    Cheryl Burke Ok With Her Healthy Curves

    Cheryl Burke has struggled with her weight for years while appearing on Dancing With the Stars. It seemed to her like she could never get it right for everyone who was criticizing her.

    “Five years ago, I got criticized by the press, like Howard Stern, about being too fat. But it’s another thing when your fans say to you, ‘Oh my god, you look like you’re dying,’ ” Cheryl Burke said.

    The criticism by Stern that she speaks of went like this,

    “Some of the dancers are fat,” said Stern of Cheryl Burke and another woman on the show. “There’s two dancers on there that are overweight…They must go home and eat a truckload of food…There’s one young girl, blonde-haired girl—she’s BIG. It’s Chaz’s dancing partner [Lacey Schwimmer]….I don’t understand how someone who does that much physical exercise could gain that much weight. And then, the Cheryl girl…She’s thick.”

    Of course, Howard Stern has a long, long history of taking it on himself to label regular-sized celebrities as “fat”. Cheryl Burke is in good company with the likes of Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera, and even Rihanna.

    Howard Stern insults people all day long, but it really hurt Cheryl Burke when criticism came from fans of the show.

    “When you change your lifestyle, your body changes. I’m completely healthy. My curves are never going to go away. Have I lost weight? Absolutely. But not in an unhealthy way. I want everyone to know that. I love my fans. But words are hurtful, especially coming from people you think always have your back.”

    Cheryl Burke looks great at a healthy, normal size. How does she do it? Nothing special, just eating right and getting plenty of exercise.

    “I’m taking care of my body. Eighty percent of it is what you eat and what you consume. It’s all about portion control. I’m not on a diet. I’m not on Atkins or anything. It’s just the fact that I’m eating right.”

    Duck Dynasty’s Jase On Famous GQ Interview

    Duck Dynasty’s Jase Robertson has opened up about his experience in the now infamous GQ interview with Drew Magary. You know, the one that caused a huge stir and controversy across the nation when Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson said that homosexuality is a sin.

    The nation heard about Phil Robertson’s answers and the stand for faith that rocked Duck Dynasty to the core and almost lost Phil Robertson (and the rest of the family, since they weren’t going on without him) their highly-rated show on A&E. We also heard weeks (and weeks, and weeks) of backlash from all over the country claiming Phil Robertson was everything from a bigot to a homophobe to a racist and back.

    Well, now Jase Robertson of Duck Dynasty is telling the other side of the story about what went on during that immortal interview.

    Apparently, the Duck Dynasty cast in its entirety eventually walked out on the interview because “it felt more like an attack because our family has a prayer at the end of the show”, according to Jase. He says he even tried to convince his father “to stop the interview because the questions were hypothetical, argumentative, and controversial.”

    Jase said the interview involving the cast of Duck Dynasty didn’t even start out on a good note, as Drew Magary began with unsavory language and moved straight to even more offensive questions.

    Duck Dynasty‘s Jase revealed that from the get-go, “He was using four-letter words, a lot of F-bombs, he was making fun of some of the things we hold true. The first statement of the whole process was, he looked at me and said, ‘Do you actually expect people to believe that you waited until you got married before you had sex?’ That was the first statement out of his mouth. Well, I kind of looked around at the publicist and I thought, ‘Is this the interview?’ I mean, because this was just the way it came across.”

    However, the family of Duck Dynasty is a forgiving bunch, and they don’t want to believe that Magary intentionally set them up to be torn down, but…it kinda seems that way.

    “…I think it was just a plan to get some, some of that [which] caused us some trouble. But, you know, we don’t hold anything against him, so. Or even by trying that. My dad thought he wanted to take a stand in his house, and I don’t blame him.”

  • George W. Bush Has Partial Knee Replacement Done

    George W. Bush underwent a partial knee replacement on Saturday. Apparently, the partial knee replacement is a newer option, but one that the Baby Boomer generation is really ready to embrace.

    “It’s remarkable what they can do now,” George W. Bush’s spokesman Freddy Ford said. “He walked up and down a flight of stairs just a couple hours after the surgery.”

    The procedure was done in Chicago, but George W. Bush and his wife Laura left there on Monday morning and headed back to Dallas to recover. Ford said that the former president is looking forward to getting back on his mountain bike.

