December of last year.

    The Cavaliers have also witnessed similar luck when they won their matchup in April against the Miami Heat after VanHoose performed the national anthem.

    VanHoose’s rendition of America’s national anthem caused a buzz  on social media platforms like Twitter.

    One tweet from Matt Jarrells wrote, “If you missed that National Anthem, then you missed out on goosebumps on top of goosebumps.”

    “Marlana VanHoose performed a magnificent National Anthem,” said The Cauldron.

    Jeff Van Gundy also commented on VanHoose’s performance tweeting,”Courage personified there.”

    Winona Ryder Makes Her Way To ‘Supernatural’ Netflix Series

    The 43-year-old actress Winona Ryder will soon make her Netflix debut. Coming 2016, Ryder will be starring in an untitled supernatural series.

    Variety has confirmed that Ryder will star as a regular cast member in the mystery series. This will mark Ryder’s very first regular role on TV.

    Ryder has briefly dabbled in television over the past few years. She has been a guest on TV shows such as Friends, Drunk History and Strangers with Candy. However, she is best known for starring in movies like Beetlejuice, Girl Interrupted, Heathers and Mermaids. 

    The eight one-hour episode series was previously titled Montauk. The show is set in the 80’s in a Long Island beach town where Ryder will be playing the mother of a two-year-old boy who vanishes without a trace. Though details are limited, top-secret government experiments and a creepy girl are involved.

    Ryder will play the character of Joyce who will endure great adversity to rescue her son from supernatural forces.

    TV Wise says Joyce will unexpectedly find “a strength she never knew she had in the wake of her son’s disappearance.”

    EW confirmed that Ryder will be joined by State of Affairs and The Newsroom alum David Harbour. Harbour will be cast as the town’s police chief.

    Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen will executive produce the series. The Wayward Pines creators Matt and Ross Duffer have written and will direct the series so viewers can expect vibes similar to X-Files.

    According to a statement released by Netflix’s vice president Cindy Holland, the Duffer brothers were assigned to work on the series since they have something unique to offer for the show.

    Model and TV personality Gigi Hadid was spotted on a lunch date with Joe Jonas in Beverly Hills on Monday.

    Late last year, Hadid told E! News that dating Jonas would be “hilarious” and that they’re just good friends. However, these past few days, they have been spotted more often holding hands and going on usual lunch outings.

    During their casual lunch, Hadid brought her newly adopted kitten Cleo. The model adopted the black feline on Sunday.

    The 20-year-old Maybelline spokeswoman seemed to mimic her good friend and Jonas’s ex Taylor Swift as the country singer also took her cat out on the town.

    Hadid appeared really attached to her new pet after finding it in a car engine last week. She actually set up an Instagram account for Cleo right after she got it.

    Multiple sources confirmed to E! News that the two have been dating for real. “They never really stopped caring about each other,” a source told E! News. “Things are going really well for them.”

    One more source revealed that the twosome is going on romantic outings. “Gigi and Joe are hanging out again romantically. They are taking things light and just enjoying each other’s friendship.”

    “Gigi feels very comfortable with Joe and it’s very easy to talk about everything that’s going on in her life with him. He understands where she is at and they are not in any rush,” the source added.

    Gigi Hadid herself even presented a clue to E! News saying, “All the brothers are amazing, but I’m closest with Joe. He is a really good friend of mine … It’s really fun because we don’t get to see each other that much, and when he comes to New York, we always try to hang out as much as we can.”

    Recently, Gigi Hadid and Simpson broke up but Simpson seemed to look happy during the dinner party at Capitale despite that fact.

    Hadid also looked fine after their split. In fact, she was spotted hanging out withJoe Jonas and the two are said to be dating.

    Rumors have also been circulating that Justice and Simpson have a budding romance.

    During the DoSomething.org Spring Dinner, the 22-year-old Eye Candy actress got the chance to meet-up with the YouTube star Max Schneider.

    The two former Nickelodeon stars met at the event where they celebrated a year of young people taking action on social issues.

    Justice even tweeted about her meet-up with Schneider saying, “Look who I bumped into @ the @dosomething spring dinner! @Maxgschneider! Here to support a great cause! #GiveBack”

    Simpson also revealed in a tweet how much he enjoyed the occasion. “Event @dosomething was rad last night. Love playing music in support of change,” Simpson tweeted.

