That’s not the only time that Sophie Turner has spoken about season six of Game of Thrones.
At the SAG Awards, she disclosed, “I mean this season is a really, really big one for Sansa. It’s probably her best season yet. It’s her really coming into her own.”
She added, “She, this season, really commands the respect that she deserves and she grabs hold of it and she runs with it and it’s really good.”
Well, apparently she runs all the way to season seven with it.
Sophie Turner also said that in season six fans are “finally getting that storyline that you’ve been craving for the past five seasons.”
She added, “It was amazing because the past five seasons, it feels like it’s been building up and up to that. You can only suffer so much before she finally gets her, the respect that she deserves.”

Sean Lennon says Yoko Ono, 83, is just fine after a bit of a scare and a short hospital stay.
Originally rumors circulated that the artist, singer and widow of John Lennon had a stroke, but Sean Lennon was quick to put those rumors to rest.
Sean Lennon wrote on Twitter, “Hey guys it was only rumors from press: was NOT a stroke, just dehydration/tired. She is FINE. Thank you everyone for your concern @yokoono”
In a follow up tweet, Sean Lennon experimented with a little word play, saying, “Only stroke @yokoono had was a Stroke of Genius! 🙂 She’s really fine. Thanks for all the well wishes! Big Love, Sean”
Yoko Ono had been really busy lately working on her new album called Yes, I’m a Witch Too with big name stars who helped fashion remixes of some of her old hits.
Collaborators included Death Cab for Cutie, Moby and Sean Lennon himself.
Perhaps the work on the album and its release last week was a little exhausting for the octogenarian icon?
Abraham Attah, the Ghana-born 15-year-old actor who broke out last year in Beasts of No Nation, was one classy dude this past weekend as he accepted the Best Male Lead award at Saturday’s Independent Spirit Awards and presented at Sunday’s Oscars.
Abraham Attah plays a young warrior in the film, which is his first role ever, but he sure cleans up nice and speaks eloquently.
At the Independent Spirit Awards, Abraham Attah wore a blue tux with a blue and white bowtie. He complemented the look with an amazing pair of blue suede shoes.
Earlier in the show, he was pulled on stage by co-star Idris Elba, who was accepting the award for Best Supporting Male.

Abraham Attah was very gracious in thanking the people he worked with when it was his turn for the spotlight.

At Sunday’s Oscar ceremony, Abraham Attah, after receiving a boost from Chris Rock, said, “The nominees this year show that when it comes to making an impact on the big screen, size really doesn’t matter.”

Then the cast stares pointedly into the camera for long enough to make an uncomfortable point.
Fuller House creator Jeff Franklin was not happy that the Olsen twins couldn’t fit at least one show appearance into their schedule.
He said, “That was a giant bummer, but their participation was never a precondition for doing that show. I hoped that they would come back and do one episode, but I didn’t think that they were going to be regulars.”
Michelle Obama waved a bittersweet goodbye to the In Performance at the White House PBS series.
Barak and Michelle Obama’s time at hosting the event has come to an end, and they went out with a bang.
Michelle Obama made special guests of groups of student musicians at the event, which highlighted the late Ray Charles and the enormous impact he had on music.
Before the filming of the special Smithsonian Salutes Ray Charles: In Performance at the White House, Michelle Obama spoke to the students in an effort to inspire them to keep reaching for their dreams no matter what obstacles they had to overcome.

She said, “The reason we invited you all here today is we wanted you all to understand that no matter who you are or what challenges you face, you all have the power to get from those seats down there to these seats up here or anywhere else you want to go in the world. But it’s going to take some real effort on your part.”
Michelle Obama then praised the importance of failure along the way and assured them that it is all part of the journey.
She added, “Failure is a key part of success. You don’t get here [gesturing to musicians on stage with her] unless you fail real bad, real big and real hard somewhere. And that includes my husband, the president of the United States. The question is how do you get back up from those failures.”