    Dr. Sergio Viroslav, a knee specialist at the San Antonio Orthopedic Group, said of George W. Bush’s surgery that the time is right for this procedure to become standard since Baby Boomers are not satisfied with retiring and just sitting around getting old. Today’s seniors are simply more active, but thankfully the days of a bum knee ruining their fun are long gone.

    “Nowadays these can be done as outpatient operations with less of a chance of complications, people really are flocking and deciding ‘this is for me’,” he said. “People are looking for things that keep them active and involved with golf, tennis, hiking. Because patients today are demanding this, saying ‘hey doc, I want to be better, I want to resume what I was doing, I don’t want to sit around on the couch.”

    Dr. Viroslav added that being active like George W. Bush in the latter years has other healthy benefits like staving off diabetes and other issues, so seniors need to stay as active as possible.

    Hopefully George W. Bush will recover quickly so he can get back to his biking, marathoning, running with soldiers, and generally putting the younger generations to shame.

  • Jennette McCurdy Makes Lame Statement

    Jennette McCurdy has had a lot of things happen lately that would make her want to bury her head in the sand from embarrassment. Like leaked photos of her in her delicates that may or may not have ultimately shut down Sam & Cat, her show with Ariana Grande.

    The rumors of a raging feud between Jennette McCurdy and Grande over salary would also be a bit of an embarrassment.

    However, this week Jennette McCurdy kinda added a cherry to the top of the fiasco. In an interview, she made a statement that was…well…a little childish.

    When speaking of her 2600 sq. ft. mansion in Studio City, Ca., she said, “I picked out all of the furniture myself, and that makes me proud.”

    As though that were a big accomplishment worth noting. Would that fall under the category of first world accomplishments?

    There’s nothing wrong with being proud of possessing the skill to go to a really expensive furniture store and pick out whatever you like because you’re a TV star and, well, you can. Jennette McCurdy, like so many of us do, realized that the statement was ridiculous almost as soon as it came out of her mouth.

    She posted to Instagram for a little self-chastisement.

    “A piece on me and my home in the latest @People magazine home issue. ‘I picked out all my own furniture, and that makes me proud. That quote doesn’t make me proud lol,” she said.

    The piece was about her home, which she says centers around her lovely bedroom.

    “My whole setup is bedroom-centric. I order a pizza, then set the box on my bed. I read in bed. I even have an office, but I never go in it to do work; I just plop my laptop on my bed. It feels like a comfy little haven.”

    Poor Jennette McCurdy. She made a dumb statement just like we all do. But, it is kinda nice not to have the dumb things we say published for people all over the world to read!

  • Miranda Cosgrove Joins Jordin Sparks For NFL Ads

    MIranda Cosgrove is joining singer Jordin Sparks to promote the NFL’s new clothing line for young women. Football season is far away, but they have already started shooting ads featuring Miranda Cosgrove.

    Jordin Sparks, daughter of N.Y. Giant Phillippi Sparks, shouldn’t have any problem sporting Arizona colors. Although, they may be insulting to her father.

    “I was born and raised in Arizona. Although I have an allegiance to the Giants because of my daddy, I bleed Cardinal Red,” she explained. “I’ve always loved the underdog!”

    However, Miranda Cosgrove and Jordin Sparks aren’t even the only young stars that the NFL has picked up to do the ads. They have been very busy lining up young celebrities to draw other young women to their clothing line.

    Joining Cosgrove and Jordin Sparks are Gossip Girl actress Vanessa Szohr, Disney Channel’s China Anne McClain, and Victoria’s Secret model Erin Heatherton

    Not much is known yet about the campaign or the ads featuring Miranda Cosgrove, but there have been a few behind the scenes sneak peeks that have been leaked online.

    Miranda Cosgrove first made her big screen appearance as Summer Hathaway in Jack Black’s School of Rock. She then went on to find fame on Nickelodeon’s show Drake & Josh.

    After that came her big role on iCarly which led her to be named in the 2012 Guiness Book of World Records as the Highest Paid Child Actress.

    Now she is moving on to become a famous face for the NFL.

    Kate Upton must be the most sought-after girl in the world right now.

    However, some men would not have what it takes to get a second look from the lovely and talented model.

    Grooming is very important to Kate Upton and that definitely comes across in her new campaign for Gillette.

    So, the world must know…

    What does it take to get Kate Upton‘s attention?

    She says confidence is key.

    Kate Upton told GQ, “I think, really, it’s all about confidence – it’s however a guy feels the most confident. And anytime someone walks into a room who is just exuding confidence, I think whatever they’re doing is amazing.”

