  • Karrueche Tran and Chris Brown Engaged? Ring Pic on Instagram Seems to Hint That They May Be

Karrueche Tran posted a photo on Instagram Thursday leading the media to speculate on whether she and her on-gain-off-again boyfriend, Chris Brown, are engaged.

The photo shows two (massive) diamond rings on her hand, which would of course send the whole wide world into a frenzy over whether the two had finally made a commitment to each other. Forget that the rings are on her right hand, and not on THAT finger.

Perhaps Tran finally gave Brown an ultimatum in the aftermath of a very public argument conducted all over social media earlier in the month.

In early December, Brown initiated the drama with a post on Twitter to publicly bash Tran and announce that he was single.

Tran responded with a photo of herself on Instagram, captioned: “Once you find strength within yourself, it’s hard to allow any type of bs around you. I refuse to be repeatedly mistreated, especially by someone who claims to love me. That’s not love. And if that’s what you define as love then I don’t want it.”

Sure enough, he recanted on his original statement with: “Being young and dumb is one of my strong suits and emotional at best. I love hard and react impulsively when I’m hurt at times. I don’t think social media is a place to air out or hash out personal problems and a n—a feel hella WACK for doing it.”

The 25-yer-old added, “So I AM APOLOGIZING I live in a glass house and the same s–t that makes me great also is my curse. Everybody know I love that girl. I don’t care how my image look to the public because I’m still gonna be the best at what I do. I just want baby girl to know I apologize!”

  • Jessica Chambers’ Father Frustrated That ‘No One Seems To Know Anything” About Who Set His Daughter on Fire

Jessica Chambers’ dad is said to be frustrated that no one seems to know who set his daughter on fire and killed her.

According to the Associated Press, Ben Chambers, who works for the sheriff’s department, said he is being told by his colleagues to steer clear of the area where the investigators are working.

“They don’t want me to see the evidence up there. I understand their point too, they’re looking out for my benefit,” he said. “They don’t want me to see things that bring back memories, or see something that maybe I’ll think someone had something to do with it and I’ll go do something to some innocent person. They’re doing everything by the book when it comes to me.”

On Dec. 6, Jessica Chambers, 19, was covered in a flammable liquid and set on fire. She later died from burns that covered more than 98 percent of her body.

Investigators are continuing to follow leads, including reports that it is gang-related, and the results of DNA evidence and fire analysis.

“They’ve questioned people that normally know everything about everything, and nobody seems to know anything about this, that’s what’s so amazing and unbelievable,” he said.

Panola County Sheriff Dennis Darby told The Clarion-Ledger that investigators are getting close to identifying “possible people of interest that could lead us somewhere better than where we are.”

Investigators from several agencies — which include the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, the State Fire Marshal’s office, the FBI, the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and the U.S. Marshals Service — are currently comparing reports and going back to talk to people who have given conflicting accounts, he said.

No one is taking a break during the Christmas holiday. Instead, they are “doing shifts,” Ben Chambers told The Commercial Appeal.

The award for information leading to the arrest of the perpetrator, or perpetrators, grew Monday to $17,800, and more is expected soon, Darby said.

Ben Chambers says he will not rest until the killer of his daughter is found.

“I promise as long as I have breath in me, I can talk to people and make sure they’re not comfortable in there,” he said.

  • Stacey Addison: U.S. Traveler Released After Four-Month ‘Nightmare’ in East Timor Meth Mixup

Stacey Addison was released from East Timor after a four-month “nightmare,” in what started as a simple taxi ride while on a world tour.

Addison, 41, of Oregon was on a leg of an around-the-world trip in the tiny East Asian country when she was arrested after a stranger, who was sharing a taxi with her, picked up a package full of drugs.

Apparently, the stranger asked the taxi driver to stop the taxi to get a DHL package. After getting back into the taxi, police surrounded the vehicle and arrested the occupants because the stranger’s package held methamphetamine.

On Thursday, Addison was released from an East Timor prison, nearly four months after her initial arrest and appeared before reporters Thursday at the home of former East Timorese President and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Jose Ramos-Horta, who is hosting her temporarily at his home.

