  • Leah Remini Praises ‘Brave’ Documentary That Calls Out Scientology

Leah Remini praised a controversial HBO Scientology documentary, calling the filmmakers “brave.”

Just hours after the airing of Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief, Leah Remini tweeted her admiration for the film.

“Thank you to the brave who did something about it. And to those who didn’t have a voice, you do now. #GoingClear,” tweeted the 44-year-old actress, who made headlines when she left Scientology in July 2013.

The film, directed by Oscar-winner Alex Gibney, is based on Lawrence Wright’s 2013 book, Going Clear: Scientology, Hollywood and the Prison of Belief, which takes an in-depth look at the religion and includes interviews with former members of the church.

First premiering at the Sundance Film Festival to critical acclaim, the church has denounced the film through statements and a twitter campaign against the film.

“The accusations made in the film are entirely false and alleged without ever asking the Church,” Scientology officials said in a statement. “The Church is committed to free speech. However, free speech is not a free pass to broadcast or publish false information.”

The most recent tweets in a Twitter campaign launched through an account called Freedom Media Ethics to slam the documentary show a number of photos of men and women sleeping in a movie theater while watching the film, with captions such as “HBOring..Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…”

Leah Remini made headlines when she left Scientology more than two years ago, claiming that she had lived through years of “interrogations” and “thought modification.”

“I wish to share my sincere and heartfelt appreciation for the overwhelming positive response I have received from the media, my colleagues, and from fans around the world. I am truly grateful and thankful for all your support,” said Leah Remini in a statement.

Needless to say, the backlash was immediate from other celebrity Scientology followers, including Kirstie Alley.

“When you are generalizing and when your goal is to malign and to say things about an entire group—there are tens of millions of Scientologists in the world—when you decide to blanket statement that Scientology is evil, you are my enemy,” said Kirstie Alley.

Remini told Buzzfeed several months after leaving the church that she did so for her daughter.

“In my house, it’s family first—but I was spending most of my time at the church,” she said. “So, I was saying ‘family first,’ but I wasn’t showing that. I didn’t like the message that sent my daughter.”

  • Julianne Hough ‘Traumatizes’ Brother Derek Hough With Raunchy ‘Lip Sync Battle’

Julianne Hough has “traumatized” big brother Derek Hough in her interpretation of a song for an upcoming Spike’s Lip Sync Battle.

They may be better known for their incredible dancing skills, but they siblings proved they could bring it in a lip sync battle.

In an preview of an upcoming episode of Spike’s Lip Sync Battle, Julianne Hough and Derek Hough take on each other to prove who has got the chops for lip synching.

First up was 29-year-old Derek Hough, who dons a wig to pour out his heart in an emotional performance of Sia’s Chandelier. Of course, with just a brief glimpse of Derek’s talents in the preview, it’s difficult to determine just how good he is.

Up next was Julianne “va-va-voom” Hough, who decided to lip sync to The Lonely Island and Akron’s I Just Had Sex.

Julianne Hough, 26, wearing black short-short tights and a red body-hugging top got those hips moving in her interpretation of the song, leading brother Derek Hough to hide his eyes. Suppose no big brother wants to see his little sis as a sex object. Just too awkward.

Derek Hough responded by saying at the end of the clip, “I’m traumatized here … No, I’m straight up traumatized.”

  • Kathrin Goldbach, Girlfriend of Germanwings Co-Pilot Andreas Lubitz, Reportedly Pregnant

Kathrin Goldbach, who was reportedly dating Germanwings co-pilot Andreas Lubitz, is believed to have discovered two weeks ago that she is pregnant.

Kathrin Goldbach had been dating the pilot — who is believed to have deliberately crashed the A320 Airbus plane into the side of a mountain in the French Alps, killing 150 people — off and on for more than seven years.

Most recently, Goldbach was rumoured to have ended their relationship because of the latter’s controlling personality.

A friend of Kathrin Goldbach, who makes her living as a high school teacher, allegedly told The Daily Star that the pilot used “to order her what to wear, what men she could speak to, even the length of her skirts.”

“He was a control freak of the highest order,” the friend said.

Another said that Lubitz had “problems with mood swings.”

The report said Kathrin Goldbach, who was living with Lubitz in Dusseldorf Germany at the time of the crash, told her students that she was “going to be a mother.”