    Unless what they’re doing is steering clear of the shower and deodorant and they smell bad.

    “…if you think that someone smells bad then that usually means that you’re not attracted to them. It’s like your body is rejecting them. It’s pheromones.”

    Or not taking proper care of themselves, in which case, you may not have a shot. It’s quite important.

Growing up my mom was like ‘this is what you do, this is how you do it.’ I have a younger brother and the only reason he’s doing it because we tell him: you have to wash your face, you have to moisturise, you have to trim.     I wish it was that easy for my little brother in his teen years! Oh, well. I guess we can’t all have that kind of influence.

    If you’re looking to get a second glance from Kate Upton, in short, be confident and don’t stink. That…pretty much goes for most women, actually.

  • Lamar Odom “Hits Rock Bottom” After Knicks Drop

    Lamar Odom’s dreams of an NBA comeback have just about officially been shattered. Odom has now been dropped from the Knicks for good, and didn’t even play a game for them in the remaining 2013-2014 season.

    Lamar Odom is a free agent at this point and could possibly get picked up by another team, but chances are slim. Very slim.

    A source close to Lamar Odom revealed that he had been working hard, sleeping right, eating right and really trying to ensure that he was ready to do his best to fish his flailing NBA career out of the toilet. However, the news that he was dropped from the Knicks really kicked him in the groin.

    The source close to Lamar Odom said, “He really put his heart into it. But when he got word that he wasn’t up to par, his whole world dropped. He’s at rock bottom. But it wasn’t a surprise. He knew this was one great possibility from the jump.”

    Unfortunately, Lamar Odom has made a few too many headlines as of late for the Knicks to be comfortable with. He is allegedly battling an addiction and his marriage to Khloe Kardashian has crumbled amid rumors of carousing and infidelity.

    “This is truly not the way Lamar wanted to go out,” the source continued. “Not at all. Not that he gives a f*ck about what people think about him, but he doesn’t want his [alleged] addiction and his failed marriage to overshadow what he’s accomplished as a professional athlete in the NBA.”

    However, it does seem like his stellar accomplishments with the NBA are being a little overlooked and are dwelling in the shadows of his recent mistakes.

    “Nobody is talking about the legends he’s played with and the mini-legend he was,” according to the same insider. “That sh*t is not sitting well with him and that’s going through his mind.

    “If basketball is done, if it’s truly done for him, he wants to go out in a better light. [Lamar] feels he owes that to himself, to his family, and to the NBA fans who’ve stuck by and supported him in his difficult times, and who were also there cheering him on in championship games.”

    Maybe some other team will give the recovering basketball star just one more chance at greatness. We shall see.

  • Pet Food Store Owner Goes On Pet Food Diet

    Pet food is not for people. Unless you happen to be Dorothy Hunter of Washington state.

    Dorothy Hunter is eating pet food for 30 days to try to raise awareness of what is actually in pet food ingredients.

    Gross!

    “I was really busy one day. We were getting ready for a car show in a hurry to get stuff done that day. I didn’t want to take time to leave the store to get something to eat so I just grabbed a package off the shelf,” said Hunter.

    I just don’t think I’ve ever been that busy, but Hunter says that quick snack has turned into a mission to get the attention of pet owners everywhere and get them to start checking the ingredients on not only their pet food, but the food they feed their families.

    “People are so shocked by the story that they are actually reading the ingredients on products and asking,’What is this?’ So, I’m really happy that came out, that was my main goal. People read the ingredients, be aware of what they’re feeding to their pets, kids or themselves because there’s a lot of stuff out there that’s not very good,” said Hunter.

    This is true, there are many things in our pet food and our own food that we really shouldn’t be eating, but I think that is common enough knowledge by now. Does she really have to eat pet food for a month to prove it?

    What happens if it’s totally disgusting? Well, the pet food goes to her pets. Where it belongs.

    “If I try something and I don’t like it, my dogs are getting it. So that’s worked out real well for them. They’re happy with that part. They’re a little confused as to why I’m eating the dog food, but they’re getting over it,” said Hunter.

    I’m not sure I’ll be getting over that image very soon, but her tactics seem to have worked. She has, in fact, garnered the attention of the nation for a few minutes. Hopefully her pet food mission will be successful enough to make it worth her while.

