However, things did not go smoothly for Keira Knightley on her big night.
Only minutes into the play, a man in the audience began shouting at Keira Knightley from the mezzanine railing, saying, “Keira, none of this is real! This is all an act! Christ was born of a virgin!”
According to an eye witness, the man also screamed, “I love you,” at Keira Knightley and asked her to marry him.
Keira Knightley, ever the true professional, didn’t respond and didn’t even break character.

Khloe Kardashian is creating a phenomenon after successfully tapping in to an audience of Type A personalities, and those who wish they were a little more so, in her Khloe-C-D series from her website and app.
Many who have noticed just how impeccably organized Khloe Kardashian is can now know some of Khloe Kardashian‘s secrets and steal her incredibly “OCD” methods.
First came the cookie jars. Not your mother’s cookie jars, which were filled by your mother who usually had more important things to worry about.
These were jars filled by Khloe Kardashian, who doesn’t.
Khloe Kardashian creates symmetrical stacks of Oreos, Vienna Fingers, and frosted oatmeal cookies that are a treat for the eyes as well as the tastebuds.
In the video, Khloe Kardashian admits, “I love them, but I’m also crazy,but I love to know that the rest of the world is as crazy and organized-obsessed as I am.”
She later adds, “You say OCD is a disease, but I say it’s a blessing.”
While Khloe Kardashian’s videos are full of great ideas for organizing your cookies, pantry and jewelry, there are some that might take offense at the loosely thrown around self-diagnosis of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
Those who actually have OCD, or live with those who do, would disagree with the “blessing” aspect.
Mental Health editor Sarah Schuster of The Mighty, for one, would like to shed some light on the subject for the likes of Khloe Kardashian.
After admitting she watched one of Khloe Kardashian’s Khloe-C-D videos, she addresses Khloe directly, saying of her brother (who actually suffers from OCD) in part, “My brother’s world is black and white. If he can’t do something in a way he’s deemed ‘correct,’ he feels like he can’t do it at all.”
She adds, “He easily gets stuck on tasks, making everyday things sometimes hard to get through. He’s been in and out of hospitals, and is right now back in school trying to balance his ambition and an illness that’s holding him back.”
Even Max Pemberton took to task those who casually use “OCD” as an excuse for organizing things and double-checking door locks.
In fact, he deals a pretty low blow to famous misusers of the diagnosis.
For the Daily Mail, he writes, “If people had seen what real OCD looks like, they wouldn’t be so quick to lay claim to it. Some of the worst culprits are celebrities who seem to think it’ll make them sound more interesting and quirky than they really are.”
He clarifies later, “Real OCD involves obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors that wreck your life. By obsessions, I mean thoughts, images or urges that enter your mind unbidden and bring horrible feelings of anxiety, disgust and distress.”

Queen Nefertiti is one of the most famous and mysterious characters in the study of ancient Egypt.
The story of Queen Nefertiti has captured the imaginations of generations of historians, archaeologists and simple history lovers alike for thousands of years.
Queen Nefertiti disappeared over 3,000 years ago, after ruling Egypt alongside her husband Amenhotep IV, in a fog of mystery.
Did Queen Nefertiti die? Did she take another name and rule as co-regent? No one knows for sure, but after a recent discovery inside the tomb of none other than the famed Tutankhamen, we may be closer to at least knowing where her final resting place is.
British archaeologist Nicolas Reeves, after studying high-resolution images published last year, noticed cracks in the walls disguised by the iconic Egyptian art covering the inside of King Tut’s tomb.

He believes they could be the remnants of former passageways to a tomb on the other side of the wall.
That, combined with the fact that the artistic depictions seem similar to others which have been identified as Tutankhamen and Queen Nefertiti, leads Reeves to believe that perhaps the famous queen is buried there in Tut’s tomb.
Queen Nefertiti could be just on the other side of the wall.
Speaking of the wall, Reeves said, “Without all this distracting color you can see all sort of things. You can see lines that indicate corners of cut walls, and these are the things that I noticed first.”
He added, “If I’m right, this is simply part of the entrance to the tomb of Nefertiti. The tomb, I think, continues beyond this wall. There will be a burial chamber beyond there.”
So exciting! However, we may have to wait to find out for sure if Queen Nefertiti is indeed buried on the other side of the wall.
First, Reeves will scan the proposed tomb of Queen Nefertiti using radar and thermal imaging. Then, a structural problem must be solved.
Egyptian Antiquities Minister Mamdouh El Damati said, “We must find a way to protect the tomb of Tutankhamen. Does that mean we will dig from above, below or from the side? We don’t know.”