Addison has yet to leave the country because her passport has not been returned.

The U.S. State Department praised the decision, according to department spokesperson Jen Psaki, but confirmed that Addison remains in Timor-Leste where the government still retains her passport.

Neither she not Ramos-Horta would comment on the case at Thursday’s press conference.

When asked what she would do when do did receive her passport, she said she would “go home.”

“I don’t think my mom would ever forgive me if I didn’t come home immediately and stay for a while,” she said.

Addison’s mother, Bernadette Kero of Oregon, told CNN that the four-month ordeal has been a “nightmare.” On Thursday, she said her daughter’s release was “the best Christmas present I could imagine.

“The past four months have been an extremely stressful time for all of us,” Kero wrote in an email to CNN Thursday. “Of course we are now hoping that her passport will be returned and she will be able to return home to Oregon very soon.

“Her lawyer will work on getting her passport released. I just want to be able to see her and give her a big hug.”

  • Anna Kendrick Says Meryl Streep Is a ‘Bro’ and Emily Blunt Is the ‘Kind of Gal Who Loves a Fart Joke’

Anna Kendrick Says Meryl Streep Is a ‘Bro’ and Emily Blunt Is the ‘Kind of Gal Who Loves a Fart Joke’

Anna Kendrick had a few things to say about her Into the Woods costars during a game of “Cinder-Tell-A!” with Andy Cohen Tuesday.

The Pitch Perfect 2 star made an appearance on Watch What Happens Live! and played a rapid-fire round of the game — aptly named for her Into the Woods character — with Cohen, dishing on her famous cast-mates.

When asked to rate Meryl Streep, who plays the film’s witch, on scale of Meryl to Meryl -— awesome to icy, Kendrick spitted out, “She’s not that Meryl. No. I mean, ’cause you think Meryl and you think she’s going to be like cold and regal and you have to talk to her about very serious things,” Kendrick tried to explain. “She just wants to have a beer and talk about the MTV Movie Awards. She’s just kind of a bro. She’s not super Meryl, for Meryl.”

Next up was a question about what Chris Pine tasted like during their onscreen kiss.

“Cinnamon in a meadow. Dreams,” she said, adding that his butt was “taut and covered in blue velvet. In pale blue velvet.”

Kendrick said her biggest disappointment came when actor Jake Gyllenhaal, who was slated to play the Prince, quit the musical to work on Nightcrawler.

“I didn’t know anybody on the set and it was a real intimidating cast,” she said. “I was going to be all alone, I was going to be Sally No Friends. And it’s all your fault, [Jake].”

On the other hand, the 29-year-old actress and singer said the nicest surprise was the friendship she developed with actress Emily Blunt, who plays the Baker’s wife.

“She’s real self-deprecating. She’s another one you’d think she’d be like cool and English and icy but she’s the kind of gal that who loves a fart joke and I appreciate that,” Kendrick said.

  • Hayden Panettiere Dishes on New Daughter and the ‘Surreal Experience’ of Becoming a Mother

Hayden Panettiere has introduced newborn daughter Kaya to the world, along with some details about life post-baby.

The Nashville star and her fiance Wladimir Klitschko, 38, introduced daughter Kaya Evdokia in the Jan. 12 edition of People magazine.

“I’m limping around. I’m still trying to figure out what [pregnancy] has done to my body, how it’s changed it. What’s temporary and what’s permanent,” the actress told the magazine of the “surreal experience.”

“I feel like an 80-year-old woman trying to go down the stairs, you know — please tell me this is temporary! But I know some things will never be the same again,” she said.

The happy parents welcomed their first child, who weighed in at 7 pounds, 14 ounces, and measured 20 inches long, on Dec. 9.

Panettiere, 25, said she was “grateful” for her epidural and the help of Klitschko’s mother, who has been there to help out as they adjust to becoming new parents.

“She’s really so sweet,” Panettiere said of her new baby girl “I’m sure that’s the way it’s meant to be, because when they are putting you through the wringer you’re like, ‘You are so lucky you’re cute!’”