  • Stacy Keibler Keeping Baby Girl’s Name A Secret

    Stacy Keibler is expecting a daughter next month with her husband, tech entrepreneur Jared Pobre. But, even if you’re a friend or family member, no one will know the name they have picked except the expectant couple.

    “It’s a secret for now,” Keibler says, “We just cannot wait to meet her. I feel like we have such a connection already. I feel like we intuitively talk to each other, and so I just can’t wait to actually meet her.”

    The name, Stacy Keibler revealed, was actually quite easy to choose.

    “We just talked about one name and that was it — easy peasy. Everything with us has been easy and effortless, including the name.”

    Getting her nursery ready was also “easy peasy” for Stacy Keibler because she used a neat concept at her baby shower. Take note expectant moms!

    “Actually, at my baby shower I asked everybody to bring their favorite children’s book.”, Keibler said. “It’s great because the nursery is filled with all of my friends and family’s favorite children’s books. So she’s covered.”

    Now that Stacy Keibler has the name and has the nursery prepared, there’s not much else to do but sit and wait for their little pink bundle of joy to make her grand entrance into the world.

    And give out healthy pregnancy advice.

    She does look and feel great, and her secret is a strict organic diet and her supernatural anti-craving pregnancy.

    “Everything I eat or put on my skin is organic. I only use organic products. Everything I put on my skin, basically I can eat.”

    Stacy Keibler seems to have it all together, and has some good points about a healthy pregnancy.

    “[Pregnancy] is a time to be as healthy as you can be and build the foundation for your baby. I think that you should be even more conscious of what you’re doing.”

    And, “I really truly believe that pregnancy is not a time to have an excuse to eat donuts.”

    I don’t know, I’m pretty sure it is. But she looks great and is having the best year of her life, Stacy Keibler says. She has a new husband, a new baby on the way, and a great life.

    Laura Prepon: OITNB Not Canceled

    Laura Prepon has really been run through the rumor mill this week. First, the That 70’s Show cutie has been married off in the presses because she was caught trying on a white Isabelle Armstrong Haute Couture evening dress at Bergdorf Goodman on Tuesday.

    Turned out the fuss was over nothing, as she was getting set to host Bella Magazine’s All-White Party in the Hamptons on July 26th. Well, I’m sure the dress looked fabulous anyway.

    Just as that story was put to rest, another blossomed about Laura Prepon’s show, Orange Is The New Black. Someone spread a rumor that the incredibly popular Netflix series had been canceled.

    The announcement appeared in an article that also gave the reason for the show’s supposed cancellation, which is a little shocking (and almost unbelievable).

    Allegedly, Netflix co-founder and CEO Reed Hastings said that the show didn’t portray women as they should be.

    “A woman’s place is in the home, in the kitchen, taking care of children. A woman in jail? How does anyone even watch this show in the first place? It’s like we took everything bad about OZ and make [sic] this show with the leftovers.”

    I don’t know, that just doesn’t sound like a statement a person, who wants to keep his job and his money, would say. Those feelings are pretty accurate since those rumors have been dispelled. Orange is the New Black will indeed return for a third season.

    And the show will feature a lot more Laura Prepon, which is fine with her! She absolutely loves doing it.

    “Alex is one of my favorite characters I’ve ever played. She’s so cool, she’s such a badass, but you also see these extremely vulnerable sides to her. She’s a very complex character to play, which is amazing for me.” Laura Prepon said.

    She loves the people she works with, too. And as well all know, that can make or break a job.

    “This cast (of OITNB) is amazing. I’ve never worked with such a great group of talented actresses. It’s been such a wonderful experience,” Laura Prepon said of the cast.

    Stacy Keibler says that absolutely everything about her pregnancy has been easy, including the name-picking process.

    Cue collective eye-rolling from just about any woman who has given birth.

    If this statement is true, however, what is her secret? Stacy Keibler says it’s all about maintaining her healthy lifestyle.

    “I’m so grateful and so blessed, but I truly believe that it is a testament to having a healthy lifestyle,” she explains. “I’m very mindful of everything that I put into my body and that I put on my skin. I stay active every single day and I’ve done that since the beginning [so] I just feel like energetically it’s been really easy.”

    Ok, but what about all that cliche pickle-and-ice-cream-and-everything-unhealthy craving business? She says it never happened.

    “I really truly believe that pregnancy is not a time to have an excuse to eat doughnuts. I haven’t had any cravings believe it or not!”