It all started when Amy Poehler was hosting the 2014 Golden Globes and (jokingly) mispronounced his name.

Amber Heard and her new-ish husband, Johnny Depp, did a little giving back on Thursday while in Brazil.
Johnny Depp and his band, the Hollywood Vampires, were attending the Rock in Rio music festival in Rio de Janeiro when Johnny and Amber Heard decided to do something for the people of the city.
Johnny Depp and Amber Heard partnered with Starkey Hearing Foundation to help distribute hundreds of hearing aids to those locals who couldn’t afford them.
The result of which was clearly a life-changing event for a teary-eyed Amber Heard.
Amber Heard later told AP, “The reaction somebody has when they hear for the first time, in this case, you see it light up — changes their whole face. Just to be a small part of that for one moment, to watch someone’s life change in front of you, it’s moving to say the least.”
Johnny Depp was also deeply moved as he recounted one experience.
He said, “If you pass something over to someone that they haven’t had ever before, it’s very moving. This sweet little girl, I turned the volume up and I just sort of made a noise – ‘ba-ba-ba-ba-ba’ — and she went, ‘Yes! Escuchar, I can hear!’”

This heartwarming story about Amber Heard and Johnny Depp comes on the heels of a much less attractive one.
Recently it was reported that Amber Heard was feeling decidedly less charitable when she ordered Johnny Depp to sell his beloved yacht.
The yacht is dubbed Vajoliroja, which is a combination of the first two letters in the names of Johnny, his ex, Vanessa Paradis, and their two children, Lily Rose and Jack.
An insider said of the situation, “Johnny loved that yacht. But he bought it for Vanessa. And Amber is still jealous of her.”

Boehner resigns and surprises the country this week as the battle over spending that could shut down the government looms just around the corner.
Why John Boehner resigned remains unclear but easily guessed, and a replacement for that unenviable job must now be found.
House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy is somewhat next in line, and was endorsed by Boehner himself shortly after announcing his resignation.
He said, “I am not going to be here to vote on the next Speaker. But, that’s up to the next members. But, having said that, I think that Kevin McCarthy would make an excellent Speaker.”
However, speculation is building that he could be challenged by the likes of Representatives Steve Scalise of Louisiana, Cathy McMorris Rodgers of Washington state and Tom Price of Georgia.

In addition to the talk of succession is debate about how John Boehner’s departure will affect the battle over spending that could lead to the second government shutdown in two years.
Congress and President Obama have been trying to hammer out a short-term extension of funding authority to keep the government operating beyond midnight Wednesday, but so far efforts have been unsuccessful.
Now it looks even more unlikely that a newcomer to John Boehner’s vacated position could negotiate between those who are staunchly opposed to any budget that includes funding for Planned Parenthood and those who feel that other domestic programs included in the current proposed budget desperately need to be funded.
Bill Hoagland, a former Republican Senate budget adviser, did not seem jealous of the poor person who will become Speaker of the House.
He said, “For the next Speaker, he’s going to have a huge, huge problem. With the debt limit, with the expiring continuing resolution, with tax extenders, the highway bill – you almost understand why Boehner said to hell with it, I’m out of here.”
He added, “How that next Speaker makes a silk purse out of a sow’s ear come December is going to be extremely difficult.”

Nicole Brown Simpson was brutally murdered in front of her home on June 12, 1994, along with her friend, Ronald Goldman.
After accusations that her ex-husband, OJ Simpson, was the murderer and a lengthy and controversial trial, OJ was acquitted.
However, many continue to believe it was he who committed the crime and he was eventually found responsible for the murders in a later civil trial and was ordered to pay the family of Nicole Brown Simpson $33.5 in damages.
Many of us old enough to remember the trial can conjure up images of a the car chase involving OJ Simpson in a white Bronco after the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson, and many could probably tell the tale of the too-small gloves that led to the “if it doesn’t fit, you must acquit” defense battle cry.