  • Casey Kasem’s Family Releases Medical Records After Jean Kasem Files Lawsuit Requesting Them

Jean Kasem has succeeded in convincing the children of radio legend Casey Kasem to share all hospital records in their possession after she sued a hospital in Washington state to learn more about the last weeks of his life.

“The Kasem children are happy to provide Mrs. Kasem with all such records in their possession,” the statement said. “These records indisputably show that Mr. Kasem was extremely ill when admitted to St. Anthony’s hospital on June 1, 2014.”

Kerri, Mike and Julie Kasem said in a statement issued through their lawyer Troy Martin on Wednesday that the records will show that their father was well-cared for and that all appropriate measures were taken to preserve Kasem’s life. Records also indicate that when it was clear there was no more to be done to keep him alive, he was allowed to die comfortably.

“These records also demonstrate that Kerri Kasem, as the court-appointed conservator of the person, authorized an aggressive course of treatment to combat the life-threatening infections Mr. Kasem had developed while under Mrs. Kasem’s care.”

Jean Kasem filed suit earlier this month against St. Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor, where Casey Kasem died from dementia last June at the age of 82.

The statement also indicated that the American Top 40 host should have been placed in hospice care. However, Jean Kasem moved her husband to a friend’s home in Washington state from California. In the custody battle that ensued, Kerri Kasem won control of her father’s care and had him taken to the hospital.

“When Casey entered the hospital, there was no expectation he had only a couple of weeks of life left to live,” said Jean Kasem’s attorney Lance Hester.

A court hearing on the lawsuit is scheduled for April.

Casey Kasem was laid to rest at Vestre Gravlund, a cemetery in Oslo, Norway, on Dec. 16, per his widow’s wishes.

  • Amy Adams ‘Confused and Definitely Frustrated’ Over ‘Today’s Decision to Cut Her

Amy Adams is “frustrated” after an appearance scheduled on the Today show was cancelled after she refused to discuss issues pertaining to the Sony hacking scandal.

The actress was slated to appear on Monday to promote Tim Burton’s Big Eyes, but producers pulled the plug on the segment after the actress said she wasn’t willing to answer questions that were likely related to the revelation that surfaced through hacked emails that she and her American Hustle co-star Jennifer Lawrence were paid less than their male counterparts in the Academy-Award nominated film.

“As a news program, the ‘Today’ show doesn’t allow guests to put restrictions on interviews,” the show said in a statement on Monday. “In this case, after hours of discussion we felt uncomfortable with the demands being made and we determined the best course of action for all parties involved was to cancel the interview.”

The actress told USA Today that she told the NBC morning news program that she was “uncomfortable” adding her voice to the conversation about the hack and Sony’s subsequent decision to pull The Interview from theaters.

“But it was clear they were drawing a hard line. That this would be part of the conversation,” she said. “I walked away from the conversation and went up to the room to do the interview. I assumed they were going to ask me about [the Sony hacking]. And I was prepared for that, to whatever degree I was prepared.”

Adams said when she “was informed that they had decided to pull the interview. I was confused and definitely frustrated. I still don’t understand.”

The studio that produced the film, the Weinstein Company, supported the actress’ decision to remain quiet about the Sony hack and said her opinion should be respected.

“We firmly stand behind Amy Adams. We’ve been lucky enough to have had her talents grace several of our films. We are certain her fellow actors and directors would all agree, she is nothing but the consummate professional both on and off set,” they told Just Jared. “Amy decided to speak up for herself and express her disappointment that Today would feel the need to ask her a question she did not feel comfortable , and rather than respect her opinion or continue the discussion, the reaction was to pull her appearance from the show.”

Today reps declined to elaborate any further on the incident.

  • Amy Adams Cut From ‘Today’ Show Over Her Refusal to Discuss Sony Hack

Amy Adams’ appearance on the Today show was cancelled Monday after she refused to discuss the North Korean hack of Sony and the consequent fallout.

Adams was scheduled to appear on the morning show to promote her role in Tim Burton’s new film Big Eyes, but producers pulled the plug on the segment after the actress said she wasn’t willing to answer questions pertaining to the Sony hack.

