Amanda Seyfried As Porn Star Linda Lovelace
Written by Amanda Crum

Amanda Seyfried is one of my favorite young actresses, partly because she can play anything from a bubble-gum chewing ditz (Mean Girls) to a psychotic college student with a mad crush on Julianne Moore (Chloe) and still make viewers love her. She’s got some quality that makes you want to root for her, even when her role choices are less than stellar (I was particularly sad to see her talents wasted in Diablo Cody’s horror flop Jennifer’s Body). Maybe it’s those big, clear, anime-character eyes; maybe it’s that girlish voice. Either way, she’s already got an impressive resume filled with even more impressive co-workers–including Meryl Streep–and it’s about to get even bigger.

Seyfried steps into the role of Linda Lovelace, the porn star who became so big after Deepthroat came out in the ’70s that her popularity went mainstream, in the upcoming film Lovelace, which stars just under a metric ton of hot Hollywood players: Hank Azaria, Wes Bentley, Bobby Cannavale, James Franco, Chris Noth, Sarah Jessica Parker, Robert Patrick, Eric Roberts, Chloe Sevigny, Sharon Stone and Juno Temple.

While the release date hasn’t been given yet, a poster has just been put out into the world, giving us all a teasing view of what Seyfried looks like as Lovelace, and it’s pretty hot.

The film is set for theater release in 2012, so keep your eyes peeled.