But, thanks to forgotten footage of an interrogation before the later civil trial involving Nicole Brown Simpson’s family, there will be even more evidence to add to our knowledge about the inner workings of that tumultuous relationship.
In the tapes, which will air in the upcoming documentaries O.J. Speaks: The Hidden Tapes on Oct. 1 and The Secret Tapes of the O.J. Case: The Untold Story on Sept. 30, OJ Simpson admits to physically harming Nicole Brown Simpson.
The tape shows Goldman family lawyer Daniel Petrocelli questioning OJ Simpson. In one instance, Petrocelli asks, “Did you physically hurt her?” to which Simpson simply replies, “Yes.”
He added, “Because I shouldn’t have handled the situation the way I did. I’ve – all my life with Nicole, no matter what was going on, I handled it without being physical with her. And that time I got physical with her and I’m ashamed of it. I wish it not had happened.”
Many other damning statements appear in the video and will be complete in the upcoming documentaries, but Ronald Goldman’s father calls many of the things that come out of OJ’s mouth in the tapes “unfathomable” among other things.

Lidia Bastianich, with the help of fellow restaurateur Angelo Vivolo, was tasked with a huge responsibility for the past few days.
Best known for Lidia’s Italy and other PBS shows, as well as her Manhattan flagship restaurant Felidia, Lidia Bastianich was chosen to feed Pope Francis during his New York City visit.
Quite the undertaking for anyone, but Lidia Bastianich seemed undaunted by the pope’s presence in the the five-story Upper East Side townhouse of the Vatican’s United Nations representative where she prepared his meals.
Lidia Bastianich said of the special guest, “There’s an intimacy, a closeness, a warmth — he’s a guest who sleeps upstairs. It’s like having family visiting and you’re cooking.”
While visit and visitor were exceedingly special, Lidia Bastianich took a cue from Pope Francis’ personality and lifestyle, opting to serve simple dishes.

For example, during his first night in New York, Lidia Bastianich served the pontiff sliced heirloom tomatoes, steamed lobster and homemade burrata, which a fresh Italian cheese made from mozzarella cheese and cream.
For lunch the next day, Lidia Bastianich cooked up risotto with summer truffles and aged grana Padano cheese. She also added bagna cauda, a garlic and anchovy dip for raw vegetables, after hearing that it was a favorite dish of his.
For dinner on Friday Lidia Bastianich served homemade ravioli filled with shredded pears and pecorino cheese and for the main course, roasted striped bass with olive oil, parsley and lemon.
For Lidia Bastianich, she’s not just serving the pope, she is honoring Catholicism and all it stands for in her eyes.
She said, “In this food, for me, is everything I feel about Catholicism. … Let’s feed each other some sustenance, some love.”
The pope is already off to Philidelphia to finish out his Apostolic Journey in the United States, but he surely enjoyed the food in New York.

El Chapo has remained virtually invisible since his escape from a Altiplano Federal Prison in July.
In video footage from his cell, El Chapo appears to slip into the shower, but in reality he slips out of the prison and into a tunnel in which he made his escape.
El Chapo remains a ghost, but his son may (or may not) have given away El Chapo’s location via Twitter.
El Chapo‘s son, Alfredo Guzman, posted a photo of himself sitting and relaxing at a table with two men whose faces have been obstructed with emoticons.
One of the men might look a lot like El Chapo.

According to Phil Jordan, who spent more than 30 years with the DEA and was willing to give his opinion on the matter, Alfredo isn’t as smart as his dad.
He said, “One of the most intelligent traffickers has been Chapo. His son is not the brightest star on the Christmas tree. The best recorded intelligence on the son is that he doesn’t have his father’s intelligence.”
He added, “But I caution this could be a diversion to throw off authorities.”
Marco Monge, a spokesman for Costa Rica’s Office of Judicial Investigation, remains hopeful that it’s the town, not the country.
He said, “We’re aware of the picture that has surfaced, but we believe the Costa Rica they’re talking about is not in our country but a town in Mexico.”
It’s pretty clear that El Chapo had help with his latest jailbreak, just like with his previous one. With help going that far up, will he ever be caught again?

