    Ronda Rousey’s Living Conditions Before Making It Big Were “Hellish”

    Ronda Rousey has been filming her rise to stardom since 2011 for a documentary that will highlight what it was like for her to go from rags to riches called In Her Father’s Eyes.

    Back in 2011, Ronda Rousey teamed up with filmmakers Gary Stretch, who is a former boxer, and Peter Antico, who is a stuntman, actor, and producer to begin filming what would become one of the greatest rises to stardom in the world of sports.

    Ronda Rousey apparently lived in a dump in Venice, California when she began her journey.

    In a clip of the upcoming documentary, they are filming that very house with a then-22-year-old Ronda Rousey.

    Ronda Rousey jokes, “I’m surprised we didn’t invent a new strain of cholera.”

    She adds, “They are tearing the house down right after we move out. As soon as we found out we were like, ‘Well who gives a s–t.’ It was already kind of hellish when I moved in. I didn’t make it this way.”

    Ronda Rousey then shares, with a huge smile, that she’s moving to the beach.

    One just can’t help but feel excited for Ronda Rousey in this clip, knowing all of the things she will accomplish from there.

    However, Ronda Rousey’s mother, AnnMaria De Mars, thinks her daughter was happier back then. She explained that “it was different time for Ronda. She didn’t have a lot but she knew who her real friends were.”

    She added, “People say that if you’re a beautiful woman no one ever tells you the truth and I think it is the same if you are wealthy. Back then she knew that if people wanted to hang out with her it was because they genuinely wanted to spend time with her. Not because they were leeches.”

    Donald Conroy was a fighter pilot who fought in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. His military service forced his family of nine to move 23 times before Pat Conroy’s 18th birthday.

    But it was Donald Conroy’s abuse that led Pat Conroy to try to sort his childhood out in the form of novels. The exposure of his father’s misdeeds split the family apart.

    In a book called Why We Write About Ourselves, Pat Conroy explained that the abuse portrayed in his books wasn’t even as bad as what happened in real life.

    He wrote, “I wasn’t yet prepared to say he beat us half to death and left us in the driveway. I had trouble getting people to believe me.”

    Pat Conroy took to Facebook to announce that he had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer only just last month.

  • Chris Christie Addresses His Face At Trump’s Press Conference

    Chris Christie and his face made some serious rounds on social media this week after he attended Donald Trump‘s victory speech/press conference on Tuesday.

    Some said Chris Christie looked like a hostage. Some said he looked like he just realized that he had made a huge mistake in joining up with Trump.

    Chris Christie’s glazed features and sometimes frantic eye movements definitely stole some of Trump’s thunder.

    The attention to Chris Christie’s face led to some amazing Twitter posts.

    Chris Christie has now answered all of those who tried to attach explainations, funny or serious, as to why his face looked the way it did.

    Chris Christie said, “Listen, I don’t know what I was supposed to be doing. I was standing there listening to him. And you know, all these armchair psychiatrists should give it a break.”

    I couldn’t help it.

    Chris Christie felt the need to reiterate that Trump’s speech was “not a normal election-night rally.”

    He went on to say, “Usually you have hundreds of people in a ballroom, they’re all screaming and cheering, and you’re giving a political speech. Well, that would have led to a lot of applause, a lot of smiles, and all of the rest of it.”

    He added, “He gave a press conference! That’s what he decided to do that night. That’s what he wanted to do. There were literally 25 people that were not press in that room that night. So it wasn’t the kind of circumstance where I’d be jumping up and down, cheering, and smiling. He was answering questions from the national press corps and I was listening.”

  • Sacha Baron Cohen Makes Rounds With Extremely Graphic Clip From New Movie

    Sacha Baron Cohen is up to some crazy antics. Again.

    Sacha Baron Cohen crashed Pharrell Williams’ show OTHERtone earlier in the week under shady pretenses.

    In the middle of sort of an awkward introduction, Pharrell realizes Sacha Baron Cohen looks familiar.