The report further claims she was planning to move out over cheating and gay rumors about the pilot.

Meanwhile, investigators continue to piece together the events that led to the horrific crash of Germanwings Flight 4U9525.

A transcript of the flight data indicates the pilot was locked outside the cockpit in the final minutes leading to the crash after leaving for a restroom break. He is heard shouting, “open the damn door!” and later trying to break down the door as passengers screamed.

According to The New York Times, Lubitz, 27, was diagnosed recently diagnosed with “vision problems,” which may have exacerbated an already existing psychiatric condition.

Investigators are exploring the theory that the severe stress and fear of losing his job as a result of the condition may have driven him to crash the Airbus A320 into the side of a mountain in the French Alps.

  • Harrison Ford Released From Hospital Three Weeks After Plane Crash

Harrison Ford, 72, has been released from a Los Angeles hospital just three weeks after a plane crash that nearly took his life.

The Star Wars star was spotted out and about in Los Angeles over the weekend — a much-welcomed sight after the actor suffered head, pelvis and ankle injuries in the March 5 crash of his WWII vintage plane on a golf course.

People magazine reported that Harrison Ford was spotted driving around Los Angeles and had been discharged from hospital to recover in the comfort of his own home.

The magazine further reports that a doctor well-versed in the type of injuries the actor suffered said Harrison Ford would require months of rehabilitation.

“The therapy is primarily stabilisation exercises and also gait training, like actually getting the patient up and moving again – pretty much just leaving how to walk while minimizing the main,” said Dr Beny Charchian, founder of the Joint and Spine Institute in Beverly Hills.

Harrison Ford has been praised for his unselfish actions in skillfully piloting his Ryan Aeronautical ST3KR away from houses when its engine failed soon after take-off.

Witnesses on the scene of the crash said he had multiple cuts to his head and local media reported he had broken bones in his pelvis and ankle.

The National Transportation Safety Board revealed in a preliminary report that the crash was caused by “substantial damage following a loss of engine power.”

In audio captured by Air traffic control, Harrison Ford announced his emergency in a cool, professional manner.

“Engine failure, requesting immediate return,” said Harrison Ford moments before the crash.

  • Andreas Lubitz Reportedly Suffered From ‘Vision Problems’ That May Have Ended His Pilot Career

Andreas Lubitz, the co-pilot who crashed Germanwings Flight 4U9525 into the side of a mountain on Tuesday, killing himself and 149 passengers and crew, is reported to have been suffering from vision problems that may have threatened his career.

According to The New York Times, Lubitz, 27, was diagnosed with “vision problems,” which may have exacerbated an already existing psychiatric condition.

Investigators are exploring the theory that the severe stress and fear of losing his job as a result of the condition may have driven him to crash the Airbus A320 into the side of a mountain in the French Alps.

Andreas Lubitz was alone in the cockpit of the aircraft after manually locking the door of the cabin on a flight from Barcelona to Düsseldorf. According to recordings from the cockpit, Lubitz ignored demands from the captain to be let back in when the plane crashed.

A hospital in Dusseldorf confirmed Friday that Lubitz visited in February for an evaluation and again on March 10 for further treatment, but has declined to specify the condition for which he sought treatment, citing patient confidentiality. However, the hospital specifically noted that he was not being treated for depression, which adds weight to the theory that his visit to the hospital was indeed for vision problems that may have been an instigating factor in his decision to lock the cabin door and deliberately crash the plane.

According to friends and acquaintances, Andrea Lubitz, who began flying gliders at the age of 14, dreamed of becoming a pilot and being grounded would have been a major loss in his life.

Investigators found evidence in Andreas Lubitz’ apartment on Thursday that he was given a medical leave, including the day of the crash, which the airline said was kept from them. Lubitz reportedly tore up the note and threw it in the trash bin, where it was found by investigators.

A source “with knowledge of the investigation” told The New York Times that “the authorities had not ruled out the possibility that the vision problem could have been psychosomatic.”

A leading theory is that depression also played a factor in Andreas Lubitz’ actions and was strengthened with the discovery of antidepressants in his apartment.

As pieces of the puzzle of what happened on the fated flight begin to come together, questions linger for the aviation industry and the families of those lost in the flight, including the question of whether Andreas Lubitz’ act was desperate and impulsive, or whether it was deliberately planned.

