  • Priscilla Presley Wants To Share “Real” Elvis

    Priscilla Presley has been keeping the memory of her deceased ex-husband alive for 37 years now. She still cherishes the time she was married to him and the way she got to see him like no one else did.

    Priscilla was the force behind opening up Graceland to the public in 1982. She did it to help keep him on the minds of his fans, young and old, as well as to help pay for the costly upkeep.

    Next month, Priscilla Presley is lending some of his greatest personal items to an exhibition in London’s O2 arena. She tells the Daily Mirror that she is excited to share the real Elvis with old fans and new ones.

    She recalled the first time she set eyes on the King of Rock ‘n Roll, when she was only 14, and fell in love.

    “I remember when I set eyes on him, he was just so kind, so authentic,” says Priscilla.

    She continued, “I was just a teenager at the time and I was in Germany, he was signing autographs.”

    “I just thought how he was the real deal, Elvis wasn’t putting on any pretense, he never did. What you saw with him is what you got. Not everyone knows that, people know his music but they don’t necessarily know the real Elvis, I want the world to know he was a lovely, loyal man.”

    This is a special occasion since Elvis’ personal items have never left his Graceland estate until now.

    Priscilla said of Elvis at The O2: The Exhibition of His Life, “I’m very excited about it, we have been wanting to bring an Elvis exhibition to England for some time. Some of these exhibits haven’t been seen before. Elvis will be so happy, he always thought his British fans were so supportive, he had a special love for them.”

    Priscilla added, “He would talk about them since the day I met him, what the support meant for him. He took nothing for granted. Elvis even made a scrapbook himself, filled with pictures of the fans, he never forgot them. He felt very attached to Britain.”

    Britain is sure to be a little more attached to Elvis and Priscilla Presley after this exhibition!

  • Hope Solo’s Domestic Violence Trial Set For January

    Hope Solo finally has a trial date. The soccer star is scheduled to stand trial for domestic violence on January 20th.

    She will answer charges that she injured her half-sister and her nephew during an altercation at a family gathering in June at her half-sister’s Seattle home. Solo was charged with two counts of fourth-degree domestic violence assault.

    Solo attended a hearing on Tuesday and her next will be on January 6th. During Tuesday’s hearing, her attorney, Todd Maybrown asked that the alleged victims of the assault be deposed in the presence of a stenographer.

    Hope Solo‘s half-sister and her 17-year-old nephew had previously refused, but that request was granted.

    According to the alleged victims, Hope Solo arrived at the family gathering already drunk and angry. She then said that her nephew was “too fat and overweight and crazy to ever be an athlete,” the court documents say.

    Things went downhill from there. The nephew then called her a name and walked away, causing her to follow him.

    Attorneys for the alleged victims say that Solo attacked the teen. They say she punched him in the face and tackled him after he said that both she and her father were crazy.

    The nephew then brandished an old gun that supposedly did not work and pointed it at her in an attempt to scare her and to get her to stop assaulting him and his mother and to leave the house.

    The gun turned out to be an old broken BB gun.

    Maybrown will argue that Solo’s actions were in self-defense and will attempt to paint her as the victim.

    With all of the domestic violence attention that the NFL has received the past few months, some are calling for Hope Solo to be suspended from the U.S. National soccer team, but the U.S. Soccer Federation has said that it will let the justice system work and then re-evaluate after the outcome.

    Amanda Bynes: Manic-Depressive Or Not?

    Amanda Bynes has strung the nation along on her wild ride of ups and downs.

    From vulgar thoughts to accusations of abuse, the troubled former star seems to have some serious issues.

    On Tuesday, Bynes tweeted that she has been diagnosed with Manic-Depressive disorder and Bi-Polar disorder.

    However, the facts of her diagnosis are a bit unclear.

    She later tweeted that it wasn’t even her that sent out those earlier tweets.