Rooney Mara has played some pretty incredible roles over the years since her breakout role in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
That role rocketed her to stardom and Rooney Mara hasn’t stopped yet.
Rooney Mara is now up for a Best Supporting Actress Oscar at Sunday’s ceremony for her delicate role in Carol opposite the great Cate Blanchett.
Carol is a lesbian romance between a middle-age socialite and a young department store clerk. It is set in the early 1950’s, when lesbian romances were quite taboo.
In an interview with Deadline earlier this week, Rooney Mara revealed her two favorite scenes from the film. Both of them were quiet, intimate scenes with Blanchett.
She said, “The first one is where Carol and Therese have lunch together for the first time. That was the first scene we got to do together where we really had a back-and-forth. We had the whole day to shoot, which was a luxury given our schedule and we did the scene in its entirety.”
She continued, “Someone [on set] observed, ‘That was like playing tennis with someone really good.’ Yeah, it’s like playing tennis with the best tennis player. It was like being in a play.”
She added, “The second scene is the one that bookends the film when we’re having tea. That was another scene we got to do in long takes. There was so much subtlety and nuance going on.”
Mark Zuckerberg admitted on Friday that Facebook recognizes, and will be doing more to counteract, hate speech against migrants.
In September, Mark Zuckerberg met with German Chancellor Angela Merkel about ongoing hate speech issues in Germany.
The meeting Friday was in response to anti-migrant Facebook posts by neo-Nazi sympathizers that have made their way onto the social media platform since Facebook was made available in their country.
Mark Zuckerburg said on Friday, “Learning more about German culture and German law has led us to change our approach on that. This is always a work in progress. I’m not going to claim up here today that we’re perfect, we’re definitely not.”

Hopefully all of the actions taken by Mark Zuckerberg will help slow the flow of all kinds of hate speech on the immensely popular social media platform.
At our Townhall Q&A in Berlin, someone asked why Priscilla and I plan to give away 99% of our Facebook shares. I talked about our hopes for improving education, curing disease and building stronger communities.
Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg expressed similar sentiments with Mark Zuckerberg and said of the initiative, “We have repeatedly emphasized that Facebook is no place for the dissemination of xenophobia, hate speech or calls for violence.”
She added, “With this new initiative, we are convinced to better understand and respond to the challenges of extremist speech on the internet.”

Plus-size fashion model Ashley Graham famously turned the tides this year when she recently graced the cover of Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue.
Ashley Graham is only one of the plus-size fashion models who are bringing about change in the fashion industry and generally how physical beauty is perceived.
However, former model Cheryl Tiegs, who has done a few Sports Illustrated covers herself in the past, says she doesn’t like the message putting a plus-size fashion model on the cover sends.
When asked about the cover, Tiegs said, “I don’t like that we’re talking about full-figured women, because it’s glamorizing them, because your waist should be smaller than 35 inches.”
She added, “That’s what Dr. Oz said, and I’m sticking to it.”
Ashley Graham is proud of what she has done and how people have rallied behind her.

While Ashley Graham may have drawn criticism from Cheryl Tiegs, it likely didn’t get under her skin.
She said recently, “I had agents tell me, ‘You’ll never get on the cover of magazines. You’ll never be an editorial model. I had agents wave money in my face and say, ‘If you drop some pounds, you can have a lot more of this!’ And not even THAT was something that encouraged me to lose weight!”
She continued, “The moment I realized I had to be healthy and happy in who I was, that’s when my career took off.”
By the way, Ashley Graham has a 30″ waist, according to her IMG page, so there’s that.