    Pharrell said, “Where was I? I just walked in somewhere and I seen him somewhere!”

    Sacha Baron Cohen then replied, “Yeah I was, uh, taking a s–t!” Then Sacha Baron Cohen reached out for a handshake. “You know, generally you don’t do this when someone’s actually on the toilet, really.”

    Then things got really weird when Sacha Baron Cohen asks to show Pharrell a clip from his new movie, The Brothers Grimsby. I don’t really know which clip was viewed, but here’s the trailer:

    The group settles in around Sacha Baron Cohen and his laptop to watch the clip. Soon, things get even more uncomfortable.

    Pharrell jumped up and waved his hands around adding exclamations like, “Nah!” and, “That’s wild!”

    Then he just…walked out. Of his own show.

  • Six Flags To Introduce Virtual Reality To Some Of Their Roller Coasters

    Six Flags To Introduce Virtual Reality To Some Of Their Roller Coasters

    Six Flags is about to throw roller coaster enthusiasts for a loop.

    Virtual reality goggles will be added to roller coasters at nine Six Flags amusement parks across the country.

    New Samsung Gear VR headsets will be added to existing coasters to make an entirely new ride. Themes from space battles to underwater adventures to Superman scapes and whatever else can be imagined will be options popping up at Six Flags, starting with space themes at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, Texas, Six Flags Over Georgia near Atlanta and at Six Flags Magic Mountain near Los Angeles.

    Later this year, Six Flags St. Louis in Eureka, The Great Escape in Lake George, New York and La Ronde in Montreal will get the new virtual reality coaster upgrades.

    The special Superman virtual reality coasters will debut at Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio.

    Six Flags New England in Agawam, Massachusetts and Six Flags America in Upper Marlboro, Maryland will also be getting the Superman rides.

    Dennis Speigel, president of International Theme Park Services, boasted, “They can change the story to have aliens or it can take place in a submarine. They can change it annually — just rewrite the software rather than spend $25 million for a new coaster.”

    This sounds so awesome.

  • Susan Sarandon Says Many In Hollywood Support Bernie Sanders, But Are “Afraid To Come Out”

    Susan Sarandon is tired of celebrities, who are Bernie Sanders supporters, not using the platforms they’ve been given to throw some love his way.

    An avid advocate for Sanders, Susan Sarandon is hoping that some others will come out in support of the underdog candidate.

    Susan Sarandon said, “You know, there’s a lot of people I’ve talked to who are afraid.”

    Susan Sarandon says there are many a Bernie-backer who she knows will “say ‘I am definitely supporting him, but I’m afraid to come out’ because either ‘I am woman and I don’t want to get shamed’ — because that has been a big part of what the response has been — or they say, ‘I am just waiting to see what happens.’”

    She continued, “I understand [celebrities] who say they are waiting because you put yourself out there for [interviews] like this. And people, especially if you’re a woman, are making it very, very difficult.”

    The main reason Susan Sarandon wants Hollywood to stand up for Bernie Sanders has to do with Donald Trump‘s popularity.

    Susan Sarandon, and a large chunk of American citizens on both sides of the party line, believes that Trump is the absolute wrong candidate to put in office.

    In fact, Susan Sarandon calls the election process that we are now enduring a “circus” and blames the media. She also stressed the permanent nature of the decision.

    She said, “The press is responsible for making Trump who he is. I don’t know why. Things have just not stuck on him, and I blame a lot of the circus that was created by the press and not treated seriously for allowing him to get as far as he has. We’re just not reporting in-depth, responsible, grown-up kind of journalism.”

    Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher’s secret wedding was tough to pull off but totally worth it, according to Kutcher.

    Ashton Kutcher has finally opened up about his secret wedding to Mila Kunis.

    On Thursday’s episode of The Ellen Degeneres Show, Ashton Kutcher disclosed some details of how hard he and Mila Kunis worked to keep their long-awaited wedding under wraps.