    So, fans (and happy train-wreck watchers) are left to wonder, as usual, just what in the world is going on.

    Shortly after, the “it wasn’t me” tweet went out saying, “I was at a friends apartment last night and one of my friends tweeted my phone. sorry guys !”

    That post has since been deleted, and so have many tweets back into May. Some of the deleted ones are the tweets that accuse her dad of sexual abuse.

    However, some have been added that are downright bizarre, as expected.

    Bynes’ parents are reportedly only giving her $50 per day. A fortune to a normal girl her age, but to her, not so much.

    Wedding Rings In Your Halloween Candy?

    Wedding rings from two unlucky people ended up in some kids’ trick-or-treat bags over the weekend.

    If you live in Boston, Massachusetts or Mesa, Arizona, you may have found some nice treats after gorging on candy after Halloween.

    Now, the owners of the lost wedding rings are hoping you’ll do the right thing.

    Robert Rand of Boston lost his ring while handing out candy on Halloween night.

    “My wedding ring slipped off into someone’s bag,” Rand told ABC News. “I am just without words about how sad I am.”

    He is hoping the person who got it will return it. It has the inscriptions “1-4-3” and “10/11/93”.

    If you have his wedding ring, be a good citizen and return it to this poor guy!

    Also in the same boat is Brooklin Yazzie, of Mesa.

    She says she was carving pumpkins with her kids when she decided to take off her wedding ring and put it in the candy jar for safekeeping. When she gave away all the candy, and the jar was empty, she realized what she had done.

    She has been looking for it ever since. She has been putting up signs in her neighborhood and has made a public plea on TV in order to find her wedding ring, but so far, no luck.

    “It’s my wedding ring, you know?” Yazzie said. “I mean you could replace it, but it’s not the same.”

    If you find her wedding ring in your candy, do the right thing and give it back to this woman!

    Such a sad thing to happen. Anyone who has ever lost their wedding rings can testify that it is a truly devastating feeling.

    Jenna von Oy Welcomes Second Baby Girl

    Jenna von Oy and her husband, Brad Bratcher, welcomed a new baby girl on Saturday.

    Marlowe Monroe Bratcher, seven lbs., four oz. and measuring 18.25 inches, came into the world at 12:35 pm to join her big sister, two-year-old Gray Audrey.

    The name is definitely unique, and it wasn’t just the parents who decided on Marlowe Monroe.

    “We began mulling over names at the beginning of my pregnancy, and came up with a few we were fond of,” von Oy, 37, says.

    She added, “When we mentioned them aloud in front of Gray, Marlowe was the name that resonated most with her. She started referring to her future baby sister by name from that point on, and it stuck!”

    “Gray was wonderfully sweet and affectionate when she met Marlowe for the first time, immediately asking to sit and hold her,” von Oy said.

    She added, “She gently caressed Marlowe’s cheek, smiled down at her and carefully gave her a kiss. It was an incredibly moving moment to witness.”

    Anna Faris and her Mom co-star, Allison Janney, will be hosting The People’s Choice Awards 2015.

    The announcement was made this morning.

    “We are thrilled to have Anna and Allison as hosts of our show,” said Executive Producer Mark Burnett. “Our job is to entertain our audience, and these actresses have such chemistry and comedic timing that no matter who wins, everyone will be having fun.”

    That is so true. Their chemistry is spot-on and will surely make everything more enjoyable and light-hearted.

  • Brittany Maynard Dies, Leaves Hard Questions Behind

    Brittany Maynard died on Saturday, peacefully and surrounded by her husband, parents, and her best friend.

    The lovely young newlywed captured the attention of the everyone in the nation. Then everyone seemed to zealously take one side or another on her choice.

    Despite mostly religious cries that she was doing the wrong thing or sinning by taking her own life, she made the difficult decision to die on her own terms.

    For example, Maggie Karner, a woman with the same kind of brain cancer that was slowly taking Brittany Maynard’s life, posted an open letter to Maynard on YouTube.