“As a news program, the Today show doesn’t allow guests to put restrictions on interviews. In this case, after hours of discussion we felt uncomfortable with the demands being made, and we determined the best course of action for all parties involved was to cancel the interview,” a Today spokesman told The Hollywood Reporter.

Today likely wanted Adams to respond to questions about the revelation that surfaced through hacked emails that she and her American Hustle co-star Jennifer Lawrence were paid less than their male counterparts in the Academy-Award nominated film.

The studio that produced the film, the Weinstein Company, supported the actress’ decision to remain tight-lipped about the Sony hack and said her opinion should be respected.

  • Jesse Tyler Ferguson Defends Portrayal of Mitch and Cam on ‘Modern Family’ After Tuc Watkins Compares It to ‘Blackface’

Jesse Tyler Ferguson defended Modern Family‘s portrayal of gay couple, Mitch and Cam, after openly gay actor Tuc Watson bashed the show for its portrayal of gay men on a Facebook post that has since been deleted.

According to Gay Star News, Watkins wrote in his post that the ABC show is “clever, hilarious, even terrifically subtle,” but says he has “a hard time laughing at the gay guys. In fact, I kinda cringe. It feels a little bit like the gay equivalent of ‘blackface.’

“It doesn’t feel ‘modern’ at all. Sure, people come in all shapes, sizes, etc. So why are we fed such 80s stereotypes every week?”

Ferguson, who is gay in real life, defended the characters of Mitch and Cam, played by Ferguson and two-time Emmy winner Eric Stonestreet.

‘Sorry you feel that way Tuc,’ Ferguson, spent several years playing one half of a gay couple on Modern Family, replied to Watson’s post. ‘I know lots of guys who are just like Cam and lots of guys who are just like Mitch. We can’t be expected to represent every gay person. We can only represent these two people.

Ferguson, who was nominated five times for his portrayal of Mitch on the ABC comedy, describes his character as “basically a version of me…so I never know how to take it when people say that he is stereotypical.”

He then addressed the portrayal of Cam.

‘I still can’t figure out how a clown and football coach who also happens to be gay is a stereotype.

“When all is said and done, it’s a family sitcom. I feel our writers do a fantastic job of servicing 11 characters each week in just 22 minutes. I am incredibly proud to play Mitch and I have a lot of pride in our show.”

Ferguson recalled being a closeted kid in the 1980s who “would have loved to have had a show like Modern Family to watch with my parents.

“It would have meant a lot to me to see who I secretly was reflected on television. TV has come a long way and it continues to forge new ground.”

Ferguson complimented Watkins’ own work portraying gay men.

“I am thrilled with the work that you did on Desperate Housewives. It opened the door for shows like ours and hopefully we can hold that door open for many more shows to follow us.

“At the end of the day we can’t please everyone..and we shouldn’t try to. Kinda just like life, right?”

Watkins took one more hit before ending his criticism.

“I’m sure I scrutinize their characters more than the others. Maybe I can’t see the forest for the trees.

“But there’s probably a kid stuffed into a high school locker answering to that stereotype who doesn’t think it’s very funny either.

“The writers on that show are some of the funniest writers on television today. Why spend their time promulgating stereotypes that polarize us?”

Lea Michele Kills It Singing Full Version of ‘Let It Go’ For ‘Glee’ — Listen

Lea Michele kills it singing her rendition of the number one song of the year, Let It Go, from the movie Frozen.

Michele sings the song that continues to drive parents crazy for the Season 6 premiere of the Fox series, Glee.

The season opener finds the crew, including many of the original glee club singers, back in Lima, Ohio after two seasons in New York City.

For the season opener, Michele sings the Disney classic and one can’t help but marvel at the similarities between her voice and the originator of the song, Idina Menzel, who ironically plays her mom on Glee.

While details of the Season 6 premiere are unknown, one can only imagine that the song may have something to do with the loss of Finn Hudson on the show, which was played by Michele’s real-life boyfriend at the time, Cory Monteith, who tragically died in July 2013 from an overdose.