    He admitted, “It was a ninja effort. We really didn’t want helicopters at our wedding and it’s a legitimate concern. So I was, like, posting things on social media that we were in different locations to avoid [people and noise].”

    He continued, “We didn’t want to be screaming our vows at each other, and being, like, ‘Forever, did you say never?’ We didn’t want to do that thing, so we went really under the radar with it.”

    Then life set in. Now their daughter, Wyatt Isabelle, is 18 months old and Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis are in some ways just like the rest of us.

  • Cheryl Tiegs Apologizes For Fat-Shaming Model Ashley Graham

    Cheryl Tiegs has penned an open letter in which she apologizes for insensitive comments she made about Ashley Graham’s cover for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

    Ashley Graham, of course, is the first plus-size model to ever grace the cover and last year was the first to appear in the magazine.

    When asked about her feelings on the unprecedented cover, Cheryl Tiegs said, “I don’t like that we’re talking about full-figured women because it’s glamorizing them, and your waist should be smaller than 35 [inches].”

    That statement caused a firestorm to which Ashley Graham responded with a sort of “whatever” and brushed it right off.

    Now, Cheryl Tiegs is trying to pedal herself out of the situation.

    Cheryl Tiegs said in her letter that the question she was actually asked “was a generic question, and I said that I did not love it. My answer was based on health concerns because of our nation’s increasing problems with weight linked to diabetes, heart issues and cancer. At no time was I thinking of a specific person.”

    She continued, “What has ensued is yet another ‘manufactured media feud’ that is needed to feed websites and empty air time. I was not equating beauty to weight or size, but unfortunately that is what the media reported in headlines. I was trying to express my concern over media images and the lack of education in America about healthy choices, thus the reference to the 35-inch waist as a guideline to health.”

    She went on to defend that statement, saying, “I did hear that on Dr. Oz, but it’s also stated on websites such as The Center For Disease Control, Harvard University and The American Diabetes Association.”

    Then came a surprising admission: “And by the way, my waist is 37 inches.”

  • Joey Feek Dead At 40, Rory Says, “She Is In Heaven”

    Joey Feek died on Friday afternoon after a long and heartbreaking battle with cervical cancer.

    Joey Feek, half of country duet Joey+Rory, entered hospice care in November after her cancer was deemed terminal in October.

    Her partner and husband, Rory Feek, has documented the couple’s sad, yet heartwarming, journey as Joey managed to reach all of her goals. She wanted to live until Christmas and her daughter, Indiana’s, second birthday in February. They have two older girls from Rory’s previous relationship.

    Joey Feek even got to spend one last Valentine’s day with her husband.

    Then, only a few days ago, Joey said goodbye to all of her friends and family. She gave her daughter one last kiss and fell into a deep sleep.

    Rory Feek wrote on his blog, which he has shared many of the happiness and tears he has experienced with Joey Feek, “My wife’s greatest dream came true today. She is in Heaven. The cancer is gone. The pain has ceased. And all her tears are dry.”

    He continued, “Though this is, and has been, a time of many tears of sorrow, it has also been a time of countless tears of joy. There have been too many beautiful moments to count or even begin to share … But I try.”

    He added, “When a person has been through as much pain and struggle as Joey’s been through, you just want it to be over. You want them to not have to hurt anymore, more than you want them to stay with you. And so, it makes the hard job of saying goodbye just a little easier.”

    Rory then said that Joey Feek’s body was being taken back to their Tennessee farm for burial.

    He said, “It’s hard for me to imagine being there without Joey, but at the same time … it is where she wants us to be. It’s where she will be … Joey will still be with us. Everywhere.”

    Marla Maples may not have the privilege of preparing to be the possible first lady, but she is likely preparing her body for something much more rigorous.

    Donald Trump is making his way to election day and one of his ex-wives, Marla Maples, is headed to Dancing with the Stars.