    In it she says, “All of us are feeling your loss, your pain. Nobody is judging, but people are watching.”

    She then compared Maynard to a jumper on a ledge.

    “What would happen if our society decided to yell to that ledge jumper, ‘Yeah, you’re right, there isn’t a better way. Go ahead,’” Karner asked.

    In an interesting turn of metaphor, Benjamin L. Corey, of Patheos, also eloquently compared Brittany to a jumper.

    But, not just any jumper, the iconic “Falling Man” featured in a 9/11 photo by Richard Drew.

    You probably remember the startling and disturbing images, and sounds, of people hitting the pavement and lower roofs on the live footage of the terrorist attacks on September 11th, 2001. Corey likens Brittany Maynard to those jumpers in that they didn’t choose to die, but they did choose how they would die.

    Instead of suffocating in the heavy smoke or burning to death in the flames, they chose an inevitable end to their lives that would be quicker and less painful. Yet, Corey points out, no one rose up and called their actions wrong or sinful.

    In fact, the cause of their deaths was listed as homicide by blunt force trauma.

    A spokesman from the New York City medical examiners office put it this way, “Jumping indicates a choice, and these people did not have that choice.”

    She added, “That is why the deaths were ruled homicide, because the actions of other people caused them to die…”

    Brittany Maynard’s situation has polarized the country like not very many issues can. What do you think about her choice?

    Quitting smoking has long been one of the hardest things on the planet to accomplish for anyone.

    Whether you choose to go cold turkey, wear a patch, or gradually quit smoking over time, it’s just not easy.

    But, many say that hypnosis can take much of the difficulty out of the process to quit smoking.

    According to Fox, Hypnotherapist Ed Martin says it could be as simple as one or two sessions. Martin was once hopelessly addicted to cigarettes, but says he sought out hypnotherapy.

    The result of those sessions helped him to quit smoking, and he has since become a hypnotherapist so that he can help others.

    “I was smoking three packs a day,” Martin said of his beaten habit. “In the first session I stopped!”

    Martin says the power to quit smoking, or lose weight or control anxiety for that matter, is all in a person’s head and they have the power to control those impulses.

    “Everything in life is learned, habits, behavior. Everything is learned. We learn from things that happened to us in things we’ve learned. Then our subconscious learned it and it becomes automatic,” Martin said.

    Martin says it generally only takes one session to be able to quit smoking. During the session, he can pinpoint the “triggers” that make a person want to smoke.

    Then, they just quit smoking!

    “We have a session and they stop smoking,” he claims.

    It seems pretty amazing, but is it really true? With so many people around the country struggling to quit smoking, it seems like there should just be more to it than that!

  • Snow Tires: When And If They Should Be Put On

    Snow tires are great if you happen to live in a cold climate that sees a lot of snow and ice.

    They help with braking on slippery surfaces and keeping a grip on the road when driving in wintery weather, but when are you supposed to switch over to snow tires from regular tires?

    Carolyn Goard, communications manager with the TRAC, which represents Canadian tire manufacturers and importers, says that you should put them on about two weeks before snow is expected.

    Regular tires tend to harden in cold weather, making it harder for them to keep a grip on the road. Snow tires, made especially for all kinds of cold weather conditions, stay softer when the weather gets brutal.

    “There is nothing wrong with getting a head start and putting them on in, say, October,” Goard says. “Many people are pro-active about getting their winter tires on a bit earlier so that they are prepared when the first big snow comes.”

    However, she also cautioned against putting on the snow tires too early in the season, as it can cause unnecessary wear.

    “If your vehicle is wearing winter tires in the summer, or year-round, they are going to wear out a heck of a lot quicker because they are not manufactured to be used during the months other than the winter months,” Goard said.