Listen and enjoy below, via People Magazine:

Michele’s cover of Let It Go will be available on iTunes on Tuesday, and the final season of Glee premieres 8 p.m. ET Friday Jan. 9 on FOX.

  • Gigi Hadid Flashes More Than Her Pretty Smile in New ‘Love Magazine’ Video — Shows Some Serious Side-Boob

Gigi Hadid flashes a little more than her pretty smile in a new video for the Love Magazine advent calendar posted on Monday.

The new Victoria’s Secret model flashes some side-boobage as she jumps about in the black-and-white video shot by Daniel Jackson and styled by Julia von Boehm, Gigi could be seen jumping around as her hair was blown.

In the video, she is shown wearing a white cut-out bodysuit, which features lace ties down the front, with a jean jacket tied around her waist. She later sports white ripped jeans. With her hair blown about, she demonstrates all of her poses — pouting, smiling and blowing kisses to the camera.

On Sunday, the on-again-off-again girlfriend of Cody Simpson posted the video on Instagram.

Hadid knows how to work it in front of the camera because of her experience as a model from an early age.

“Since the day I started, I’ve been very happy with my body,” she told Vogue in August. “And I never felt the need to change for the industry; [her agents at] IMG know I don’t want to be two pounds soaking wet.”

“My queen was Candice Swanepoel, who is a friend of mine now, which is kind of funny, but in high school I was obsessed,” she told the magazine. “I love her street style, she is always in cool boyfriend jeans, boots, and an awesome coat, which is very much like what I wear.”

“I think the last time I saw her was at one of Carine Roitfeld’s parties and she was dressed in a beautiful silk gown with cowboy boots! I love her style but I think when I was younger, it was that I loved her confidence and her presence,” she added.

  • Lindsey Vonn, Tiger Woods’ Girl, Crashes Sunday Dashing Her Hopes to Tie World Cup Record

Lindsey Vonn crashed during Sunday’s super-G race in France, dashing her hopes to tie a World Cup record.

Tiger Woods‘ girlfriend was vying to tie the 62nd World Cup race, but she crashed after entering a gate too wide.

In the end, Austrian Elizabeth Goergl beat fellow Austrian, Olympic champion Anna Fenniger, by 0.05 seconds to win the race.

The four-time World Cup champion thankfully did not hurt her already weakened knee, but she suffered a sore elbow after it took the brunt of the fall. She has undergone two operations for her knee recently and it has been a slow recovery.

“I was risking everything and attacking the course. That sometimes happens in super-G; you don’t have any training runs and you have just one inspection,” Vonn said. “I hit my elbow, somehow funny. I have some ice on it. It’s just a little bit swollen, but no big deal.”

After her tumble, which drew gasps from the crowd, Vonn lay on her back for a several moments, then flexed her right leg, before getting up, which worried commentators.

“I was on the limit and hit some softer snow and lost a little bit of elevation, and then I wasn’t able to make the gate,” the 30-year-old Vonn said. “The most important thing is my knees are good.”

Vonn won Saturday’s downhill for her 61st World Cup win, 0.01 seconds ahead Georgl’s time, and was happy to snap a winning photo with …. well, a cow she won for coming in first in the downhill.

She was hoping to come out strong on Sunday, but it just wasn’t her best day.

“I didn’t feel quite as sharp as I normally do,” Vonn said. “I was a little bit tired; yesterday was a very long day.”

Vonn will have her next chance to tie the record Jan. 10-11, at the Austrian resort of Bad Kleinkirchheim, which would be fitting considering it’s her homeland.

Overall leader Tina Maze of Slovenia finished third, 0.13 behind Georgl.

“The course was really tricky, and I kind of like that,” Goergl said.

Swiss star Lara Gut came in fourth, followed by Nadia Banchini of Italy. American Julia Mancuso came in sixth.

  • Naomi Watts Defends Renee Zellweger’s Changing Looks — ‘Leave Her Alone’

Naomi Watts thinks everyone should just leave Renee Zellweger alone and stop speculating about her changing looks.

Zellweger has been the focus of intense media scrutiny recently after she stepped out looking nearly unrecognizable in October.

