  • Elisabeth Hasselbeck Says Goodbye to ‘Fox and Friends’ In Emotional Sendoff

Elisabeth Hasselbeck ended her two-and-a-half-year tenure on Fox and Friends Tuesday with an emotional sendoff.

Nearly a month to the day after announcing that she would be stepping down as the Fox morning show co-host to spend more time with her family, Elisabeth Hasselbeck bid farewell to her colleagues.

Co-hosts Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade joined her on the show’s curved couch to share memories and to say goodbye.

Hasselbeck once again praised Fox News chairman and CEO Roger Ailes.

“He gave me two gifts: One, he gave me the opportunity to join you all in this family, and two, he gave me an outstanding amount of understanding and guidance when I made this decision to go home,” said Hasselbeck. “Mr. Ailes, I can’t thank you enough. I can’t thank all of you enough for this chance.”

In saying goodbye to Doocy and Kilmeade, Hasselbeck teared up when the duo surprised her with a large photo of the three of them on set, and said of the Fox and Friends team, “I will be watching you. You are going to continue to do awesome work, like before I came.”

“I’ve been so blessed by all of you,” said Hasselbeck. “Thank you.”

“No, Elisabeth, we have been blessed by you,” replied Doocy and he led the staff in a round of applause

Fox and Friends producers and colleagues also shared some of their favorite moments with the co-host.

“We all met Elisabeth weeks before you guys met Elisabeth,” one of the producers, identified simply as “Kelley,” said in a video of clips from Hasselbeck’s first day on Fox and Friends. “Before she walked down the hallway with the guys, she came around and shook everyone’s hand individually and learned everyone’s names right away. She wanted to impress us, and I think as a staff we all looked around and thought, ‘This is going to be the perfect fit.’”

After leaving ABC’s The View in 2013, Elisabeth Hasselbeck joined the Fox News team. Fox plans to rotate a group of co-hosts on Fox and Friends until a permanent replacement is named.

  • Khloe Kardashian Will Reportedly ‘Never Walk Away’ From Lamar Odom As He Continues to Recover

Khloé Kardashian continues to support Lamar Odom as he recovers from his overdose in October and sources say the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star will stand by him come what may.

According to People magazine, the 31-year-old celebrity will continue her regular visits with the 36-year-old former NBA star, who continues to steadily improve cognitively and physically after his near-fatal overdose.

With her family preparing for holiday celebrations, Khloe finds time to spend time with her estranged husband. According to the source for People, “the Lamar situation still weighs on Khloé. She’s not one who just walks away.”

The source continues, “She’s going to be there for him, but she also needs to start focusing back on herself – and she knows that.”

Khloe Kardashian has said numerous times that she is committed to supporting Lamar through his recovery.

“There is a very long road ahead of [Lamar],” she said in October. “He has to walk that road by himself, and, most importantly, he has to want to walk that road. I will be there supporting him every step of the way.”

Reports indicate that Odom’s condition remains the same and he is still using a walker during his rehabilitation. Despite the slow progress, Khloe sees a brighter future on the horizon and looks forward to the hope of a new year.

“Khloé is so looking forward to this year being over: 2015 was a hard one to say the least,” said the source for Khloe Kardashian. “She feels like the new year will bring new things, and she certainly deserves it.”

Dean DeLeo, Robert DeLeo and Eric Kretz released a video, which revisits the band’s former singer Scott Weiland’s most powerful vocal performances.

In the seven minute video, the three bandmates are seen sitting at a mixing board listening to the song Atlanta, which came from the band’s 1999 album No. 4. The threesome share the their memories of recording the track together and find themselves immersed in the power of the music. “Recently the three of us sat down together to share our memories of Scott and take a moment to reflect on the amazing times we shared,” the band said in a statement. “We put the master up of a song called Atlanta from the No. 4 record that we feel really highlights the true brilliance of Scott. We would like to share it with you.

“Together let’s honor Scott…Memories of Candles and Incense. Having the opportunity to listen to these tracks individually reveal the beauty of Scott’s lyrical and melodic gift. This is one of the many musical moments we shared together. It is in this way we would like to remember Scott.”

In 2013, Scott Weiland was fired from Stone Temple Pilots and the DeLeo brothers and Kretz continued to perform under the band’s name.

  • Christmas Cards Make One Autistic Child’s Christmas Dreams Come True

Thousands of Christmas cards were sent to an autistic child whose Christmas wish was to receive cards from people from across the country help

Sean Stewart, a 10-year-old autistic child from Louisiana, hoped to get 1,000 Christmas cards in the mail this year, but by the generosity of many, many more, Sean’s dream was realized, and then some.