    Also, apparently snow tires don’t perform as well as all-season tires when the weather isn’t cold. In tests by Consumer Reports, snow tires took an average of almost 23 feet further to stop from 60 mph on a dry track. On a wet track, it took snow tires over 40 feet further to stop.

    If you don’t live in an area that gets a ton of snow and wintery weather, it’s best to check with a local tire dealer for a recommendation on whether or not to use snow tires.

    If you’re looking for a particular show or network, however, simply using that network’s website’s streaming tools to view streaming TV is sometimes the way to go.

  • Michelle Rodriguez Talks “Furious 7”, Paul Walker

    Michelle Rodriguez was walking the carpet at Wednesday’s amFAR L.A. Inspiration Gala. She has a lot to celebrate these days with Saturday’s release of the new trailer for the latest Fast & Furious movie, Furious 7.

    The tough actress has been in all of the movies from the beginning, Fast & Furious in 2001, to Furious 7, which will be released in April of next year.

    In those 14 years, Michelle Rodriguez and the rest of the cast grew together as a family, as she told E! News on Wednesday.

    So, when Paul Walker died in a fiery car crash almost a year ago, Rodriguez was surely greatly affected.

    When asked what Paul would have said about the franchise coming to an end, she said,

    “He would gaze with his beautiful blue eyes and that wonderful, amazing, childlike smile that he would get whenever he’d have, like, a cargasm… [he] would just go from ear to ear, and he’d be like, ‘Finally, it’s in the f–king can!’”

    Rodriguez continued, “‘Cause that’s his whole thing, the entire franchise, after every single one,” Rodriguez said. She shrugged her shoulders, mimicking Walker, “‘I just don’t think it’s in the can yet.’ That was the ongoing thing.”

    Paul Walker’s brothers, Cody and Caleb, stepped in to finish filming the movie, but it most likely wasn’t the same for those that worked with him and loved him all those years.

    Diabetes Awareness Month Kicks Off

    Diabetes Awareness Month kicked off today as events across the nation were held to raise awareness of diabetes and the prevention of it.

    For example, one of the largest diabetes awareness walks in the nation was held today in Philidelphia.

    It was a cold and rainy day, but that didn’t stop the thousands of brave supporters who came out to walk a mile and try and help raise diabetes awareness. Those participating and watching were able to get valuable diabetes information and were also treated to a free concert when the diabetes awareness walk was over.

    “I’m so proud of the people that showed up today, despite the bad weather,” said one of the walkers.

    “It feels wonderful to be so supported by such a wonderful community.”

    Ann Meredith, the executive director of the American Diabetes Association, said, “Today, Philadelphia is officially declaring its independence from the diabetes epidemic.”

    Epidemic is definitely a fitting description.

    29.1 million people in the United States have been diagnosed with diabetes, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and many people are still unaware that diabetes can sometimes be delayed or even prevented.

    According to the CDC website,

    “Diabetes is a disease in which blood glucose levels are above normal. Most of the food we eat is turned into glucose, or sugar, for our bodies to use for energy. The pancreas, an organ that lies near the stomach, makes a hormone called insulin to help glucose get into the cells of our bodies. When you have diabetes, your body either doesn’t make enough insulin or can’t use its own insulin as well as it should. This causes sugar to build up in your blood.”

    Type 2 diabetes can be sometimes be prevented or delayed by losing weight, eating right, and maintaining a good exercise program.

    Hopefully, Diabetes Awareness Month will help to spread the word about how important diet and exercise is to maintaining a healthy life!

  • Miranda Cosgrove Lawsuit Allegedly Inflated

    Miranda Cosgrove has just filed paperwork to explain the lawsuit she has filed from the 2011 accident that left her with a broken ankle. The lawsuit claims that she is owed a huge amount of money to cover her losses.

    The former iCarly star was injured when her tour bus collided with a tractor trailer that was on the highway in front of them.

    Other occupants of Miranda Cosgrove’s tour bus, who were sleeping in the back, were unharmed.