The SAG-nominated actress spoke to British InStyle and shared her opinion on the rumors about the Bridget Jones’ Diary star’s looks, which include speculation that she has undergone plastic surgery.

“[The backlash] was cruel and unnecessary,” she told the magazine, via E! News. “I saw a picture and I thought she looked great! She looked amazing! Leave her alone! You can’t win can you?”

Watts said she is not against plastic surgery and understands why women would want to go under the knife.

“I don’t have any judgment about [plastic surgery]; whoever makes that choice, that’s fine,” she said. “It’s not easy watching yourself get older, but when I look at two women in their fifties or sixties or seventies side by side, one who’s had surgery and one who hasn’t, I think one likes themselves a lot more and one looks more dignified and graceful.”

The 46-year-old actress said she would consider the possibility of having a little work done in the future, even though she hopes to stand by her current stance to age gracefully.

“I hope I get to stay being that woman,” Watts said. “But I would never say ‘never.’”

Zellweger also addressed the rumors in October, telling People Magazine, “I’m glad folks think I look different! I’m living a different, happy, more fulfilling life, and I’m thrilled that perhaps it shows.”

  • Katie Cassidy Flaunts Amazing Abs While on R&R in Miami

Katie Cassidy was looking mighty fine Saturday while flaunting her amazing abs in a bikini in Miami Beach.

The Arrow star is taking a break from filming the CW series and enjoying some much deserved rest and relaxation in sunny Florida.

According to Just Jared, the 28-year-old has been seen wearing a variety of bikinis, each one outdoing the next.

On Friday, she was snapped once again on the beach and hitting up the pool with a group of friends.

Also on Saturday, Katie‘s co-stars Stephen Amell and Manu Bennett were seen navigating Vancouver, Canada’s airport on their way to some unknown destination. The CW show is filmed in Vancouver.

Those abs don’t come without work. Cassidy spoke with Access Hollywood in November about training for the series.

“I’m working out and training at least 2-3 hours a day, and sometimes I’m on set for 12-15 hours, so it gets really tiring, but it’s so worth it.” Cassidy said, “I’m so happy, and I’m having a blast, and it was really crazy one day when I woke up and all of the sudden I had biceps! I was like ‘Oh, okay, I have shoulders and biceps and this is awesome!”

  • Tom Brokaw Received an Early Christmas Gift — News That His Cancer Is In Remission

Tom Brokaw has been given the news that his cancer is in remission and he couldn’t wait to let his NBC colleagues know.

The 74-year-old former NBC Nightly News anchor sent a note to the employees of the network to inform them that his cancer had gone into remission.

“A year ago my future was more uncertain than I cared to acknowledge but now I face the New Year with very encouraging news,” he wrote. “The cancer is in remission and I will shortly go on a drug maintenance regimen to keep it there.”

Brokaw kept his note brief, but said that after returning from the 70th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge last month, he was reminded that whatever challenges he faced didn’t compare to those who served in the military during the incredibly lengthy and horrible battle.

“I was a Presidential delegate to the 70th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge, the fight which went on for most of December 1944, in one of the worst winters in 20th century Europe,” wrote Brokaw.

“Monty Meigs and I went into the forest surrounding Bastogne where remains of the original 101st Division fox holes still are visible. About 30 vets returned. The oldest was 96, and the youngest 89.”

“I flew home reflecting again on how lucky we are that that generation gave us the lives we have today – how my last year was a challenge but I was meeting it in world class hospitals with brilliant physicians, not in a foxhole in the Ardennes,” he concluded, and signed his note “T Bone.”

Brokaw was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in August 2013, but didn’t reveal it until February 2014.

“I am very optimistic about the future and look forward to continuing my life, my work and adventures still to come,” he said in February.

  • ‘Bob Newhart Show’ Finale Honored On Craig Ferguson’s ‘The Late Late Show’ Farewell

The Bob Newhart Show finale was honored by Craig Ferguson during his farewell to the The Late Late Show Friday.

In a surprise twist, Bob Newhart was revealed to be Secretariat the Pantomime Horse all these years as he got Friday’s The Late Late Show finale under way in a Newhart-style ending.