    After the event, Simpson was spotted looking tired as he arrived in Los Angeles. The 18-year-old Australian singer made his way through LAX airport wearing a serious face. It seemed that the jet-set celebrity lifestyle had been taking its toll on the singer.

  • Mindy Kaling Is The Voice Of Disgust In Pixar’s ‘Inside Out’

    Inside Out creator Pete Docter struggled to find the voice for the character of Disgust. Eventually, TV star and comedian Mindy Kaling got the role.

    The film revolves around Riley, a little girl who moved  to San Francisco from Minnesota. Riley has five different emotions voiced by five different people.

    Amy Poehler voices Joy, Bill Hader for Fear, Lewis Black for Anger, Phyllis Smith for Sadness and Kaling for Disgust.

    The film goes out to theaters this Friday. Inside Out could possibly mark a comeback for Pixar despite the fact that the studio has focused more on sequels than original stories.

    Creator Docter admitted that he and the whole Pixar team had a tough time for Disgust.

    “Disgust, we struggled with a lot,” Docter said, “because we weren’t sure whether she should be disgusting or disgusted. Once we arrived at disgusted, Mindy’s voice came up.” Docter became impressed after hearing Kaling voice out lines for Disgust’s dialogue.

    Riley was more the setting of the story than the lead character. The five emotions in her head played larger roles than she did. The whole idea was pitched by Docter to producer Jonas Rivera.

    “The way Pete pitched it to me was, ‘What if we could make a movie about a little girl, but she’s not the main character, she’s the setting — and the main characters are her emotions?’ We wanted to illustrate how kids change,” said Rivera.

    The 35-year-old The Mindy Project star told The News about her challenges during the voice dubbing for Disgust.

    “I had to make a lot of nauseated sounds, I had to be barely keeping myself from throwing up a lot,” said Kaling. “You have to not make yourself nauseated, so that was a little challenging.”

  • Katherine Waterston To Star In ‘Harry Potter’ Spinoff ‘Fantastic Beasts’

    Katherine Waterston has been cast to play the role of Porpentina in the upcoming Harry Potter-inspired movie, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

    Porpentina, also known as Tina, is a witch who operates and works her magic in the United States. While Harry Potter is located in London, the setting for Fantastic Beasts will be in New York.

    Waterston was best known for her role in last year’s Inherent Vice. The British-born American actress also appeared in several episodes of Boardwalk Empire.

    Several actresses including Saoirse Ronan, Lili Simmons and Dakota Fanning were reportedly considered for the role of Porpentina as well.

    The film is still searching for two more cast members to play pivotal roles. The roles are Porpentina’s younger sister, Queenie, and Scamander’s opponent, Jacob.

    The casting team is reported to be searching for established faces for the roles even though they discovered fresh faces for the original Harry Potter movie.

    The director of the last four Harry Potter films David Yates will help with the project. The screenplay for Fantastic Beasts was written by Potter author J.K. Rowling.

    Potter producer David Heyman is also back as the movie’s producer but this time guided by Rowling. Alongside Heyman to produce the film are Steve Kloves and Lionel Wigram.

    Rowling highly emphasized that this upcoming film isn’t going to be a sequel to Harry Potter but a spinoff.

    “Although it will be set in the worldwide community of witches and wizards where I was so happy for 17 years, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is neither a prequel nor a sequel to the Harry Potter series but an extension of the wizarding world,” Rowling explained.

    The film is set to hit theaters November 18 next year.

    American model and showgirl Holly Madison poured heartaches into her newest memoir, Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a former Playboy Bunny.

    According to the memoir, life in Hugh Hefner’s hutch was far from the image portrayed on TV.

    The 35-year-old former Girl Next Door star who broke up with Hefner in 2008 claimed that she was bullied in the Playboy Mansion.

    She also said she was subjected to “ruthless taunting”. After moving in with Hefner and his other girlfriends, Madison lost her self-esteem.

    ”Prior to moving into the mansion I’d been a fairly confident person, but it didn’t take long for my self-worth to start to crumble,” the model wrote in her memoir.

    She also wrote in her memoir how other girls criticized every little thing about her. ”After being identified by the other girlfriends as persona non grata, I had become the victim of their ruthless ‘mean girl-ing.’ During dinners or movie screenings, it wasn’t out of the ordinary for me to overhear their loud whispers criticizing my appearance (my hair, my face, my clothes).”

    Madison named her worst enemy in the Playboy Mansion as Kendra Wilkinson who she describes as the fakest person she has ever met.