Stephen Hawking set the scientific world aflame last month when he announced that he could have possible solved the mystery of what happens to matter when it gets sucked into a black hole.
Stephen Hawking proposed that all may not be lost if one is sucked into a black hole. In fact, he said you could possibly land in another universe much like, or very different than, our own.
As interesting as Stephen Hawking’s theory is, he isn’t going to be the guinea pig.
He said, “The hole would need to be large and if it was rotating it might have a passage to another universe. But you couldn’t come back to our universe.”
He added, “So, although I’m keen on space flight, I’m not going to try that.”
For those of us that may not be science junkies, Dr. Don Lincoln explained Stephen Hawking’s theory in this way, “He is countering the claim that the black hole gobbles and destroys the information by positing that the information never actually falls into the black hole. Instead, the information is held on the black hole’s surface — the event horizon.”
He added, “This is an intriguing thought and is analogous to how holograms are made. Holograms are two-dimensional sheets of, for example, plastic that can make three-dimensional images. All of the information of three dimensions is encoded in the two dimensional plastic.”
Intersting stuff! But, does the theory of one of the world’s most famous scientists hold water?
Well, it seems we will have to wait for Hawking’s paper on the subject, on which he is collaborating with Malcolm Perry of Cambridge University and Andrew Strominger of Harvard University.
That will be the next step in what Lincoln deemed a “very long journey.”

Salma Hayek was granted a restraining order on Friday against lesbian couple Liana Philippon and Odette Bodagh, now exes, who stalked and impersonated her.
Philippon and Bodagh went so far as to move to Los Angeles to be closer to Salma Hayek after Bodagh’s marriage fell apart due to her obsession with the actress.
Salma Hayek‘s legal team stated in court documents, “This case arised out of a bizarre pattern of behavior by two apparently mentally disturbed individuals.”
They went on to say, “Their actions include, among others, concocting ruses to meet Hayek’s family members to obtain Hayek’s contact information, impersonating Hayek to another celebrity, attempting to directly contact Hayek herself, and impersonating Hayek in contacting Hayek’s minor child.”

It gets wierder as the document went on to claim, “In one communication while posing as Hayek, Philippon made a veiled threat regarding kidnapping and ransoming Hayek’s minor child.”
Bodagh was the only one to appear in court on Friday. During proceedings, Bodagh expressed regret, tearfully saying, “I thought there was a relationship. I was under the impression I was talking to Salma.”
She added, “I am so sorry I did it.”
Well, at least Salma Hayek shouldn’t have to worry about these two disturbed ladies for a while. However, her co-stars can sometimes be a different matter.
On Tuesday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Salma Hayek admitted that her Desperado co-star, Antonio Banderas, gave her two monkeys as a gift.

Salma Hayek said, “I had fallen in love with these two monkeys that were supposed to be in the movie and then they got cut out.”
Therefore, as a gesture of friendship Bandera gave her both monkeys, which she named Mariachi and Catalina after their characters in the movie.
“Mariachi was so nice to me. He was kind of in love with me,” said Hayek. “Catalina was jealous. That witch was awful to me. She was so possessive … So we had a little bit of a triangle.”

Alzheimer’s disease has been linked with Type 2 Diabetes in a new study published by Neurology.
The study suggests the possibility that people who suffer with Type 2 Diabetes may form more of the brain “tangles” associated with the onset of Alzheimer’s disease.
The Alzheimer’s study followed 124 aging adults with Type 2 Diabetes and almost 700 without.
Some participants had Alzheimer’s, while others had mild problems with memory and thinking.
Some others were mentally sharp with no signs of any form of dementia.
The study found that those with Diabetes had more thinning in the brain’s cortex and had higher levels of tau protein in their spinal fluid.
Tau protein reportedly indicates tangles in the brain.
One theory that researchers put out could be the cause of the link is that Type 2 Diabetes may cause brain abnormalities that pile on to other degenerative changes that ultimately lead to dementia.
Senior researcher Dr. Velandai Srikanth, a geriatrician at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia, admitted that the study shows only a correlation between Type 2 Diabetes and brain tangles associated with Alzheimer’s disease.
He said Type 2 Diabetes may or may not be the direct cause since there are many other factors to consider, like obesity. People that have Diabetes are often obese and obese people tend to have more of these tangles.
High blood sugar, an occurrence in those with Type 2 Diabetes, could also be a factor, according to researchers.
The study suggested that people with Type 2 Diabetes carried nearly twice the risk of forming Alzheimer’s brain tangles as those who don’t have it.