  • Zayn Malik Breaks Silence On Why He Left One Direction

Zayn Malik, who broke the hearts of a slew of One Direction fans when he announced Wednesday that he would be leaving the British boy band, finally broke his silence over his decision to leave.

Rumors circulated that he quit after refusing to give up the partying; however, Zayn Malik said he left One Direction simply to pursue a solo career.

Zayn Malik told The Sun he already has a solo release planned, produced by Naughty Boy, who has worked with Rihanna and Jennifer Hudson.

Zayn Malik said the reaction to his departure has been “crazy and wild and a bit mad,” but says he wouldn’t change a thing.

“I’ve never felt more in control in my life,” said Zayn Malik. “And I feel like I’m doing what’s right – right by myself and right by the boys, so I feel good.”

Zayn Malik denied there was any lingering bitterness from his former One Direction buddies, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Moran.

“My band has been really supportive,” he said. “They’ve been cool about it. And they understand that, you know, [One Direction is] not real to me anymore.

Most importantly, Zayn Malik said he was much happier now because he is pursuing his own dreams and not those of others.

“I did try to do something that I wasn’t happy doing for a while, for the sake of other people’s happiness,” he said, noting that his only regret is the pain it has caused his One Direction fans.

“I feel like I’ve let the fans down but I can’t do this anymore,” Zayn Malik admitted. “It’s not that I’ve turned my back on them or anything, it’s just that I just can’t do that anymore because it’s not the real me.”

  • Kandi Burruss of ‘Real Housewives’ Set to Star in ‘Meet the Tuckers’ With Hubby Todd Tucker

Kandi Burruss of The Real Housewives of Atlanta and husband Todd Tucker have reportedly signed a deal for a new Bravo spin-off called Meet the Tuckers.

The reports seem to be confirmed after Kandi Burruss posted a selfie on her Instagram account, with the reality star sitting in hair and makeup with the caption, “Interview day for another show!” However, that post has since been deleted.

Bravo has not confirmed rumors of the new series.

The spin-off will follow the Tuckers through their daily life as they deal with the pressures of building their own production company and handle some much-publicized family drama that seems to follow the couple wherever they go, which should please some fans.

A perfect example of the drama fans can expect from the new series is a recent incident that happened on Real Housewives when a frustrated Kandi Burruss broke down as she faced her marital fears. In one episode, Kandi Burruss and Tucker are seen in a marriage counseling session, in which the couple share with the world their intimacy issues, due, which led Burruss to question her husband’s faithfulness.

“The sex life done went downhill. I don’t know what happened. For a second, I was like ‘Are you cheating out there in LA? Like what is going on?” Burruss told the counselor.

According to Todd Tucker, the issues stem from a prenup that turned out to be a big turnoff for Tucker.

“I think there was a lot of change with the prenup,” he told their counselor. “It was just how it was dealt with. It was real dry. It was like she had no feelings. It wasn’t like, ‘I want to marry you, let’s talk this out, let’s figure it out.’”

  • Robin Williams’ Wife, Children Embroiled in Fight Over Actor’s Estate

Robin Williams’ wife and children are fighting over the late comedian’s estate and it looks to get ugly.

Attorneys for Susan Williams and Robin Williams’ kids — Zachary, Zelda and Cody — are scheduled to appear before a San Francisco probate judge on Monday.

The parties are arguing over Williams’ clothes and other personal items that were kept at one of the beloved actor’s Northern California homes.

Williams’ wife, Susan, filed documents in December claiming some of Williams’ personal items were taken without her permission.

Susan Williams is asking the court to discount Robin Williams’ directive to give jewelry, memorabilia and other items to his children.

Robin Williams’ children said in response that Susan Williams is “adding insult to a terrible injury” by trying to change the trust agreement and rob them of the late actor’s belongings.

Susan Williams’ attorney said she was only seeking guidance from the court for clarification on some of the terms of the trust. She apparently believes that since he stipulated that she should remain in the Tiburon home, it makes sense that he also intended her to have the memorabilia in that home.

Robin Williams took his own life at his home in Tiburon north of San Francisco in August. It was reported that the actor was struggling with depression after a recent diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease.

