Liv Tyler revealed the name of her newborn son on Instagram Friday.
She posted an adorable pic of the baby’s hand holding an anchor necklace with the caption, “Sailor Gene Gardner”.
Liv Tyler gave birth to Sailor six weeks early on February 11th.
Liv Tyler’s rep told Popsugar after Sailor’s surprise arrival, “He was born on Feb. 11. He is very early — six weeks — but healthy, and will be in hospital for a while.”
Her rep added, “She would like privacy until she can bring him home.”
This is the first child with her boyfriend, sports agent David Gardner, who has a 7-year-old son, Grey, from a previous marriage. This is also the second for Liv Tyler. She has a son, Milo, 10, with her ex-husband, Royston Langdon.
Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump have won the right to sue for the removal of the Trump name from Atlantic City’s Taj Mahal casino.
Now, Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump will demand that Trump Entertainment Resorts, with which Donald Trump is no longer associated, but holds a 10% stake in, remove the name Trump from the crumbling Taj Mahal.
“Unfortunately, Trump Entertainment Resorts has allowed the Taj to fall into an utter state of disrepair in violation of their licensing agreement,” Trump attorney Alan Garten said.
He added, “We think it’s a good ruling.”
In response to the initial outcry from Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump, Trump Entertainment Resorts removed the Trump sign from the Trump Plaza.
However, even after removing the neon lights that declared “Trump” to Atlantic City visitors, the outline remained clearly visible from a coat of dirt or rust.
Atlantic City has been in a steady decline for a while now, with casinos closing left and right.
The Trump Taj Mahal was in trouble for a long time. In fact, Trump Entertainment Resorts filed for bankruptcy and threatened to close the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort, back in November.
In the lawsuit, Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump insist that “The Trump name … has become synonymous with the highest levels of quality, luxury, prestige and success.”
Obviously, allowing the Taj Mahal to fall into disrepair is something that Ivanka Trump and her father don’t want to be associated with at all.
But, Trump Entertainment Resorts is fighting to keep the name on the Taj Mahal.

Exploding Kittens is a complete anomaly in the games section of Kickstarter.
Luke Crane, community manager for games at Kickstarter, said, “Until Exploding Kittens came along, we hadn’t seen the Internet at large descend on a project and embrace it at this crazy scale.”
On Kickstarter, donors receive awards for donating to the projects. In the case of Exploding Kittens, that award was a deck of the cards for a $20 donation.
If it was more than $20, donors were awarded with upgraded decks or x-rated decks.
Now that the funding is in, it is up to the talented designers, Elan Lee, former chief design officer for Xbox Entertainment Studios, Matthew Inman, creator of The Oatmeal, and Shane Small, an Xbox and Marvel game designer, to make it all happen.

That will be no easy task for the Exploding Kittens team, but Elan Lee said on a Reddit AMA that their donors are their top priority.
“We made a promise to more than 200 thousand people to ship them this game,” Lee wrote.

Bobbi Kristina Brown continues to fight for her life in an Atlanta hospital as her father, Bobby Brown, and other members of her family stay by her side.
Bobbi Kristina underwent a tracheotomy this week in what family members say is a “normal procedure” for someone who is going to be on a ventilator long-term.
“The tracheotomy is a different place for the tube to go,” a family source tells People. “Everything else remains the same. It’s a waiting game. The family is hoping and waiting.”
However, there is still no report on any change in Bobbi Kristina Brown‘s condition.
The source added, “She is still critical and we don’t know what the outcome will be. No one is giving up on this kid.”

Another family source told People that the operation on Bobbi Kristina Brown did have effects on the family, however.
The source said, “There’s a medical reason behind [the tracheotomy], but it’s making things clear to everyone how serious this is. Even if she wakes up, there’s a possibility that this could do some damage to her vocal cords, I hear.”

There may be no more than a remote chance for Bobbi Kristina to survive, and attention has fallen to what will happen to Bobbi Kristina Brown‘s (Whitney Houston’s) fortune should she not make it.