David Bowie tributes have been the centerpiece of two major awards shows now, one earning what seemed like disgust and another earning praise from his son, Duncan Jones.
The Lady Gaga tribute at this year’s Grammys included a technicolor-splashed grand bouquet of weirdness accompanied by David Bowie’s hits, mostly from the 70’s and 80’s. None from the new, critically-acclaimed Blackstar.
It seemed Lada Gaga was too busy with costume changes and rushing through a thousand choruses of David Bowie‘s biggest hits to really pull off a classy tribute.
She was too busy trying to “become” David Bowie to really experience, and help the audience experience, a true appreciation for all that he brought to the world of music and performance.
However, a classy musical performance by a band that played with David Bowie for a long time and Lorde, who sang Bowie’s 1971 hit “Life On Mars”, captured Duncan Jones’ fancy so much so that he shared the link on Twitter.
Terry Crews, super-fit star of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, has made a shocking admission to his “Facebook family”.
It seems Terry Crews was once addicted to pornography. He even had to go to rehab for it.
Now, Terry Crews is sharing the video and his story to help others who may be struggling.
In the video he says, “For years, years, years, my dirty little secret was that I was addicted to pornography. It really, really messed up my life in a lot of ways.”
Terry Crews said his addiction began at the age of 12.
Terry Crews also explained how much going to rehab and getting the help he needed has changed his life for the better.
He said, “Once I got into therapy and started learning about guilt and shame, and the fact that shame tells you you are bad as opposed to something you did was wrong, I found that there was no way out of that.”
He added, “Once you believe that you’re bad, then all of a sudden every decision you make in your life kinda goes by that.”
Terry Crews posted a follow-up video because he said a lot of people were asking him about how to overcome pornography addiction after the initial “Dirty Little Secret” post.
Norman Reedus made the talk show rounds like a zombie-killing boss this week to promote The Walking Dead (as if it needed promoting).
Along the way, Norman Reedus was kind enough to share two hilarious stories.
On Jimmy Kimmel Live, Norman Reedus gave his version of the famous biting fan story from December of last year.
Norman Reedus said, “We took a picture, right? She started off—she came out and said, ‘Sometimes I like to pretend we’re married.’ And I went, ‘Oh, OK. Cool.’”
He continued, “And to tell you the truth I was so tired at the point I didn’t really register she said that.”

Then he said she began shaking and howling, then “came down and bit me on the breast, the chest.”
He continued, “I kind of went, ‘Ow,’ and Michael Rooker was there and he went, ‘What the f—k was that?’ And then a couple of nice officers tackled her to the ground.”
He added, “She was escorted out and she came outside and she goes, ‘What happened?’ And then they said, ‘Ma’am you just bit Norman,’ and she goes, ‘I did?’”
On Wednesday night, Norman Reedus gave James Corden a glimpse into the ongoing (one-sided) prank war between him and Andrew Lincoln.
Apparently, the whole thing began when a fan sent Norman Reedus a super fancy Daryl Dixon license plate. He put it onto Lincoln’s car undetected. Lincoln drove the car for months before he noticed. Then he swore he would get Reedus back.
Norman Reedus continued, “He was trying to plot, but he’s really bad at it to be honest. So the last day of shooting for this latest season, he walked into his trailer and I’d filled it full of chickens.”
Corden remarked, “You filled his trailer full of chickens? Hold on, you were trying to get him back for something he hadn’t done yet?”

Celine Dion returned to her residency in Las Vegas without her husband for her first performance on Tuesday.
Understandably, the event wasn’t without some serious emotion from Celine Dion, whose husband died on January 15th after a long battle with cancer.
Celine Dion‘s performance began after a photo montage video featuring her life with Rene Angelil and their sons, Rene-Charles, 15, and twins Eddy and Nelson, 5.
After her first song, Celine Dion, spoke to the audience on a very personal level.
She said, “Through my life, I only had eyes for my husband, who sat out here night after night. People thought that I was looking at him actually, but I didn’t need to because every time I closed my eyes I felt Rene on stage with me.”
She continued, “Whether he was seated in his seat right there, in the balcony, backstage or at home with the kids, he’s always been onstage with me and nothing will ever change that.”
Celine Dion, with teary eyes, spoke of the care that Rene showed to here through their 21-year marriage.
She added, “Rene always surrounded me with the very best people possible. I trusted him so much that I never really had the chance to worry about anything. Now I guess, it is only a natural impulse to constantly question myself. ‘Would you let the kids play with these toys? Is this song too fast? Is this song too slow? Don’t talk too much?’”
Such sweet sentiment from Celine Dion. Rene Angelil began managing Dion’s career before she was a teenager and they announced that they were romantically involved when she was 19.