    It was announced recently that Marla Maples will join the cast for season 22 of DWTS, and according to sources, it was a long time coming.

    Marla Maples will be partnering with Tony Dovolani this spring. The two of them have been friends for a long time and he has been asking her to do the show for years.

    Of course, the entrance of Marla Maples into the show and Trump’s presidential antics seem highly suspect. Perhaps her appearance is supposed to boost ratings.

    Marla Maples married The Donald in 1993 after having an affair with him while he was married to his first wife, Ivana Trump. They divorced in 1999.

    He was married to Ivana from 1977 until 1992.

    Donald Trump and Marla Maples have one daughter together, Tiffany Trump, who is now 22.

    Donald married Melania in 2005 and they have been together since. They have one son, Barron, who is nine.

    Melania actually is preparing for a possible new position as First Lady and despite Donald’s home-wrecking habits that led to their relationship, Melania said on Tuesday that they have a great relationship and never fight.

    Melania Trump is undoubtedly preparing mentally to possibly be the nation’s next first lady.

    While Melania Trump has remained private during the decades of her marriage to Donald Trump, she will soon be very much in the public eye should Trump get the GOP nomination.

    Melania Trump may not be too thrilled about that part, as she has said in the past that she is a mother first and wants to keep her son’s life as normal as possible.

    A few years ago, it didn’t seem like Melania Trump would even have time for FLOTUS duties.

    Melania Trump also revealed last month that she is interested in politics, but has zero desire to put her opinions out there.

    She said, “I’m very political in private life, and between me and my husband I know everything that is going on. I follow from A to Z. But I chose not to be on the campaign. I made that choice. I have my own mind. I am my own person, and I think my husband likes that about me.”

    He must like a lot more than that about Melania Trump, because she claims the two have never had a fight. Ever.

    She told Greta Van Susteren this week, “We don’t have fights. We disagree but that’s OK. I have my own brains and he has his own brains.”

    George Clooney has had a lot to say as of late on the social hot-button issues of our time.

    One can always count on George Clooney to tell exactly what is on his mind and his latest comments are no exception.

    For instance, about diversity in Hollywood? Don’t get him started.

    George Clooney got a glimpse of 1950’s Hollywood while filming his latest movie, Hail, Caesar!.

    The film was based on a true Hollywood story and showed quite a glamorous side of Hollywood in its Golden Age. George Clooney thinks things have become harder for white males in Hollywood since then, but have become a little easier (but not easy enough) over the last few decades for minorities and women.

    George Clooney said, “Yes it was easier if you were white and male, but probably not easier if you were a woman or a minority or had polio so there are an awful lot of things that have got much better. It is something that ebbs and flows.”

    He continued, “We have periods of time in our history when we’re really good at it. The United States particularly has had great moments of civil rights movements and great moments in cinema as well.”

    He added, “And we’ve also had the last couple of years when we’ve really truly failed, not just about nominations but about who is making films and who we’re putting in front of the camera.”

    George Clooney is not too pleased with the world of politics right now, either. As Donald Trump makes waves as the frontrunner on the Republican side, Clooney is not afraid to call him out.

    George Clooney said of Trump, “He’s just an opportunist. Now he’s a fascist; a xenophobic fascist. You can count on Americans to do the right thing after they’ve exhausted all the other possibilities.”

    Even Americans fail to do the right thing, George Clooney doesn’t think Trump will be able to execute all of his promises. He said, “The truth of the matter is, in election season, things go crazy, and the loudest voices are the furthest and most extreme.”

    He added, “So you hear a massively stupid idea, like we’re going to ban Muslims from the country. Now, we’re not ever going to do that. It says in the Statue of Liberty, bring us your huddled masses. It’s not what’s going to happen.”

  • Royal Caribbean: Anthem Of The Seas Diverted To Miss Yet Another Storm

    Royal Caribbean is really suffering this cruise season thanks to stormy weather and a bit of what could be called bad judgement.

