    Penelope Cruz is mourning the death of her father, Eduardo Cruz, who passed away early Thursday at the age of 62.

    Hello! magazine’s sister publication, Hola!, broke the news after an uncle of Penelope Cruz confirmed Eduardo’s death.

    The cause of death has not been confirmed, but Hola! reports that he suffered a heart attack and had a history of heart problems.

    According to the media outlet, Eduardo Cruz was in La Manga, Spain, where he lived with wife Carmen Moreno and their 3-year-old daughter, Salmaat, at the time of his death. The couple reportedly manage a beauty salon together in the picturesque, seaside town.

    Penelope Cruz, 41, is the eldest of three siblings born to Eduardo from his relationship with Encarna Sanchez. The couple also had a son, singer Eduardo Cruz, and a younger daughter, actress Monica Cruz.

    This likely comes as a shock to Penelope Cruz, who is said to have been very close with her late father, even bringing him to premieres when she was first starting out.

    Penelope Cruz shared a glimpse of her childhood in in Spain in an interview with Allure in 2013.

    “There was always music, and everybody was dancing, sometimes naked around the house,” she said. “Not hippie, but very free.”

    Penelope Cruz is mother to two children with husband, actor Javier Bardem.

  • Jessica Castro of ‘Married at First Sight’ Fears For Her Life After Threats Made By Estranged Husband

    Jessica Castro of Married at First Sight is said to fear for her life after threats were made by her estranged husband.

    Castro filed a restraining order against Ryan De Niro after he allegedly threatened to kill her and her family, according to Castro’s lawyer Marc Rapaport.

    Rapaport told Us Weekly that she’s “very scared.”

    “[Jessica] was very scared — she is very scared. This was scary stuff,” said Rapaport.

    According to the lawyer, Jessica Castro alleges that Ryan De Nino, 29 — whom she married after the experimental A&E show paired her with him without ever meeting — made death threats to her in May. Those threats were reportedly captured on a live microphone on the set of the A&E show.

    “The petition alleges that there were two very serious threats by the respondent against my client and one of which made specific reference to her family members,” said Rapaport.

    According to the New York Post, De Nino told his wife: “I will break you into f—ing pieces, I will break your dad into pieces. I will make your whole family disappear – and your f—ing dog-ass sister’s boyfriend.”

    Court documents reveal that Castro claims her husband cheated on her on Valentine’s Day.

    “A week prior to [Valentine’s Day] we had a blow-up because he told me that he was going to be busy. So I didn’t see him. Not a card, not a nothing,” Jessica Castro revealed during Tuesday night’s episode. “A few weeks later, I find a Valentine’s Day card from another female at his apartment.”

    “Ryan was trying to make it work with someone else,” she added. “That’s why it didn’t work.”

    De Nino is set to appear in court July 13.

    Charlize Theron and son Jackson, three, remained at their Hollywood home and Penn moved back in to his Malibu mansion, which he had put up for sale but recently pulled off the market.

    The couple were last seen together on the Cannes red carpet in May.

    The news comes as a surprise to many.

    Just last month Theron gushed about Penn to British Elle, calling Penn the “love of my life.”

    “Putting aside that he’s my partner, he’s the love of my life; for the first time, I felt that my work was really bleeding into my life, and that made it hard,” Charlize Theron told the magazine.

    While in France, Charlize Theron, 39, and Sean Penn, 54, enjoyed some down time with Jackson on the French Riviera when Charlize was not promoting her film Mad Max.

    On Tuesday, Sean Penn was spotted solo in Brentwood purchasing magazines and cigarettes from a local newsstand.

    According to Us Weekly, Theron initiated the breakup. Reps for the stars have not commented on the split.

  • Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson Set to Star in ‘Pitch Perfect 3’

    Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson will return to reprise their roles in the Pitch Perfect movie franchise, Universal Pictures confirms.

    The studio said Monday that Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson will star in Pitch Perfect 3, set for release in July 2017. Elizabeth Banks and her husband, Max Handelman, will return as producers.

    It is unclear whether Banks will once again take the helm as director as she did for Pitch Perfect 2, which has taken in more than $171 million domestically since it opened last month.

    The original film, released in 2012, was a surprise hit that went on to earn more than $115 million worldwide.

    The franchise follows the comical and crazy adventures of a competitive a capella singing group.

    Both Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson took to social media Monday to celebrate the news. Anna posted a selfie with the caption “Happening #3,” while Rebel shared the good news via Twitter.

    Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, was planning on breaking up with fiancé Nick Gordon on the day she was found face-down in the bathtub of her Roswell, Georgia residence.

