  • Bill Cosby: Standing Ovations While Prostests Rage

    Bill Cosby is continuing his comedy tour despite the recent scandals that plague him.

    On Saturday at the Buell Theater in Denver, Cosby performed two shows with each lasting over an hour and a half.

    The shows commenced with Bill Cosby walking on stage in a sweatshirt that said “Hello Friend”.

    The aging comic talked, as usual, about life and parenthood.

    All the while protests raged outside.

    One of the most recent in the line of women who have accused Bill Cosby of rape stood outside with famed attorney Gloria Allred and a small army of protesters.

    Beth Ferrier, a Denver resident, told her story at a rally earlier that day.

    Ferrier told her story to People after she decided to come clean in 2005.

    After having coffee with Bill Cosby in his dressing room in the mid-80’s, she said, “I woke up in my car in the parking lot with my clothes all a mess, I was definitely drugged. All I had to drink was coffee and the room was spinning. I wondered, I still wonder, ‘What did he do with me? Why was my bra unhooked? What happened?’ ”

    So, I assume she shared a similar version with protesters in Denver before Bill Cosby‘s show on Saturday.

    Allred told the crowd of protesters, “It’s an important day because Bill Cosby has the chutzpah – the guts – to come to Denver, of all places, to perform and to treat these allegations as a joke.”

    Despite the disturbance outside, Bill Cosby fans gave him a standing ovation after his shows wrapped up. In return, Bill Cosby offered a salute and his thanks.

  • Charlie Hebdo: Shy Press “Insulting The Citizenship”

    Charlie Hebdo‘s editor in chief, Gérard Biard, went on Sunday’s Meet the Press to discuss the effect that the terrorist attacks on their office in Paris earlier this month have had on media.

    In addition to that, many wanted to compare Charlie Hebdo‘s strength in the aftermath to the seeming weakness of many other media outlets.

    After the attack, much of the press declined to show a photo of the cartoon that sparked the bloodshed at the headquarters of Charlie Hebdo.

    In Gerard Biard’s opinion, “When they refuse to publish this cartoon … they blur out democracy, secularism, freedom of religion, and they insult the citizenship.”

    Some may agree with Biard’s opinion that when religion shouldn’t become a political discussion, but many side with the Pope who said no one should insult anyone else’s faith.

    The Pope said recently of the Charlie Hebdo situation, “one cannot provoke, one cannot insult other people’s faith, one cannot make fun of faith. There is a limit. Every religion has its dignity … in freedom of expression there are limits.”

    He added, “If my good friend Dr Gasparri says a curse word against my mother, he can expect a punch. It’s normal. It’s normal. You cannot provoke. You cannot insult the faith of others. You cannot make fun of the faith of others.”

    Then there are those who believe in the right to free speech, plain and simple.

    For example, in defense of Charlie Hebdo, Polly Toynbee from The Guardian had this to say, and she makes a pretty good point, “Charlie Hebdo’s cover will no doubt offend some Muslims – and possibly provoke some. That’s the role of a satirical magazine: to stick two fingers up to propriety. It is a belch in the face of established taste and dignity.”

    She conitnued, “You can buy it or not, find it funny or not. Its previous circulation was small, but knowing anything can be said keeps the outer edges of free expression healthy.”

  • Scarlett Johansson: It’s A Week Of Highs And Lows

    Scarlett Johansson has had a busy week!

    The beautiful starlet has signed on to reprise her Black Widow role in the upcoming film, Captain America: Civil War.

    Scarlett Johansson isn’t the only one to have been confirmed to return for the third movie in the Captain America franchise.

    Chris Evans will return in his role as Captain America, of course. I mean, who else?

    Sebastian Stan will also return as the Winter Soldier and it is reported that Robert Downey, Jr. will bring his Iron Man character to the film.

    Black Widow fans had feared that Scarlett Johansson’s character wouldn’t get a ton of screen time in Civil War, but it seems those fears are unfounded.

    Directors Joe and Anthony Russo said, ”We’ve been preparing for the movie since the one debuted last year. So, we’ve been working on it for a long time now.”

    They continued, ”We’re very happy how it’s coming along… It’s going to star Chris Evans as Captain America, Scarlett Johansson will be back, Winter Soldier will be back, and Robert Downey, Jr. as Iron Man will also be joining us in the next film.”

    So exciting for Scarlett Johansson!

