Mamie Gummer of ‘Ricki and the Flash’ Shares What It’s Like Working With Mom Meryl Streep

Mamie Gummer, Meryl Streep’s 32-year-old daughter, shared what it’s like to work with her famous, award-winning mother in their collaboration, Ricki and the Flash.

In an interview with ET Online, Mamie Gummer said there was one downside to working with her mom.

“She had a much larger dressing room than I did,” said Gummer.

In Ricki and the Flash, Streep and Mamie play a mother and daughter working through some issues. Streep plays rocker Ricki, who goes home to her family after leaving them in hopes of being a rockstar. When she returns, Ricki learns that daughter Julie has been dumped by her husband. Add some resentment over her mother’s abandonment and it leads to a lot of stress between the two and some confrontations, which proved difficult for Mamie Gummer.

“I was nervous about it, leading up to filming it,” said Gummer. “She was fine. I think she was pleased actually. It was funny because I tear into her and when we called cut there was this big grin on her face.”

The fact that Mamie has felt some of the same emotions as her character added to the strain, although they actresses have always enjoyed a strong relationship.

“There was no point in my life that I felt abandoned,” admitted Mamie. “My mom worked really hard, and I know sacrificed on both ends, but to really maintain a pretty fair balance, and we were always the priority.”

Meryl Streep has wonderful things to say about her daughter, who starred in The Newsroom.

“She’s brave and fearless and funny and free,” Meryl Streep told People magazine. “She’s a free talent. It doesn’t have any cover up – she’s the real deal.”

Ricki and the Flash starring Mamie Gummer, Meryl Streep and Rick Springfield hits theaters on Aug. 7.

  • Kate Mara’s Dad Has Something to Say About Her New Pixie Haircut

Kate Mara’s dad is not exactly a fan of her new hair style.

The Fantastic Four actress unveiled a super-short pixie haircut earlier this summer for the press tour of the film and her favorite fan is none too pleased.

During an appearance on Live With Kelly and Michael on Tuesday, Kelly Ripa couldn’t wait to get to Mara’s new hairstyle.

Is the style more work or less than her formerly long locks? asked Ripa.

“Oh, less!” Mara replied. “I don’t have to wash it now, I don’t have to brush it. I love it.”

When Ripa asked how others have reacted to the daring new look, Kate Mara said the reactions were mostly positive, save for one.

“I got a lot of nice things,” she said, but “I got one sort of negative thing said to me. I text messaged my dad the other day saying I miss you, and his response was, I miss your hair. So, thanks Dad!”

The stylist responsible for Mara’s new look, L’Oréal Paris hairstylist Mara Roszak, told People magazine that the actress herself was the inspiration for the bold move.

“A pixie is something that is a major decision to do; the person has to be prepared, and she immediately owned it,” Roszak said of Kate Mara. “She has such beautiful bone structure and features, so I knew going pixie would be perfect on her. It’s something she’s always wanted to do and the response has been amazing.”

  • Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley Return To Host County Music Awards Show For Eighth Straight Year

Carrie Underwood and her hosting sidekick Brad Paisley will return to host the Country Music Association Awards on ABC this fall for an eighth straight year.

Scheduled for Nov. 4, the 49th annual awards show will air live from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

Paisley, who is currently touring on his Crushin’ It World Tour and has just joined Blake Shelton as a judge on The Voice, has won 14 CMA awards, making him No. 5 on the list of top CMA winners of all time.

Meanwhile, new momma Carrie Underwood has seven Grammy Awards and five CMA awards of her own.

The live show not only recognizes the top county music performances of the year, it features live performances and one-of-a-kind collaborations from many of the biggest names in country music.

Carrie Underwood and Paisley have their own unique hosting routine and surprises are always expected. Last year, Paisley “accidentally” blurted out the sex of Underwood’s baby. It was a boy, by the way.

A promo clip shows just how cute the county duo can be and why they have returned for eight straight years.