  • Rachel Bilson and O.C. Co-Star Autumn Reeser Reunite on ‘Hart of Dixie’ Season (and Series) Finale

Rachel Bilson and Autumn Reeser, who once starred together on The O.C., were reunited on Hart of Dixie‘s fourth season finale on Friday, Mar. 27.

Autumn Reeser guest-starred as Olivia Green, the new lawyer in town that takes over for George Tucker, played by Scott Porter. Reeser’s character has a connection with Dr. Zoe Hart (Bilson) because they both come from the big city and struggle to adjust to the quieter life of small-town Alabama.

In September, Reeser posted a sweet WhoSay photo of the costars reuniting.

“Love this girl, such a pleasure to work w/ her again!!” she captioned. “A mini #OC reunion on the finale ep of @CWHartofDixie.”

Rachel Bilson played Summer Roberts and Autumn Reeser played Taylor Townsend on the Josh Schwartz-created drama The O.C., which ran for four seasons from 2003-2007 and also starred Adam Brody, Peter Gallagher, Kelly Rowan, Mischa Barton, Melinda Clarke, Tate Donovan, and Chris Carmack.

Unfortunately, it was a bittersweet reunion and it turns out it was not only the season finale, it was also the series finale as the decision to cancel the series came on March 15.

Series co-star Scott Porter alerted fans to the sad news of the cancellation last week

“Folks wondering why #HartOfDixie got canned? Simple numbers game folks. Ratings still matter and dictate wins and losses. You have to WATCH,” he wrote.

  • Elizabeth Banks Dishes on Sons and Tries to Hook Them Up With Jimmy Fallon’s Daughters

Elizabeth Banks paid a visit to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Friday and couldn’t stop gushing about her sons, Felix, four, and tow-year-old Magnus Mitchell. But who can blame her?

Elizabeth Banks, 41, said that when she’s not out promoting Pitch Perfect 2 or the upcoming Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2, she is spending every waking moment with her boys.

“They are really great friends,” said Banks, who is partnering with American Greetings’s ThankList campaign. “I’m really close with my siblings, and my husband [Max Handelman] and I wanted to have our children close together for that reason.”

She continues, “The fact that they’re so loving toward each other and such good little friends is what makes my life.”

Elizabeth Banks also remarked that the experience of motherhood has changed her views about her own mom.

“I think we take for granted a lot of gratitude in our lives like, ‘Oh, my mother knows that I thank her.’ I guarantee your mother cannot hear it enough. No mom can hear ‘Thank you’ enough. I am a mom, and no mom can hear it enough,” she said.

Sounds like Elizabeth Banks would like to pre-arrange her boys’ marriages already — to Jimmy Fallon’s daughters, Winnie, 18 months, and three-month-old Frances.

“So I’m hoping someday they’re going to get married to your girls,” she told Jimmy Fallon. “We’ll be one big happy family. It’ll be great. I promise they’re like really nice guys.”

  • Kris Jenner Replaces Bruce Jenner on Living Will, Causing Him to Tear Up

Kris Jenner replaced her former husband, Bruce Jenner, as the executor of her living will, an act that seems to be a hard thing for the man who was married to her for more than 20 years to accept.

In a teaser clip for Sunday’s episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the whole sad scene plays out when Kris Jenner tells Bruce that Kourtney Kardashian is now in charge of her living will.

People magazine obtained the one-minute clip that begins with Kris Jenner, 59, signing papers before she goes under sedation for a medical procedure.

The nurse asks Kris about “advance directives for health care.”

“Actually, I just changed it,” Kris Jenner tells the nurse. “It’s Kourtney Kardashian, if anything was to happen.”

Kris Jenner explains that Bruce Jenner has been the executor on her living will for more than 20 years, the length of the couple’s marriage.

“But when Bruce and I got divorced, I decided that Kourtney was going to be the executor of my will,” she says.

Bruce Jenner doesn’t seem too thrilled with Kris Jenner’s decision and reminds her that he’s the one there with her in the hospital.

“She’s not here,” he says of Kourtney Kardashian.

“I don’t think you should be the one that would decide,” Kris responds.

The significance of the moment leads Bruce to take off his glasses and wipe a tear from his eye.