According to Time magazine, more than 3,500 people have thus far answered fourth grader Sean Stewart’s call. The response came after Sean’s mother sent out a heartfelt request on social media asking people to send him Christmas cards.

“We’re trying to keep up with the mail. It’s definitely going to surpass 5,000 before it’s over,” his mom Jennifer Robertson told the magazine. “It’s just been overwhelming. I never imagined in my wildest dreams that we’d be able to meet the goal.”

Diagnosed with autism five years ago, Sean’s family learned he was losing his hearing last year, according to Robertson, a 42-year-old Natchitoches, Louisiana teacher. At this time last year, Sean received 450 Christmas cards. That’s when his mother decided to top that number this year.

The response to Sean’s request really took off after local television news stations in Louisiana shared Sean’s story.

“We’ve had people [send them] from California, Texas, New Jersey, New York, Kentucky,” Robertson says, with one letter coming from an Air Force captain based in Qatar.

“It just talks about how Sean’s so brave and an awesome young man, how he had been bullied when he was younger,” continued Robertson. “It’s extremely sweet. It’s just precious.”

Sean has lovingly decided to give as well as receive. He wrote his own Christmas letter to Safyre Terry, who made a similar request after the 8-year-old New York girl was badly burned in an arson fire that killed her family. Safyre has received more than 430,000, according to the New York Times.

“We want to share the love,” Robertson said. “He introduced himself and talks about how he hopes she gets better, how he’d like to be her friend.”

“I just think it’s wonderful that complete strangers want to do something so sweet and selfless, especially at this time of the year when there’s so much sadness,” she adds. “That’s what Christmas is about.”

For those who want to send a card to Sean, address them to:

  • Julia Roberts Reveals Who Wears the Pants in Her Household, Turns Out It’s Her Kids

Julia Roberts has revealed who rules the roost in her household and it’s neither she nor her husband Daniel Moder.

According to the 48-year-old actress, it’s her three children that tend to dictate what transpires in the Moder home.

“I used to have a private library,” Roberts revealed to Germany’s TV Direkt magazine. “But at some point I decided it’s better for books to circulate than gather dust on a shelf. Now my kids have taken over the whole house!”

Married to Moder since 2002, the couple have three kids together – twins Phinnaeus and Hazel, 11, and Henry, eight.

While the world thinks of Roberts as a mega-celebrity and the star of films like Pretty Woman and Notting Hill, she is just mom to her kids and they don’t like to advertise that their mom is so famous.

“My daughter once came home from school and said one of her classmates had asked her if I was THE Julia Roberts – she said no!” Julia laughed. “That’s not a lie to her, because I’m just mom, not a movie star.”

In Hollywood, a 13-year marriage is something of an oddity, but Julia concedes that it take a lot of work to make any marriage last.

“No matter what they dig up or claim about us, we’ve invested a lot in one another,” she said. “My friend once said to me: ‘If you want an interesting relationship, you have to be up to it.’ And she’s right.”

The couple not only manage their household together, they also collaborate professionally, with Daniel serving as cameraman for Julia Roberts’ most recent project, Secret in Their Eyes.

  • Lady Gaga Opens Up About The Traumatic Experience of Being Raped

Lady Gaga has opened up about her traumatic experience of being raped.

In an interview for a TimesTalks Q&A for the campus rape documentary, The Hunting Ground, the 29-year-old songstress said the assault that happend when she was 19 was so frightening that didn’t tell anyone about being rape until seven years after it happened.

“I didn’t tell anyone for, I think, seven years,” said Gaga. “I didn’t know how to even think about it, I didn’t know how to accept it, I didn’t know how to not blame myself or think it was my fault. It’s something that really changed my life, it changed who I was completely. It changed my body, it changed my thoughts.”

In addition to the immediate physical pain and lasting mental and emotional effects, Lady Gaga admitted that she has physically re-experienced the trauma through the years.

“It can trigger patterns in your body of physical distress,” she recalled.

As reported by The New York Post, one aspect of the trauma that lingered for years was her inability to let go of the guilt and self-blame.

“After it happened, I’m like, ‘But what did I do in my life to bring it upon myself?’ Maybe there was some sort of religious guilt attached to it, that I had somehow inspired the violence,” she said. “… For me, because of the way that I dress and the way that I’m provocative as a person, I thought I had brought it upon myself in some way, that it was my fault. I just never even told anyone.”

The documentary also features a powerful song about the subject by Lady Gaga.