    Ian Halperin, the author of Whitney & Bobbi Kristina: The Deadly Price of Fame, told TheWrap on Friday that he has conclusive proof that Bobbi Kristina did, indeed, plan on ending it with Gordon.

    “I have 1,000-percent proof” that Brown planned to break off her engagement with Gordon and kick him out of the house, Ian Halperin said of Whitney Houston’s daughter.

    Halperin said the Bobbi Kristina struggled in the months leading up to the January incident with her relationship with Gordon having an incredibly negative impact on her life.

    According to Halperin, Gordon’s jealousy got the better of him, leading to accuse Bobbi Kristina of having an affair with a drug dealer. He further claims Gordon “did a lot of things that she didn’t approve of.”

    Halperin said the 22-year-old daughter of Whitney Houston began to fear for her life.

    “She was scared, and she wanted out,” Halperin said, adding that Bobbi Kristina had had enough of his “sponging” off of her financially.

    “She wanted out of the relationship,” Halperin said. “She was contemplating a move to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career.”

    Halperin stressed that he in not claiming that there was foul play involved in her mishap. Instead, he maintains that Bobbi Kristina may have been plunged in cold water to revive her from an overdose.

    “I maintain the plunge theory,” Halperin said.

    “Regardless, the fact of the matter” is that Bobbi Kristina Brown wanted Gordon gone, Halperin said.

    Winona Ryder to Star in New Supernatural Netflix Drama Series Set in 1980s

    Winona Ryder will star in a new supernatural drama series for Netflix set in the 1980s.

    This will be a first for Winona Ryder, best known for her turns in Reality Bites and Girl, Interrupted, who has yet to star as a regular in a TV series.

    In the Montauk-set drama, Winona Ryder will play a working-class single mom whose two-year-old son mysteriously disappears.

    Winona Ryder will play Joyce, the mother of the missing 2-year-old. According to TV.com, in the quest to rescue her son, she will summon a strength she never knew she had, which presumably is the supernatural component of the show.

    The as of yet untitled series hails from brothers Matt and Ross Duffer, who most recently worked as writers/producers on the Fox series, Wayward Pines.

    According to Time, the plot will feature supernatural overtones as family, friends and cops try to uncover the truth about the what happened to the boy.

    David Harbour has also been cast as the beach town’s police chief investigating the case. The eight-episode show will premiere next year.

    Emily Kachote has been stripped of her title as Miss Zimbabwe after admitting that nude photos that surfaced last month are real.

    Nude photos of Emily Kachote leaked online last month and the Miss Zimbabwe Trust felt it was necessary to dethrone the beauty for her “immoral behavior,” local reports confirm.

    There must be something about Zimbabwe beauty queens because this is the second year in a row a Miss Zimbabwe has been stripped of her title. Last year’s winner, Thabiso Phiri, also lost her title after nude photos of her surfaced.

    The Miss Zimbabwe Trust said Wednesday that Emily Kachote, 25, had violated an agreement that asks contestants to swear they have never posed naked. They are also required to swear they will never pose nude in the future should they win.

    “The Miss Zimbabe executive board would like to inform the nation that it has decided to dethrone Miss Emily Kachote as Miss World Zimbabwe 2015. Being in a relationship, sexual advances to anyone and any behavior categorized as immoral by the Miss Zimbabwe Trust is grounds for instant disqualification and dethronement,” the statement reads.

    Emily Kachote is not only beautiful, she’s smart, working as a financial adviser.

    This week, Emily Kachote confessed that the pictures taken and shared by an ex were real.

    The Beverly Hills police have confirmed that John Stamos was stopped around 7:45 p.m. local time at Beverly Drive and South Santa Monica Boulevard after mutliple residents reported an erratic driver in the area.

    The 51-year-old actor was the sole occupant of the vehicle when police pulled him over. He identified himself as John Stamos and was taken to a local hospital after the police officers wondered whether he was suffering from an undisclosed medical condition.

    Instead, the hospital confirmed that John Stamos was intoxicated. He was arrested and given a citation for DUI and was released into the care of the hospital for further treatment.

    A court date is set for Sept. 11.

    John Stamos is best known — and beloved — for his role as Uncle Jesse on Full House, a part he’ll reprise in the much-anticipated Netflix series, Fuller House.

    John Stamos took to Twitter Saturday to thank fans for their love and support.

    Stamos is also set to play the lead on the Fox comedy Grandfathered, set to debut this fall.

    Brandi Glanville of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills opened up to William Shatner this week, telling the former Star Trek star that she endured a prolonged grieving process after her ex-husband Eddie Cibrian cheated on her with multiple women, including his current spouse, LeAnn Rimes.

    The reality star, 42, appeared on Ora TV’s Brown Bag Wine Tasting with Shatner and answered some rather intimate questions concerning her marriage to Cibrian.