  • Jennifer Westfeldt Is Jon Hamm’s Rock

Jennifer Westfeldt has been Jon Hamm’s greatest supporter after completing a stint in rehab for alcohol addiction.

As the longtime girlfriend of the Mad Men star, Jennifer Westfeldt knows better than anyone the struggles that have plagued Jon Hamm through the years.

According to a source for People magazine, Jennifer Westfeldt, 45, has also helped “keep him in line.”

“He needs [Jennifer],” said the source. “He has to have that in his life.”

The source of many of Jon Hamm’s struggles stem from the loss of his parents, who divorced when he was a toddler.

His mother died when he was only 10 and his father when he was 20.

“He lost his mother at a really young age and grew up without that type of figure in his life,” said the source.

In 2010, Jon Hamm opened up about the loss of his father.

“I was … unmoored by that,” he told The Observer about his father’s death. Left “in bad shape,” Hamm turned to therapy and antidepressants to beat the illness.

“It gives you another perspective when you are so lost in your own spiral,” he said. “It helps.”

Jennifer Westfeldt claims the dark character Jon Hamm plays on Mad Men, Don Draper, has affected real life.

“It’s a confusing juxtaposition,” Jennifer Westfeldt told GQ in the magazine’s latest cover story, which features Hamm. “I think the darkness of Don has weighed heavily on Jon, despite it being the role of a lifetime and the opportunity that gave him the career of his dreams.”

Mad Men‘s seventh season concludes April 5 on AMC.

  • Kate Beckinsale Defends Journalists, Saying Without Them ‘People Would Be Living In a Police State’

Kate Beckinsale says journalists are necessary in society and says people would be living in a “police state” without the accountability journalism instigates.

The 41-year-old actress told The Guardian that she has found a newfound respect for the media by playing journalist Simone Ford in new psychological thriller The Face of an Angel, which is inspired by the real life story of Amanda Knox, who was accused of the murder of Meredith Kercher in 2007 and acquitted of the crime on Friday.

“It was weird for me to be playing the journalist but I realised quickly how important it was for my character that people were giving her information. It isn’t just salacious, it isn’t just what she wore in court. And if we don’t have journalists we live in a police state,” she said.

    Kate Beckinsale
says she has found that actors and journalists are similar in their ability to observe situations and disengage emotionally in order to present details of a story objectively.

“I think it’s also true that journalists and actors share some qualities. Say you’re having a terrible argument with your boyfriend and you’re breaking up. For an actor there’s this still slight distance where you’re observing the event, thinking, ‘This is what it looks and feels like to be breaking up with someone,’” she noted.

“I think that journalists have that same ability to step back and see things from a different perspective. That doesn’t necessarily make the journalist an a**ehole, any more than it does the actor,” she added.

Also starring alongside Kate Beckinsale in the film directed by Michael Winterbottom are Daniel Brühl, Cara Delevingne and Genevieve Gaunt.

  • Emily Deschanel, Stephen Nathan Dish on ‘Bones’ Finale and Changes in Store For Booth and Brennan

Emily Deschanel and Bones executive producer Stephen Nathan opened up about upcoming changes for Booth and Brennan.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Emily Deschanel and Stephen Nathan said a new bundle of joy in the household brings with him or her a world of changes for the on-screen couple.

“Brennan kind of is in denial about how pregnant she is, and it brings up a lot of emotions this time around,” said Emily Deschanel. “You know, their house got blown up last season … They are putting their lives in danger every day, and they already have one child, and [their jobs] put that child in danger. Now to have another child, they really are aware of what they’re doing. I think for Brennan, she’s aware that she’s bringing this person into this world that’s very dangerous. And she starts questioning that, and it’s an emotional thing for her—and for Booth, but especially for Brennan.”

Stephen Nathan said one of the more difficult and dark storylines to come will surround Booth and some demons he must face.

“Booth is going to be confronted with demons from his past which he thought he had exorcised and now has been forced to confront yet again, and it’s something that is going to put an unbelievable strain and jeopardy on his marriage,” said Nathan. “We’re really shaking it up pretty dramatically in the second half of this season.”

Part of Booth’s problems, who is played by David Boreanaz, will stem from his addiction to gambling.

“Everyone is going to be touched by what happens with Booth dealing with his gambling addiction and the new family member in his and Brennan’s life,” said Nathan.