But, the whole episode was centered around his 2011 meltdown, the subsequent years of bizarre behavior and the possibility that steroids, alcohol and drugs all played a role.
Emma Coronel, the stunning 26-year-old former beauty queen who is married to Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, is terrified for his life.
El Chapo has been held in solitary confinement at El Altiplano prison since his January 8th arrest. The arrest was made after the last of his handful of embarrassing escapes from Mexican prisons.
Now, Emma Coronel believes those in charge of El Chapo will do whatever it takes to avoid another escape and subsequent humiliation.

She said, “They want to make him pay for his escape. They say that they are not punishing him. Of course they are. They are there with him, watching him in his cell. They are right there, all day long, calling attendance. They don’t let him sleep. He has no privacy, not even to go to the restroom.”
In addition to that, she says he is “slowly being tortured.”
She added, “I am afraid for his life.”
He reportedly also suffers from high blood pressure. She knows they won’t let him out of their sight anytime soon.
Emma Coronel may be scared for El Chapo, but she is used to the cartel life. She likely knew what to expect when she married him at the tender age of 18. He was 47 years old, but she was the daughter of drug kingpin Igancio “Nacho” Coronel, now deceased.
Nacho was a key member of the Sinaloa Cartel and one of El Chapo’s right hand men. He was killed in a shootout with the Mexican army back in 2010.
Emma Coronel is also worried about the safety of her twin daughters with Guzman, only two of the rumored 19 children he has fathered. However, she claims she has never experienced violence, physical or verbal, from her king pin husband.
She said, “He is like any other man — of course he is not violent, not rude. I have never heard him say a bad word. I have never seen him get excited or be upset at anyone.”

Colon cancer and breast cancer are the two most common cancer killers.
Colon cancer or breast cancer are not words that anyone wants to hear from their doctor, although the overall numbers for cancer deaths have dropped.
However, according to a new report from the American Cancer Society, there is still a surprising racial difference in the number of deaths and survivors.
Dr. Otis Brawley, chief medical officer of the American Cancer Society, confirmed this, saying, “There’s been a dramatic decline in mortality for cancer for all groups. The decline is steeper for blacks than whites, but there is still a black-white disparity.”

A great example of this is the mortality rate for breast cancer, which has also drastically declined overall, but much more in white females. The gap in mortality rates has significantly widened.
In fact, those numbers have dropped 23 percent in black women, but a whopping 37 percent in white women since 1990.
Brawley said of the trend, “Breast cancer in women is the most fascinating pattern because you have dramatic declines for blacks and whites, however the black-white disparity is greater today than it was in 2000, and it was greater in 2000 than it was in 1990, and it did not exist in 1980.”
Colon cancer mortality disparities among white and black men also continue to widen. From 2003 to 2012, the death rate from colon cancer declined more slowly in black men. In fact, in black men it declined 2.5 percent. In white me, it was 3 percent.
The death rate remains 50 percent higher in blacks than in whites since 2005.
So just what is going on here?
Dr. Roshan Bastani, director of Cancer Disparities Research at the UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, said, “It’s a combination perhaps of some genetics, risk factors such as nutrition and physical activity, and also less access to state-of-the-art early detection and treatment (for blacks).”
Speaking of early detection, those who are 50 years and older who have no symptoms and who are not at a high risk for colon cancer could be in for a change. Based on the latest research The Canadian Task Force on Preventive Health now recommends forgoing a colonoscopy for a simple fecal test for microscopic blood instead.
Reportedly, research showed that a colonoscopy was not any more effective at detecting early colon cancer than stool tests.
It remains to be seen if this new recommendation will be taken to heart in the U.S.