    The Royal Caribbean ship, Anthem of the Seas sailed through a massive storm with wind gusts strong enough to blow deck chairs around and pound the ship with 40 foot waves last month, but managed to make it to shore with 4500 angry passengers.

    Royal Caribbean has just narrowly avoided being in the same predicament this week.

    Royal Caribbean said in a statement, “Anthem of the Seas is heading back to Cape Liberty (New Jersey) immediately to avoid a severe storm and provide guests with a comfortable journey back home.”

    The statement continued, “We have been closely watching a weather system gaining strength off the coast of Cape Hatteras. Based on the most recent weather forecast, if Anthem of the Seas continues on its regular scheduled itinerary, the ship would encounter the brunt of the large and powerful storm on the return to Cape Liberty.”

    They were expected to dock on Wednesday.

    The decision was the result of new and improved methods of operation that came about after last month’s fiasco.

    Royal Caribbean surely can’t afford another publicity hit like that one. Passengers recorded their dangerous situation on cell phones.

    One passenger from the first Royal Caribbean storm incident is suing the cruise line for severe injuries he suffered.

    Delaware resident Bruce Simpson filed the suit. He claims that Royal Caribbean officers knew the danger they were risking when taking the ship, staff and its 4500 passengers into a storm that had been forecasted.

    Simpson said in the lawsuit that at one point, he was “hurled across the room with such force that he was knocked unconscious.”

    After Simpson was hurled across the room into a door, he suffered from a concussion, a bruise on his left eye, an injured wrist and pains and bruising in his neck, ribs and torso.

    It seems Royal Caribbean at least made the right call in turning back this week’s Anthem of the Seas voyage. What do you think?

    That’s right, Orange is the New Black fans, Laura Prepon is back filming season four. That means, of course, Alex didn’t die.

    Laura Prepon is very much alive and was willing to talk about OITNB and Alex’s relationship with Taylor.

    When she was asked if Alex and Taylor, who have had the most insane relationship, could finally “ride off into the sunset”, she said, “The Alex and Piper relationship is so awesome. It’s so tumultuous. They love each other a lot.”

    Speaking of Laura Prepon (Alex) and her crazy love affair with Taylor, It was only a few days ago when Laura Prepon admitted that she likes kissing Taylor more than Topher Grace (Eric) from That 70’s Show.

    Alaska Airlines Applies To Add Flights To Cuba

    Alaska Airlines has joined several other American airlines in seeking to fill the travel void between the US and Cuba.

    Since President Obama’s efforts to re-establish a relationship with Cuba after nearly half a century of tension, many airlines are happy to try to get their brand in Cuba.

    John Kirby, Alaska Airlines vice president of capacity planning, said in an Alaska Airlines press release, “Together with our 14 global partner airlines, Alaska Airlines offers more than 110 nonstop destinations from Los Angeles.”

    It continued, “As the largest West Coast-based airline, we’re well positioned to offer our customers convenient access to one of the Caribbean’s most popular destinations.”

    Alaska Airlines has proposed two daily flights to and from Cuba.

    At least eight airlines have submitted applications to add flights to Cuba, including Alaska Airlines.

    Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta, United Airlines, JetBlue, Southwest Airlines, Frontier Airlines and Silver Airways have all applied to add stops in Cuba.

    However, those who have actually been there and experienced traveling to Cuba might contend that Cuba isn’t quite ready for wave after wave of new tourists.

    For example, Julio Ortiz, who left Cuba in the late 90’s and now visits every once in a while said that in December he traveled back to Cuba and things didn’t go real smoothly.

    He said, “We’re talking about chaos.”

    He continued, “There’s not enough infrastructure in Cuba that can handle more than 100 flights a day. It’s impossible. All the tourists are going to go — once.”

    That doesn’t sound like something the normal American tourist would be too eager to deal with.

  • Kyle Martino: Wife Says Nanny Fired Over Explicit Text About Her Husband

    Kyle Martino fired the second nanny for his daughter with Eva Amurri after “accidentally” recieving a text from the nanny supposedly meant for a friend.