Emily Deschanel and Stepney Nathan promise that fans will not be disappointed in the rest of the season and says they can expect a dramatic season finale.

“The finale’s gonna be a big game-changer for all of the characters,” said Nathan. “What we’re placed in the position of doing, since we didn’t get an official pickup for season 11—we fully expect that there will be a season 11. We could be deluded, but we hope there will be. But we couldn’t do the cliffhanger that we had planned. Because of this loyal and wonderful audience that we’ve had for 10 years, we couldn’t just end with a cliffhanger that wasn’t resolved. We had to resolve the series in some way, so we tried to resolve the series and keep it alive at the same time.”

  • Shailene Woodley Thinks Bugs Are Tasty and Will Be the Next Big Food Trend

Shailene Woodley has a rather odd idea of what constitutes a yummy meal. At least some might think so.

In Nylon‘s April 2015 cover article, Shailene Woodley revealed that she has quite the appetite for bugs and actually thinks it will be the next big food trend.

Yea, not so sure about that.

Shailene Woodley, 23, has a few other food preferences that might raise some eyebrows, including clay and bone broth, but the bug bonanza might be the strangest.

In a behind-the-scenes video, Shailene Woodley shared her favorite bugs.

“I’ve eaten ants and that was great,” said the Insurgent actress. “And June bugs, that was great. I think the future of food is in insects, so we’ll see what happens.”

She certainly seems to have some affinity with insects because she said she would give just about anything to have the ability to fly.

“If I could,” Woodley mused, “I would grow a pair of wings and fly.”

It her credit, Shailene Woodley is very conscientious about the planet and we could all take some tips from her.

“Everyone could and should do a lot for the planet,” Woodley explained. “I think you should find one small thing that works for you and dedicate and commit to that one thing every single day.”

The Fault in Our Stars actress shared some simple things people could do that, when added up, have a huge impact.

“When you leave the house just unplug your toaster, coffee machine, your TV, which doesn’t need to be on all day.”

She added: “Don’t ask for a straw in a restaurant. Make it a goal not to drink out of plastic as much as possible. Turn the shower off when you’re washing your body and don’t waste the water. There are a lot of small things out there, you just find the one that works for you.”

And although Shailene Woodley works for the planet and women, she does not like to be called actress, environmentalist or feminist.

“The reason why I don’t like to say that I am a feminist or I am not a feminist is because to me it’s still a label,” she explained. “I do not want to be defined by one thing. Why do we have to have that label to divide us? We should all be able to embrace one another regardless of our belief system and regardless of the labels that we have put upon ourselves.”

  • Kelly Ripa and Regis Philbin Estranged Since 2011— Why?

Kelly Ripa has not seen or spoken to her former Live! With Regis and Kelly co-star Regis Philbin since the show ended in 2011.

This seems to be surprising news considering Kelly Ripa and Regis Philbin, 83, spent every weekday together for a decade as the co-hosts of the morning show.

In an interview with Today‘s Hoda Kotb for her Sirius XM show, Philbin said he hasn’t seen his former co-star and his relationship with Kelly Ripa, 44, changed with the end of the show.

“I haven’t seen her,” he said of Kelly Ripa. “I don’t see her.”

Seemingly surprised, Hoda Kotb asked if he really not seen her at all since November 2011 when the show ended.

“No, I haven’t,” he said, adding that it’s just fine by him.

“I was over there yesterday as a matter of fact to do something for them,” Regis Philbin said of ABC’s studios in New York City.

Despite the estrangement, the veteran TV fixture had good things to say about his time with Kelly Ripa, who now cohosts Live! With Kelly and Michael with Michael Strahan.

Philbin also spoke of his other Live! co-host and good friend, Kathie Lee Gifford.

“She lives in Greenwich and I’m a weekend guy there, so I do see a lot of her,” he said of Gifford, 61.

Regis Philbin and Kathie Lee Gifford co-hosted Live! for 12 years before her departure in 2000.

  • Jennifer Westfeldt is Vital to Jon Hamm’s New Life of Sobriety

Jennifer Westfeldt has been Jon Hamm’s girlfriend for a longtime and as the Mad Men star begins a new life of sobriety after completing a stint in rehab for alcohol addiction, no one supports him more.