As the 52-year-old host chatted with Geoff the robot, he wondered who it might be inside the horse costume.

“Lift up your head, let’s see who you really are,” he hollered to Secretariat, who was hanging out in his stall. As Secretariat complied and took off the head of the costume, it was revealed to be Newhart.

“What are you doing here?” Ferguson asked.

“Hey, guy, it’s YOUR dream,” replied the Newhart, referring to the classic final scene from his sitcom.

Ferguson woke up from his dream in bed beside Drew Carey, wondering if the past 10 years had been a dream all along, spoofing the sitcom’s ending when Newhart woke up with Suzanne Pleshette beside him.

Ferguson’s only guest for the evening was Tonight Show host Jay Leno.

“Just two guys with nothing to do,” said Ferguson.

“They may take our talk shows,” Leno added, “but they will never take our freedom!”

Ferguson ended the show thanking his viewers.

“The people that made this show are you,” he said. “You came to a show that was like, let’s be honest, a bit of a fixer-upper, and it kind of stayed that way.”

The Scottish-born host, who became an American a few years back, marveled at the impact the show has had on him.

“I think that what was more overwhelming, more than anything else in the experience of doing this show, was making a connection with a country, which I became a part of, which is astonishing to me,” he said.

“Even in the course of this show, I became an American… officially, and particularly for my friends at the IRS, I am now a fully-fledged American. … I wanted to do this show and now we’ve done this show, and if you will indulge me in whatever I am doing now and come to whatever I do next, I’d be very grateful, because my kids are still young.”

  • Ismaaiyl Brinsley, Identified Shooter of 2 NYPD Police Officers, Bragged About Intentions on Social Media

Ismaaiyl Brinsley, the lone gunman identified as the shooter of 2 NYPD police officers, bragged about his intentions to give “pigs their wings” on social media.

The Baltimore resident, who allegedly killed the officers to avenge the deaths of Eric Garner and Michael Brown, reportedly shot his girlfriend early Saturday before traveling to Brooklyn, where he snuck up on a police car and shot two officers “execution” style in the head. After the shooting, he allegedly walked to a subway station, where he turned the gun on himself.

A police source told the New York Post the killings resembled “an execution,” with the shooter “pumping bullets” into the officers.

According to International Business Times, Brinsley posted on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook before and after the shooting, but the accounts have since been removed.

Before the accounts were removed, people were able to get screenshots of the disturbing posts.

“I’m Putting Wings On Pigs Today,” Brinsley posted on Instagram under the moniker DontRunUp. “They Take 1 Of Ours… Let’s Take 2 of Theirs #ShootThePolice #RIPErivGardner #RIPMikeBrown… This May Be My Final Post. I’m Putting Pigs In A Blanket.”

NYPD Commissioner William Bratton confirmed Brinsley was linked to a shooting in Baltimore County, Maryland, according to the New York Times.

Maryland officials, who were made aware of the social media posting against the NYPD, notified New York, but it was too late — the officers were being shot at the time the NYPD received the notice.

Bratton said there was no indication Brinsley had any accomplices.

A man who claims to be a friend of Brinsley, Paul Young, told the Daily Mail the alleged shooter is a rapper who was very involved in the anti-police protests.

Attorney General Eric Holder deemed the shooting deaths of two New York City police officers “cowardly” and an “unspeakable act of barbarism,” according to the Associated Press.

President Obama “has been briefed on the Brooklyn police shooting” and “officials continue to monitor the situation,” according to a White House press release.

  • Emma Watson, a UN Goodwill Ambassador, Named Top Feminist Celebrity of the Year

Emma Watson, a UN Goodwill Ambassador, Named Top Feminist Celebrity of the Year

Emma Watson was named the top feminist celebrity of the year by the Ms. Foundation and Cosmopolitan.com. She was chosen by the public in an online survey.

As a UN Goodwill Ambassador, Watson helped found the HeForShe Campaign this year, for which she gave a rousing speech urging men to take up the feminist cause, telling them, “gender equality is your issue, too.”

The recently single Watson, a Brown University graduate with a degree in English Literature, explained her reasons for advocating for the feminist movement during the speech.