    According to Holly, Kendra had a huge sense of entitlement when she lived in the Playboy Mansion.

    “Kendra desperately tried to make each new Playmate who arrived at the mansion her friend — and her friend alone,” Madison wrote.

    According to Perez Hilton, Holly and Kendra haven’t spoken in quite some time and have absolutely no plans to do so in the future. As such, Madison is very happy to no longer be in touch with Wilkinson.

    In a later part of Holly Madison’s memoir, she wrote her lesson and realization about Hefner stating: “Hef was the manipulator, and he pitted us against each other. I realized I wasn’t treated well. I’m done being afraid of people. I don’t have any loyalty to Hef. I haven’t talked to him in four years, so there’s no reason to reach out now. Besides, it’s the truth.”

    The Orange Is The New Black star, Taryn Manning, attended the show’s third season screening. The screening was intended to raise funds for the Women’s Prison Association at the Ainsworth.

    The screening benefitting WPA was held on June 12, 2015 in New York City.

    The ladies in orange gave back to the WPA at the premiere party. The association helps women and their families adjust and thrive to life outside of prison.

    Actress Jackie Cruz, who plays Flaca shared her sincere thoughts regarding the association.

    “I am here to help people learn about the real-life versions of our characters and how hard it is for them to start over after doing time. The Women’s Prison Association is the type of organization that helps them live productive lives when they get out. It’s an honor to help support their important work,” said Cruz.

    Manning, whi is the vocalist of Boomkat and co-owner of Born Unicorn performed her latest solo single “All The Way” for the attendees of the event. Apart from Manning, Jackie Cruz, another cast member to watch for this season of OINTB, also sang during the screening event.

    OINTB actresses Ruby Rose and Alysia Reiner were also present during the event.

    Manning’s role on the Netflix hit show was Pennsatucky. Pennsatucky was a former meth addict and a wannabe pro-life preacher who has mellowed out.

    In an interview with Headline and Global News this month, Manning insisted that Pennsatucky is her definite opposite.

    “She’s nothing like me,” the actress said. “It’s totally fun. I love playing unapologetic or non-humble characters. In real life, I’m really shy and pretty quiet, so that’s how I get to be a total a**hole.”

    According to Taryn Manning, her role will become more likeable this season. She also added that people should keep an eye on the other side of the one-dimensional character of Pennsatucky.

    During the Jurassic World Premiere in Hollywood last Tuesday night, Lindsey Vonn showed off her toned legs in a high split reptilian dress.

    Vonn brought her sister Karin Kidlow as her date for the premiere night. Kidlow wore a long sleeved white blouse with a studded white skirt.

    It has been a month since Vonn and Tiger Woods broke up and it seems that the skier has moved on from their break-up. Woods, on the other hand, barely appears to be getting his life back on track after recently having his worst professional performance at the Memorial tournament.

    The former lovebirds called it quits in May and blamed their “hectic” schedules for their split.

    Despite the fact that Vonn  attributed their split to their busy schedules, rumors emerged that the 39-year-old golfer cheated on Vonn.

    A close friend of Vonn insisted that the reason Vonn and Woods split was because the golfer cheated on her with a “faceless-nameless woman.”

    “He had a relapse in the sex department,” the friend told Daily Mail Online. “Lindsey found out about women again. Always while he’s on the road. Just like when he was with Elin.”

    “Yes. Tiger cheated again. But it wasn’t with anyone special,” the friend continued.

    Even though Woods allegedly confessed to Vonn about the one-night-stand, the ski racer chose to end their relationship immediately.

    During the premiere night of Jurassic World, Vonn didn’t seem to be affected anymore. In fact, she looked hotter than ever.

    Vonn didn’t show any signs of bitterness despite her recent heartbreak. She even seemed optimistic at the time of her split with Woods.

    “I will always cherish the memories that we’ve created together,” Lindsey Vonn said at that time.

  • Maggie Gyllenhaal Discusses Hardships In Getting Movie Roles

    In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Maggie Gyllenhaal talked about her rejections for casting roles in the past. Gyllenhaal shared all the negative criticisms casting agents had told her.

    During a roundtable, the 37-year-old actress was sarcastically asked if she ever considered quitting acting. The actress recalled that she received plenty of ‘NOs’ during casting calls. Gyllenhall admitted that even today, she still gets that answer despite her success in Hollywood.

    “When I was starting out, I used to hear ‘no’ a lot and still do,” said Gyllenhaal.

