“Everybody loves massages; I don’t know what my problem is,” she says. “I feel like I have to talk to the masseuses.”

The Pitch Perfect star said whenever she goes for a massage she winds up talking to the masseuse rather than enjoying the experience.

“Pretty soon, I’m asking for their grandma’s recipe for apple pie and pretending like I’m interested. Why?” said Kendrick. “Besides, I’d rather do this face to face when their hands aren’t all over my naked body.”

  • Jessica Chastain: From High School Dropout to Hollywood Royalty

Jessica Chastain may have dropped out of high school as a teen, but she is certainly showing where her talents lie with two Oscar nominations, a Golden Globe award and much critical acclaim.

The 37-year-old actress told Entertainment Weekly Thursday that she didn’t graduate from high school. Chastain attended Sacramento’s El Camino Fundamental High School, but never received her diploma.

“Nobody knows this about me — I dropped out of high school,” Chastain told the magazine. “I was not a hard worker. I was a terrible student.”

Like so many other artistic types, the A Most Violent Year actress was just biding her time until she found her niche in life, and she sure found her niche.

The Interstellar actress has starred in a slew of big films, including Zero Dark Thirty, Mama, The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby, and the upcoming Crimson Peak.

“Eventually I got my adult diploma, but I did not graduate,” said Chastain, who later attended Juilliard through a scholarship from Robin Williams when she was 22. “It wasn’t that I just dropped out and never went back — at the end of the year I had too many absences to graduate… I would cut school and sit in my car, reading Shakespeare.”

Chastain, who was nominated for an Oscar for her roles in 2012’s Zero Dark Thirty and 2011’s The Help, said her failure to complete high school did effect her confidence.

“I thought that I wasn’t an intelligent person because I did so poorly,” she said. “There are kids out there that aren’t doing well in school and I hope they never think it means they’re stupid. It’s all about finding where your interest lies and finding what you’re good at.”

Yep, it’s all about finding your niche in life.

Rashad, who worked with the beleaguered actor for 10 years as Claire Huxtable on NBC’s The Cosby Show, initially declined to comment by saying she didn’t “want to become part of the public debate.”

However, she then said she had never seen any behavior by Cosby to suggest there is was ever any impropriety or any truth to the decades-old sexual misconduct allegations that have resurfaced in recent months.

“Forget these women,” Rashad said of the slew of women who accused the actor in the media.

“What you’re seeing is the destruction of a legacy,” she said. “And I think it’s orchestrated. I don’t know why or who’s doing it, but it’s the legacy. And it’s a legacy that is so important to the culture.”

But what about supposed legitimate sources like Janice Dickinson, who claims Cosby drugged and assaulted her, and Beverly Johnson, who alleges he drugged her?

“Oh, please” the 66-year-old actress responded to the question.

“Someone is determined to keep Bill Cosby off TV,” Rashad said. “And it’s worked. All his contracts have been canceled.”

She shared her distress that the Cosby Show is now “being destroyed.”

Rashid also expressed her admiration for Bill’s wife, Camille Cosby, who has publicly denounced accusations against her husband.

“This is a tough woman, a smart woman,” said Rashad, adding that there is no way she would look the other way if there was any truth to the accusations. “She’s no pushover.”

  • Malia Obama’s Unauthorized Photo Creating a Buzz on the Internet

An unauthorized photo of 16-year-old Malia Obama is creating a buzz on the internet.

Pro Era, a hip-hop music collective based in Brooklyn, New York, posted a photo of President Barack Obama’s daughter on their Instagram account. The photo shows the teen wearing a T-shirt with the company’s red and green logo on the front, with her hands raised above her head.

The White House has been very protective of Malia and her 13-year-old sister, Sasha, so the publication of the photo is surprising. In fact, the White House declined comment Tuesday, which some attribute as a sign of White House disapproval of the photo’s distribution.

The only time the girls are authorized to appear in the media is when they are with Obama and-or first lady Michelle Obama. Otherwise, no mention of their name or use of their image is authorized.

Bradley Bledsoe, a spokesman for Pro Era, told the Associated Press in an email that “the group received the photo from a mutual friend of Pro Era and Malia, and the photo is real.”

There is no independent confirmation that the photo is real.

Bledsoe also confirmed that Pro Era was never contacted by the White House.

According to the AP, Michelle Obama contacted Ty Inc. to voice her disapproval of the company naming a pair of the popular Beanie Babies toys after the girls. The company renamed them following the First Lady’s complaints.

“I’ve quit,” she told the magazine after quitting for a second time. “I got hooked for a few years.”

“I had a four-year break, and then actually when I was producing Song One, I started smoking again,” she said. “It’s easy to romanticize it when you haven’t done it in a while, but it’s actually pretty disgusting.”

She said she is thrilled to be rid of those “disgusting” cigarettes, however, the Interstellar actress said she has nothing against e-cigs.

“I don’t judge the vape,” she admitted. “I know some people who used to be three-pack-a-day smokers, and I’d much prefer them having the vape. I don’t want to give them any excuse not to vape.”

Hathaway also admitted that she has another New Year’s Resolution, although she hesitated to mention it.

“I have one, but I don’t want to mention it because it’s scaring me,” the Oscar-winning actress said. “And it has nothing to do with pregnancy. But it’s not because of a problem. It’s just because why not: I’m going to really prioritize my health this year and not drink, at least not in January. I want to take a month off.”

Charlie Sheen is at it — again — and he’s had to apologize — again.

On Tuesday, Sheen felt compelled to apologize to Kim Kardashian via Twitter after he bashed the reality star in a since-deleted Twitter rant.

The 49-year-old actor lost it against Kardashian, 34, after he heard that the reality star had allegedly refused to sign an autograph for a six-year-old fan.