iPhone 7 would be preferrable to iPhone 6s for one marketing company in New York.
6s Marketing has asked, in some very quirky and attention-getting ways, that Apple’s new phone be called the iPhone 7 rather than the iPhone 6s, which would trump their company’s claim on the moniker.
6s Marketing has posted ads all over the city asking Apple, in “Dear Apple” form, to go with iPhone 7.
The ads have captured the attention of citizens all over the place due to their interesting premise and simplistic styling.
6s president, Chris Breikss, said in a statement that the name of the company is sentimental and pleas for Apple to consider iPhone 7.
He said, “The name came from a custom license plate on a Mercedes that my father and I spotted when I was 11 years old — it read SSS SSS. After much deliberation, we realized that translated to ‘six-esses,’ or ‘successes.’ Years later, that eventually became the name of our company.”
He added that the name 6s is very important and said, “After the iPhone 4S and 5S launched, we realized that our once-unique name could be in jeopardy, linked to the most popular mobile device in the world. We love Apple’s products; most of us use iPhones on a daily basis, and we’re flattered to potentially share the same name.”
He continued, “However, we would prefer that Apple change the naming convention and consider calling their next phone the iPhone 7.”
While this likely won’t be a successful strategy leading to an iPhone 7 announcement on the 9th, it will probably still be amazing promotion for 6s Marketing.

Nazi Gold Train fever has overtaken Poland after the announcement that two men had found a legendary Nazi-era train full of gold, jewels and other valuables.
The Nazi Gold Train, according to local legend, was said to have gone missing near the town of Walbrzych.
It was first thought that the Nazi Gold Train was hidden in a tunnel, but two men, Andreas Richter and Piotr Koper, said on Poland’s TVP public television that they found it buried in the ground.
The two med said that they had “legally informed state authorities” about the Nazi Gold Train and “have precisely indicated the location in the presence of Walbrzych authorities and the police.”
Richter and Koper also said that they found the Nazi Gold Train using their own sources and equipment.
Their main source in finding the Nazi Gold Train was 84-year-old retired miner, Tadeusz Slowikowski.
Slowikowski claimed that he heard from a German man in the 1970’s of a train full of gold, jewels and guns that left the German city of Breslau, which is actually called Wroclaw today, in the spring of 1945.
The train disappeared before ever making it to Waldenburg, now called Walbrzych.
The find, when it is confirmed, will be the property of the state, but Koper said the two men are ready to cover the costs of the Nazi Gold Train’s retrieval.
They want it to become a local tourist attraction, likely a very popular one.

However, they won’t walk away empty handed. As the finders, they are entitled to a 10 percent reward from the Nazi Gold Train.
In the mean time, police are working to confirm their claim and keeping local treasure hunters from swarming the site.
Deputy Culture Minister Piotr Zuchowski asked that curious citizens refrain from trying to find the site, saying that there were likely “hazardous substances” involved and that there was a “huge probability that the train is booby-trapped.”

Ronda Rousey said of the event, “Of course it’s a lot of pressure, but you know what, I’ve been able to accomplish things that seemed impossible before and this doesn’t seem like the most impossible endeavor I’ve gone after.”
She added, “I think that we’re entirely capable of doing that and I’m not done making history yet.”
However, Ronda Rousey admitted, “I kind of reassess after every fight, but I think it’s good for people to know that I’m not going to be around forever either. I’m going to beat Holly and I’m going to reassess.”