    The worst lines that Gyllenhaal has admitted to hearing were ‘you’re not sexy enough’ and ‘you’re not pretty enough’.

    “When I was really young, I auditioned for this really bad movie with vampires. I wore a dress to the audition that I thought was really hot. Then I was told I wasn’t hot enough,” added Gyllenhaal.

    One person on the roundtable panel, Empire’s Taraji P. Henson, seconded the actress’s statement saying that she too had been told the same things before.

    Gyllenhaal said she tried even harder to appear sexy at auditions after being told by her manager to “sex it up a little bit.” The actress then wore leather pants and a pink leopard top during another audition but she still failed to get the role.

    “After that, I was like, OK, f*ck this!,” she exasperated.

    Apart from being rejected due to her looks, Gyllenhaal has also been denied roles due to her age. She revealed that at age 37, she was rejected as being too old to play the love interest of a 55-year-old man.

    The actress justified that she never bought and will never buy into the plastic surgery tradition in Hollywood.

    “I wanted to show what a woman my age really looks like. I am much more turned on when I see people’s bodies that look like bodies I recognize,” said Gyllenhaal.

    Sadly, other actresses at the same roundtable, such as Jessica Lange and Ruth Wilson, related to Gyllenhaal’s experiences.

  • Anna Cardwell: ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’ Star Sues Her Mom, June Shannon, Over Earnings

    Former Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star and her 2-year-old daughter, Kaitlyn, are suing June Shannon, popularly known as Mama June. Anna Cardwell is claiming that her mother has cheated her out of hundreds of thousands of dollars during her appearance on the reality show.

    According to TMZ, Cardwell asserts that she is owed $200,000 and her daugther is owed $100,000. The amount of money the two are owed is based on the family’s collective $22,500 per episode paycheck.

    Last Monday, the names on the lawsuit include Shannon and Honey Boo Boo LLC. The suit claims that they were accountable for the money that was meant to be deposited in a trust fund for Cardwell and Kaitlyn.

    “Unfortunately, despite contractual requirements to do so, none of the Defendants have provided Anna and Kaitlyn with the full compensation and consideration they were contractually promised for their participation in Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” the lawsuit reads.

    The suit furthermore states, “Despite continuous requests for information and documents made by Anna on behalf of herself and her daughter Kaitlyn to discover how much money is owed to Plaintiffs … Defendants have continued to deny Anna knowledge of the facts and figures of their accounts.”

    TLC has not yet provided any comments. But, Shannon has told TMZ that the lawsuit is “ridiculous”. The mother of Cardwell also said that TLC directly deposited earnings into her eldest daughter’s accounts.

    Shannon claims the family was paid $22,500 per episode. She says one third of the amount was divided for her kids.

    Shannon also claims that she gave a check worth $15,400 to Cardwell in December. The check was Cardwell’s part of the payout the family received after Here Comes Honey Boo Boo was canceled.

    The show was canceled after reports went out that Shannon was in a relationship with a convicted child molester. The offender, Mark McDaniel, has also been accused of molesting Cardwell in 2003.

    However, Shannon denies those reports of her romantic relationship with McDaniel.

    Laura Prepon has been giving the scoop on what is ahead in the third season of the hit Netflix original series Orange is the New Black.

    In the show, the actress plays Alex Vause. Vause is a federal inmate who was convicted on drug trafficking charges. Vause is also the complicated lesbian girlfriend of the protagonist, Piper Chapman.

    The last season of OITNB, Prepon’s character got a plea deal for naming a drug lord in court which freed Vause from prison. However, her cooperation with the legal system wasn’t enough to take the vindictive kingpin down.

    Just before the end of season 2, Chapman, which is played by Taylor Schilling, set Vause up for a parole violation that landed her back in prison for season 3.

    Prepon’s character is not going to be the same confident, self-assured lady they got to know in season one. She’s wracked with self-doubt and as Prepon labeled it, “feels like a fool.”

    “She doesn’t know how she got back in, she doesn’t know that Piper is the reason for it, and I think she just feels foolish and stupid,” said Prepon. “Now that she had that freedom and it was taken away again, I think she just has lost faith in herself, has lost faith in her and Piper and is kind of a little hopeless.”

    OITNB is based on a true story created by Jenji Kohan.

    Just recently, Prepon stated that Catherine Wolters reached out to her to applaud her portrayal of the role. Wolters is the woman behind the inspiration of Prepon’s character.