    I’m betting there was at least one late-night waffle slip-up, but I could be wrong. And who needs an excuse to eat a donut? Not this girl.

    Lamar Odom: Can He Win Back His Wife?

    Lamar Odom has had a bit of a rough time lately. On July the 13th episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Khloe Kardashian finally admitted that Odom had cheated on her.

    She admitted that she lied to her family about being with Lamar Odom on her birthday last year, instead revealing that he was with another woman.

    In Sunday’s episode, Khloe Kardashian explains that she knew about Lamar Odom’s affair for some time but didn’t say anything.

    She said, “Let me tell you something. Last year on my birthday I lied to everyone because I had to lie and say I was with my husband. He was messing with another girl!”

    Well, now that the air is clear about that the question becomes, when will Lamar Odom sign off on those divorce papers? He reportedly doesn’t want to give up on Khloe and she is the mother of his child, but he may have a hard time convincing her. I mean, she has obviously moved on to find new love with French Montana.

    That new love is rumored to be moving quickly into a new marriage for Lamar Odom’s wife.

    Reportedly, a source close to the couple says that French Montana wants to marry Khloe as soon as her divorce from Lamar Odom is final.

    “He has started to look at rings. French knows she’s the one for him. They’ve discussed their future and she’s said she would marry him.

    “If he got his way, French would propose soon, and they would marry by the end of the year. So Khloe is going to try to push her divorce through as soon as possible.”

    Well, it looks bleak for Lamar Odom and his hopes to win back his wife. Maybe he should have thought about that before he sought extra-curricular fun?

  • Debra Messing To Star In “The Mysteries Of Laura”

    Debra Messing may have finally come across a show that could match the success she found on Will & Grace.

    The comedy/drama, which will air on NBC, stars Debra Messing as a successful homicide detective who has to balance her encompassing work with raising twin five-year-old boys as a single mother.

    Apparently the drama part of this unusual hybrid is right up Debra Messing‘s alley.

    “I have been an avid watcher of what was CourtTV and is now TruTV; live trials because I am fascinated by the judicial system. I am amazed by how extreme human nature can present itself. Life is more than interesting than art most of the time. In my downtime, I watch 48 Hours and Dateline and everything has to do with murder,” she said.

    “I know there’s something I should explore about that with my therapist.”

    The comedy aspect of The Mysteries of Laura follows Debra Messing’s Laura as she raises her boys, which as a working mother, she can totally relate to.

    “There is something incredibly universal about the predicament and the thing that interested me was the specificity of her personal life and the specificity of the job she had to have,” Messing said. “I never felt like we were creating a new wheel in terms of … a woman can work and be a mother at the same time. If anything, the balance of the tone of the drama and the comedy that is going to be the newest adventure and the newest challenge because that we haven’t seen on network TV before.”

    There is definitely something universal about how mothers who work can find the time to balance it all! Debra Messing knows that most of us are still trying to figure it all out, and are looking for a little comedic comiseration on screen.

  • Disney Monorail Up And Running Again

    The Disney monorail that was shut down on Sunday because of lightning was back up and running again on Monday. The lightning did not strike the actual car of the monorail, but did shut down the power around 6:30 pm.

    After several attempts at a restart, the car was evacuated beginning at 7, and was totally empty by 8, thanks to Disney’s fast response. No one suffered injury.

    Renee Wells and her husband, of Ray City, Ga., actually saw the lightning strike. They tried to calm other patrons as they waited for the Disney monorail car to start.

    Many of the other guests began “freaking out” after the Disney monorail slowly came to a stop after the lightning hit, according to Wells. “We kept having to tell them it’s fine – yes, we’re 30 feet in the air, yes, it’s hotter than you know what, but we’re OK.”

    It got hot and it caused a little worry, but that didn’t stop guests from drawing Mickey ears on the windows of the Disney monorail in the forming condensation, as show in some of Wells’ photos.

    It didn’t stop the couple, who was traveling on the Disney monorail with their two young children, from looking on the bright side of things. They did get to have a little adventure as they were evacuated.

    “It was neat because we got to be on top of the monorail.” Wells said.

    Because of the inconvenience caused by the halting of the Disney monorail, park employees went above and beyond to make things right for guests like the Wells’.

    Disney gave toys to her children and FastPasses to the entire family. If you’ve ever been to Disneyworld, you’ll know that is worth a small fortune in itself! Employees also made sure that the Wells’ were not charged for the dinner they missed and rescheduled their dinner at a closer Disney parks restaurant.