    She was also picked up this week for a starring role in the live action adaptation of the immensely popular Japanese comic series, Ghost in the Shell.

    Fans aren’t as excited about that announcement, however.

    While Scarlett Johansson has more than proven her chops as an action star, critics of the idea say that an Asian actress should have been chosen. Fans are so upset that they started an online petition demanding that she be removed from the role.

    It states, “The original film is set in Japan, and the major cast members are Japanese… So why would the American remake star a white actress? The industry is already unfriendly to Asian actors without roles in major films being changed to exclude them.”

    The petition continues, “DreamWorks could be using this film to help provide opportunities for Asian-American actors in a market with few opportunities for them to shine. Please sign the petition asking them to reconsider casting Scarlett Johansson in Ghost in the Shell and select actors who are truer to the cast of the original film!”

    So, Scarlett Johansson may not remain in Ghost in the Shell if fans have their way, but we can at least look forward to seeing much more of her as Black Widow in the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron film, as well as in Captain America: Civil War.

  • Emily Blunt To Be In “Huntsman” Sequel

    Emily Blunt To Be In “Huntsman” Sequel

    Emily Blunt is in negotiations to join the cast of the upcoming sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman, titled simply, The Huntsman.

    Snow White and the Huntsman was released in 2012 and starred Kristin Stewart as Snow White, Chris Hemsworth as the huntsman, and Charlize Theron as Ravenna, the evil queen.

    Emily Blunt will star as Ravenna’s sister, an evil ice queen.

    The Huntsman will reportedly follow Hemsworth as he is sent on a quest to find the magic mirror. He will confront some aspects of his past as well as the angry ice queen, who is seeking revenge for her sister’s death.

    The film has had a few bumps along the way, including the loss of a director. Frank Darabont left amid reports of creative differences, but Universal is expected to hire a new director this week.

    Frank Darabont was also fired from The Walking Dead after a clash with AMC. He subsequently sued the network for profits he said he lost.

    Darabont was the director on hits like The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile. He also directed big-screen flop The Mist

    Joe Roth will be the producer, with Palak Patel as the executive producer.

    The Huntsman is slated to release in April of 2016.

    Emily Blunt is coming right off of her success playing the baker’s wife in the highly successful film, Into the Woods.

    She also recently starred alongside Tom Cruise in Edge of Tomorrow and had a role in the recently wrapped crime drama Sicario.

    After Emily Blunt’s amazing performance in Into the Woods, I will be excited to see what kind of malice she can bring to the screen in The Huntsman.

  • Scarlett Johansson Too White For Anime Adaptation?

    Scarlett Johansson is enjoying a seriously successful career right now, and not much can stop her.

    Except, perhaps, a petition with thousands of signatures asking her to be tossed out of a movie.

    Scarlett Johansson has just confirmed that she will be reprising her role as Black Widow in Captain America: Civil War.

    Those of us that fancy ourselves appreciators of a great superhero movie are over the moon!

    They are so distraught, in fact, that they have started a petition online to boot her from the role and cast an Asian actress.

    Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie have supposedly been feuding for over a decade now.

    The rumors seem to start fresh at the start of each awards season, and this year, both of them are pretty busy doing the awards circuit.

    Jennifer Aniston is enjoying critical acclaim for her role as a drug-addicted chronic pain sufferer in her new movie, Cake.

    Angelina Jolie is also reveling in praise for the movie she directed, Unbroken, about World War II hero and POW Louis Zamperini.

    While neither Jennifer Aniston or Angelina Jolie were nominated for oscars this year, Aniston was exceedingly kind to Jolie in her praise of Unbroken.

    “I think that’s slowly coming to an end. I really do,” Jennifer Aniston said of their supposed rivalry.

    She added, “I mean, that movie is so beautiful and wonderful and she did such a gorgeous job. I think that it’s time people stop with that petty B.S. and just start celebrating great work and stop with the petty kind of silliness.”

    Jennifer Aniston is obviously so over it and enjoying life with fiance Justin Theroux.

    I’m sure Angelina would agree. She has been with Brad Pitt for almost a decade and the two of them have a huge family and a stable life together.

    Even back in 2005, when it looked like Jolie broke up Brad Pitt’s marriage Jennifer Aniston, Angelina took it very seriously. She and Brad Pitt reportedly fell in love while filming Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

    “It took until, really, the end of the shoot for us, I think, to realize that it might mean something more than we’d earlier allowed ourselves to believe,” she said. “And both knowing that the reality of that was a big thing, something that was going to take a lot of serious consideration.”

    Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder are tying the knot and the gorgeous couple isn’t shy about sharing their feelings for each other.

    They announced their engagement after only six months of dating, but those close to Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder seem to think that the quick engagement isn’t a big deal.

    “They were friends before, the groundwork had been laid before. They had always been attracted to each other, but always in another relationship. It may seem quick, but they knew it was right. They believe in the same things. They are dedicated to their work and helping others.”

    That is a great way for Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder to start their life together!

    Hollywood’s latest (and possibly most attractive) power couple announced that they were dating back in July after Ian Somerhalder ended a lengthy relationship with his Vampire Diaries co-star, Nina Dobrev.

    Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder then moved in together a mere three weeks together. They have already started a fur family!

    Spent yesterday at the wildlife waystation, a place that has provided shelter and care for more than 76,000 – doing a photoshoot for @ladygunn magazine in the hopes of raising enough money to keep this place running! I wrote a post on my blog two years ago after visiting for the first time because I was so affected by the beauty that exists in this little pocket of California. There is a large range of animals residing here including all types of big cats (lions, tigers, bobcats, leopards, mountain lions, and even ligresses), chimpanzees, bears, opossums, foxes, llamas, reptiles, wolves, and many types of birds including birds of prey. The Wildlife Waystation also has the largest chimpanzee colony in the western U.S. with almost 50 chimps as permanent residents. These animals may have been former circus performers, members of animal exhibits, baby animals orphaned or abandoned by their parents, or they've come from research labs. Many of the animals were adopted by owners who thought they would make ‘novel’ or ‘cute’ pets until they grew up and became unmanageable. Sadly, in several such cases the animals were declawed or even de-fanged in a cruel attempt to maintain control over the animal.     Ian and Nikki have adopted two horses, Eagle and Millie, a kitten named Sohalia, and they have their dogs, Nietzsche and Enzo.

    Nikki Reed’s engagement isn’t that much of a surprise, actually.

    “Ian bought a vintage diamond eternity band for Nikki,” a source told Us last month when he was spotted ring shopping at Neil Lane. “It’s not a typical engagement ring but actually a wedding band you purchase for when you get married.”

    Talk about a whirlwind romance! It really seems to be working for them, though. Nikki Reed has finalized her divorce from American Idol alum Paul McDonald and is ready to move on with her life.

    Miranda Lambert and her band performed a spontaneous show for Nashville locals.

    If they were lucky enough to be following Miranda Lambert on Twitter, Nashville fans saw a tweet that surely changed the way their week went.

    On Tuesday, Miranda Lambert invited those who could be ready and willing, in about three hours’ time, to an impromptu concert at Nashville’s Exit/In club.

    Miranda Lambert and her band treated their spontaneous fans to over 30 songs that night.

    And a floor show starring a zealous fan.

    Why, you may ask?

    Well, Miranda Lambert and her band “were just ready to play for some people.”

    But, they apparently couldn’t wait for Miranda Lambert’s upcoming Platinum tour. And neither could her hair.

    Miranda Lambert’s platinum shoulder-length locks were replaced by darker, shorter layers.

    Of course it looked fantastic, but she has had the platinum hair since the release of her Platinum album. So, it was a bit of a shocker.

    The night wasn’t complete until an over-stimulated fan tried to get to Miranda Lambert and was subsequently tackled.

    According to the Tennessean, the man flung himself on stage and grabbed on to a piece of equipment as security guards attempted to pull him off. He was then thrown onto the floor.

    Miranda Lambert said of the incident, “Someone just got tackled. It’s not really a club show if someone doesn’t get tackled, have a cat fight, or get thrown out. This is where I got my start.”

    Sounds like a fun night!

  • Jenelle Evans: Veteran Death Insult Going Too Far?

    Jenelle Evans was caught on camera earlier this week fighting with her fiance, Nathan Griffith’s, family members.

    Not a great way to start off a marriage. However, this nasty brawl, which happened in St. Thomas, may have been called for.

    Apparently, Jenelle Evans and Nathan Griffith planned a trip to St. Thomas and invited two friends. Then these “friends” began charging expensive stuff, like pricey dinners among other things, to her credit card.

    But, that wasn’t all. These friends also appear to have had a free ride over there, as Nathan reportedly paid for their tickets with Jenelle Evans’ money.