    At least that’s what Eva Amurri Martino said on her blog.

    Kyle Martino related to his wife what had happened while she was on her way home from a business trip.

    She said, “The Nanny usually arrived at 9am (and stayed until 6pm). She knew that I was arriving home on Tuesday but didn’t know what time.”

    She added, ” An hour before she was supposed to arrive for the day, Kyle got a text message from her show up on his cell phone.”

    She disclosed that the text Kyle Martino received read, “OMG. Girl, did I mention to you how hot and sex [sic] my Boss is. I would love to … his brains out ha haah. Too bad he seems not to like thick Latin women with lots to hold on to LOL.”

    Wow. That is awkward, but Kyle Martino’s wife is skeptical about the accidental situation in which he received it, suspecting the the nanny was testing the waters.

  • Yolanda Foster Says Her Kids Have “Kept Me Alive”

    Yolanda Foster opened up to Dr. Oz on Tuesday’s episode about her life after filing for divorce and her Lyme disease diagnosis.

    Yolanda Foster filed for divorce from her husband David last month, but she doesn’t blame David as much as herself.

    It seems Yolanda Foster recognizes that her battle with Lyme disease changed her, just like a major battle with any other illness would.

    Yolanda Foster said of her divorce,”The patient suffers, but the caretakers suffer too. Because life doesn’t only change for us, it changes for the person next to you.”

    She continued, “At the end of the day, David never changed, I changed. Unfortunately, these are the cards that life dealt me. It wasn’t by choice. But, I’m not the woman I used to be and I probably will never be again.”

    She added, “My focus, my energy goes to trying to get well, trying to make a difference, trying to find a cure for my children. And David’s life is really traveling, going to concerts, loud music. And I mean, I couldn’t, I can barely listen to the radio.”

    Yolanda Foster also has two children who suffer with Lyme disease, Bella and Anwar. Along with her other daughter, Gigi, her kids are what keeps her going from day to day when the pain seems like it’s too much to bear.

    Foster said of her children, “My children is what kept me alive. I remember just waiting for them to get out of school, you know, just to give them a hug and look at them for for hope. I mean they’re the ones that kept me fighting and wanting to live.”

    Yolanda Foster dealt with ridicule last month when her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star, Lisa Rinna, accused her of having Munchausen syndrome instead of Lyme disease.

    Yolanda Foster tried to explain why Lisa Rinna may have made such rude comments, saying, “You know what, they’re maybe saying what a lot of people are thinking in the world. I mean, there’s such ignorance when it comes to invisible disease and millions of people are suffering with those problems, of family members, friends and people out in the world judging them by the way they look. So, maybe they’re just voicing what a lot of people are thinking.”

  • The Oscars Were Second Least Watched In Oscar History, Was It #OscarsSoWhite protests?

    The Oscars experienced a really low viewership this past weekend with only 34.3 million people tuning in to the show.

    Whether or not the “tune out” advised by Al Sharpton had much to do with it is unknown, but it does likely have something to do with the various boycotts and protests about the lack of diversity in the nominees.

    Sharpton said in a statement on Monday, “Though clearly we don’t take full credit for the decline (in the TV audience), certainly one would have to assume we were effective and part of the decline.”

    He added, “And to those that mocked the idea of a tune out, it seems the joke was on them.”

    Viewers declined, but Chris Rock still seemed to pull it off with a highly-acclaimed turn as host.

    Even with that odd appearance of Stacey Dash, which, according to The Oscars producers Reginald Hudlin and David Hill, was Rock’s idea.

    Reginald Hudlin said of her appearance, “That was Chris’ idea. He was very enthusiastic about it. Some people have characterized it as a black Twitter joke.”

    David Hill added, “It was a social media moment, among many social media moments, and it was designed as a social media moment. We were absolutely thrilled with a couple of things in the ratings, which was that social media was up 20 percent over last year.”