Better Call Saul has only just dipped the toe into the second season and fans are already intrigued about the new character, Pryce, played by Mark Proksch.
Of course, in one hilarious turn of events, it is mentioned on Better Call Saul that Pryce once made erotic “Squat Cobbler” videos in which he sits in different pies and cries for the enjoyment of a wealthy and gross man.
Now fans of Better Call Saul want to know: Are we going to get to see these Squat Cobbler videos?
When Better Call Saul‘s Mark Proksch, himself, was asked about the possibility, he said, “It’s something I know people will want to see, and Vince [Gilligan] and [executive producer Peter Gould] have hinted on the podcast that you may somehow, some way, at some point, get to see them – if they do indeed exist.”
He added, “I will say this, though. If they do exist, they’ll be some of the most disturbing things you will ever see.”
Undoubtedly. But we still want to. And it seems Proksch could be just fearless enough to pull it off. I mean, before finding fame on Better Call Saul and The Office, he sort of made a name for himself by making viral videos of himself crashing newscasts as a fake yo-yo champion.
When he was asked if he was up to the task and if those yo-yo videos have helped his career, he replied, “Kind of. That’s how I got on The Office. For Saul, I auditioned, and later Vince and Peter found out about the videos through Bob Odenkirk, and they loved them. So yeah, those videos have really paid off.”
Zephany Nurse and the case of her disappearance has captivated the whole of South Africa and people across the world.
Also known as South Africa‘s Madeleine McCann, Zephany Nurse is the name given her at birth by her biological mother, Celeste. But, the name she now uses has been concealed to protect her.
Celeste Nurse gave birth to Zephany Nurse on April 27th, 1997, by emergency C-section. She was only 18 years old. Three days later she was still recovering, heavily medicated and drowsy. Celeste encountered a woman who offered to soothe her baby for her.
The woman was wearing a nurse uniform.
She said, “The child was crying and there was a person sitting at the door. I couldn’t function properly because I was under medication.”
She continued, “The woman said to me ‘your baby is crying.’ She asked me if she could pick up the child, I said she could and that’s all I can remember.”
Celeste said she was later woken up by a different nurse. She said that this nurse was “frantically” asking her, “Where is your child?”
She added, “I said, ‘the nurse was just here with the baby.’ The two of us then ran through the hospital, along every floor, but the child was missing, nowhere to be found. She was gone, just gone.”
She then broke down as she recalled how she chose the name Zephany Nurse for her new baby girl.
The woman accused of kidnapping Zephany Nurse said that she had several miscarriages. After her third miscarriage in December of 1996, she ran into a woman who called herself Sylvia at the hospital where she sought treatment. She said the woman claimed that she could help with fertility or adoption.
She paid Sylvia and began treatment. After the fertility treatments failed, the woman accused of kidnapping Zephany Nurse told the mystery woman that she was interested in adopting.
Earlier this week, the woman testified to the events, saying, “In April 1997 I received a call from her (Sylvia). She advised me a young girl was not interested in keeping her baby and wanted to give the baby up for adoption.”
They made arrangements to meet at the Wynberg train station.
When she arrived Sylvia was not there. However, another mystery woman approached her with a baby in her arms.
She said, “She informed me that the baby was from Sylvia. I was taken by surprise as I was expecting to meet Sylvia and not for a baby to be handed over to me.”
She continued, “I had a bad feeling something was wrong. She promised I would be present when the baby was born, and this did not happen. I sat on a bench at the hospital looking at the baby and had no idea what to do. I recall noticing a pin still attached to her umbilical cord. I thought about abandoning the baby at the hospital. I thought I did not tell my family about the miscarriage, so I decided I will tell them it was my baby.”
The accused woman has pleaded not guilty to kidnapping Zephany Nurse.