    “When Jenelle first got there, everything was great. Her fiance’s friends, Candace and Patrick, flew in from Kentucky and met them there. They’re married. Nathan was in the military with Patrick,” Evans’ friend told Radar.about the ill-fated trip.

    The friend continued, “Jenelle found out that Nathan had paid for their tickets … It was like a free vacation for their friends.”

    Not surprisingly, it didn’t stop there. Give freeloading friends an inch and they’ll take thousands, right? Jenelle Evans’ “friends” began charging all kinds of stuff to her account.

    “They charged all of their drinks to Jenelle’s card. It was a $500.00 tab. And Jenelle paid for the engagement dinner they all went out to. It was $600.00 and no one gave her or her fiance money towards it,” Radar’s source said.

    When the hotel refused to put a stop on her card, Jenelle Evans tried to take matters into her own hands. She sent a text to her future sister-in-law, who was also on the trip and helping herself, to ask her to stop charging stuff to her account.

    “Jenelle texted [Nathan’s sister-in-law] Paula,” the same source spilled. “And she informed Paula that her card was on the hotel room and … to please not charge anything. Paula responded with a nasty text … Jenelle asked her to stop, and informed her that if she didn’t, she would have her escorted out of the trip. Paula responded with another nasty text.”

    Here’s what Jenelle Evans’ friend claimed happened, since the video is hard to see.

    “She flipped out and yelled at Jenelle that she didn’t deserve her kids, she would make sure she never got custody of her son Jace back, and that she would make sure Jenelle lost custody of her and Nathan’s son, Kaiser. Then, [Nathan’s brother] Noah got involved and started yelling with her that he would let Paula ‘beat Jenelle’s a**’ and that ‘Jenelle deserved to get her a** beat’ and ‘didn’t deserve her kids.’ They kept dogging her.”

    The friend continued, “Nathan’s brother, Noah, [a veteran], started making comments about Jenelle’s son and how no one ever loved Jenelle. She got pi**ed and said something along the lines of, ‘You know what? I wish you died in combat.’ Jenelle also mentioned she heard his best friend died in combat. She didn’t get to even finish speaking before Noah tried to attack her, attempting to run through security. This was after Paula had already tried the same thing!”

    Ah, the life of a Teen Mom star.

    Emma Watson will soon be navigating territory hitherto unexplored in her career.

    Musicals. Like old school Singing in the Rain musicals.

    Emma Watson has been working hard to shed her Hermione Granger skin, and perhaps this is just the thing to do it!

    She will not only be singing, but also most likely dancing in the new film.

    Emma Watson will play Mia in the film, which will be called La La Land. Mia is trying to become an actress in Los Angeles.

    Director Damien Chazelle said of the film, “I’ve been trying to get off the ground since I lived in LA, in the past five or six years.”

    He continued, “I wrote the script about four years ago, and I worked with the same guy who did the music on Whiplash. We wrote it four years ago and we were just trying to convince someone to do an original, MGM-style musical, because I don’t think there are enough.”

    Agreed. There just aren’t enough big budget Hollywood musicals out there. Especially modern ones. This sounds like so much fun, not only for Emma Watson, but for us, as well!

    The music minds will not be the only connection to Whiplash. Emma Watson’s jazz musician love interest in the film will be played by Whiplash‘s Miles Teller.

    It sounds like an incredibly interesting film and it will be great to see just what Emma Watson can do with her pipes and dancing shoes.

    It’s a good thing Emma Watson isn’t scared of trying new things in her career.

    Jennifer Aniston went all out, or let it all go, for her role as a drug-addicted chronic pain sufferer in Cake.

    But, it wasn’t enough for the aging star to grab one of those treasured statues this year.

    Jennifer Aniston shirked her on-point style, her perfect hair, and her carefully applied make up for the role.

    She even sported prosthetic scars and neglected her workout.

    Jennifer Aniston said of the Cake preparations, “For two months there were no mirrors to look at, no manicurists. Nothing. The hardest part for me was when they said, ‘Don’t work out.’ I said, ‘But I have to.’ And then I realized, Oh. When you’re not working out, your levels of joy just go down, down, down.”

    She continued, “And it’s not that easy to get the weight off once you stop working out. You say to your body, ‘Hey, what’s going on?’ But that’s just the 40s.”

    After all that, to not be nominated for an Oscar…well, it just doesn’t seem fair.