Giada divorced Todd Thompson with no pre-nup, which means he gets half of pending advances for Giada’s cookbooks that are in the works.
That sum includes a $2.5 million balance for Giada at Home/Weeknights with Giada. It also includes $2.3 million for Giada Feel Good Food, and $757,000 for Everyday Pasta/Giada’s Kitchen.
In addition to that, Todd made out like a bandit, garnering $9,000 per month in child support from Giada in the divorce.
Todd also gets to keep the couple’s home in Pacific Palisades, valued at $3.2 million.
Going with the pricey home into Todd’s possesion are $300,000 in art and furnishings and a membership in the upscale Bel-Air Bay Club.
Giada’s divorce decree dictates that the couple will share custody of their seven-year-old daughter, Jade Marie.
However, neither one will get spousal support since they’re both independently wealthy.
Giada De Laurentiis is reportedly worth around $20 million, while her ex-husband is worth closer to $15 million.
Way back in January of 2011, it seemed Giada De Laurentiis had this marriage thing tied down after a rumor surfaced that she had an affair with John Mayer.

Salma Hayek can breathe a little easier now that her request for a restraining order has been granted.
In court on Friday, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Carol Boas Goodson granted the restraining order to Salma Hayek against two women who were found to be stalking her and who had even made veiled threats to kidnap her seven-year-old daughter, Valentina.
Liana Philippon and Odette Bodagh stand accused of impersonating Salma Hayek, in two cases in particular: once to another celebrity and another time to Salma Hayek’s daughter.
The court filing by Salma Hayek‘s legal team stated, “This case arised out of a bizarre pattern of behavior by two apparently mentally disturbed individuals. Their actions include, among others, concocting ruses to meet Hayek’s family members to obtain Hayek’s contact information, impersonating Hayek to another celebrity, attempting to directly contact Hayek herself, and impersonating Hayek in contacting Hayek’s minor child.”

It continued, “In one communication while posing as Hayek, Philippon made a veiled threat regarding kidnapping and ransoming Hayek’s minor child.”
Oh, but it gets stranger.
According to one of Salma Hayek’s stalkers, she had no idea she was frightening the object of her obsession and actually thought they had a relationship.
In fact, the two women reportedly moved to Los Angeles to be closer to Salma Hayek after Odette Bodagh’s marriage fell apart because of her obsession with Hayek.
During the hearing, Bodagh reportedly begged the judge not to go through with the ruling as it would affect her career.
However, the judge stated, “You have, even by mistake, become a stalker.”

Al-Jazeera journalists Canadian Mohammed Fahmy, Australian Peter Greste and Egyptian Baher Mohammed were sentenced to at least three years in prison on Saturday in a case that has been labeled everything from “disgraceful” to “farcical” by media organizations.
The three employees of Al-Jazeera English were arrested and charged back in 2013 with aiding former President Morsi’s Muslim Brotherhood and spreading false news.
The arrests of the Al-Jazeera reporters came from the backlash following the coup by Egyptian military that unseated Islamist President Mohamed Morsi.
After the sentencing of the Al-Jazeera journalists, many countries made statements through ambassadors and other officials to many international news organizations condemning the sentence as political and unfair.
However, British Ambassador John Casson seems to have crossed a line by speaking in Arabic directly to Egyptian local media.

John Casson’s statement on the sentencing of the Al-Jazeera English journalist included the fact that he was “shocked and concerned by the sentences.”
He also insisted that the case was of “profound interest to Egyptians because it has become a symbol of the basis for stability in the new Egypt.”
He added, “I am concerned that today’s ruling will undermine confidence in the basis of Egypt’s stability, both in Egypt and abroad.”
While the appeal for a presidential pardon by human rights lawyer Amal Clooney and Canadian Ambassador Troy Lulashnyk will now be underway, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry has summoned John Casson to appear and answer for his statements.
The Foreign Ministry said that his comments were “unacceptable interference” in the country’s judicial process, and “incompatible with diplomatic norms and practices.”
The three Al-Jazeera journalists will now wait and hope for the appeal to be a success, but in the mean time, British Ambassador John Casson must face a judicial system which is clearly playing a political game.