Unlike most starlets of her age, the 23-year-old British actress does not like to go to social media to share her life, saying that she has been turned off by the negativity and trolling that is all too common on the internet today.

“I kind of loathe to go on social media. • Alicia Keys Remembers That Time John Mayer Showed Her Love At the Grammys

Alicia Keys has certainly had her fair share of amazing Grammy memories considering the 15 Grammys she has won thus far, but she says one particular memory involving John Mayer sticks with her.

In 2002, the 34-year-old songstress picked up five Grammy Awards for her debut album Songs in A Minor. Even though that was certainly a memorable year, she says her favorite Grammy memory involves John Mayer from 2005.

“John Mayer was up for Daughters and I was up for If I Ain’t Got You, and John Mayer won,” the singer told CBS This Morning about the show in 2005, when both stars were nominated for Song of the Year.

“I loved that song Daughters, and I remember he got up on stage and he said … either onstage or backstage, but the point was that he felt that I should’ve won that award,” said Keys.

Mayer went so far in his conviction that she should share the award that took apart his Grammy award and gave Keys the top half, keeping only the bottom half with his name on it.

“So as far as I’m concerned, I won that!” Keys told CBS of the award that now sits on her shelf at home along with her other Grammy Awards.

On Monday, Keys announced the top four categories on CBS This Morning for 2016’s show. Taylor Swift garnered seven nominations, while Kendrick Lamar picked up 11 nominations.

On Friday, Keys joined Ciara, Martina McBride, Paul Rudd, Hillary Scott, Jussie Smollett and Hailee Steinfeld to present Billboard’s 2015 Women in Music awards at a gala in New York City.

  • Kourtney Kardashian, Scott Disick Done Despite the Appearance of a Reconciliation

Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick may seem to indicate in photos and appearances together that a reconciliation is on the horizon, but according to sources, there is absolutely no chance that Kourtney is taking him back.

According to TMZ, while it may look like the reality star is giving Scott Disick yet another chance, sources for the magazine say it’s not going to happen.

The former couple been seen together multiple times in the last few weeks, sometimes together and at other times with the kids, which has led to much speculation that the two might get back together after Scott’s stint in rehab.

However, according to TMZ, Kourtney is simply trying to create the same post-relationship relationship that her own parents — Kris and Robert Kardashian — enjoyed. When Kris and Robert divorced, they remained close and made it their goal to co-parent their four kids together. It made a huge impression, one she wants to emulate, says the website.

Kourtney apparently still loves Scott but is convinced that the relationship just doesn’t work. Scott, on the other hand, reportedly still has hope that he can win her back, but is beginning to realize that it’s a pipe dream.

What are your thoughts on a reconciliation between Scott and Kourtney Kardashian?

  • Will Smith For President? Don’t Rule It Out, He Says

Will Smith says he is seriously considering adding “politician” to his many hats.

The 47-year-old rapper, singer, producer and actor told CBS correspondent Tracy Smith, in an interview to be broadcast on Sunday Morning the he might toss his hat into the political arena, especially considering the current discourse in the presidential race.

Smith, who stars in the new film Concussion, says he has bigger dreams than just being an actor.

“If people keep saying all the crazy kinds of stuff they’ve been saying on the news lately about walls and Muslims, they’re going to force me into the political arena,” he said.

And Smith says he wouldn’t just settle on being a mayor, or even a senator. Instead, he said he would aim for the top spot. “I mean, I gotta be the President. Come on!” Smith says, adding, “What else would I run for?”

Smith has had a stellar career that include winning four Grammy Awards for his work as a rapper and being twice-nominated for Academy Award for Best Actor for his work in Ali and The Pursuit of Happyness. He was also just nominated for a Golden Globe for his work in Concussion, which chronicles the real life of the doctor who identified brain damage in former NFL football players.

Despite his success, Smith says he still has much to achieve.

“I tell my kids, ‘Be as unrealistic as possible, and then figure out how to make it real,” he said. “The best things that have ever happened, ever, were unrealistic before they happened. So for me, I think being the biggest movie star in the world as a goal actually was too small!”

With many of his goals achieved, Will says he began to ponder, “What else am I going to do?”

“I realized that the dream was too small,” Smith said. “I realized that there was no way that I was put here just to be a movie star.”

Tracy Smith’s interview with Will Smith will air on Sunday Morning on December 13.

However, the 26-year-old Room actress is having none of it. In an interview with CBS News on Sunday, Brie expressed her feelings about being referred to as the new “it” girl.

“What is ‘it’?” Larson asked. “There is no ‘it’! And who was ‘it’ before ‘it’? And when does ‘it’ go away? When did I get ‘it’? Who’s gonna take ‘it’?”