    Even critics and Toronto Film Festival audiences seemed exceedingly impressed with Jennifer Aniston’s performance.

    The LA Times said of Jennifer Aniston in Cake, “As an accident victim whose nearly every move is excruciating, Aniston lends the role an impressively agonized physicality and brings ace timing to the screenplay’s welcome gallows humor.”

    Even USA Today, which didn’t praise the film itself, loved Jennifer Aniston in the movie. They said, “Underlying her dowdy appearance is a subtle performance of a deeply depressed woman suffering from terrible pain, physical and emotional. Aniston’s portrayal feels honest, but the film doesn’t rise to the level of her performance.”

    The rest of us will just have to wait and see her performance for ourselves when Cake comes out on the 23rd.

    Poor Jennifer Aniston! She just can’t seem to catch a break, no matter how good her performance.

  • Jessica Biel: How She Maintains A Healthy Pregnancy

    Jessica Biel is the latest celebrity under intense baby bump watch.

    As we wait for the run down of her maternity style, Mrs. Justin Timberlake is dishing more on how she stays healthy and fit for two.

    Jessica Biel has always stressed eating organic local foods, but now that she is pregnant it is especially important to her.

    “She has been having deliveries from local farms so she can eat fresh organic produce and be as healthy as possible throughout the pregnancy,” a source told E!.

    “Being healthy is really important to her. She is very aware of the importance of eating well. She wants to have the best pregnancy possible.”

    The source continued, “She’s in her third trimester now and feeling good. She has stayed active during her pregnancy and tried to get in as much exercise as possible. She has spent a lot of time at home and plans to slow down on traveling in the next two months…she’s embraced being a homebody and taking it easy.”

    Jessica Biel is also a big supporter of a Paleo-style diet.

    Before her pregnancy, Jessica Biel was quoted as saying, “Eating Paleo just leans you down and slims you up and takes that little layer of fat and water-weight right off your body.”

    Well, sure. That’s nice if a girl just has a little layer of fat and water like Jessica Biel might have on occasion, but I’m sure that the Paleo diet is great for those of us that have more than a little layer of fat.

    It definitely seems to work for her!

    Scarlett Johansson will reprise her role as Black Widow in the next installment of the Captain America franchise.

    Captain America: Civil War will be the third in the wildly popular, and awesome, series. The plot will center around a proposed law for superhero registration.

    Joe and Anthony Russo, the directors of Civil War, confirmed Scarlett Johansson‘s reappearance, as well as those of Chris Evans (Captian America), Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier), and Robert Downey, Jr. in his role as Iron Man.

    There was concern that with Iron Man’s appearance in the film, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow wouldn’t get the screentime she deserves.

    However, it seems apparent that the directors will continue to keep Black Widow quite vital to the plot, just like in the first two.

    Even if it isn’t as big of a screen presence as we’d like, Scarlett Johansson will still have a huge role to play in the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron.

    In Age of Ultron, Scarlett Johansson’s past is explored in some depth and her ugly and sometimes torturous history will likely add an element to Black Window that will only make her more of a fan favorite.

    Bruce Jenner has been raising eyebrows for a while now as his looks and clothes become more and more feminine.

    However, the latest cover of In Touch magazine may have gone too far with its assumptions.

    The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star looked sad on Wednesday after the magazine was printed.

    Well, of course Bruce Jenner looked sad. The In Touch cover photoshopped him with slightly more lady-like hair than usual and full make up.

    Bruce Jenner’s ex-wife and Kardashian matriarch, Kris Jenner, was rumored to be upset about the whole thing, as well. According to TMZ, Kris said what the magazine did to Bruce was just plain mean, whether or not it was based on any sort of truth.

    After Wednesday’s issue came out, Bruce was spotted out and about sporting a longer-than-ever ponytail.

    Rumor has it that Bruce Jenner is planning on coming out as a woman sometime in 2015, but nothing has been substantiated by Bruce or his family.

    There have been rumors of a sex change, Adam’s apple surgery, and hormone therapy, as well as a seemingly larger bosom and long trips to the nail salon.

    What is true and what isn’t? I guess we will just have to wait and see if Bruce Jenner actually does make a big announcement this year. Otherwise, we will just have to keep speculating as the ponytail gets longer and longer.

    Jennifer Garner reunited with her Alias co-star and TV dad, Victor Garber, for lunch on Thursday.