    “He had extra girlfriends, I guess you can say,” Brandi Glanville said of Cibrian’s affairs. “He had some ladies on the side.”

    Brandi Glanville told Shatner she tried to forgive Cibrian and save their marriage despite his indiscretions, but decided enough was enough.

    “I tried,” said Brandi Glanville, “but when I found out there was more than a couple, I decided I was better off on my own.”

    The couple divorced in 2010 after nine years of marriage.

    “It’s almost like a death,” Brandi Glanville told Shatner. “You mourn, you die a little bit. Who you were as a wife and a mother, you’re no longer that person.”

    The ensuing months were difficult, conceded Brandi Glanville.

    “It took me about a year to figure out that it had nothing to do with me,” she said of Cibrian’s affairs. “But it took a while… I was wondering how I could be any better than I was. Was I not tall enough? Skinny enough? Are my boobs not big enough? Should I have blue eyes? It was all of that.”

    Ultimately, Brandi Glanville overcame the pain and says his has made her stronger.

    “It made me a better person to go through that,” Glanville reflected. “And to figure out that it had nothing to do with me.”

  • Melissa Gilbert Owes IRS $360,000, Which She Blames On Career, Recession and Divorce

    Melissa Gilbert is in trouble with the IRS.

    According to CBS News, the Internal Revenue Service says former Little House on the Prairie star Melissa Gilbert failed to pay more than $360,000 in federal income taxes from 2011-2013.

    The Detroit News reports the IRS filed a tax lien against the actress in February because of her failure to pay taxes.

    Melissa Gilbert, 51, blames the 2011-2013 tax debt on the lack of acting opportunities, the economy and her divorce.

    “Like so many people across the nation, the recession hit me hard,” Gilbert said. “That, plus a divorce and a dearth of acting opportunities the last few years, created a perfect storm of financial difficulty for me.”

    Recently, Melissa Gilbert announced that she and her family are moving out of their rented home in Howell, Illinois, although husband Timothy Busfield said the move has nothing to do with the debt.

    “(The debt) has more to do with the housing crash and divorce in the past,” Busfield said. “It’s a product of what happened with the economy. It’s unfortunate and it’s been happening a lot. It’s not a big deal.”

    Melissa Gilbert, who played Laura Ingalls on Little House on the Prairie from 1974-1983 said she has negotiated a payment plan with the IRS.

    “I’ve set up an installment plan to fully pay off my debt and will continue to work as hard as I can to erase this debt and dig myself out of this hole,” said Melissa Gilbert. “I am absolutely positive that I can do it.”

    Most recently, Melissa Gilbert starred alongside Juliette Lewis and Ryan Phillippe in the ABC series Secrets and Lies.

    The new couple are reportedly taking things slowly. Having met through mutual friends, Ryan Seacrest and his lady love have enjoyed each other’s company on a few dinner dates, and Cruz stopped by American Idol toward the end of last season.

    Bullying is not a new thing for Rumer Willis, however, one would think her big win on DWTS would have curtailed the attacks. Not so much, according to Willis.

    “Just because I was celebrated on Dancing With the Stars doesn’t mean the bullying has stopped,” she told Glamour for the magazine’s July issue. “After the show started, I had to block almost 10 people every day on social media because they wouldn’t leave me alone.”

    Rumer took the high road, however, and gained self-confidence from her experience on the show, which helped her glean an new perspective on internet bullies.

    “When it happens now, I remind myself that focusing on people’s negative opinions will only make me feel like crap,” said Rumer Willis. “If I start to get discouraged, I take a step back and go, ‘All right, I don’t feel great today, but what can I do to shift how I’m thinking?’ It’s difficult, but the moment you stop saying, ‘I’m really fat,’ or ‘I’m ugly,’ and just say, ‘Wow, I have this,’ then you’ll see a change.”

    Rumer Willis said it has always been a challenge to grow up as the daughter of mom Demi Moore and dad Bruce Willis and was constantly called out because of her looks.

    “When you grow up in the public eye the way that I did, everyone’s looking at you and waiting for you to do something crazy or say something wrong or have a meltdown.     As for Josh Duggar, his change of residence comes in the wake of the molestation scandal that has left the entire Duggar family in turmoil. TLC still has not determined the fate of 19 Kids and Counting following the revelation that Josh Duggar molested young girls, including two of his little sisters, when he was a teenager.

    Josh Duggar is apparently planning to move closer to the family’s homestead in Tontitown, Arkansas.

    Patriarch and matriarch Jim Bob and Michelle gave a talked-about interview to Fox News’ Megyn Kelly on Wednesday, June 3. In the interview, the parents of Josh Duggar questioned how the media was able to obtain the police documents that detailed the abuses.