The will stipulated that Bobbi Kristina would receive the money, a reported minimum of $20 million, in a series of payments over nine years. She got 10 percent at age 21, and she will get a 30 percent distribution at 25, and the remainder when she turns 30.
Attorney Bruce H. Gaynes makes clear that the will says, “if Bobbi Kristina were to die unmarried, without children of her own and had left no will and testament of her own, the estate would be divided among Whitney’s living relatives.”
That would be Whitney Houston’s siblings and her mother.
The will does name Robert Brown, aka Bobby Brown, however, their divorce nullified him as a beneficiary.
The big question is, will Nick Gordon be entitled to receive any of Bobby Kristina Brown’s money?
Chances are slim, according to Gaynes. Despite many a social media reference as “husband” and “wife”, lawyers for Bobby Brown say the two never married.
Unless Nick Gordon can produce a marriage certificate, he is entitled to nothing. And even if he can, he is only entitled to Bobbi Kristina’s money, not Whitney Houston’s future estate payments.
But, a marriage isn’t likely, given the fact that the family has barred Nick Gordon from seeing Bobbi Kristina Brown in the hospital. If they were legally married, there would be nothing they could do about it, as he would have every right to see her.

Lupita Nyong’o won an Academy award last year for her stunning performance in 12 Years A Slave.
Lupita Nyong’o’s win was among a variety of instances in which diversity was a big part of last year’s Oscars.
In addition to Lupita Nyong’o, Ellen DeGeneres, an outspoken lesbian, was hosting and the first Latino, Alfonso Cuaron, won the Oscar for best director.
And, of course, filmmaker Steve McQueen was infamously hopping for joy after 12 Years a Slave won best picture.
Shortly before her win, Lupita Nyong’o made the world love her with a speech on “dark beauty”.

Since then, Lupita Nyong’o has become a symbol of “dark beauty” herself.
During her speech, Lupita Nyong’o told of a young girl who wrote her a letter saying that Nyong’o had saved her.
The girl was apparently getting ready to lighten her skin, but after Nyongo’s success, she decided not to and to be proud of who she was.
Lupita Nyong’o said at the end of her speech, “I remember a time when I too felt unbeautiful. I put on the TV and only saw pale skin.”
She added, “And so I hope that my presence on your screens and in the magazines may lead you, young girl, on a similar journey.”
This year, the Oscars are noticeably lacking in the diversity department.
In fact, all 20 acting nominees are white this year. Also, the lack of nods for Selma is a shock, and some might say a disgrace.
As to the Oscars’ exclusive history, Darnell Hunt, a UCLA professor and director of the Ralph J. Bunche Center for African American Studies and co-author of a 2014 diversity report on the film and TV industries, says it’s nothing new.

He added, “What we saw in terms of the nominations this year was business as usual. What we got was more or less an accurate reflection of the way the industry is structured and the way the academy is populated.”
The outcry has attracted the likes of Al Sharpton, who called for a task force to look into the diversity problem at the Oscars. Sharpton said of the movie industry, “The movie industry is like the Rocky Mountains, the higher you get, the whiter it gets.”
That guy. Always classy.
However, Lionel Chetwynd, an Oscar-nominated writer and an academy member, argued against the whole “task force” idea.
He said, “Enforced ‘diversity’ will undermine the very mission of AMPAS. As new filmmakers and craftspeople achieve new levels of excellence, the face of the academy will change as it should, to the meter of its time, the pace of its art.”

Niagara Falls’ frozen wonderland is attracting tourists from all over the nation and even around the world.
People are flocking to see the spectacle of Niagara Falls’ frozen upper layers, which still allow water to flow underneath.
In fact, traffic through the Niagara Falls visitor’s center is up 67%, according to John Percy, president & CEO of Niagara Tourism & Convention Corporation.
Niagara Falls‘ frozen wonderland is great for tourism now, but Percy thinks the ice could last longer than usual in the spring.
“This will probably be another year where we still have ice in the river in May, ” said Percy.

This might not be a big deal, except there are other events scheduled that require Niagara Falls to not be frozen, like Maid of Mist, which begins in April.
But, in the mean time, fans of ice, snow, and winter have a great attraction to get out of the house to see when that cabin fever strikes.
Snow still falls a lot of the time on Niagara Falls’ frozen layers, and the mist that escapes from under the ice coats the surrounding trees, benches, and railing in a sparkling crystal layer of winter goodness.
And it looks like Niagara Falls’ frozen wonderland will be here to stay for a while for tourists to enjoy. Temperatures were at seven degrees below zero on Friday morning.

The popular New Hampshire Republican senator is already being forced to guard her position in the swing state before the 2016 elections, because historically, New Hampshire already tends to vote Democrat during election years.
Republicans across the state and even Chris Christie, New Jersey governor and potential presidential candidate, are circling the wagons around Kelly Ayotte as she gets ready to defend her seat in a race that hasn’t even been intiated yet.
Democratic Governor Maggie Hassan is said to have eyes for Kelly Ayotte’s Senate seat, but hasn’t even announced that she will be running against Ayotte.
However, Republicans see her as a big enough threat that they are already starting the attempt to discredit Hassan.