    For fans of the early 2000’s spy show, the reunion was a sweet reminder that they just don’t make those shows like they used to.

    Alias fans can enjoy some pics of the reunion and remember what it was like to watch these two work out their paternal issues on TV as Sydney and Jack Bristow.

    Jennifer Garner seems very sweet in real life, and it looks like she likes to make friends and keep in touch with her colleagues and co-stars.

    This impromptu reunion is proof that Jennifer Garner must have grown pretty close to her Alias co-star, and Victor Garber seems to be quite fond of her as well.

    However, Garber is not the only Hollywood co-hort that Jennifer Garner has charmed over the years.

    Gwyneth Paltrow seems to have warmed up to Jennifer Garner, as well, even though Paltrow used to date Jennifer Garner’s husband, Ben Affleck.

    She once said of Affleck’s relationship with her parents, “I think they appreciated how he’s super intelligent and he’s really talented and funny.”

    She added, “They loved him, but they were okay with us not being together.”

    While Ben and Gwyneth (Beneth? Just throwing it out there) weren’t meant to be, she is still friends with him, and now with Jennifer Garner.

    “I’m friends with [Ben] still,” Paltrow said. She said he has settled down since then, and “his wife is awesome!”

    She added of Jennifer Garner, “Not only is she beautiful, she’s so warm and she cooks, and she’s so into her kids. She’s hilarious… I had a girls dinner before this summer. (She’s my neighbor.) I really like her a lot.”

    The couple confirmed their relationship in July and moved in together only three weeks later.

    Of course, Nikki Reed accepted Somerhalder’s proposal. Who wouldn’t?

    “She accepted with glee,” a source tells Us. “She is madly in love.”

    Apparently, Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder have had their eyes on each other for a while.

    Another source told the mag, “They were friends before, the groundwork had been laid before. They had always been attracted to each other, but always in another relationship. It may seem quick, but they knew it was right. They believe in the same things. They are dedicated to their work and helping others.”

    This will be the first marriage for Ian Somerhalder, who previously dated Vampire Diaries co-star Nina Dobrev, and the second for Nikki Reed, who was married to American Idol alum, Paul McDonald.

    “They’re so happy,” a source told E!. “They were crazy happy from the start. Their families love each other. It just feels really right.”

    Nikki Reed and her future hubby already have a jump on the whole parenthood thing. They have adopted horses Eagle and Millie, a kitten named Sohalia, and dogs Nietzsche and Enzo.

  • Miranda Lambert Shocks Fans With Impromptu Show

    Miranda Lambert and her band put together a surprise performance for Nashville locals on Tuesday and debuted some new hair in the process.

    They gave their fans in Nashville about three hours to get ready and be at the Exit/In club.

    According to the Tennessean, Miranda Lambert and crew “were just ready to play for some people.”

    “We’re going to do our set with some stuff scattered in,” she said to the audience.

    She ten added, “Thanks for waiting in the cold.”

    Miranda Lambert played more than 30 songs before the night was over, to the delight of her fans.

    She also showed off her new locks.

    Miranda Lambert’s platinum shoulder-length ‘do was replaced by shorter, darker hair.

    The platinum hair has been Miranda Lambert’s signature look since the release of her Platinum album. The look was inspired my Marilyn Monroe, according to her.

    Tuesday’s impromptu show was complete with an over-zealous fan who had to be taken down by security.

    “Someone just got tackled,” Miranda Lambert said after the guy tried to make his way onstage.

    She added, “It’s not really a club show if someone doesn’t get tackled, have a cat fight, or get thrown out. This is where I got my start.”

  • Bob Newhart Would Like To Meet His Ref Doppelganger

    Bob Newhart seemed to have found a new career, and new youth, on Monday when fans spotted a football ref that looked exactly like a young Bob Newhart.

    The game was between Ohio State and Oregon. Fans of Bob Newhart noticed right away that the ref was eerily familiar.

    Newhart told ET that he was watching the game, but didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary until his daughter contacted him.

    “I noticed he was very handsome, but I never made a connection between he and myself,” Bob joked.

    “My daughter called because she takes care of the Twitter and the Facebook and all that stuff. She said, ‘Dad, turn on the game.’ and I said, ‘Well, I got it on.’ ‘People are calling in. They’re going crazy on the Internet that the guy looks like you.’”


    That is so funny! I think I would have noticed if I was the ref at a game I was watching.