    Miranda Cosgrove was sleeping on a couch near the front of the bus and her mother was near the front, as well.

    Therefore, the two of them suffered more serious injuries.

    “Miranda’s mom was on the bus with her and got really beaten up by the crash,” a source close to Miranda Cosgrove told People after the crash. “She’s expected to fully recover, but it’s scary because the driver was hurt, too, and he’s in really bad shape.”

    “This was a life-threatening crash,” the source continued, but the really serious injuries were to the bus driver.

    According to the same source, “A piece from the tractor-trailer went straight through the windshield and the driver’s arm was sliced all the way through.”

    It is this same bus driver who, along with the tractor trailer driver, is named in Miranda Cosgrove‘s case.

    Miranda Cosgrove is reportedly suing for damages because she says the accident derailed 25 booked concerts, which would have netted her nearly $400,000. She also claims that she lost another $560,000 in future shows, that Sony Music dumped her after the accident, and that she lost her $400,000 Neutrogena contract as a result of her injuries.

    However, the tractor trailer driver has reportedly said that he thinks Miranda Cosgrove exaggerated her $184,490.16 medical bill.

    This could cause the rest of Miranda Cosgrove’s claims to be under intense scrutiny, as well.

    Jessica Biel has been under a microscope for the last few months.

    Between her rumored troubled marriage with husband Justin Timberlake and his alleged cheating, Jessica Biel has likely been in every tabloid in the world.

    She is again making headlines, but at least this time, it is for a reported pregnancy.

    Jessica Biel was photographed with what appears to be a barely-there baby bump, which began a firestorm of rumors.

    However, Radar Online claims to have witnesses that are confirming Jessica Biel’s baby news for her.

    A source close to Jessica Biel reportedly stated to Radar, “Jessica is at least three months pregnant. And she’s due in April!”

    Another source that claims to have insider information said of Jessica Biel’s pregnancy, “Jessica has had tense times in the past when it comes to having a baby, so it is not surprising that she is staying mum on confirming the news publicly yet.”

    Jessica Biel is obviously well within her rights to keep the happy news to herself, but could an alleged pregnancy help explain away some of the actions that have fueled rumors of marriage trouble?

    For instance, rumors started flying when Jessica Biel didn’t accompany Justin Timberlake to some of his recent concerts and to his appearance on Saturday Night Live.

    “Justin was solo again at the Saturday Night Live after party and he stayed until nearly 5 a.m.,” a fellow partygoer reported to Radar. “Everyone was buzzing about her absence.”

    They continued, “She wasn’t with him at rehearsals on Friday either, which was sort of weird. And it’s not that Justin was flirting with other women or anything at the party but something just didn’t seem right. It was literally what everyone was talking about; whether he and Jessica have split.”

    Maybe Jessica Biel was dealing with some pregnancy issues. After all, a party isn’t a party when you can’t drink and you’re puking.

    Milla Jovovich Is Expecting A Baby Girl

    Milla Jovovich looked radiant on the red carpet for the amFAR LA Inspiration Gala on Wednesday.

    It did help that she was sporting Hollywood’s hottest accessory: a baby bump.

    Jovovich revealed to E! News that she is expecting her second baby girl.

    “We found out. We’re having a girl,” she excitedly told reporters.

    The Resident Evil actress and her husband, director Paul W. S. Anderson, announced that they were expecting again on Facebook back in August.

    In her post, Milla Jovovich revealed that the filming of the next Resident Evil would have to be postponed. She said of her pregnancy, “Between the stunt work and what will become my ever-expanding belly, we didn’t think pregnancy and zombie killing are the best combo! Lol!”

    She added, “I imagine the only thing I’ll be killing in the near future is an endless supply of cupcakes. Yikes…”

    Jovovich also said, “In all seriousness though, we want to make the best movie possible and that would be extremely difficult, to say the least, in my present condition.”