The nominees in each of the 12 categories, including Male Vocalist, Female Vocalist, Song, Single and Entertainer of the Year, will be announced on Sept. 9.

Who’s tuning in to see what shenanigans Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley get into for the 2015 CMA Awards?

“>his first interview after finalizing his divorce from Miranda Lambert, which aired on Entertainment Tonight this week.

The newly single Blake Shelton, 39, sat down beside fellow country superstar Brad Paisley, who is joining Shelton and the other judges on The Voice, with a cup in hand, reportedly filled with “a little vodka” and ice.

“I thought I’d go ahead and get it started early,” Shelton joked. “It’s been one of those weeks.”

When asked how he was doing, Shelton replied, “Well, I got divorced.”

Shelton and Lambert announced their split on July 20 in a joint statement after four years of marriage.

“This is not the future we envisioned,” the couple said in their statement. “And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately.”

It was only a matter of hours when news came that they had already finalized their divorce.

The couple continued to interact with each other on Twitter despite the split.

Lambert made fun of bizarre paparazzi pics of Shelton pushing a stroller with a drink in his hand.

“I knew it…. You WERE pregnant!” Lambert tweeted. “This calls for a drink!,” to which Shelton responded, “Ha!!!!! Busted… I wasn’t JUST a fat ass. Drinking shall now begin…”

According to Us Weekly, despite putting on a happy facade, the former couple are “heartbroken” and “devastated” by the end of their marriage.

Last week, Us reported that Blake Shelton and his former wife want to “move on as friends” and “there are no hard feelings.”

  • Ben Affleck: Is The ‘Batman’ Actor Footing The Bill For Ex-Nanny Christine Ouzounian’s Hotel Bel-Air Stay?

Ben Affleck may have some explaining to do.

According to a report by People magazine, Affleck may be footing the hotel bill of the former nanny to Affleck and Jennifer Garner.

The 28-year-old Christine Ouzounian has reportedly been staying at the Hotel Bel-Air, which is Affleck’s home away from home, and according to a source for magazine,”Ben is taking care of Christine’s expenses at the hotel.”

The former nanny has been at the hotel for several days and an eyewitness told People that Ouzounian is having a grand ‘ole time despite denials from Affleck’s rep that there was an affair.

“Christine is enjoying her hotel stay,” the eyewitness said. “She acts like she is on vacation. She has been spotted by the pool several times, the spa and Wolfgang Puck’s restaurant. She seems relaxed and happy. She hangs out with girlfriends, reads magazines and is on her phone a lot.”

People also reports that a friend of Ouzounian’s said that Ben and Christine “are in touch every day, all day long. He got them phones just for each other.”

Affleck and and wife, Jennifer Garner, split on June 30. Rumors have been rampant that the alleged affair with the nanny angered Garner to the point she couldn’t remain married to the father of her three children. An Affleck associate said the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star had only a “work relationship and a friendship” with the former nanny.

“Ben’s friendly, but it’s not always meant to be flirty,” said the source.

Ouzounian reportedly told friends that she and Ben Affleck met up frequently at the Hotel Bel-Air starting this spring.

  • Matthew McConaughey’s Beautiful Wife, Camila Alves, Is Now A U.S. Citizen

Matthew McConaughey’s wife, Camila Alves, officially became a citizen of the United States on Tuesday.

In typical loving husband fashion, Matthew offered some adorable words about his American wife’s big day.

“Congratulations Camila on getting your U.S. citizenship today,” Matthew McConaughey, 45, tweeted, alongside a snap of the couple with their kids Levi, seven, Vida, five, and Livingston, two, at the naturalization ceremony.”Another fellow and great American.”

The Brazilian native also shared her joy on social media.

“Happy to say I now hold an American passport! I have so much respect and appreciation for this country,” she wrote. “#newuscitizen.”

The 33-year-old model married Matthew McConaughey in June 2012, but it took some convincing to get her man down the aisle.