    Quickly after his daughter pointed it out, Bob Newhart took to Twitter to make with the jokes.

    He didn’t stop there. During his interview with ET, he made a crack about his wife of 52 years.

    “I woke up this morning and my wife had rode off with him.”

    He continued, “It’s good and bad you know? After 52 years, she’s up and bam! Gone.”

    When he was asked whether or not he would ever want to meet the young ref with the eerie resemblance to himself, he said, “It depends on how tall he is.”

    He added, “I don’t want to look like [Willow actor] Billy Barty next to him, but I’d love to meet him.”

  • Jodi Arias Trial: Death Penalty A Possibility

    Jodi Arias could be facing the death penalty if prosecutors of her case have their way.

    Arias is tied up in an ongoing retrial of the sentencing portion of her 2012 conviction for murdering her ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander.

    She claims she did it in self-defense, but prosecutors say Jodi Arias murdered him in a jealous rage after Alexander ended their relationship and planned a trip to Mexico with another woman.

    Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Sherry Stephens on Wednesday denied her attorneys’ request to have the death penalty taken off the table.

    Jodi Arias‘ defense team says that a couple of things were left out of her trial that would have made the jury more sympathetic. One point they make is that the prosecution allegedly deleted files off of Alexander’s laptop, including pornography, that would have suggested that he treated her in a sexually humiliating manner.

    The other claim is that three witnesses on her behalf have refused to testify in open court out of fear that they will be harassed.

    Judge Stephens wrote, “Many of those motions alleged prosecutorial misconduct. The cumulative effect of those allegations does not require dismissal of the charges or the notice of intent to seek the death penalty.”

    She added, “There may have been errors made, but those errors were not so egregious that they create concerns about the integrity or fundamental fairness of the trial.”

    Of course, prosecutors in Jodi Arias’ case deny they did any damage to Alexander’s laptop during their research.

    Footage from Jodi Arias’ sentencing retrial, that is going on right now, will not be released until a decision has been reached on the order of Judge Stephens.

    Christina Hendricks is the most famous redhead in Hollywood right now.

    Sorry, Julianne Moore, but it’s quite true.

    The Mad Men star has been rocking that gorgeous head of red hair for years now.

    Thanks to her notoriety for her saucy role on the show and her lovely locks, Christina Hendricks has landed a new gig.

    She is the new face of Clairol’s Nice ‘n Easy line of hair dye.

    Turns out being a redhead in the cut-throat world of Hollywood was quite the advantage when Christina Hendricks was starting out.

    “I did notice I started getting more modeling jobs as a redhead — I think because it was quite unique, there weren’t a lot of redheads around.”

    She added, “I think also because I felt so confident with it, I probably had a better attitude. I just felt gorgeous with it and I stuck with it for years.”

    Well, it looks absolutely amazing. Maybe we should all consider saving some cash on our colors and highlights.

  • Boko Haram Recruiting Little Girls For Suicide Bombs

    Boko Haram is believed to be responsible for Saturday’s bombing in a crowded northern Nigeria market.

    The bomb killed at least 20 people and injured many more.

    The Boko Haram suicide bomber who detonated the bomb was a girl, only about 10 years old. It is said that the bomb tore her little body apart.

    She was hiding the bomb under her veil, but reports suggest she may not have even been aware that she was wearing it.

    The little girl was being screened by vigilante security before entering the market. Witnesses say she resisted and that’s when security noticed a bulge around her waist. Then the bomb went off.

    “It’s a little girl,” said a hospital official who spoke to the New York Times on the condition of anonymity. “The body is beyond recognition, but from the face you can see it’s a young person. A young pretty girl.”

    This little girl is one of the youngest, possibly the youngest, recruit of Boko Haram to have ever detonated a suicide bomb.

    The horror is blinding, but the shocking news is that this kind of thing is happening more and more with Boko Haram.

    “It’s something quite new, and it’s disturbing, using these young, young girls wearing hijabs,” a top police official in Nigeria’s capital, Abuja, said after the bombing.“Now, one has to be suspicious of any lady wearing a hijab — whether it’s a young lady, or an old lady.”

    Boko Haram is the militant Islamic terrorist group responsible for the kidnapping of nearly 300 girls from the town of Chibok last April. All but 57 of those girls are still missing.

    Boko Haram has increased the number of kidnappings of girls recently, increasing the number of “recruits” they could possibly add to their list of bombers.
