Amy Schumer is hot right now, there’s no denying that. Between films, her Netflix standup special, and all the critical acclaim for her Inside Amy Schumer show, it’s safe to say that people are going full Schumer right now,

So she’s having a bit of a moment. Other will have their moments, and rising stars will come up behind her. What’s her advice for such stars?

It’s pretty solid.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Schumer shared two important tips:

“Don’t ever respond to the press. Do use a condom.”

Nice.

Schumer has recently used her celebrity platform to speak out about gun control.

Schumer, of course, has ties to a mass shooting that took place in July. About 20 minutes into a showing of her latest movie Trainwreck, a gunman opened fire in a Lafayette, Louisiana movie theater.

The shooter killed two people and injured nine others before turning the gun on himself.

“If you’ve been convicted of domestic violence or if you’re severely mentally ill, I don’t think you should be able to get a gun. That seems pretty simple, but my reaction that I’ve gotten from that is … ‘She wants to take our guns’!” said Schumer earlier this month at the Glamour Woman of the Year Awards.

In October, Amy Schumer teamed up with her cousin, New York Senator Chuck Schumer, to call for stricter gun laws.