“I had to get to the point where I saw it as more than just the thing to do,” McConaughey told GQ magazine last year. “I wanted to really want to. You know, I didn’t want it to be a destination; the fun is that we’re on the adventure together. And look, some of it had to do with her putting it on me. It took her going, ‘C’mon, Big Boy, Mr. Easy-going-We’ll-Get-to-It-When-We-Get-to-It. Either s–t or get off the pot.’”

Although Camila is now a U.S. citizen, she told Us Weekly that she tries to visit her homeland at least once a year.

“My mom has 10 uncles on one side, 13 on the other side, and a ton of cousins,” the model said. “We do Christmas, that for us is really big deal. We do all the cooking, the whole family comes and we don’t open gifts until midnight on the 24th, so my kids love it. They love the Brazil Christmas because they get to stay up until midnight! And they love the family there. I bring the kids and Matthew there and we have so much fun.”

  • Briana Jungwirth: One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson Speaks Out on Baby News

Brian Jungwirth’s baby daddy, One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson, broke his silence on the impending birth of his first child.

In an appearance on Good Morning America on Wednesday, Tomlinson spoke on the news that broke several weeks ago. His comments came before the group performed on the morning news show.

It was ABC’s Michael Strahan, who got the singer to open up about fatherhood.

“Louis, from one father to another I want to congratulate you on your upcoming fatherhood. So how are you feeling?” asked Strahan.

Tomlinson looked as if that line of questioning about having a baby with stylist Briana Jungwirth came as a surprise and was cautious as he responded to Strahan’s question.

“Thank you, yeah,” Tomlinson said. “Obviously it’s a very exciting time, so I’m buzzing. Thank you.”

  • Zooey Deschanel of ‘New Girl’ Is a Mama, Welcomes a Daughter With (Surprise!) New Husband Jacob Pechenik

    Zooey Deschanel is a mother.

The New Girl actress welcomed a daughter with producer husband Jacob Pechenik.

“I am thrilled to confirm that Zooey Deschanel and her husband, Jacob Pechenik, are new parents to a beautiful healthy baby girl,” the actress’ rep said in a statement.

In a surprise turn of events, it was also revealed that Zooey Deschanel had secretly married her 4-year-old husband in a secret wedding. According to court records, the pair wed on June 21 in Texas.

Their newborn daughter is the first child for Deschanel, 35, who announced her pregnancy in January. The coupleKept their baby’s gender a secret throughout the pregnancy.

“It’s more fun,” Deschanel said. “Make it into a game!”

During her pregnancy, Deschanel told Jimmy Kimmel that she had real issues with her pregnancy diet.

“You can’t have sushi. You can’t have cheese that tastes good,” said Zooey. “You can have a little bit [of coffee], but I would have, like, four cups a day. And now I can have a half cup, which is a joke! It’s a total joke!”

While this is Zooey’s first child, she will likely have a lot of great advice from sister Emily Deschanel, who has two sons.

We’ll have to wait and see, but Deschanel has said she doesn’t plan on any post-pregnancy body photo shoots.

“Haven’t we all seen those pictures of a sexy new mom in a bikini after one month? I will not be that person,” Zooey Deschanel told Cosmopolitan magazine in May. “I’ve always gone my own course and never been someone who had the need to be super skinny. I like a healthy look. I don’t buy into that skinny-is-better mentality. I just eat healthy and work out and don’t worry about my weight too much. Actresses aren’t models, and most of them never wanted to be.”

  • Sabrina Corgatelli: Idaho Huntress Defends ‘Trophy Kill’ Photos With Bible Verses

Sabrina Corgatelli, the Idaho huntress under fire for flaunting her trophy kills, is defending her hunting ways by posting verses from the Bible to justify her actions.

Despite a social media backlash, Corgatelli defiantly continues to post images from her legal hunting trip to South Africa online.