    Jovovich and Paul W. S. Anderson are already parents to Ever Gabo Anderson, who was hoping she was going to get a little sister.

    “I don’t know what we would have done if the baby was a boy,” Jovovich said.

    Ever is being as thrifty as a little girl can be when helping her mother plan for her new baby sister.

    “She keeps saying, ‘Don’t get her anything new. She can wear all my clothes,’” Jovovich said of her daughter.

    Jovovich then added with a laugh, “She’s so economical.”

  • Obamacare In Trouble If Senate Goes Republican

    Obamacare, also known as the Affordable Care Act (or ACA), has a pretty sketchy future should the elections next week yield a Republican Senate.

    This could make things a lot easier for opponents of the controversial Obamacare law.

    Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) revealed that, unsurprisingly, his aim is focused on getting rid of Obamacare. If Republicans take over the Senate after next week’s elections, McConnell will likely take over as Senate Majority Leader.

    This will allow him much greater power to wield against Obamacare, although he acknowledges a full repeal will be impossible while Obama is still seated in The White House.

    “Obviously, he’s not going to sign a full repeal,” McConnell said to Fox News.

    The GOP’s focus will likely be on the more controversial pieces of Obamacare for now.

    “There are pieces of (Obamacare) that are extremely unpopular with the American public that the Senate ought to have a chance to vote on,” McConnell said.

    Brian Gottlieb, a Republican strategist for Purple Strategies, agrees, saying, “I believe the GOP will bring up the controversial pieces of Obamacare and force Democrats to take tough votes. Issues like the employer mandate and the medical device tax will certainly come up for votes.”

    Obamacare could be facing a decline when it comes to young healthy people, who were supposed to be the backbone of Obamacare. Many are now looking into new alternatives like short-term health plans that cost half as much as exchange plans.

    “If the ObamaCare health insurance exchanges are to function properly, it is crucial that a substantial number of people ages 18-34 join them,” the National Center for Public Policy Research wrote in a study last year.

    They continued, “This age group that is young and relatively healthy must purchase health insurance on the exchanges in order to ‘cross-subsidize’ people who are older and sicker. Without the young and healthy, the exchanges will enter a ‘death spiral’ where only the older and sicker participate and price of insurance premiums will increase precipitously.”

    However, it seems clear that the GOP will only be biding its time picking out pieces of Obamacare to trash until Obama is out of office.

    However, Rep. Steve King (R-IA) told The Daily Beast on Tuesday that he thinks that the GOP should continue voting to repeal the law.

    He said the focus should be to set an agenda for Obamacare in 2016.

    “It’s not so much about what could be passed but setting the agenda and debate for the next presidential race,” he said.

  • Audrina Patridge And Corey Bohan: Together Or Not?

    Audrina Patridge and Corey Bohan have been in a seemingly casual on-again off-again relationship for around five years now. The couple seemed to be back together as they attended Matthew Morrison’s annual Halloween bash at Hyde nightclub in West Hollywood on Saturday.

    But, Audrina Patridge didn’t have a very fun night. She was spotted outside the party, sobbing and yelling at Bohan, as they waited for a ride.

    A source told E! news, “Audrina and Corey were fighting outside the club while waiting for an Uber.”

    “Their Uber took 30 minutes and Audrina cried the entire time. Corey just sat there while Audrina yelled at him. Occasionally he would say something, but it seemed as if he just wanted to get out of there,” the insider continued.

    Wow. That’s awkward.

    While the scene was probably kind of a downer for those nearby who were trying to enjoy a frightfully good party, it seemed especially heartbreaking for Audrina Patridge.

    There is no news on the status of the relationship or what the fight was about, but many speculate that it was most likely over Bohan’s continual lack of interest in making a commitment to Audrina Patridge.

    “They are always going back and forth,” the source tells Us of Audrina Patridge and Corey Bohan. “Audrina is still in love with him, and they still hang out, but he is a total player and messes with her mentally.     The source said of Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett’s intentions for that trip, “They are trying to keep family life as normal as possible for the kids, which means keeping a united front so there’s as little disruption for the kids.”