“I started questioning gender-based assumptions when at eight I was confused at being called ‘bossy,’ because I wanted to direct the plays… When at 14 I started being sexualized by certain elements of the press. When at 15 my girlfriends started dropping out of their sports teams because they didn’t want to appear ‘muscly.’ When at 18 my male friends were unable to express their feelings.”

Watson went on to say gender equality is not just a fight for women.

“..in the UK suicide is the biggest killer of men between 20-49 years of age; eclipsing road accidents, cancer and coronary heart disease. I’ve seen men made fragile and insecure by a distorted sense of what constitutes male success. Men don’t have the benefits of equality either. We don’t often talk about men being imprisoned by gender stereotypes but I can see that that they are and that when they are free, things will change for women as a natural consequence.”

The complete list includes Emma Watson, Laverne Cox, Rachel Maddow, Beyoncé, Cher, Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Meryl Streep, Mindy Kaling and Ann Curry.

“We celebrate all feminists every day, but today we’re giving a hat tip to celebrities who are helping to promote women’s equality,” Ms. Foundation President Teresa Younger said in a statement. “Every celebrity on the list has either embraced the term ‘feminist,’ spoken out for women’s equal rights or battled against sexist oppression.”

  • David Schwimmer to Play O.J. Simpson’s Attorney Robert Kardashian Sr. Alongside Cuba Gooding Jr. as O.J. in Miniseries

David Schwimmer is set to play Kris Jenner’s late ex-husband and O.J. Simpson’s attorney Robert Kardashian Sr., alongside Cuba Gooding Jr. as O.J. Simpson, in the upcoming miniseries American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson.

The 10-episode series, directed by Ryan Murphy and starring American Horror Story‘s Sarah Paulson as prosecutor Marcia Clark, will document Simpson’s 1995 murder trial in the death of his wife Nicole Simpson Brown.

According to an FX press release, “the miniseries takes a look at the O.J. Simpson trial told from the perspective of the lawyers that explores the chaotic behind-the-scenes dealings and maneuvering on both sides of the court.” In addition, it will examine how “a combination of prosecution confidence, defense wiliness, and the LAPD’s history with the city’s African-American community gave a jury what it needed: reasonable doubt.”

Written by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski, the miniseries is based on Jeffrey Toobin’s book, The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson.

American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson is the first in a new anthology miniseries focusing on famous crime cases.

Simpson is currently serving nine to 33 years in prison after he was convicted on multiple felony charges, including armed robbery and kidnapping, for leading a group of men in an armed confrontation with two sports memorabilia dealers in a Las Vegas hotel in 2007.

Kardashian Sr., father of Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and son Rob Kardashian, died at the age of 59 in September 2003 from esophageal cancer. He and Jenner divorced in 1991 after 13 years of marriage.

  • Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard Share the News of the Arrival of Second Daughter Delta Bell on Twitter

Kristen Bell and Parenthood hubby, Dax Shepard, have shared the news of the arrival Friday of their second daughter Delta Bell via Twitter.

Little Delta Bell joins her 21-month-old big sister, Lincoln.

“Delta Bell Shepard is here. She doesn’t look like either Kristen or me, but we’re gonna keep her anyway,” Shepard wrote about her new daughter.

“The estrogen has now hit critical mass! Good luck, Dax. And welcome to the world DELTA BELL SHEPARD,” Bell added.

In November, the Frozen actress donated more than $91,000 worth of baby supplies to needy families.

“I understand the importance of having the essential tools necessary to provide for a newborn. Greater still, I am aware of the immeasurable value of having support systems in place to ensure success on this journey of motherhood,” Bell told ABC News. “Anything I can offer in support and care to new moms in need remains a huge priority to me.”

Just before Delta’s arrival, Shepard posted a video of his wife doing what most expecting, and impatient, new mom’s do — try to get labor started any way possible.

“Certain members of the family are READY for other members of the family to kindly exit their body,” he captioned the video of Bell bouncing on a ball.

In the weeks leading up to Delta’s arrival, the couple shared a slew of adorable photos of themselves.