Sabrina Corgatelli’s photos of her trophy kills include a giraffe, an impala, a wildebeest, a warthog and a kudu, which she described as the “#1 want on my list,”

In her Facebook post on the shooting of a slain giraffe, in which the animal’s neck is seen encircling her legs, she exclaims, “Day #2 I got a amazing old Giraffe. Such a amazing animal!! I couldn’t be any happier!! My emotion after getting him was a feeling I will never forget!!!”

On Saturday, she turned to the Bible apparently to defend her actions, posting two verses from Genesis, which has led to rape and death threats, as well as heated exchanges with Corgatelli’s supporters.

In an interview with Carson Daly of the Today show from South Africa, Corgatelli said she had become aware of the backlash over Minnesota dentist Walter Palmer’s killing of Cecil the lion after she posted the photo of her giraffe kill. The anger that posting provoked didn’t stop her posting others of her subsequent kills.

Corgatelli said killing the animals wasn’t just about the kill, but also about the hunt.

“When you hunt an animal, there is … everybody just thinks we’re cold-hearted killers, and it’s not that,” she said. “There is a connection with the animal and just because we hunt them doesn’t mean we don’t have a respect for them.”

Corgatelli defended her kill of the giraffe, seen by many as a harmless herbivore.

“Giraffes are very dangerous animals. They could hurt you seriously, very quickly,” she said.

Corgatelli admitted she is a little nervous about returning to the United Stats considering the hate directed her way and the fact that one angry commentator reportedly posted details of her workplace on her Facebook page, but said she has done nothing wrong, in her opinion.

“Everything I’ve done here is legally,” said Sabrina Corgatelli. “So how can you fault somebody because of their hobbies? You’re always going to have employees that you don’t agree with what they do on their spare time. But how can an employer chastise you for something you do on your personal time that’s legally done?”

  • Karlie Kloss Sets Her Sights On College Degree, Begins Classes This Fall

Karl Kloss, who turned 23 on Tuesday, is setting her sights on a college degree.

In the fall, the Victoria’s Secret Angel will begin attending classes at NYU’s Gallatin School of Individual Study.

“I didn’t want to wait until I’m 30 to continue learning and challenging myself in new ways. I am 23 and at a very busy point in my career, but I hope it’s just the beginning. I want to do it all,” Kloss told Glamour magazine.

Despite being at the top of her modeling game, Karlie Kloss says she is just like every new incoming college freshman this year — a little nervous.

“Like most kids starting college, my major is still ‘undecided,’” said Karlie. “Next year will be a big balancing act — but how exciting! I haven’t written a paper in years, so I may be calling you [referring to the interviewer, her friend Derek Blasberg] for homework help.”

While her own education is her priority, the model can’t help but be aware that she is a role model for girls and takes that role very seriously. In fact, Karlie Kloss so serious about encouraging young women that she set up the Kode With Karlie scholarship, which seeks to introduce young girls to the world of computer coding.

“I’m still wrapping my head around it; I do feel a responsibility to be an example for young women in general,” she said. “That’s what Kode With Karlie is about: supporting girls to try coding even if they’re not interested in being a programmer. If I can inspire one girl to try it, I’ll be happy.”

  • Lana Del Rey Announces New Single, Collaboration With The Weeknd

Lana Del Rey has announced that High By The Beach will be the next single off her upcoming third album Honeymoon and will be released Aug. 10.

The album art remains true to her typical pastel palette and features Del Rey standing next to a model sailboat, looking resplendent in a mint green silk lace robe over a floral print silk chemise.

The latest single comes on the heels of the release of the title track of Lana Del Rey’s album last month. Although the full-length album’s release date has not been confirmed, this follow-up to her 2014’s Ultraviolence, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart last year, is due out sometime this fall.

Del Rey made the announcement on both her personal Instagram account and her “Honeymoon” Instagram account.