    According to Prepon, Wolters sent her a copy of Out of Orange with “a very nice letter.”

    Before Laura Prepon became popular as Vause in OITNB, she was first best known as Donna Pinciotti from That 70s Show.

    Late Tuesday, June 9, Britney spears shared her chin-length haircut on her Instagram account. The 33-year-old pop star and actress had her long locks chopped earlier this week. The first photo of her new hairdo was captured in a dimly lit room which made the ‘do slightly undistinguishable.

    “My new haircut,” she captioned on her Instagram photo while posing in a slightly dark room.

    But on Wednesday, photos of her went viral when she hit the town of Thousand Oaks, California proudly showing off her new summer ‘do.

    The “Work Work” singer’s blunt-edged cut bounced as she left a retail shop with her bodyguard carrying a large shopping bag.

    Just a week ago, the mother-of-two showcased her long wavy locks in a photo shoot for her latest perfume. But as the summer season hits, Spears decided to rock her hair with shorter locks.

    Before she went out for shopping, the ex-wife of Kevin Federline showed off her outfit of the day with her fans and followers on social media. “It’s a little black romper kind of day,” she said on an Instagram photo of herself standing between two white cars.

    Spears is currently on a break from her Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. She last gave a performance in Las Vegas in May and is set to return to the stage early August.

    The singer may now be on a break from performing in Las Vegas, but she maintains the title “proud skate mom”. She posted a photo of her boys as they showed off their skateboarding skills at the park.

    Just last Tuesday night during the premiere of Jurassic World, Anna Faris and Chris Pratt publicly displayed affection in front of the media. The Hollywood couple engrossed in some sweet kissing scenes while posing for the photographers.

    Faris looked stunning in a silver backless dress during the red carpet premiere of Jurassic World.  While at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Pratt held Faris close and kissed her as they posed for photos.

    On Monday, in an interview with Carson Daly, Pratt stated that if his life is a dream, he doesn’t want to wake up.

    “When you pinch yourself, it’s to see if you’re dreaming and it’ll wake you up,” Pratt said. “I wouldn’t want anyone to pinch me right now, because if I did wake up, I’d be pretty pissed,” Pratt continued.

    Pratt and his wife seem to be doing a good job of nurturing their marriage. Though Pratt loves to spend time with his 2-year-old son Jack, he still wants to maintain a strong relationship with his wife.

    “A lot of times, people focus so much on their kids, and then when their kids leave the nest, they look at their spouse or partner like they’re a stranger,” said Pratt. The actor’s statement emphasized the importance of giving enough time for spouses.

    The 35-year-old actor gives credit to his family for keeping his career at its peak of success. “I have the support of a strong partner who’s been through this and understands it and whom I can share these experiences with,” said Pratt.

    Erin Andrews together with Brittany Snow hosted this year’s CMT Music Awards in Nashville. The two ladies complemented each other’s dresses wearing gowns with thigh high slits.

    Andrews and Snow both arrived in white when they walked on the red carpet at the CMT Music Awards.

    The Pitch Perfect 2 starlet, Snow, walked on the red carpet dressed in a two-toned gown with a thigh slit, matched with black strappy sandals and side-parted waves. While sports journalist, Andrews, delivered cutouts in a slinky, figure-hugging number.

    The two lovely ladies opened the show with jokes about their not-so-unique place in the award show’s history.

    “It’s hosted this year by two ladies, and I’m no expert, but I’m pretty sure this is the first time in history there are no male hosts,” Snow said proudly at the opening of the show.

    Andrews turned her attention to country music star Carrie Underwood who was one of the top performers of the night. She then called in the Belmont Bellas to present a song to Underwood. The performance was inspired by “I Got A Girl Crush” by Little Big Town.

    Andrews shared some backstage scoops and snapshots during rehearsals. She showed a clip of her flipping through her script while memorizing her lines for the CMT Music Awards.

    There was a moment during the rehearsals when the Dancing with the Stars host freaked out. She heard a scary crashing noise during Underwood’s practice slot which left her running for help.

    But the incident seemed to be just a false alarm. The noise was just made by an acoustic bass equipment. Andrews clarified the real situation after realizing she reacted wrongly.

    “Breaking news. Let’s clarify on the ticker: She did not fall,” Andrews explained.

    Brittany Snow with co-host Erin Andrews shared more of their thoughts about the whole experience in an interview. Both stated that the 2015 CMT Music Awards was an epic night for them.