  • Keira Knightley Not In “Comfort Zone” For New Movie

    Keira Knightley is pioneering new territory in her acting career by starring as a singer (and singing her own songs) in her new movie, Begin Again.

    Knightley took voice lessons to prepare for the role and also learned a few tricks and chords to make it look like she knew what she was doing for the film’s many music scenes.

    “The whole thing was out of my comfort zone. I am not a singer. I didn’t know how to do that,” she said of her most challenging, and least tragic, role to date.

    Keira Knightley plays a british singer, Gretta, who comes to America with her musician boyfriend, which is Adam Levine in his debut role, just as he is about to make it big.

    When he gets caught up in fame and glory and leaves her by the wayside, Keira Knightley’s character finds her break in a smokey bar when she is discovered by washed-up music executive, Dan, played by the fabulous Mark Ruffalo.

    “Essentially, what it is about is people falling down in life and trying to pick themselves back up, whether that is romantically or whatever,” said Keira Knightley of the movie’s premise.

    It wasn’t all easy, though. It’s the first time Keira Knightley has had to stretch her vocals on film, but also the first time that improvisation has been a major part of her job.

    “A lot of the film was improvised, and I had never done that before. I’d say that those two were major things to be grappling with.”

    Those are definitely two major challenges, but Keira Knightley handles them both beautifully! She also enjoys an incredible line-up of co-stars including Catherine Keener, Hailee Steinfeld, CeeLo Green, and Yasiin Bey (formerly known as Mos Def).

  • Ariana Grande Says Goodbye To Cat

    Ariana Grande confirmed on Sunday that the Nickelodeon show Sam & Cat, that she starred in with Jennette McCurdy, has been canceled and that Cat is going away for good.

    July 17th’s episode will be considered the season finale, though it is only technically the 36th episode.

    The show was abruptly put on “hiatus” back in April after scandalous pics of Jenny McCurdy in her delicates were leaked online. Then there were rampant rumors that Ariana Grande and Jennette McCurdy were feuding over each other’s salaries.

    Although, that rumor was rebuffed by Ariana Grande quickly.

    “The rumors circulating about our contracts and our salary not being equal are absolutely ridiculous and false. I don’t know who’s putting these idiotic quotes out there but I thought I’d straighten it out and try to end this nonsense.”

    Included in her lengthy statement was a flat out denial that salary had anything to do with the feud or the “hiatus”.

    “As far as the show goes, I don’t know what’s happening because I’m not directly involved with the problem but I just wanted to address this one rumor in particular because I am NOT making more money than my costar, nor do I think I should be,” she continued. “So we can all move on and get out of our heads that this was a money thing cause I don’t play like that at all. I am, have always been and always will be about equality and fairness.”

    Jenny McCarthy won’t be on The View next season, but the hilarious comedienne will be claiming a seat behind the mic on a new SiriusXM radio show called Dirty Sexy Funny with Jenny McCarthy.

    “It’s no secret that I love to talk. I’m excited to do it on SiriusXM without having to interrupt anyone or keep things clean. You can bet your sweet ass this show will live up to its title.”

    So what will Jenny McCarthy be dishing about? Well, parenting, dating, sex, and all the other things that the single mom has become an expert on. Even her fiance, Donnie Wahlberg, won’t be off limits.

  • Ariana Grande: No Longer “Cat” On Nickelodeon

    Ariana Grande and Jennette McCurdy are parting ways after extensive rumored feuding on the set of their Nickelodeon show Sam & Cat. The show has been canceled, though it showed great promise to become a Nickelodeon staple.

    The show followed Ariana Grande (Cat) and Jennette McCurdy (Sam) as they become roommates and begin their own babysitting service. The characters are pulled from other hit Nickelodeon shows. Ariana Grande’s Cat is from the show Victorious. Jennette McCurdy’s Sam is from the immensely popular iCarly.

    Nickelodeon ordered an impressive 40 episodes of Sam & Cat after just four episodes had aired. The show was on target to be a major hit for a network that doesn’t suffer from a shortage of major hits.

    That’s when the nude photos of Jennette McCurdy were leaked online. Then the show announced a hiatus in April.

    Since Ariana Grande has supposedly been feuding with her co-star and the shows executives over salary negotiations, the plug has been pulled on the whole project.