Billboard magazine is also reporting that Lana Del Ray will be featured on a track called Prisoner for The Weeknd’s upcoming album, Beauty Behind the Madness. While a rep for the Weeknd called the leaked tracklist “inaccurate and incomplete,” they didn’t specifically deny the Lana duet exists.

Amazon apparently shared the 14-song track list off The Weeknd’s sophomore album. According to The Inquisitr, Ed Sheeran started the rumor that The Weeknd also collaborated with Kanye West, but their track didn’t make it on the final cut. Instead, the Can’t Feel My Face singer collaborated with Lana Del Rey.

It seems as if Lana Del Rey’s personal life has been more prevalent than her music lately since she has been linked to actor James Franco.

Perhaps this latest single will redirect focus on Lana Del Rey’s music rather than one her personal life.

  • Shonda Rhimes of ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Explains Why She Killed Off McDreamy

Shonda Rhimes of ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Explains Why She Killed Off McDreamy

Shonda Rhimes, the creator of Grey’s Anatomy, broke her silence on Tuesday about her decision to kill off Patrick Demsey’s character, Derek Shepherd, saying it was the only way to preserve Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) and Derek’s love.

“What were the options? Either Der was going to walk out on Mer and leave her high and dry, and what was that going to mean?” Rhimes said as part of a panel at the Television Critics Association summer press tour. “That would suggest the love wasn’t true, the thing we had said for 11 years was a lie.”

With the decision that Patrick Dempsey needed to leave the show, Shonda Rhimes said the most logical way for McDreamy to leave Meredith was through death.

“Meredith and Derek’s love had to remain Meredith and Derek’s love,” said Rhimes. “As painful as it was for me as a storyteller, the only way to preserve what felt true to me was Derek was going to have to die for that love to remain honest. I really couldn’t have the idea that he turned out to be a bad guy who walked out on his wife and his kids, [and have that turn] out to be a true story. To me, that was the only way to make Meredith and Derek’s magic remain true and remain frozen in time.”

Looking forward to the upcoming Season 12, Rhimes said Meredith’s future as a single mother will offer many new opportunities the character never dreamed of.

“We do have this world in which Meredith is single, and she is living this life that she hadn’t thought she was going to be living again,” said Shonda Rhimes.

Meredith finds herself living in a house with her sister “surrounded by women who are dating and having a whole life and she’s not interested in any of that. … You start to wonder if there’s a second life … or are those years behind you?”
The Season 12 theme is “rebirth,” Rhimes spilled.

Ellen Pompeo said she is excited to portray Meredith in this new chapter of her life as a widow.

“It is just a very important human story to tell. So many people lose their spouses. A lot of people feel like they can’t get up again,” said Pompeo. “If we give anybody, even one person, a little bit of comfort, that’s a story worth telling.”

Grey’s Anatomy returns to ABC on Thursday, Sept. 24, at 8 p.m. ET.

  • Misty Copeland, First African-American Principal in American Ballet Theatre’s History, Continues to Inspire

Misty Copeland, the first African-American woman to be named a principal in the 75-year history of the American Ballet Theater, continues to inspire young girls who dream of following in the ballerina’s footsteps.

On Saturday, Copeland visited the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History and Culture in Baltimore to share her story of battling racial inequality to attaining the highly-coveted position of principal, which are typically paid more and take on more prestigious roles.

Little girls wanting nothing more than to be just like their heroine lined up for hours to get a seat inside the museum and see the prima ballerina.

Copeland, 32, shared her struggles as well as her accomplishments with the crown, including her early recognition for her natural dancing ability and the heartbreak of being told her body was too big and muscular to really succeed. She also shared how her brown skin kept her from roles traditionally held by white dancers.

She began to bond with other black dancers and wasn’t shy to speak on the racial inequality in ballet, although she said she never saw herself as an activist.

“I am just speaking my truth and my experiences,” Copeland said.

According to the Baltimore Sun, Copeland says she want to use her position to reach other little girls with the same struggles by mentoring young dancers. She began a program with her dance company to improve diversity, but realized real change takes time.