    Well, Chris Rock called that one. It was definitely a social media moment.

  • Holly Holm Not Interested In Hollywood

    Holly Holm will likely not be walking the red carpet anytime soon.

    Holly Holm‘s famous adversary, Ronda Rousey, has dipped her feet in the pool and stayed a while.

    Rousey appeared in blockbusters like Expendables 3, Entourage and Furious 7. She is also slated for the new Roadhouse.

    While it’s still early in Holly Holm’s career, she has said she’s not interested in making movies. She is interested in fighting.

    And Holly Holm says she’s definitely not in it for the money.

    She said, “When you start fighting, you start in amateurs, you don’t get paid anything. You pay money out, because you’re not going to make it back.”

    She added, “You have to pay for your camp, you have to pay for your gas, you put miles on your own car, you’re paying money out in the beginning. I try to have that same passion I had in the beginning.”

    Holly Holm’s upcoming match with Miesha Tate is all about passion, not money. It doesn’t seem to matter to her that this is a huge payday waiting to be grabbed.

    She said of her Tate match coming up on Saturday, “This is the next opportunity. My mind doesn’t function like, ‘If I wait for this, it will be more money.’ That’s just not how my brain functions. There’s never a dollar sign in my mind when I’m thinking about my fighting career. I want the passion.”

    Well, the passion has been good to Holly Holm so far.

  • “Cool Hand Luke” Actor, George Kennedy, Dies At 91

    Cool Hand Luke actor George Kennedy died on Sunday of natural causes. He was 91.

    George Kennedy was most well-known for his role in Cool Hand Luke. He played alongside Paul Newman (Luke) as Newman’s nemesis-turned-follower in the iconic 1967 film.

    While George Kennedy is most recognized for his role as Dragline in Cool Hand Luke, he once said his favorite role was in Charade.

    Charade was made in 1963 and starred Kennedy, Cary Grant, James Coburn, Walter Matthau and Audrey Hepburn.

    The film followed the group as they sought to find the $250,000 they thought was left behind by Hepburn’s dead husband.

    He once said of the film, “It had Cary Grant, Audrey Hepburn, music by Henry Mancini; it was shot entirely in Paris. I have nothing but wonderful memories.”

    The Cool Hand Luke star’s grandson, Cory Schenkel, announced his death via Facebook. The post read, in part, “For 14 years I took care of my grandparents. I have traveled on many business trips and movie shoots with my grandpa.”

    Jamie Foxx made quite the statement before the Oscars regarding the protest of stars like Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith over a lack of different races in nominees.

    In fact, Jamie Foxx took a surprisingly oppposite stance when it came to racial tensions over the Oscars.

    At the American Black Film Festival Awards in Beverly Hills, which were held a week before the controversial ceremony, Jamie Foxx said, “All these Oscar talks, I don’t even trip about that.”

    He added, “I mean, what’s the big deal? I was sitting at home with my Oscar, like ‘What’s all the hubbub?”

    Jamie Foxx won that Oscar fair and square with his astounding turn as Ray Charles in 2005’s Ray. I mean, he was really amazing, right?

    Jamie Foxx went on to say, “My friend said, ‘Are you mad?’ ‘Um, kind of, but not really.’”

    He added, “I started calling Denzel [Washington], and we just Instagrammed our Oscars together.”

    He then, amid laughs called out, “#WhatsTheBigDeal?” and “#ActBetter.”

    Ouch. That must have hurt the feelings of protesters like the Smiths and Spike Lee.

    But, it must have really hurt the woman who created #oscarssowhite last year, April Reign. To her, the lack of nominees of color was a serious sign of trouble.

    Back in January, after this year’s Oscar nominees were announced and for the second year in a row all nominees were white, she said, “It tells me that the industry isn’t interested in changing the status quo and that there is a mistaken assumption that only movies about straight white males will bring in moviegoers.”