Ryan Sweeting and Kaley Cuoco called it quits in the fall of last year after only a little over two years of marriage.
The divorce from Ryan Sweeting was shocking and unexpected as the couple seemed really happy and in love, but some things are just not meant to be.
Kaley Cuoco explained to Ellen Degeneres that sometimes, things are just weird.
She said of her divorce from Ryan Sweeting, “We all go through really weird ups and down, and sometimes I’m a little more seen. You know, so I already feel like 2016 is going to be a much better year than 2015.”
When asked how she was doing after splitting from Ryan Sweeting, she said, “You know, it’s been rough, but things are going good. I’m much, much better now. I’m in a much better place than I was.”
Cuoco then revealed that she had to get an extensive tattoo to cover up the large wedding date that she had tattooed on her back.

The tattoo was of a moth, and this drew a few giggles and smirks from the crowd and Ellen.
Cuoco was casual about the giant moth on her back, and says it was just what she picked out when she got there. She picked it for the largeness of its wings.

Rooney Mara played a spectacular Tiger Lily in last year’s Pan. Her talent, air of mystery and ability to conjure a sense of childhood wonder were spot on.
Pan was great, yet Rooney Mara regrets playing the role.
The role of Tiger Lily was hotly debated last year after accusations of “whitewashing” were leveled against Pan director Joe White.
Obviously, in the original Disney film Tiger Lily is a Native American princess. However, in the book, the native tribe’s race is not specified.
She told Telegraph, “I really hate, hate, hate that I am on that side of the whitewashing conversation. I really do. I don’t ever want to be on that side of it again. I can understand why people were upset and frustrated.”
She continued, “Do I think all of the four main people in the film should have been white with blonde hair and blue eyes? No.”
But, Rooney Mara added that “there should have been some diversity somewhere.”
However, in an interview with Deadline, Rooney Mara explains that Joe White’s intentions were never to whitewash. In fact, it was just the opposite. He was trying to create a tribe of mixed races all living together.
She said, “It was Joe’s pure desire to make the natives a conglomeration of many different cultures and indigenous people. To make them people of the world. He wanted them to be natives of planet Earth. I thought that was a really beautiful intention of his.”
She added, “That being said, I understand the anger about whitewashing. I completely do, and I agree with it.”

Glenn Beck has been on the campaign trail stumping for Ted Cruz since he came out and endorsed him last month.
Not only is Glenn Beck lending his celebrity presence and ringing endorsement, he has also been toting along a copy of Don Quixote the he says belonged to George Washington.
According to Glenn Beck, the copy was allegedly bought on the same day Washington signed the Constitution of the United States.
Glenn Beck has compared Ted Cruz to George Washington on more than one occasion, beginning with the announcement of his endorsement.
He said, “We need a new George Washington. Today’s Washington will not be found in the garish light of gold, but rather, in the bold service of a man who stands tirelessly for what he deeply believes: That government should be of the people, by the people, and for the people. That is why I am endorsing Senator Ted Cruz as the next President of the United States of America.”
At a campaign stop in Ames, Iowa on January 30th he said, “He [George Washington] wrote two lines [in his diary] on the day of the signing of the Constitution. First line: ‘Signed the Constitution today.’ Second line: ‘I pick up my copy of Don Quixote.’ This is his copy of Don Quixote that he picked up that day.”
He also said on that campaign stop, “I brought it because here’s the most amazing thing anybody had ever done, but he had such confidence in it. He knew the brighter days for all mankind – not just America, all mankind – were just on the horizon. He had done his job and he could sleep at night.”
However, that claim is now in question as Mt. Vernon, George Washington’s former home and now museum, says they have George Washington’s copy of Don Quixote safely stored away with other rare books.

Detore also revealed that her and Big Ang made a pact before her death to care for each other’s kids and grandkids should anything happen to either one of them and indicated that she intended to keep that pact.
In fact, Detore’s daughter and Big Ang’s neice also shared some of her speech honoring her aunt on Instagram.

It read, in part, “I truly believe everything happens for a reason and now I believe that AJ, Gabby, Angelina, and Robert are living at my house because that’s where you would want them to be. I’m so grateful to have a part of you during this difficult time.”
It went on, “I see you in Angelina so much especially when she asks us to put rollers in her hair. Angelina is just like you she knocks on my door, sits at my vanity, puts red lipstick on with my red wig and dances around.”