“That is not something you can just see transform over night,” she said.

After speaking at the museum, Copeland signed copies of her memoir Life in Motion and her children’s book Firebird.

Copeland treated each excited girl as if she were special.

“It’s important for me to be a real person,” she said. “I am not somebody up on a pedestal. It is not about me as an individual. It is about what I represent.

Lynn Anderson, singer of the 70s classic hit (I Never Promised You a) Rose Garden, died July 30 at a hospital in Nashville at the age of 67.

According to her publicist, Lynn Anderson died of cardiac arrest.

A fixture in the 1970s country music scene, the young Lynn Anderson garnered attention as a young singer on “The Lawrence Welk Show” between 1967 and 1969. That exposure helped land her a record deal with Columbia Records in Nashville.

In a 1987 interview with the Associated Press, Anderson said Welk felt county music was coming into its own and deserved to be featured on national television.

“At that time, I was the only one singing country music on national TV every week,” said Anderson. “He’s one of my heroes and always will be.”

Although she received plenty of attention, it was the single, Rose Garden, that sealed her country music legacy, earning her a Grammy and Country Music Association’s female vocalist of the year award in 1971. It also crossed into mainstream music.

“It was popular because it touched on emotions,” Anderson told the AP. “It was perfectly timed. It was out just as we came out of the Vietnam years and a lot of people were trying to recover.

Other hits included Rocky Top, You’re My Man, How Can I Unlove You?, What a Man, My Man Is and Top of the World, which was also recorded by the Carpenters.

Born Sept. 26, 1947, in Grand Forks, North Dakota, Lynn Rene Anderson grew up in Sacramento, California. She was the daughter of country songwriters Casey and Liz Anderson began performing at the age of 6.

As a teenager, Lynn Anderson was an award-winning equestrian and was voted California Horse Show Queen in 1966.

Facing some legal battles in her later years while living in Taos, New Mexico, she was issued a restraining order in 1995 by a Taos judge after her boyfriend said she had threatened him following the end of their 12-year relationship.

  • Jennifer Garner Visits Young Cancer Patients, Focuses On Work Amid Divorce Drama

Jennifer Garner took some time to bring joy to young cancer patients amid the heartbreak of her split from Ben Affleck.

Instead of focusing on the drama, Jennifer is putting her energy into work and spreading hope and love to others.

During a break from filming Miracles in Heaven in Atlanta, Georgia, this week, Garner, 43, stopped by Scottish Rite hospital with costar Kylie Rogers to spend some time with patients in the pediatric cancer ward.

According to Us Weekly, one of the families Garner spent time with was the Shepherds, whose son, Henry Shepherd, 9, is being treated with penultimate chemotherapy for Osteosarcoma, a bone cancer.

“It was a complete surprise. One of the nurses brought her to our door and she walked right in,” Carrie Shepherd said of the visit.

Henry got a kick out of talking to Garner about her 2014 comedy, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.

“We were talking about the party at the end of the movie, and Henry said when he is cancer-free, he wants a party just like that,” Shepherd’s mom said “Henry told her that, and when she walked out she said, ‘Henry, I hope you get your party.’”

Carrie Shepherd had nothing but great things to say about Jennifer Garner.

“She was really sweet, down-to-earth, and very genuine,” Shepherd said. “It certainly lifted the patients’ [spirits], and I think everyone was very thrilled to meet her.”

Meanwhile, Jennifer Garner is focusing on work with costars Queen Latifah and Martin Henderson on her latest film, which is based on the book Three Miracles From Heaven by Christy Beam.

The actress, who also produced the film a lent her voice to one of the characters, brought her seven and a half-year-old daughter to the premiere in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

“It’s actually a grandmother-mother-daughter date night,” Hayek, 48, told People magazine before the screening. “My mom is also here. This film is for everybody.”