She added, laughing, “I think it’s a really funny term. I’m just a person. I’m not anything!”

While Brie Larson may not be on board with the moniker, there are plenty of reasons why she is being called the “it” girl. Over the summer, she starred alongside Amy Schumer in the box office comedy smash Trainwreck, followed by her role in Room, which has garnered a lot of attention, including Oscar buzz.

The film, based on the novel of the same name by Emma Donoghue, stars Larson as a young woman who is kidnapped and kept in a shed for years. During her captivity, she gives birth to a child, who is five when the film opens. Played by Jacob Tremblay, Jack has never experienced the outside world.

  • Ana DuVernay’s Limited-Edition Barbie Doll Sells Out In Just One Hour

Ava DuVernay’s limited-edition Barbie doll sold out in just one hour earlier this week.

In a telephone interview on Tuesday’s Good Morning America, the Selma director gushed over having a doll with her likeness.

DuVernay said that while she was a “big Barbie girl growing up,” none of the ones she had “looked like me.”

“So with the opportunity to create a doll who had brown skin and natural hair and was directing her own movie, that was an incredible opportunity, so I went for it,” DuVernay said of her motivation to help design a doll that looked like her.

She to GMA that her favorite features of the doll were Barbie’s hair and a director’s chair that accompanied the doll.

“The natural hairstyle was very important to me. I think that’s something that should be celebrated — the differences in all of us. With so much rhetoric about collapsing who we are, it’s about expansion and celebrating everyone,” DuVernay said. “And then the chair was my favorite thing, because it took me a long time to earn that chair. So I wanted every girl and boy to have one.”

DuVernay said she hoped the doll would inspire people to accept different images in storytelling.

“Everyone should be able to see themselves. That’s really what my point is in doing this. Images and balance in storytelling, our imagination, is something that should be embraced and widened and expanded,” she said. “So that’s what I’m hoping this does: Changes the view of who we think a director can be, changes the view of who we think a Barbie should look like.”

Unfortunately, those who were hoping more DuVernay Barbie’s would be forthcoming are out of luck.

Mattel’s social media team kept busy on Tuesday, tweeting an explanation for the limited number of dolls to disappointed consumers. “Our Platinum Label dolls are highly collectible. These dolls tend to sell out quickly & this one is no exception,” the company wrote on Twitter.

“It was always supposed to be a limited run. It was only supposed to be one doll, and it was by popular demand that it was expanded. So it was a short-term celebration, but a good thing,” Ana DuVernay said.

Trump, who currently tops most polls for the Republican presidential nomination, has been widely criticized since his call on Monday to bar Muslims from entering the country after the San Bernardino, Calif., terrorist attacks.

“It’s going to be great,” Gigi said, in what seemed like an attempt to convince herself. “It’s fine. It’s like going to the beach.”

In the end, Gigi didn’t even walk past The Weeknd when he performed, so the encounter never even took place.

What did you think of the VS show? Did the angels look great or what? And what do you think of Gigi Hadid‘s first appearance in the show?

  • Ariel Winter Makes It Very Clear That She and Boyfriend Laurent Claude Gaudette Have Called It Quits

Ariel Winter has made it perfectly clear that she is now a single lady.

In a series of Instagram posts Monday, the Modern Family star announced that she is most assuredly single and was no longer dating boyfriend Laurent Claude Gaudette.

“Start of a new week, start of a new chapter #dancinglikebeyoncemood,” Winter captioned a photo from Beyoncé’s Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It) video, reports People magazine.

No other confirmation has been forthcoming from the 17-year-old actress’ rep. The former couple had been dating for more than two years.

Later in the day, Winter again posted to Instagram, giving a little insight into why the breakup occurred.

“Love doesn’t die, it simply evolves. We grow up, we realize what we truly want,” she said. “I’m excited for this new chapter in my love life- love is all around.. Family, friends, pizza… The old and the new.”

It is unclear when the breakup occurred, but there were hints about the inevitable late last week, when Winter posted a cryptic note, writing, “Time to move forward, time to move on.”

Meanwhile, Ariel Winter has become quite the voice against online bullying and harassment this year after undergoing a breast reduction surgery in early June.

“”I typically never give power to the mean things people bravely say behind their computer screens on the Internet, but this is for the girls who are constantly bullied whether it be online or at school,” she wrote in November. “You are not asking for anything because of what you are wearing- you are expressing yourself and don’t you ever think you deserve the negativity as the consequence to what you are wearing- YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL.”