“There’s been constant quiet talk about it in Concord from the first day she became governor, at the beginning of her first term,” said Jennifer Horn, the state GOP chairwoman. “It’s the worst-kept secret in political circles that Governor Hassan would like to be Senator Hassan.”
Earlier this month, Kelly Ayotte’s office made a right-to-know request for Governor Hassan’s out-of-state travel records. They say she loses power and control when she travels out of her state’s borders.
They hope to show with her travel records that she has only used her job as Governor as a step up to bigger things.
Chris Christie took a jab on behalf of Kelly Ayotte recently, saying, “[Hassan] will use this platform as a way to increase her own visibility and run for the next job. Let’s be careful. We’ve got enough of those types in Washington, D.C., already. We don’t need you to send any more there.”
Meanwhile, Kelly Ayotte is also carrying on with political business as usual. Earlier this month, she expressed concern over President Obama’s hesitation to take a stand against ISIS and terrorism in general.
Kelly Ayotte told Chris Matthews, “I think they [President Obama and John Kerry] should spend less time on being worried about being politically correct, about how we define our enemies, and more time on a strategy to defeat them.”

Betty Lou Bredemus, Julia Roberts’ beloved mother died early Thursday morning after a long battle with lung cancer.
She was 80 years old.
Betty Lou Bredemus is survived by her children, Eric Roberts, 58, Julia, 47, and Lisa Gillan, 49. Her other daughter, Nancy Motes, committed suicide last year at the age of 37.
Betty Lou Bredemus also leaves behind four grandchildren, actress Emma Roberts, who is Eric Roberts’ daughter, and Julia Roberts’ children, Phinnaeus and Hazel, both 10, and Henry, 7.
Julia Roberts was very close with her mother. Her and Betty Lou Bredemus leaned on each other after Nancy Motes died of an overdose last year, and Bredemus helped pull their family together.

Niagara Falls‘ frozen appearance is apparently worth getting out in unthinkable temperatures to see.
In fact, temperatures have dropped recently to 13 degrees below zero, and wind chills are sometimes at 25 degrees below zero.
But that doesn’t stop those who are desperate enough (or bored enough, or brave enough) to go out and get a glimpse of Niagara Falls frozen.
There have been more visitors this week to Niagara Falls than normal.

Kate Matrosova was dropped off by her husband at the base of the mountains of the Presidential Range in New Hampshire on Sunday morning.
Kate Matrosova’s plan was to hike alone to the top of Mount Madison, then hike through Mount Adams and Mount Jefferson, and to the top of Mount Washington.
There, Kate Matrosova would stand at the summit of the highest peak in the Northwest.
But Kate Matrosova never made it to the peak of Mount Washington.
Her body was found frozen on Monday between Mount Madison and Mount Adams.
Kate Matrosova activated her emergency personal locator beacon on Sunday afternoon when she became lost in 100 mph winds and blowing snow.
However, it would prove impossible for rescue crews to find her in the devastatingly harsh conditions.
“Unfortunately, a lot of the coordinates that we received over the night were all over the place within a mile circumference,” Fish and Game Lt. Jim Goss said of Kate Matrosova’s attempt at being rescued.
Temperatures overnight dipped to 30 degrees below zero. That, coupled with the 100 mph winds, forced rescue efforts to turn back.
Finally, on Monday, rescue teams made up of Fish and Game officers, Mountain Rescue Services members and Androscoggin Valley Search and Rescue members were able to find Kate Matrosova’s body.
Goss noted that there is a lesson to be learned from Kate Matrosova.
He added of the tragedy, “I guess if you are gonna hike in this type of weather you need to be in a more sheltered area, not up on an open exposed ridgeline. There’s just no room for error in a place like that.”

The star of the hit A&E show will be given the Andrew Breitbart Defender of the First Amendment Award for free speech.
Phil Robertson will be given the honor at this year’s Conservative Political Action Conference, or CPAC.
CPAC is one of the biggest conservative political events of the year.
Phil Robertson will join last year’s recipient, author and conservative talk show host Mark Levin.
Phil Robertson made huge waves over a year ago when he made comments about the LGBT community that were seen as exceedingly controversial.
For example, in case anyone needs reminding, this gem, “It seems like, to me, a vagina—as a man—would be more desirable than a man’s anus. That’s just me. I’m just thinking: There’s more there! She’s got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I’m saying? But hey, sin: It’s not logical, my man. It’s just not logical.”
A&E indefinitely suspended Phil Robertson from his own show, but reinstated him after a severe backlash from the show’s main fanbase, politcal conservatives.