    Kendra Wilkinson is taking her time and trying to make a rational decision regarding whether or not to leave Baskett over his affair with a transexual model.

    After the couple became engaged, Seewald told People, “We have most of our planning done. When you’re planning a wedding, you can make it complicated or make it simple, and we are trying to make ours simple. There are some things that have to be done right before the wedding, but for the most part, we’re ready.”

  • Kat Von D: Is She Entitled To Media Lash Out?

    Kat Von D suffered a huge loss on Thursday morning.

    Around 4 am, Firefighters responded to a fire alarm on the 1200 block of North La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles.

    In a single-story strip mall, Kat Von D’s tattoo parlor, High Voltage, and Trendsetters barber shop burned for about half an hour. It was enough to for the two shops to be red-tagged, meaning they are unsafe for occupation.

    Firefighters did their best to carry out and save things of value from Kat Von D’s tattoo shop, but the damage tally of what was left is still unknown.

    As news crews crowded around the scene, Kat Von D made it clear that she didn’t want to be hassled after her traumatic morning.

    Kat Von D lashed out at reporters, saying, “Stop, stop. Seriously? You guys. Have some f*****g respect. Seriously? Do you feel better about yourself?… F*****g idiot!”

    Things escalated quickly from there as reporters continued to ask questions after Kat Von D insisted that they stop.

    As reporters informed her that they were just doing their job, Kat Von D got a little more belligerent. She even lashed out at a nearby woman.

    “No, no. This isn’t a job!… Your mother should be embarrassed. So should you — you’re a woman… Terrible!”

    Then, when one reporter said she was terrible for attacking the woman, Kat Von D responded, “No! F**k off, dude!”

    The reaction from Kat Von D has spawned a lot of discussion across the web as to whether or not Kat Von D was in the right. On one hand, the reporters ignored her insistence that they leave her alone to deal with the loss of her tattoo shop.

    On the other hand, the reporters were just doing their job.

  • iPad Mini 3: Most Underwhelming Apple Update Ever?

    The iPad Mini 3 is being touted as, at best, a very anti-climactic update, and at worst, a brutal evisceration of the iPad Mini line.

    The iPad Mini 3 was doomed to struggle in the shadows of the new iPad Air 2 and the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, but its cool reception has some wondering just how long Apple can keep the iPad Mini line afloat.

    “I think Apple is either being very lazy, or it’s throwing the iPad Mini under the bus,” Sebastian Anthony, senior editor of ExtremeTech, told Foxnews.com.

    He added, “The most likely reason is…[it’s] trying to create a bit of a gap between the products. There’s now a clearer [separation] between the iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 3, and iPhone 6 Plus,” he said.

    It’s quite possible that Apple is ready to follow Steve Jobs’ sense of direction and go ahead with letting the iPad Mini 3 lead the way to making the iPad Mini obsolete.

    Jobs said back in 2010, “The 7-inch tablets are tweeners, too big to compete with a smartphone and too small to compete with an iPad.”

    He just might be on to something. The new iPhone 6 Plus, with its 5.5-inch screen, kind of does away with the need for the iPad Mini 3. The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus belong essentially to that ever-growing category of “phablet”, after all.

    Bob O’Donnell, Chief Analyst of Technalysis Research marketing research firm in California, explained, “The Mini 3 is a very modest update because Apple recognizes that larger smartphones like the iPhone 6 Plus are likely to cannibalize the iPad Mini.”

    Besides, as far as budget-conscious consumers are concerned, it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to spring for the new iPad Mini 3, at around $400, when you can now get the iPad Mini 2, which is entirely adequate, for around $300. The new iPad Mini 3 has a gold trim option and Touch ID, but beyond that, no stellar improvements over the iPad Mini 2.