Looking beautiful in a Balenciaga dress and Gucci shoes, Hayek showed off her mini-me daughter, who voiced a character in the French version of the film, on the red carpet.

“She’s excited to see [the movie] again and show it to her friends, but she’s also excited because we have a lot of people from the Disney Channel here,” jokes Hayek.

Usually Salma Hayek is very protective of her daughter and tries to keep her out of the spotlight. But, this was a special occasion.

“I never do it,” Hayek said. “But it’s a special occasion. She suffered through Mommy not being around for so long with this one. She’s been a part of it because she had to sacrifice also for this film.”

Salma Hayek said the emotional subject of the film was cathartic for her daughter, who recently lost her grandmother.

“For her, after seeing this movie, she doesn’t see death in the same way. She did a drawing of my grandmother’s tomb. She never met my grandmother. She was sad she was dead,” said Hayek. “Now after seeing the movie, in the drawing, my grandmother was released from the ground and she’s a spirit among us. That’s pretty awesome.”

The duo also took an opportunity to visit Disneyland while in town.

“Saturday we went to Disneyland. It was hot. I was really overworked,” said Salma Hayek. “Once you arrive there, you can not get them out of there. I dragged them out!”

Whitney Houston’s cousin Dionne Warwick, 74, commented on Bobbi Kristina Brown Sunday during Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, just hours after Brown’s death was announced.

Warwick had been scheduled to be on Andy Cohen’s show, and kept her commitment to the TV appearance despite the tragic news the Bobbi Kristina Brown had succumbed to injuries sustained after being found facedown in her Georgia home in January.

Cohen thanked Warwick for being on the show before giving the famed singer an opportunity to share her thoughts on her young cousin, who had died at the age of 22.

“Oh my, do we have enough time? She was a sweetheart and she will be missed, that’s for sure. And she was a good girl. She was a good little girl, she really was,” Warwick said.

Warwick said the loss of Bobbi Kristina so soon after her mother’s own death in similar circumstances was not been easy. However, she credited the family’s faith for the strength to get through both losses.

“I think it’s because of our faith and strength in faith, knowing that Bobbi is now with a much, much bigger and more powerful person — or thing, according to who or how you believe — than we’ll ever know. She’s in much better hands now,” she said.

The daughter of Houston and Bobby Brown died Sunday at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, Georgia, not quite six months after she was found face-down and unresponsive in a bathtub in her home in Roswell, Georgia.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine what led to the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown, authorities said Monday, the day after her death.

  • Shia LaBeouf Gets In Drunken, Public Argument With Girlfriend in Germany

Shia LaBeouf continues with his bad boy ways.

A video has reportedly surfaced showing Shia LaBeouf and girlfriend Mia Goth getting into a very public, and seemingly drunken, verbal argument in Germany on Friday night.

The video, obtained by Entertainment Tonight, shows La Beouf, 29, and Goth, 22, having a heated discussion while coming out of a taxi. At one point, a group of locals intervenes, telling LaBeouf they can drive him to the airport.

The Transformers star seems defensive at the good samaritans intervention and can be heard saying, “I don’t want to touch a woman. I don’t want to hit a woman. But I’m getting pushed.”

LaBeouf continues to tell Goth to give him his bag while telling her he doesn’t want to be aggressive. According to German newspaper, Bild, Goth had apparently grabbed her LaBeouf’s bag in an attempt to keep him from walking away.

Local bystanders recorded the incident and then drove Shia LaBeouf to the airport. In the car, LaBeouf tells the guys who gave him a lift, “I gotta get out of here, bro. If I’d have stayed there, I would have killed her.”

The witness told Bild LaBeouf seemed intoxicated. Another German tabloid, Pure Stars, reported LaBeouf left with an injured hand and Goth was seen the next day with a black eye.

  • Kelly Rutherford Dealt New Blow In Custody Battle, NY Judge Refuses to Hear Case

Kelly Rutherford has been dealt another blow in her six-year custody battle for her children.