    The Duggars say they are trying to put the past in its place and move forward following the media blitz and lamented that the whole family may be punished as a result of one child’s decisions.

    “At this point our family is just trying to regroup from these attacks,” Jim Bob said when asked whether TLC will cancel the reality show. “I don’t know if the rest of our family should be punished for the act of one of our children — something that happened 12 years ago — or not, but you know, we are fine whether they film us or not.     Stuart Lynn Dunn, the man sentenced to a mental health facility in January 2012 for stalking Mila Kunis, was recaptured Wednesday in Santa Monica, four days after he escaped from the institution, according to sheriff’s officials.

    Dunn, who was sentenced to six months of rehabilitations, five years of probation and ordered to stay away from Mila Kunis and her representatives for 10 year, was taken into custody in an alley about a half-mile from the beach, sheriff’s spokeswoman Nicole Nishida said.

    Mila’s stalker may have escaped through the bathroom window of the Olive Vista Behavioral Health Center. He is believed to have scaled a barbed-wire fence surrounding the facility. Officials went looking for Dunn when he didn’t return from a shower, according to Deputy Chief Reaver Bingham of the Los Angeles County Probation Department.

    “Mr. Dunn’s arrest was the result of the diligent efforts led by the Los Angeles County Probation Department’s special enforcements operation and the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department’s major crimes division,” sheriff’s officials said in a statement.

    Dunn was arrested in February 2012 for breaking into Mila Kunis‘ vacant condominium. He was taken into custody again months later after he waited for the actress outside her gym for three days, violating a restraining order.

    Miller Kunis was notified of his escape, cautioning her at the time that he should be considered dangerous.

    “We never know the state of mind of an individual,” Bingham said. “He does have a fixation on the original victim, so that’s why.”

    Nichelle Nichols, who starred in the original Star Trek series as Lieutenant Uhura, has reportedly suffered a mild stroke.

    According to Nichelle Nichols’ rep Michael Conley, the 82-year-old actress has been hospitalized and is stable.

    “Nichelle Nichols is resting comfortably and undergoing tests. We do not have a prognosis yet but everyone’s prayers and well wishes are appreciated,” he told ABC News.

    A statement was also posted to Nichelle Nichols’ Facebook page on Thursday.

    “Last night while at her home in LA, Nichelle Nichols suffered from a mild stroke. She is currently undergoing testing to determine how severe the stroke was. Please keep her in your thoughts,” it read, signed by Zach McGinnis from Galactic Productions.

    Nichelle Nichols, who has worked well into her 80s, was most recently featured in the show Heroes and feature films including The White Orchid opposite Jennifer Beals and Omaha Street with Dennis Haysbert. . She is also much admired for her groundbreaking work on the Star Trek television series, as well a feature films, including The Wrath of Khan and The Search for Spock.

    According to ABC, “her role in Star Trek was groundbreaking in the late 1960’s as one of the first black women featured in a role of authority. She also kissed show star William Shatner during one episode, which is thought to be one of the first interracial kiss on TV.”

    Some of her former co-stars have posted words words of encouragement on social media, including George Takei.

    “We understand #NichelleNichols has been rushed to the hospital. We don’t have any diagnosis on her condition but our thoughts are with her,” he tweeted.

  • Justin Bieber Pleads Guilty to Assault and Careless Driving in Canada

    Justin Bieber has pleaded guilty to assault and careless driving, but will not go to jail over a collision with paparazzi in the Canadian countryside last year.

    According to AFP, Justin Bieber was ordered Thursday to pay a Can$750 (US$600) fine for careless driving.

    Fortunately for Bieber, 21, the more serious charge of dangerous driving was withdrawn. As for the assault charge, the pop star received an absolute discharge for the assault, which means he was found guilty but no conviction will show up on his record.

    The charges came as a result of a crash that occurred in September near his hometown of Stratford, Ontario. Justin was in town with then girlfriend, Selena Gomez, visiting family.

    Police alleged that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez had been taking turns driving the ATV while the other sat on the back. When it was Bieber’s turn, he allegedly rammed his All-Terrain Vehicle into a minivan driven by a photographer and then got into a “physical altercation” with the driver.

    At the time, Justin Bieber tweeted his disgust at the intrusive presence of the paparazzi.

    “There should be laws against what I just experienced. We should have learned from the death of Princess Diana,” adding, “I don’t have a problem with Paparazzi but when they act recklessly they put us all in danger.”

    According to Justin Bieber’s lawyer, Brian Greenspan, the couple were on a quiet retreat in Stratford “that was unfortunately disrupted by the unwelcome presence of paparazzi.”