    “Nickelodeon will not be producing more episodes of Sam & Cat,” a network spokesperson said in a statement. “We are very proud of the show and its very talented cast and we wish them all the best.”

    Ariana Grande took to Facebook to air her goodbyes to the show and her character.

    Jennette McCurdy has been noticeably absent from commenting on social media, just as she was noticeably absent from the Kids’ Choice Awards in March amid the rumored feud with Ariana Grande.

  • Keira Knightley Actually Doesn’t Die In New Film

    Keira Knightley is finally lightening up in her new film Begin Again. It’s about time.

    After a decade-long flood of period films like Atonement and Anna Karenina, Keira Knightley was really due for a lighter role wherein she doesn’t die.

    “I was actually told,” Knightley said of the gloomy stretch, “that in the last five years I’ve made 10 films and I died in seven of them! So I sort of thought at the end of Anna Karenina that I should maybe do something that had at least a little hope in it.”

    That’s a lot of dying! However, in Begin Again, Keira Knightley stars opposite Mark Ruffalo as a young songstress who gets discovered by a has-been record producer.

    Keira Knightley even had to learn a little fancy guitar work in order to be believable. “I learned how to play the right chords at about the right time,” she said. “I couldn’t sing and play the chords at the right time. But at least it looked like I could actually play the songs, [which is] the thing about acting! Yeah, that’s it in a nutshell!”

    Keira Knightley did actually sing all of the songs it the movie.

    Keira Knightley has had plenty of practice at acting. She began her career as a child, even before she starred in Bend It Like Beckham. Yet somehow, she managed to not go crazy like many other child actors.

    “Being a very introverted 18-year-old girl meant it was a very different experience. It wasn’t like having years of going, ‘Why isn’t anybody taking notice, why don’t they realize?’ It was more a sort of, ‘Oh f***, that’s just happened, and how do I deal with that? I can’t go outside any more!’.” Keira Knightly said of growing up in the spotlight.

    “Luckily, it was so long ago, I don’t remember. But I’m still alive, I’m still here and I’m not a drug addict, so I must have been all right!”, Knightley added.

    She definitely did a lot better than many do!

    Laura Prepon, best known to us children of the 90’s as Donna Pinciotti of That 70’s Show, was spotted having a private white dress fitting at Bergdorf Goodman earlier this week. Wedding rumors ensued with vigor, of course.

    Well, it turns out that the Orange is the New Black actress is actually preparing to host Bella New York City magazine’s All White Party in the Hamptons on July 26th. That makes a lot more sense than a preparation for 34-year-old Laura Prepon to walk the almighty aisle.

    Laura Prepon has recently rocketed into the spotlight after several small roles on TV shows including October Road, House, MD, Castle and How I Met Your Mother. Her incredibly popular role on Orange is the New Black has definitely redefined her career and has even changed the way she looks at herself.

    Laura Prepon said of her co-stars, “All the women on the show are different shapes, sizes, colors and creed – everything! You really embrace who you are, your curves and everything … So if anything on this show, it’s the most comfortable I’ve ever been because all of us just really embrace who we are. It’s wonderful.”

    Amber Alert Canceled, Boy Found Safe

    The Amber Alert that was issued for 15-year-old Dustin Wade Shaver in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, has been suspended. The boy was found safe and his biological mother, Denise Michelle Shaver, 39, and her companions, Kevin Scott Parrish, 24, and Kayla Hoy, have been charged with his abduction.

    The Amber Alert was issued at 11:30 p.m. Saturday and was canceled Sunday morning at 8:20 after the boy was found in Benson, North Carolina. Denise Shaver and Kevin Parrish are being held in the Johnston County Jail, and Kayla Hoy is in the Wake County Jail.

    The boy was reported missing earlier in the week, but then Dustin Wade Shaver was thought to be in extreme danger when authorities suspected that his mother was involved. Therefore, the Amber Alert was issued.

    After the Alert was issued, tips began flooding in. According to Sheriff Mike Taylor, these tips led investigators to laser their focus on Benson, North Carolina. The arrests were reportedly made peacefully and without incident. The suspects are now awaiting extradition.

    Luckily the boy was found safe. As to the strange circumstances that surround his abduction, Amber Alert, and resulting arrest of his biological mother, no other information has been released.

    It will be interesting to find out the full story behind this baffling situation. For now, the boy is being returned to his legal guardian. However, there is no information to be found as to who his legal guardian is.