Although the tweets have been deleted, TMZ managed to document the rant before it was gone.

“She cries about it every night before she goes to sleep,” Sheen wrote. “You are lucky that ANYONE cares about your gross and giggly [sic] bag of funk you dare call an ass.”

Oh, that’s just the beginning of his tirade.

After the internet went abuzz with the rant, Sheen deleted the tweet and offered a different sort of message.

He ended his message with: “I’m an idiot as often as I’m a genius. that day, clearly I was the former. xox c #ShutUpSheen.”

  • Christopher Darden, O.J. Simpson Prosecutor, Says He Is Now ‘Pissed Off’ Over the Outcome of the Trial

Christopher Darden, the prosecutor in the 1995 historic O.J. Simpson trial that has been dubbed the “trial of the century,” says he is “pissed off” at the outcome of the proceedings that set the football player accused of killing ex-wife Nicole Simpson-Brown free.

The trial was watched around the world and became the first completely televised court proceeding. At the center of the media circus was Darden and lead prosecutor Marcia Clark. The two of them, as well as some key witnesses for the state, faced incredible scrutiny, criticism and outright ridicule for the handling of the trial.

Twenty years later, Darden leads a life away from the blaring lights and criticism.

“Sometimes I get recognized as the O.J. Simpson prosecutor,” he told Oprah: Where Are They Now? “People say, ‘Oh, that’s Darden. Oh, he’s put on weight in 20 years!’”

Darden, 58, said the backlash was, at times, more than he could take.

“I was devastated and decimated by the trial,” he said.

Darden said as the years wore on, depression has been replaced with anger.

“I don’t think I’m so much as bitter. Now, I think I’m angry,” he says. “I mean, I couldn’t be angry back then. I couldn’t be pissed off, because I’m a prosecutor. But now, I’m just Chris Darden. Now I can just be pissed off.”

While Darden still practices law, he has switched sides in criminal court proceedings.

“I’m a criminal law defense attorney,” he says. “And I write a little bit here and there.”

A father of three with his wife of 17 years, Marcia, Darden said he wouldn’t encourage his kids to pursue law, but wouldn’t be surprised if they did.

“I have the smartest family anyone could have,” he says proudly. “My children are brilliant children. I don’t think that any of them should pursue criminal law,” Darden says. “But I could certainly see them becoming lawyers.”

  • Kathy Taylor, Pregnant Cancer Fighter Who Inspired Sarah McLachlan, Dies

Kathy Taylor, a cancer fighter who inspired singer Sarah McLachlan and others by her “strength and courage,” has died in Utah at the age of 34, according to the Deseret News.

Taylor, who died at her home in Bear River on Wednesday, made headlines for her fight against cancer while pregnant with her sixth child. She was four months pregnant when she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of melanoma.

Taylor and doctors tried to keep the pregnancy going throughout her treatment, but she gave birth prematurely on Sept. 11 to son Luke, who weighed 1 pound, 15 ounces. He died a few weeks after his birth.

Taylor was originally diagnosed seven years ago and was declared cancer free after doctors removed melanoma from her back.

When the cancer returned in June, Taylor and her husband, Nate Taylor, decided to blog the entire experience on their website Kathysmiracle.com.

McLachlan, who heard the story and was moved by Taylor’s experience, decided to help raise funds to cover Taylor’s medical costs.

Taylor had recorded McLachlan’s famous song, I Will Remember You, and the singer who called Taylor’s experience “a story of strength and courage” helped make Taylor’s version of the song available on iTunes with all proceeds going to her medical expenses.

More than $70,000 was raised through various fundraising venues.

Throughout the ordeal and Taylor’s subsequent death, family members relied on their greatest strength — their faith.

In a final post on Christmas Eve, Taylor said that she tried to “hang on” until Christmas so she could share the holiday with her family and shared her most heart-felt prayer.

“I have to admit it has been extremely hard and I pray constantly for strength to endure cheerfully, to be able to continue to be kind and nurturing to my family till the end and I’ve been praying to not be afraid of what the end will look like,” she wrote.

“I pray for my husband to be comforted,” she continued. “I know this is hard for him. I still trust that God is completely aware and that everything will happen as it should. I will be grateful to be out of pain and with Heavenly Father and Jesus and hope to be able to offer lots of comfort to my family from the other side. I am so grateful they have so many wonderful people to turn to, a merciful God they can always pray to.”

Nicole Kidman says she is happier person today than ever.

In an interview on Tuesday with Matt Lauer for Today, the Paddington actress said life is very different now, especially after moving to Nashville with husband Keith Urban in 2006.

Lauer questioned Kidman on a statement her friend Sheryl Crow made for Elle Magazine in regards to Nicole’s reputation for being “icy” because she is always “so poised.” Kidman said her reputation partly stems from the roles she chooses, but also attributes her “icy” reputation to her innate shyness that can make her seem standoffish.

“I am very shy, but as I’ve gotten older, I’ve lost some of that shyness,” she said. “And I laugh a lot more now. I’m happier.”

Kidman, who was on the show promoting her new film Paddington, said she loves the movie because it embraces values like “kindness to strangers” and “kindness to others.”

Kidman couldn’t help but gush on her life in Nashville, where the simplicity of their world with their daughters, six-year-old Sunday and two-year-old Faith, is everything she’s always dreamed of.

“We have a very easy, warm, peaceful life,” she said. “That’s something I’ve always wanted and was heading towards, but didn’t know how to find it. I’ve found it now.”

“We are so blessed and we laugh a lot and play a lot,” Kidman said of the man she decided she wanted to marry after dating for only a month. “I just laugh.”