According to a report by People magazine, New York has ruled that it will not hear the case because the court does not have authority over the matter.

“Neither California or N.Y.C. are taking jurisdiction. So who in the U.S. has jurisdiction of my America-born U.S. citizen children?” Rutherford told People. “They were sent there by California temporarily to accommodate Daniel’s visa issue, and now California won’t bring them home.”

On Thursday, a Los Angeles judge decided California no longer has jurisdiction over Rutherford’s two kids with ex-husband Daniel Giersch because she no longer lives in the state. Following that verdict, her attorney, Wendy Murphy, filed a separate case in New York family court, but Rutherford says the judge decided on Friday that New York also does not have jurisdiction.

“New York said it had no jurisdiction because California had jurisdiction – which is silly – but it is what it is,” Murphy said. “This new jurisdiction vacuum leaves the children with only their American constitutional citizenship rights to protect them from forced exile, and as rights go, there’s nothing stronger than citizenship, so we are optimistic.”

Rutherford, 46, divorced Giersch in 2007 and the children, son Hermes, eight, and daughter Helena, 6, went to live with him in Monaco. The children spend their summers with Kelly in New York City.

In 2012, when Giersch’s visa was revoked, a California family court judge ruled that the children should stay with him, with Rutherford flying out for visits. Giersch, 42, never reapplied for a visa and she’s been fighting to move her children back to the United States ever since, arguing that the arrangement was meant to be temporary.

“It’s just incredible as an American mom with America-born children,” Rutherford said. “My forefathers fought for this country and the freedoms we enjoy.”

Rutherford said she lives mostly in New York because it makes for a shorter and less expensive flight to Europe. However, that meant California lost jurisdiction.

“The ugly story behind the story is that family courts do not always protect children because they only deal with children’s ‘best interests’ and interests are not enforceable as ‘rights,’ ” Murphy says. “By contrast, higher level courts enforce real rights, so we are optimistic now that California is out of the picture and we can focus on the children’s constitutional rights. California’s family court system has a terrible horrendous reputation, and we are glad to be out of that state once and for all.”

As for Giersch, he says he will continue to encourage a positive arrangement with Rutherford.

“Daniel will continue to promote Kelly’s relationship with the children,” Giersch’s lawyer, Fahi Takesh Hallin, said in a statement Thursday. “He believes that the children deserve to love both parents and has never nor does he intend to ever participate in any negative press directed at Kelly. As always, Daniel will continue to guard the privacy of the children, in their best interests and for their safety.”

  • Eva Longoria Shares Beauty Secrets, Says Everyone Has Time to Exercise

Eva Longoria of Desperate Housewives says everyone has time to fit in exercise no matter how hectic their schedules might be, no excuses.

Looking fabulous at 40, the actress says it’s not secret how she keeps her figure trim. She takes the time to fit in exercise. She told Vogue Australia that most people don’t realize that there is always time in the day to work in some time to get out and work out.

“You waste more time than you think. People say, ‘I don’t have time to work out, I don’t have time to do this.’ When you just commit to it and you all of a sudden prioritise you realise, ‘Oh wait, I did have time,’” Eva Longoria said.

Staying in shape is now more important than ever for Longoria, who acknowledges that it is hard and it does take time, but it’s well worth it for health and looking your best.

She advises people who try to avoid the gym to “just do it”, but also points out how important eating well is too.

“Especially as you get older, people want to know the secret to looking good and there is no secret. It’s diet and exercise. People say they eat well but they don’t exercise. Or they run 20 miles a day but they can’t lose weight. You have to do both,” said Eva Longoria.

Eva says it’s also good to shake it up from time to time, depending on the goal and what works best for you.

“It depends [on what job I’m prepping for]. I’ll do a cleanse to feel better but I’ll do no sugar to lose weight or I’ll do vegan to lean out. Everything has a different reaction,” Eva Longoria outlined.