According to a source for People magazine, Jennifer Westfeldt, 45, has also helped “keep him in line.”

“He needs [Jennifer],” said the source. “He has to have that in his life.”

Jennifer Westfeldt is even more of a rock for Jon Hamm, 44, since the death of his parents, who divorced when he was a toddler, at an early age has been difficult for the actor.

His mother died when he was only 10 and his father when he was 20. These early losses created a “complicated” man.

  • Mariel Hemingway Claims Woody Allen Made Romantic Overtures to Her When She Was a Teen

Mariel Hemingway is claiming that director Woody Allen made overtures to her when she was 18, inviting her to take a romantic getaway to Paris.

In a memoir penned by Mariel Hemingway, the actress said the inappropriate attention came just after she played Woody Allen’s teenage girlfriend in the 1979 movie Manhattan.

Mariel Hemingway explained in her upcoming memoir, Out Came the Sun that following the completion of the shoot, Woody Allen, who was in his mid-40s at the time, flew out to her parents’ home in Idaho and invited her to take a trip with him to Pars, which the actress claims made her very nervous.

“Our relationship was platonic, but I started to see that he had a kind of crush on me, though I dismissed it as the kind of thing that seemed to happen any time middle-aged men got around young women,” writes Mariel Hemingway.

She warned her parents “that I didn’t know what the arrangement was going to be, that I wasn’t sure if I was even going to have my own room. Woody hadn’t said that. He hadn’t even hinted it. But I wanted them to put their foot down. They didn’t. They kept lightly encouraging me.”

Hemingway says she woke up in the middle of the night “with the certain knowledge that I was an idiot. No one was going to get their own room. His plan, such as it was, involved being with me.”

Mariel Hemingway said she confronted Woody Allen in the guest room of her parents’ home.

“I’m not going to get my own room, am I?” As Allen fumbled for his glasses, Hemingway informed him: “I can’t go to Paris with you.”

According to Hemingway, he called for his private jet the next morning and left Idaho.

Woody Allen has long been accused of inappropriate behavior with young women. The director has always denied allegations by his ex-girlfriend Mia Farrow that he sexually assaulted his adopted daughter, Dylan, when she was 7, and no charges were ever brought.

Woody Allen began dating Soon-Yi Previn, Farrow’s other adopted daughter, when she was a young woman, and they are now married.

Despite the strange encounter with Woody Allen in the 1970s, Mariel Hemingway was on hand to help honor Allen last year for a lifetime achievement award at the Golden Globes, which Allen eventually boycotted.

  • Chelsea Handler Opens Up About ‘Weird’ Encounter With Bill Cosby, ‘He Tried to Cosby Me’

Chelsea Handler says she had her own “weird” encounter with Bill Cosby and believes the comedian, who is accused by dozens of women of sexual assault, “is guilty” of all the allegations.

“He tried to Cosby me,” Chelsea Handler told Esquire Magazine.

“I was in Atlantic City playing, doing stand-up, and he was doing stand-up in Atlantic City in the same hotel, and at like three o’clock in the afternoon, someone from the hotel came down and said, ‘Oh, you know, Mr. Cosby would really like to meet you up in his hotel suite,’” Chelsea Handler said. “And I thought, ‘That’s really weird.’ This was like 10 years ago. And I said, ‘That’s really weird. I don’t want to go alone. I go, I don’t know him.’

“So the three guys I was with—thank God these guys were with me. One was filming and one was like a producer; we were filming something—I brought them up with me to his room and thank God I did, because now I know what would’ve happened if I went up there alone,” she continued.

Chelsea Handler said she completely forgot about the experience until recently, after more than 30 women brought allegations of sexual offenses against Bill Cosby.

“I forgot about it when all the stories about Bill Cosby came out. I was like, I didn’t even think of it,” she said. “Then my friend texted me the other day saying, ‘Do you remember that night we went up to, or that afternoon we went up to Bill Cosby’s and you were so freaked out you made us come with you? And I said, ‘Yeah,’ and he said, ‘Hello! You could’ve been one of his victims if we weren’t there. And I went, ‘Oh my gosh …’

“Yeah, so yeah, he’s guilty,” Chelsea Handler said. “Yeah, I think it’s pretty obvious now.”

Bill Cosby continues to deny the allegations and has not been charged with any crime.