Courteney Cox celebrated Jennifer Aniston’s birthday last week at the famed Roosevelt Hotel’s Spare Room.
The $5,000 venue was the perfect place for Courteney Cox to join Aniston in ringing in her 46th birthday.
The birthday bash was full of Aniston’s A-list friends. Besides Courteney Cox, guests included Jennifer Aniston’s long-time fiance, Justin Theroux, as well as her famous couple friends, John Krasinski and Emily Blunt, and Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen.
Also in attendance was Tobey Maguire, Jennifer Meyer, Ken Marino, the fabulous Amy Adams, Lake Bell, and Jennifer Aniston’s hairstylist Chris McMillan.
Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, and all of the other guests enjoyed bowling at the room’s double lane, as well as backgammon, chess, monopoly, dominos, and playing cards.

Courtney Cox revealed on a September episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! that his proposal was incredibly sweet and involved her 10-year-old daughter with David Arquette, Coco.

“He gave her a little diamond ring and got on his knee,” Courteney Cox said. “And she said, ‘Great! I’m going to camp tomorrow. Let’s do it right now!’”
So, Coco and Johnny McDaid planned to do it at Coco’s birthday party, thrown by none other than Jennifer Aniston.
Courtney Cox elaborated, “They made a plan to count down from three, and when they got to one, he was gonna get down on his knee and say, ‘Will you marry me?’ and she was gonna say, ‘Will you marry him?’”
She added, “They planned it out, they found the perfect tree, with three branches that led to one trunk — it was just beautiful.”
That is lovely. Hopefully Courteney Cox’s tears aren’t a sign that something has gone awry in her relationship with Johnny McDaid.

The 25-year-old wife of AJ McCarron got over 10,000 likes on the photo, but some people just couldn’t sit idly by and let someone post a bikini pic to Instagram without throwing their opinion, and sometimes hateful comments, at them.

“I was really surprised at the response, just of the amount of disgust and disapproval with the way I looked,” Katherine Webb said.
She added, “It’s a very sensitive issue for me because I dealt with self-esteem issues growing up. I was tall and thin and lanky.”
Katherine Webb used the interview to send a message, saying, “To the bullies and to people that want to say negative things, really think about what you’re saying. Can you imagine if someone said those things to you?”

Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin reportedly caused quite the stir when they showed up together at Harry Styles’ 21st birthday party together.
The couple have been dating since last summer, so their presence together was not surprising.
However, it was apparently difficult for Alexa Chung, who also attended the party and who Martin dated for a brief time after his split with Gwyneth Paltrow, to see Martin with Jennifer Lawrence.
The British fashionista was “totally thrown” by their lovey-doveyness.
“Alexa hadn’t seen Chris since they dated last year and was totally thrown when he walked in holding hands with Jennifer Lawrence. She avoided them all night and got a little upset in front of friends, saying how hard it was to see Chris with someone else,” a source said.

Chris Martin reportedly spent the special day on the beach with Gwyneth Paltrow and their kids, Moses, 8, and Apple, 10.
A source said, “[They] spent several hours on the beach. Gwyneth and Chris were friendly, but they always are. Chris spent most of the time with the kids in the ocean, and Gwyneth stayed with friends on the beach. Chris even surfed with the kids. He is a great dad and very patient.”
Jennifer Lawrence stayed in Boston to work on her new movie, Joy, but filming was postponed after the snow hit.
A tsunami warning that was issued for Japan was downgraded to a watch at about 10 am local time.
A 6.7 magnitude earthquake, for which the epicenter was at a depth of about 14 miles, shook much of northeast Japan.
It was reported that the quake could be felt all the way in Tokyo, which is about 330 miles away.
Luckily, the estimated time that a wave would strike the coast with devastating effects came and went without event.
Onagawa Nuclear Power Plant in Miyagi Prefecture said there haven’t been any disruptions or damage from the quake and bullet trains were running on regular schedules.

The area that would have been affected by a tsunami is the same area that was wiped out and devastated in 2011.

“Because the 3/11 earthquake had such a strong impact, and because it’s an area where it was affected by the 3/11 Earthquake, we are describing this as an ‘aftershock,’” said agency seismologist, Yasuhiro Yoshida
After the quake came and went, and the tsunami warning was issued, a reported 10,000 people had been urged to get to high ground.
However, the result was non-threatening. Small tsunamis were recorded along the coast of Iwate prefecture in Japan, but none that would have caused any damage.
